My Thoughts On Twitter 4/9/19

Dr Michael Laitman Twitter

The importance of spiritual work is precisely when one feels like a zero, when he sees that he annuls himself completely in everything, and egoism has no more power—then he enters spirituality. (Baal HaSulam. Shamati, 19)

A request, a prayer, is more important than an answer to it. Because in a request, a person needs the Creator, waits for His mercy, stays close to Him. Upon receiving the desired, one unwillingly moves away from the Creator. (Baal HaSulam. Shamati 19)

The Creator made creation with the desire to enjoy, opposite to the Creator. All still, vegetative and animal nature acts by virtue of instinct and cannot change anything. But man is given the opportunity to change his nature if he finds a way to turn to the Creator and ask for it.

The upper (spiritual) world exists and is felt not somewhere else, but is felt instead of our world, perceived in desires “for my sake”—in desires “not for my sake, for others’ sake.” We mustn’t be transported somewhere else, but must only change our attitude to ourselves, but to #others and the world

The whole difference between our world and the upper world is our relationships. If they’re egoistic, we feel our world, if they’re altruistic, we feel the upper world. Don’t wait for humanity to decide to change its relationships to bestowal.
Do it in the ten and reveal the upper world right now!

The best and surest way to correct yourself is to care about the friends’ correction.
Then you don’t think about yourself and don’t fall, but on the contrary, you draw the correcting light—which first passes through you to the friends, as it is written, “Each one who prays for the friends receives before them.”

The Creator’s aim is to delight the creatures, while man wishes to delight the Creator. He receives this force from the Creator and fights against the Creator. It’s because the Creator wishes to delight the creatures, while we, on the contrary, fight against the Creator, against the egoism He created. But this is exactly what makes the Creator happy.

The Creator rejoices at the request for closeness in similarity with Him, for disconnection from one’s ego— desire, to be in pure bestowal to Him.
The Creator says: My sons have defeated me: I created in them the desire to receive, and they strive to acquire from me the intention to BESTOW!

If a person organizes an environment through which he receives desires that are opposite to his nature, he can form a request to the Creator for the desire to bestow.
And the Creator will give the second nature, to use the desire to enjoy with the intention for the sake of bestowal. Thus a person becomes similar to the Creator.

Start controlling your thoughts and desires, until you realize that you are receiving them from the outside, from the Creator, because there is only the Creator beside man. Then separate yourself from thoughts and desires whenever possible.
Realize that there are periods when thoughts and desires control me at the will of the Creator.

—beyond my awareness, for I can realize it only later. Further efforts to try to hold on to the realization of the power of the Creator in me. Replace these efforts with a request, prayer, to the Creator, to not break away from Him, but to break away from the blind unconscious submission to Him, that is, from the #Pharaoh.

Restriction Tzimtzum Aleph means making myself seemingly neutral, receiving both forces, “reception and bestowal” from the Creator—and I wish to be between them, use both of them only for the Creator’s sake.
That is, the intention to use both of these forces for the Creator’s sake determines all my calculations and actions.

Shame—The Transition Point

laitman_962.1The descent of spiritual Partzufim, Sefirot, and worlds from the world of infinity downward is the revelation of the desire to receive that emerges in Malchut of the world of infinity because of the feeling of shame from its oppositeness to the Creator. This oppositeness pushes the created being to seek a way to become like the upper. Therefore, all his actions, even though they make the created being more distant from the Creator by lowering him from above downward, nevertheless contribute to the revelation of the desire to receive and to the attainment of the quality of bestowal by the created being.

Yet, so far, this is not a free choice of the created being but rather just a result of the mutual work of the forces of reception and bestowal and of the yearning of the created being to balance these forces. So far, the created being develops on the inanimate, vegetative, and animate degrees, unconsciously fulfilling the program of nature. The decision made in the world of infinity continues to manifest and obliges the created being to act.

Therefore, after restricting the desire and making the decision to achieve maximum possible equivalence with the Creator, the created being begins to act according to the extent of the revealed deficiency. The first action of reception for the sake of bestowal happens in the Partzuf of Galgalta, when equivalence with the Creator’s desire was achieved for the first time through restriction, Masach, reflected light, rejection of the light, and Zivug de Hakaa (coupling by striking) with it, above the desire to receive. However, so far, this equivalence is only at a minimal, inanimate level, in the light of Nefesh.

The force of the desire (Kli) is not measured quantitatively, in kilograms or meters, but by the extent of its equivalence with the Creator. The closer you are to the Creator and the more you are like Him, the greater you are; and the farther away you are from Him, the smaller you are.

Having received the light for the sake of bestowal in the Partzuf of Galgalta, that is, having reached adhesion with the Creator in the inner light, the created being makes a new discovery: he reveals the surrounding light, the love of the Creator, who wishes to give everything to the created being. He discovers the purpose of creation in more depth and understands what should be done, how to receive all of the Creator’s attitude toward him for the sake of bestowal in order to respond to Him with the same love.

This is not about plates full of food but about the connection between the two of them: soul to soul, heart to heart. This is what causes the entire process of descent from above downward. The created being sees that from his current state it is impossible to reach the final goal and to receive the entire light of the Creator, complete adhesion and equality with Him. The Creator wants the created being not to remain a baby that completely depends on Him, but rather to grow up to the height of the Creator and to become His partner, equal to Him in everything.

The Creator is the first because He created the created being. However, in achieving similarity with the Creator, the created being must be first, it must be his choice in order for this equivalence to be a true one. Therefore, the created being rejects the previous reception in Galgalta, seeing that it is not enough and will not lead to the goal. As a result, new desires, limitations, and intentions are revealed, which require what is called the “letters of the work” to be revealed.

Through receiving the light in Galgalta in order to bestow and through rejecting it, the new Kelim, the new attitude, is born. The created being understands the Creator and himself in a new way, perceives the process of development and its ultimate goal in a new way. The collision of the inner and the surrounding light, revealed in the created being, shows him what his relation and connection with the Creator should be. On this basis, the created being builds the following Partzufim: AB, SAG, MA, and BON.

To each subsequent Partzuf, the created being comes with an increasing depth of desire, feeling more and more incapable of bestowing to the Creator, and it begins the calculation in a new way. Therefore, it is said that “the expansion of the light and its departure make the Kli fit for its task.”1

The desire to receive develops in four stages of HaVaYaH and stops, reaching full readiness to receive all the light of infinity. However, once the created being receives everything, it feels that it is opposite to the light and begins to burn from shame. This is an unbearable feeling, which forces him to get rid of the fulfillment and consequently, the created being makes a restriction (Tzimtzum Aleph).

Shame is a feeling of oppositeness to the Creator. There was no shame previously—it does not come to the created being directly from the Creator. The Creator gives desire and fulfillment directly to the created being; the Light and the vessel come from the Creator. Yet, shame comes indirectly, as if the Creator has nothing to do with it. The created being feels his oppositeness to the Creator in the fact that he receives from Him.

From this point on, he begins to feel himself as a created being. This is the point we need to reach in returning from below up, and then we will be called human, Adam, meaning similar (Domeh) to the Creator. After all, the feeling of my oppositeness to the Creator is the beginning of a human, and it demands from us to build ourselves in equivalence to the Creator.2

The Spiritual Root Of Suffering

laitman_571.03Question: Why after having gone through sufferings and seeing the results they led to, do you understand that it could not be any other way and you justify them, but when you are going through them, you cannot justify them?

Answer: You really cannot. If you think in advance: “Now I am ready for all kinds of sufferings, and trials, anything there is, because they will reveal the whole world to me, spiritual sensations!”—it is good. But after a minute of experiencing suffering, you are ready to drop everything and run away just not to feel it.
Later, you justify everything. This is how the person is created.

Question: Does this have a spiritual root?

Answer: Yes, these are the two lines that cannot yet be combined within us.

Question: So, I cannot justify them while suffering, and only later can I understand whether they were useful?

Answer: Correct suffering is felt only in the group. It is a lack of communication between the friends, lack of mutual guarantee, mutual obligations, mutual upliftment. Everything else is completely unnecessary suffering, and it is better to avoid it.

What Does The Creator Pay Attention To?

laitman_947Question: A person has a period of accumulating suffering. Does a ten have such a period?

Answer: If you are in a group, you do not need to accumulate suffering. You need to collect the friends’ aspirations and desires and elevate them to the Creator, like how parents ask for their children. This is what we all need to do.

If everyone asks for others, it will be a serious request. The Creator pays attention not to the actual desires that He awakens in us, but to the way we, through our efforts, leave our desires, take the desires of the friends, and ask for them. The most important thing is the quality of our appeal to the Creator.

If You See Only Your Egoism…

laitman_942Question: How can we stay on the spiritual path when wherever we turn we see only our egoism?

Answer: You need to increase your work in the group and try to cancel your egoism toward each other. You have to show that you specifically are playing along with each other, envying one another, to constantly rise above yourself.

This can be realized only in the group until you start receiving help from above. You can do this very quickly.

New Life 204 – Family In The New World

New Life 204 – Family In The New World
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

What are the reasons for the breakdown of human society? Is it possible to achieve constant happiness and fulfillment in our lives, and how is it possible to enjoy the family again? Building the concept of family between us depends on each and every one of the family members; all are equal in this. Each one participates in his or her part, otherwise a family would not be built. Each one gives to the whole according to his ability. The essence of the wisdom of life is in developing the ability to connect with other people. Whoever has acquired the ability to connect with others at home will succeed everywhere in gathering people around him.
