Resistance To The Wisdom Of Kabbalah, Part 3

laitman_234From the book Collection of Laws, “Blessings for Smells and Blessings for Gratitude”, Law 4: We must now approach the true righteous man of this generation, so that he will find out for us what faith is for today’s time, for faith must be learned every day anew.

And in this, the main strengthening of the evil principle in every generation is to hide and hide precisely the true righteous man of our time. As we see with our own eyes that the main disagreement about the righteous man of this generation, and then after a long time will recognize him and call him a righteous man, but they will not agree on the righteousness of the next generation.

In every generation there are disputes about the Kabbalist who lives and works at this time. They hate him, struggle with him, and cannot agree with him. This is nature.

In fact, the same thing happens in every personal state. When we ascend the spiritual steps, we can agree with the steps that we have already passed, but we are against the current state and have a lot of objections.

Only after the state has been passed through struggle, through the right, left, and middle lines, through ups and downs, and clarifications, as a result of all this, we can agree with the past, which is already included in the correction.

Therefore, the objections to Kabbalah are quite understandable. We need to consider them as an integral part of the process of development that comes from nature. We will still feel the face-to-face confrontation with the right and left lines, the power of bestowal and the power of reception—the two forces that act in nature.

Therefore, do not worry too much about the opponents of Kabbalah. We are on the battlefield of two forces. And in fact, this is not a struggle, as it seems to us, but a form of communication and correction. In this way we can study these two forces—when one is based on the other.

But at all times, a Kabbalist who lives in this generation has no chance of being recognized by his contemporaries and understood by the people. How is it possible to understand him if he belongs to the same generation? Everyone else is at such a level that they are not capable of this.

But after a while, there is a softening. Some gradually start to understand the Kabbalists of the last generation and there are some who are even engaged in spiritual work but still cannot understand his followers.

That is why even the Ari was not accepted by all the Kabbalists of his generation immediately. The renewal that every Kabbalist brings to the world in his time is not necessarily revealed in other souls. That is why it is difficult for them to agree with him.

Each generation reveals a new layer of informational genes (Reshimot), and there are souls in this layer that are more developed and are already ready for correction. and therefore, these people go all the way. And there are those who are still on the borderline and can wait.

They say that Kabbalah is the right teaching but not for them, and maybe they even do not agree with it. That is, they feel some relation to Kabbalah and, at the same time, separation and hatred appears. They begin to protest against Kabbalah.

People who began to study and then left also become opponents of Kabbalah because they need to justify themselves. Their Reshimot have not matured yet. And if a person has not corrected his desire to enjoy, then he must justify himself as to why he left the correction process.

At all times, the egoistic desire wants us to feel that we exist, that is, that we are right. Therefore, their criticism of Kabbalah is inevitable. There were a lot of such cases in our time and in the past.

Generations X, Y, and Z, Part 1

laitman_269Question: Generations come and replace each other, while each brings its own distinctive approach, relation to reality, and perception of life. And especially recently in our rapidly changing world, it becomes noticeable how the person himself is changing.

Every few years there is a new type of people with new goals and lifestyle. The generation of “baby boomers” is those born after the Second World War who are now 50-70 years old. Then comes the generation of those who are now 40-50 called “generation X.”

“Generation Y,” which is 20 to 40 years old, and “Generation Z,” which are 10 to 20 years old, and the last generation, for which there are no letters left, will probably return to the beginning of the alphabet and become “generation A.”

Each generation was formed under the influence of certain events that qualitatively changed its nature: social causes, wars, economic crises, and technological breakthroughs. Do you feel a qualitative difference between generations, and what it is?

Answer: Kabbalah does not study such differences between generations and does not take them into account. It explains to a person the reality, its perception, and teaches him to comprehend the true world that is outside of man. He begins to understand where he is and what happens to us before birth and after death in dimensions that are higher than time and space.

But Kabbalah does not investigate generations X, Y, or Z; after all, it talks about a person’s egoism, which even though it varies from generation to generation, it does not do so qualitatively. Kabbalah is engaged in changing the nature of man, and therefore is indifferent to which generation he belongs. Whether he came to study at 20, 40, or 60, his original form of perception is not important because Kabbalah changes his perception and approach to life.

Kabbalah is designed to give a person the right guidance, the correct view of reality—the only one, clear, eternal, and unchanging from generation to generation. Today it is the same as it was 6,000 years ago. This is the same method in which there is nothing to change.

Man changes with the course of history in his material, animal properties. But Kabbalah does not take them into account because its task is to develop the human in him, a new individuality that is higher than all generations of X, Y, or Z.

Question: Why then does the book Bereshit speak about ten generations from Adam to Noah?

Answer: Ten generations from Adam to Noah are stages in the development of the spiritual structure raised by man above his egoism. A person engaged in his inner correction, building a soul, passes certain levels of development, called a transition from generation to generation. But we are talking about spiritual progress.

From this point of view, generations are different as far as they awaken a person to the search for spiritual development. For example, the generation of ancient Babylon was pretty developed in this sense and so it gave rise to all of humanity, to the entire human civilization.

After the outbreak of the crisis,  a group came out of Babylon, later called the people of Israel, which was solely raising itself above all corporeal life. In this case, external, material conditions awakened the demand, the need for spiritual elevation.

The Laws Of Spiritual Space

laitman_222_0Question: Are the universal laws of the wisdom of Kabbalah applicable in our earthly sphere or do they operate only in the spiritual universe?

Answer: The laws that Kabbalah tells us about operate only in the spiritual sphere. Their impact on our world is absolute but only through the upper Sefirot.

If we begin to fulfill the laws of the spiritual space, we will simultaneously influence the laws of our world.

Is The Wisdom Of Kabbalah New Or Eternal?

laitman_265Question: Why isn’t the wisdom of Kabbalah updated and more modern? After all, everything has changed.

Answer: Laws that have been made by people, such as social, legal, and other laws change because people don’t know which rules should be in the system in the relations between people. These laws are concealed from people.

Therefore, laws thrive in human society. There is hardly any use for it because people don’t know what the true relations between people should be, so they keep making mistakes and keep trying to correct them. It is a constant never-ending work until people grow disappointed of their attempts and will replace this system with the wisdom of Kabbalah.

The laws of nature that we discover do not change. Scientists discover only what there is in nature and describe this regularity, but they don’t engage in the actual laws. Attaining the laws of nature depends on our development. When a person begins to reveal an additional system of connections in nature according to the wisdom of Kabbalah, he begins to see many new patterns of mutual connections and laws. In the future, we will see how relevant all this is.

Baal HaSulam says in his article” The Freedom” that because nature has determined that we are to live in a society, we are obliged to keep all of its laws. Otherwise, nature will demand and exact from us, regardless of whether we understand the meaning of its laws or not. The law of the rules of human coexistence is one of the basic laws of nature and we are obliged to keep it very carefully, totally ignoring our understanding.

The meaning of the law is to develop in us the recognition that self-love is bad and that love of others is good.

Moving Away From The Source Of Goodness

Question: The wisdom of Kabbalah is a science about receiving higher pleasure, but you say that the truth is attained through suffering. How can this be true? Are we destined to suffer?

Answer: Nobody is destined to suffer. On the contrary, the wisdom of Kabbalah is a science through which we attain the upper force from which only goodness is derived. But to feel this good, it is first necessary to experience the opposite feeling. We don’t need to immerse ourselves in suffering to do this. Just understanding its origin is enough for us. This is a huge difference.

I suffer from being far from the origin of goodness, and goodness is attained only within it. In the wisdom of Kabbalah, suffering is not felt as it is felt in the physical world, as a lack of fulfillment. Instead, it is a lack of the possibility of bestowing, like a cow suffers when she wants to nurse a calf, when she is bursting with an abndance of milk.

Who Is The Wisdom Of Kabbalah Meant For?

laitman_254_01Question: Who is the dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah meant for?

Answer: The wisdom of Kabbalah answers the question about the meaning of life. Man has evolved for years yet he hasn’t asked himself about the meaning of life, but lived just like all the other animals. But as his egoism grew, he began to wonder, “What is the meaning of life and the meaning of suffering? Why do we suffer or for whom?”

In our generation many ask these questions, as is evidenced by the statistics showing half of humanity is depressed. The wisdom of Kabbalah tells us what the reason is and what the meaning and purpose of life are, not those invented by man, but as determined by nature.

The meaning of life is to reveal the next level of our existence, to ascend to this level in this lifetime, to transcend the barrier between life and death, and to break away from our corporeal body. There are many people who want to do so. And there are those who come, listen, and leave since it doesn’t interest them yet. There are also those who having heard our ideas turn to religion.

We don’t force anyone to stay because the wisdom of Kabbalah is meant for those whose ego has developed to the fullest. These people ask themselves the question about the meaning of life and feel that they must get an answer for it, and they need to know its purpose.

Listen To The Words Of The Kabbalists!

laitman_259_01When I speak about the laws of nature in my lectures, people don’t like to hear what I say and ignore the information I have to convey to humanity. The laws of nature are fixed and tough laws and we have to obey them or at least listen to the wisdom of Kabbalah, which is based on the wisdom of generations that is 6,000 years old.

We need to implement these laws since they operate all of nature. If we don’t keep them, we will summon tough suppressing forces instead. The plan of the laws of nature and their fulfillment will force us to adapt ourselves harmoniously to the general mechanism of nature. The motion of all of humanity and nature that surrounds us depends on our efforts to ascend to the next level, to the next dimension, to a totally different system. Only now do physicists begin to discover the new options of transcending to a different reality, but the wisdom of Kabbalah has been speaking about that for 6,000 years.

Kabbalists experience the process of transition. They see, feel, and enter new dimensions and, at the same time, also live in our world. Although they cannot show that, they simply call us to behave more wisely for our own sake.

Kabbalists call for humanity to unite not just for the sake of world peace, this is not enough in the general framework of our general development. We must unite in order to exit the present level of our existence and reach the next level because we are ready for it and the transition is essential for all of nature.

This is the reason that nature is putting pressure on us, first on the Jews and then on the other peoples of the world. The world has completed its evolution along the positive way and this will not last much longer. We will soon witness the gradual destruction of the ties between states and nations, between different entrepreneurs etc., and so we have nowhere to escape, and we will have to act according to the laws of nature.

I take the liberty to say the most unpleasant things because it is the truth. I want to warn you about it. And don’t compare me to social and political actors, each of whom pursues what is beneficial to him, and thus promotes himself. I am not interested in self-promotion and it is even better if you don’t mention my name at all. The main thing is that you understand the goal of nature that doesn’t change its course and how it crushes all of us like a steam roller. Therefore, if we want our children and grandchildren to go through this path of development in a correct, good, and easy manner and to understand it, I appeal to you.

I look at the people who attack me and interestingly they are all sure that they know what the wisdom of Kabbalah is, but since the wisdom of Kabbalah speaks about what is against their desires, they claim that I don’t understand and that the information I convey is unreliable. The wisdom of Kabbalah is the science nature, the laws of nature and how it develops, and we have to relate to it more seriously! When I turn to the masses they believe that I am “pushing” my policy. It is not the policy of political figures from different countries who think we have to act in one way or another. I don’t think anything.

I simply convey the program of nature, the information about its laws, its method, and its trends and present it in an easy and accessible manner, so that we can undergo the situations nature will force us to undergo by its pressure anyway in a simple free and positive way. It isn’t about my personal opinion, although these things are attributed to me personally. I am simply the “translator” who conveys the secrets of nature. There is nothing that I want in what I say, and those who think that I express my own opinions in my lectures are very wrong. These aren’t my opinions but the laws of nature!

Open the original Kabbalistic books, read them and see what they say. I convey to you what the authentic primary Kabbalistic sources that were written during 6,000 years say. These sources have exonerated themselves and have been fulfilled throughout history. I am simply telling you about what is happening today and about what is going to happen tomorrow or maybe the day after tomorrow so that it will be easier for us to encounter tomorrow! You should try to relate more consciously and responsibly to what the wisdom of Kabbalah says. It is only for our sake. I am merely doing my job and don’t ask for any pay or recognition in return.

Question: What do you expect from someone who hears you?

Answer: First of all to refrain from condemning me, because a person cuts himself off from the correct understanding of what is happening in the world from the Kabbalistic interpretation of the events.

I am like a litmus test in which his relation to me determines a person’s attitude to nature. The main thing is that you see that everything that I say is absolutely not my own idea. It was written in Kabbalistic books starting from the days of Abraham, including The Book of Zohar, the writings of the Ari, Ramchal, Baal HaSulam, Rabash, Rav Kook, and others. Their main idea is a call for unity, to connect and to unite despite our impulses to be separate, to compete, and to push each other. Our role is to unite above the separation; this is the goal.

Question: What should a person who hears this call do?

Answer: There is a method of unity for the masses that is basically fulfilled by sitting in a circle and discussing different issues according to the wisdom of Kabbalah. People suddenly feel close in a circle, and when they get closer a special force is revealed between them, a feeling of elation about our world.

There is a method of unity for the masses, which is implemented mainly in the circle. By sitting down in a circle and starting to discuss what Kabbalah advises, people suddenly feel closer to each other, and this convergence evokes some kind of special power and warmth. They feel like they are raised above our world.

So I would very much like to see in a circle people who seriously perceive my words, instead of vilifying me. We will all be better off if we go through this period in history so that at least something will be left of us.

How Can We Feel The Upper World?

Laitman_109Question: How will I know that I have transcended to an upper level of existence?

Answer: You will see and understand it by what you experience because you will transcend to a state that is not limited by your corporeal body, mind, or corporeal feelings. You will begin to perceive everything not inside you but in the general mass to which you are fully interconnected and in which all the people on the planet acquire a single attribute of one single human being.

We have to experience the upper state by studying the wisdom of Kabbalah in order to truly feel and understand it; the wisdom of Kabbalah is a practical scientific method. Just as you have been taught in your childhood to perceive this world, to be in it, feel it, clarify it, and respond to different situations, so you will also be taught in a much more profound manner how to perceive the upper world.

You were born with corporeal senses, but you have to create the spiritual senses by yourself through your connection to others. This method is not created and automatically fulfilled in a person.

All have to discover it inside themselves. Even if one of the students refuses to do so now, he will still have to come back to finish “his game” later. It cannot be any other way because we are in development. The levels of the still, vegetative, and animate nature are the phases of evolution we have undergone, and now we are facing the next phase, the human level, on which we will exist in a general, collective, inclusive, integral form of man.
