Striving To Reveal The Meaning Of Life

79.01Question: A person is not able to look into himself, it is against his nature, he does not see his flaws.

Self-knowledge is not always pleasant. Suppose I have always considered myself a good person, well-mannered, intelligent, well-behaved toward others. Suddenly, when I begin to study Kabbalah, the exact opposite is revealed to me.

What is this force that allows a person to advance even though he sees more and more flaws in himself?

Answer: It is pressure from within, which is called a point in the heart in Kabbalah.

A person receives a desire to reveal the meaning of life that he cannot stop; if I do not reveal the essence of existence, then life has no worth to me, it has no meaning. I cannot exist senselessly.

That is, I achieve development when I must solve this issue for myself. I cannot put it all aside and go on living. I have no other fillings, pleasures, or needs. I agree to exist, but only against my will. It is better to fall asleep altogether and not wake up.

This is how big my desire to attain the meaning of life is. Precisely this desire is a human one, it is the human inside me.

Everything else—following fashion, following the neighbor so as not to be worse than him, acquiring a profession, giving birth to children—is all necessary, but it does not fill me.

I do not judge other people for their need to enjoy, for filling themselves with something else, but I cannot do it. If I have such an urgent demand, it is precisely this demand that is called human. There is nothing to do about it. It gives me tremendous strength.

Engage In The Eternal Part In You

294.3Question: There is an unwavering goal of development, and all the suffering directs me only to the highest goal. Therefore, should I be aware that by simply helping others in everyday life and not directing them toward the goal, I seemingly am taking a painkiller and the disease continues to progress?

Answer: Of course. If you asked me what to do with humanity, I would answer: “Let them work two or three hours a day to earn a living and nothing more. And the rest of the time, put people in class to engage in their spiritual development, in their eternal part.”

Develop it while we are still alive in this world so that each of us begins to feel his eternal perfect state before the death of the physical body.

Depression Is Characteristic Of The Times

611Comment: The lack of enjoyment of material life and the desire to comprehend its meaning is very similar to a state of depression.

My Response: No. I have experienced these states, they are not at all depressive. Maybe there is some kind of depression in them because a person cannot be enthused about what others are interested in. He looks at the world around him: What makes people laugh? What do they admire after all?

The fact is that people go through depression on the way to revealing this true desire. Therefore, depression is such a common problem in the world today that even pets become infected with it from their owners. Antidepressants are also produced for pets.

All layers of nature depend on each other. I am sure that in plants, if we were able to properly examine them, we would find depression.

Is This My Life? Or Did I Dream It?

423.01Question: If a person did not use the opportunity to reveal the meaning of life and lived it the way everyone lives, what remains as a result of all his efforts, passions, aspirations, and hopes?

Answer: Nothing. The animate body dies and its informational part continues to exist in a new body and develops further. And so it happens again and again. Each generation is born anew, that is, naturally; it is not bodies that are born but information that passes into new parts again and again.

It seems to us that we give birth to children by giving a woman our seed, she gets impregnated, and a new person is born. No. It just seems that way because it is just the animate part.

The fact is that at the same time we transfer to each other a huge amount of information that exists, as it were, around this seed that is fertilized and begins to develop in the mother. This information is all around us. It is our most important essence; it determines generations and their gradual change and growth.

We live in a generation where we begin to seriously ask why we exist because the accumulation of information forces us to learn about the meaning of life. Ultimately, this is a question about the meaning of suffering.

It is expressed in the fact that a person begins to feel the state he is in: this life is like a dream, it is not real, it is some kind of a game. I get up in the morning, run to work, do something—what for, why? Everyone around me does the same thing running back and forth. It is like a kindergarten. Something incomprehensible. I participate in the general game.

I watch TV, they constantly show me the way I should be, what I should purchase, how I should behave, and tell me I should take an example from the rich and famous. There is a game going on all around.

Some pictures are constantly being played out in front of me, and I repeat them all the time. I see this artist, and I am already acting like him. I read something, saw something, heard something, and according to it, like a monkey, I began to behave the same. That is how we live.

I even catch myself  the moment I see myself imitating the image, the example I saw somewhere, this is how I am going to approach, this is how I am going to turn out, this is how I am going to act, like a wound-up mannequin participating in some kind of a common game. And so is everyone else.

When you look at it from above, a picture emerges that is stunning in its primitiveness, amazing in its pre-conceived flat emptiness! And when we understand this, while at the level of this emptiness, then, of course, we come to this feeling that we are in a dream.

It is said in Kabbalah that we are all asleep—the whole world is asleep—we are in an unconscious state relative to spirituality. I do not see that I am being controlled, I do not see my next state, the next moment.

Of course, I can assume something. But in fact, we see that we cannot plan anything in advance to make it come true. It turns out that we need the revelation of the Creator, i.e., the revelation of global nature. And this happens through self-knowledge.

Question: And there are no boundaries in this desire?

Answer: There is a boundary; when you reach the absolute revelation of your own and the external nature, you will come to overall harmony.

Life’s Special Moment

025.01Question: You say that there is a moment in every person’s life when he is given the opportunity from above to realize his individuality, his soul, meaning to come to a higher, eternal level of existence. What is this moment?

Answer: There is a moment in every person’s life when he feels that he must find the meaning of existence, find out why he lives. Moreover, not necessarily from a bad state. He just feels that he has to find himself, that this is not real life, there is something besides it. It can’t be that it is like that.

It’s some kind of game, some kind of dream, something that doesn’t really exist. And everyone plays it, everyone seems to pretend: Now I was born, I live, now I have a family, children, now I work, now I’m running after some special purchases. A game. This is the same kind of a game that children play. Only for ourselves we have elevated it to the rank of special seriousness. And what is the seriousness here? There’s nothing here.

And it turns out that when I start to feel it, the question arises: “What to do next?” Where is there something in me that I would not pretend, not play? Something actually so internal, deep, and gentle, that it’s even scary to touch—it will be very painful.

When a person reaches such a state, he gets the opportunity to start exploring the meaning of life.

What Does The Inner Arrangement Of A Person Give?

79.01Question: Let’s say a person’s suffering led to the question of the meaning of life. How does he begin to develop the human level in himself?

Answer: If a person really has a real question about the meaning of life, he comes to Kabbalah.

He instinctively senses that somewhere there is a source that can give him the answer to this question. In the process of searching, he stumbles upon various pseudo-sources, the study of which takes from five to twenty years. But in the end he is not satisfied with them and finds the science of Kabbalah.

Question: But a person who studies Kabbalah also lives in society. He is a normal citizen, works, serves in the army, and gets married. How is the right balance established between his spiritual development and everything else?

Answer: Striving for the highest, for comprehending and understanding oneself ,will determine the rest of his life.

He should not be smart; he should not invent how to arrange this life. Without knowing the general laws of nature, he will not be able to equip it better.

And the striving to achieve harmony, to comprehend the upper force, which Kabbalah reveals, this is precisely the inner arrangement that occurs in a person with the study of Kabbalah. His properties, his goals, his aspirations, his changes, all these metamorphoses that he goes through in himself lead him to a state where he is forced to rebuild himself, his attitude to the world, and ultimately to rebuild the world. This state determines everything.

That is, we do not need to deliberately, artificially break something in this world. By changing ourselves, we will gradually change the world around us.

The Elites

962.5Question: What will bring about a change in the control of the elites who manage us?

Answer: It is impossible for something to change because anyone who reaches a top position is ready to continue managing things the way it was, and no one leads to any revolutions on his watch. In order to perform changes and lead to revolutions, we need the right conditions, and we don’t see that there are such conditions because people are already used to the state they are living in.

They have been working like slaves for many years, receiving crumbs from the rich, some trips abroad, travelling, theater, cinema, television, and all kinds of things that are meant to confuse them, and this is how it goes. The people at the top, rich people and managers, live differently and that’s the way it will be. There cannot be equality all of a sudden.

Question: What can change the basic conditions?

Answer: Understanding the essence of life, the goal of life, the value of life, understanding that life is not measured by money. In order to attain this, we need a new education.

The Best Years Of Life

294.2Question: Some researchers consider the ages between 30 to 34 to be the best years of a person’s life. From about 45 to 55 people experience the greatest stress, which weighs heavily on them. People feel satisfied before the age of 45 and after 55. At 75 the satisfaction curve has a sharp drop. Surprisingly, almost none of the respondents called childhood the best years of their lives.

What period of life would you call the best?

Answer: I have a different measuring scale, different values, so I can’t say. It is not childhood, youth, adolescence, nor growing up. The best years were when I met my teacher, when I was completely financially independent and could work only on my spiritual growth.

Comment: This determines the best years, although it was a time of ascents and descents.

My Response: But they were spiritual, not any other kind. They were not physical or material.

Question: So when a person determines the purpose of his life, the best period of his life starts with and continues from that moment on?

Answer: Yes, and age doesn’t matter.

Question: Does it go on and on?

Answer: I believe so, yes. This period has not passed for me yet. I hope it doesn’t end before the end of my life. I’m still planning something, awaiting things, etc. In this sense I am at a certain advantage compared to most people who determine what was good and what was bad.

I believe that a person should achieve such an attitude to life, even taking into account the whole situation that exists around him, and where he is generally happy. If he holds on to some enduring values, then we can say that he is happy.

Question: And it doesn’t matter whether diseases befall him, or God knows what else happens?

Answer: Yes. He relates to the upper management, therefore it does not bruise or destroy him, he doesn’t fall. He perceives it as a necessary condition for his further inner growth.

Question: In other words this is good advice to a person: find something eternal and indelible, hold on to it, and then there will be no such thing as a good or bad period in life?

Answer: No. It’s not up to us, it depends upon the root of our soul. We have nothing to complain about. We should simply try, under any circumstances that manifest themselves, to keep a certain course of realization of our inner program.

Question: Can we say that each person has his own purpose in life? How can we determine it?

Answer: By realizing the root of your soul. Because the body and the whole environment that is around us is only there to supposedly interfere with us, but in fact it is so that we realize ourselves, our spiritual root. This is given to everyone. But only if a person wants it.

What Is The Meaning Of Our Reality?

537Question: What is the meaning of our reality?

Answer: The meaning of our reality is that we start revealing the highest true reality inside of it.

It is absolutely opposite to ours, it is based on the property of bestowal, love, and connection. And we, in order to comprehend it, must enter the period of the conflict of opposites.

That is, our egoism opposes us in this, but thanks to its opposition,  called “help against you,” we can cognize the highest reality.

Comment: In the phrase “help against you,” one part kind of cancels the other.

My Response: But it is necessary to realize that it is in this way that we rise above ourselves. But this is not the reality that you see in your egoism. You must begin to feel the second reality, which is higher than egoism. And it is thanks to the opposition of these two realities that you will be able to find the tools to control your destiny.

Question: Do you lead those who begin to study Kabbalah to this concept?

Answer: We lead them there literally from the first lesson. But what they hear and when they begin to perceive and realize it, this really depends on the people.

This is a special language—the language of understanding, the language of internal adjustment to what is said.

Question: So this breakthrough should take place? Do you need to cross this border?

Answer: Yes. It takes a long time. Sometimes ten years or more.

Today this is done in such a world that I think a real person will not be afraid of it. He will understand what is included in serious science. And in order to realize such things in oneself, it really takes several years.

This science is not easy, but it is the science of the foundation of our world. It doesn’t owe you anything, and you don’t owe it anything either. This is the same as studying any technical science: physics, chemistry, no matter what. That is, if you can learn, you can use it. If you can’t, then you cannot. This is your business.

There are no conditions here. There are no entrance exams, nothing. You want to do that? Go ahead. But keep in mind that at best you will still understand that nature is much deeper than we imagine it, and it is so magnificent and endless, not within our understanding, that it is worth trying to reveal it. At the same time, you expand the horizons of your life in time, in sensations, in space, in everything.

Question: You always say that this is the science of life. What do you mean by that?

Answer: This is the science that explains who we are, what we are, why, how we live, and how we exist. And the main thing is the science of who controls us. And this is the most important thing.

Question: And if I feel it, then what will happen to me?

Answer: Then you can control yourself, your destiny.

Come and try it. We do not invite you, we offer this to you.

What can a person do in order to begin discovering meaning and self-determination?

Answer: He should ask what he is living for. In fact, more viruses will come along that will help us in that direction. They help us a lot by shaking us up and detaching us from our previous engagements. Basically they perform internal changes in each and every one of us.
