Comment: In the past there used to be a strong unity of the people during times of war; today on television and in the newspapers clashes are constantly happening between the right and left despite the fact that a war is going on [in Israel] and it would be desirable to unite.

Answer: I think that no appeals will help unification. We simply must explain to people what their task is with the help of workshops and roundtables, otherwise nothing will get done.

Comment: But the people don’t like to hear about their mission, about their task.

Answer: Do they want to continue to fight? In my opinion, the present action in Gaza convinces us that there is no solution. Wars will occur more often. If they were once every ten years before this, now they will return every year and a half. Our neighbors recover very quickly.

Comment: This means that we must conclude that the solution of this problem is irrational.

Answer: The solution is not irrational. The unity of humanity into a single unified system will influence the surrounding world and us for the better. What is irrational about that?

We are in a closed system that will begin to exist in internal harmony. And this is natural; all physical, chemical, and other processes teach us about the correctness of such a state.

Our bodies exist in the same harmony even though it is composed of different organs that oppose each other. But there is a system that organizes the functioning of the body in an adaptive way, with homeostasis, with inner balance, and manages it. We must have that kind of homeostasis between us. For despite the multitude of peoples, civilizations, and cultures, all of humanity is in itself a single system.

The Jews are the same group of people who were the first to understand and recognize the nature of this system, the first to accept the law of unity, “and you shall love your neighbor,” the first in the gigantic laboratory called “humanity” who need to come to this and through themselves bring it to all the others.

Question: The idea is that it is necessary to believe this?

Answer: Do not believe it! Begin to act this way and you will see that this is so. And if you don’t want to, then life will force you. So why suffer for nothing?

We must talk about this to our stubborn and stiff-necked people, organize roundtables for them, explain many times in all kinds of ways the essence of our task and try to bring them to such a state where once they sit around the table, they will begin to feel that some kind of unique creative force will truly be revealed between us. With its help we can build a new structure of the nation and the people.

We must constantly and patiently explain this to the people. Again and again! This is the process of education.

Question: If you had the opportunity to go out before all of the people of Israel, for example, through the newspaper or television, so that everyone would be able to read or listen to you, what would you want to say to them?

Answer: I would say to the people of Israel that in our world there is a special faucet in the hands of every person.  Ae person can open up the tap and get the upper force from there which will begin to work on him.

This faucet is Channel 66 [in Israel, kab.tv on the Internet] that can be turned on by his regular television remote. He could open this faucet, connect himself to this source, and he will get nourishment day and night. And then he will see how this will begin to influence him.

And likewise, if he has the possibility, then he can participate in our activities, in unity workshops, and discussion circles. Nothing more is required.

Question: This means that it is an opportunity to go to the “Kabbalah for All” centers that are scattered throughout the country or to connect to Channel 66? Suppose that I clicked on Channel 66 with the remote and opened this faucet to the upper force: What next?

Answer: Next is that the force found on this channel would begin to work and influence you. I don’t have anything more to add. All the rest the person will get from this channel. Nothing is demanded of him except for pressing on the two buttons: “6-6” and that’s all. We hope that he will at least do this. For indeed it is said: “What the mind doesn’t do, time does.”

Question: But to wait until time will do this, this means to go on the path of suffering? We don’t want to wait until the person suffers enough and will then come out of desperation!

Answer: What else can I do? I invite and explain. Absorb everything that comes out of this channel and you will see how you will begin to see what is happening. And as a result of this understanding, meaning from the inner change, an external change will happen in the world.

The way of correction is like this and in a this way you will feel how you realize the Torah, not that Torah that you are used to thinking of but the true Torah.

I wish for all the people of Israel to advance by the good way of the Light, the way of “I will hasten it” (Achishena) and not by the way of suffering and wars. In any case we must advance forward and make sense of the world, there is no doubt about it. We must be the adapter that connects between the upper force and the nations of the world; this has been known since the days of Abraham.

There is no choice, we cannot flee from this task. So we hope that we can realize our mission in the good way of the Light. “So let there be Light”!

Comment: I participate in roundtables organized both for Hebrew-speaking Israelis and Russian-speaking people [in Israel]. In this case, Israelis are more like children: they are much more natural, closer to nature. But Russian-speaking people are stiff, ironic, with very logical thinking. Having accumulated an experience of powerful anti-Semitism, they believe only in power.

Answer: Belief in power is just irrational. Suppose we are surrounded with chemical warheads on all sides. Do we have an opportunity to reflect them? They would click on a button and that’s all. Or they would dig a thousand tunnels and begin to come out of them right in the middle of your yard, and you would be able to do nothing.

Today, fewer and fewer people believe that the solution to the problem is on the level of power. This is evident from the despair that fills the people. There are only a few steps from despair to the acceptance of the method of Kabbalah as a solution, and we must try to make them. This is our people, our destiny, and it is in this historical moment we have to do this.

With the fighting, we gain the ability to disseminate, educate, bring people up. Thus, we need to act quickly in this period otherwise a new stage will arrive, which will relax people, will put them into a state of false peace. The more we organize with each other as one man with one heart, the further we will move the threat of war and increase a favorable attitude towards us from our neighbors and from the entire world. Let’s check.

What’s wrong with this experiment? What will we lose in this case? We do not invest anything but good efforts with respect to our own people! We are not going to pay anything to anyone, to give, to bow down—no! We need to create a good, kind atmosphere within the state, which, by the way, occurs among us only during a war; common grief brings us closer. So, let’s do this in everyday peaceful life and see how the war ends in the world.

Comment: You say this project does not cost a lot of money.

Answer: This is not only about money! How many people die on the roads? What problems exist in families with children? We will balance everything by bringing people closer.

To begin with, we will sit at the roundtable and talk. A good effort will still pay off. There will be fewer problems on the roads, in families, the number of drug addicts will decrease, health problems will be reduced.

Comment: I can tell you from my own experience that it really works. But the fact is that it is very difficult to make people sit in a circle and just explain this to them.

Answer: Let’s start with mothers whose children are at the front, and with former and future soldiers, that is, those who feel the current situation more acutely within.

Comment: Usually our wars are ended by outside pressure.

Answer: But Hamas does not want a truce with us, and we can safely continue actions. I believe that in military terms, we need to occupy Gaza again, and if we cannot turn the world’s attitude towards us in the favorable direction and we have to hand Gaza over, then we have to hand it over only to Abu Mazen. That’s all. Without Hamas.

Question: So, you think that even if the world begins to shout at us, we should not listen to it?

Answer: If we begin to unite, the world will not yell. Thus, we should by all means continue and strengthen our roundtables.

We should understand that we have no choice: The ball is in our court, those who have the method, and we have to act. No one but us knows what to do in this situation.

Eventually, everything depends on the art of organizing a circle because there is no other way to awaken the feeling of unity in people.

If we organize a circle and unite, we actually draw the Light that Reforms upon us and thus serve as an infusion of good energy to the world.

The debate continues about issues which seemingly make no sense: about the history of the Israeli nation, about its uniqueness, about why our name is constantly in the headlines, and why all the other nations have been focusing on us throughout history, why such a small state is the origin of all the religions and faiths in the world?

We speak about such facts that make no sense, but are true! The world sees it and is turning more and more against us. This doesn’t make sense, but we have gotten used to this and think that it is the norm, not that there is any rationale.

Question: But every nation has problems concerning its inner unity, why do we have to work on our unity in addition to taking military actions?

Answer: We shouldn’t discuss military actions at all. This conflict has no military solution. The solution is actually in the society. We have to become as one man in one heart, and thanks to that, the whole world will also unite into one heart. All of humanity will become as one man! This is how it works.

Question: What should we do if there are people who understand this but others who don’t?

Answer: We need integral education here. When you started school you didn’t know high mathematics, history, and geography, but you were gradually taught all that. This is called education, which is a continuous process. We have to keep it up and continue.

Question: Will we see how one collective opinion is starting to spread among us?

Answer: We will not just see how one opinion spreads among us; it will also become our common opinion. After all, we will establish our collective desire and opinion, which means a common heart and mind. It makes no difference whether we know how this happens because it is fulfilled by the upper force. We sit in a circle, we speak, and suddenly we begin to feel that we are becoming round and that we merge in the center of the circle.

Question: In the sources we are told that the Creator manages all the wars for us; He fights for the children of Israel, expels them from their land and returns them to it, provides victory and defeat. Is this correct also in the twenty-first century?

Answer: Actually it is not that simple. Indeed, we don’t know exactly what happened in ancient times so it is difficult to make the comparison today. First of all we must understand the concept of “the wars of Israel.”

In fact, all of the wars of the children of Israel happen within them, against the “evil inclination” that disturbs their connection. Because of their inability to connect and to convey the method of correction to the whole world, external problems are added to their inner disturbances and we must invest effort in them also. That is how many wars were fought.

On our way from Egypt, we passed by way of Mount Sinai and the Sinai desert; there we fought not just once against Amalek and against other enemies. After that the wars of the conquest of the land of Israel began; seven nations dwelled there and we were compelled fight against them to expel them from the land.

But these were internal wars. The seven nations lived both in us and in our world. And in general, what happens within the soul is also copied outside; our world is a copy that is a reflection of our soul.

So the foundation of all of our wars is internal. It is up to us to fight against our ego that separates and distances us. And according to the Torah it is up to us to be as one man with one heart. We always need to fight for connection.

Question: This means that there is a goal that is determined from the start for all of these wars?

Answer: Right, there is one goal: to reach connection according to the present level, the present period. The picture that we see outside is found within us. This means that all our haters, all the anti-Semites, and in general the people, humanity, all of reality, everything is within me. And only so that I will have the possibility of relating to all this correctly do I see this external reflection that makes it possible for me to differentiate and recognize what is happening, and thus fight. But the war is internal: to connect my good characteristics and to advance with their help, to rise above my bad, egoistic characteristics. That is how I am victorious over my enemies, my defects. And then, on the outside, I also defeat the external enemies.

But the victory is only by means of the Light that Reforms. It is written, (Kiddushin 30b) “I created the evil inclination, I created the Torah as a spice, for the Light in it reforms.” This refers to the power that separates us and also the power of the Light that helps us connect and win.

Question: How does this mechanism work in a nation in a state of war? More precisely I am referring to the nation of Israel that is engaged in a war with Hamas?

Answer: We are not making the corrections, we have not connected between us, we have not connected with the nations of the world, and we have not helped them to unite with each other. We are to blame for their present situation because only through us does the Light reach the world; we must be a “light to the nations.” And if we don’t do this, then we have a war. Those characteristics that we haven’t corrected through connection seem to us like our enemies and our haters.

Have we succeeded in correcting them? Have we succeeded in winning this war? The true hero is the one who “transforms his haters into his lovers.”

Question: War always inflames passions in the people; there are those who agree and those who don’t agree, each one has his own opinion. Are these signs of separation that we must correct? Is it worthwhile to stimulate debate to try to connect all the extremes together?

Answer: Yes, nevertheless, the war is designed to awaken us. War in itself cannot correct anything. Only through a chain of troubles can it push us to a compulsory understanding of the situation, until we understand that it depends only upon us. But this is not with the armed forces or our military strategy, rather only with connection, with the Arvut that we attain among the people and become an example of the right connection that makes it possible to overcome the crisis and reach general harmony.

Question: So how can we wage war after it has already broken out?

Answer: Without a choice we are fighting an external enemy and yet we clearly understand that, in fact, we are fighting with an internal enemy. Along with the military operations, it is up to us to strengthen, expand, and increase the connection between us because this is the main part of the war. The troops who are in Gaza, the “Iron Dome,” all of these are imperative only to gain time for the internal corrections.

Question: Every moment is precious! Our friends are falling on the battlefield. So how can we become wiser while we are immersed within the endless maelstrom of the news?

Answer: There is no need to disconnect from the flow of news, although most of it is not correct and not accurate. But nevertheless I would suggest being involved with connection. This means coming to workshops that we are doing all over the country, entering our website and learning what connection between people is. Even mental effort, even reading some article, is already a big correction, and through this the Light is extended through us to all of the people of Israel and through it to all the nations of the world. That is how everything will calm down.

Come, let’s do this with all of the people of Israel, and then we will see results throughout the world. Everyone will suddenly support us, including our uncompromising neighbors.

Question: This means that to have a breakthrough it is enough to open the doors and go towards one another?

Answer: Yes, “We open the doors of the heart”.

These are the “wars of Israel” and not battles against external enemies that we still conduct. The true battle is waged within the heart, within the yearnings of Yashar-El, when we fight to connect our hearts into one whole heart, to be as one person with one heart.

Indeed, the people of Israel at Mount Sinai were standing before an immense ego, a mountain of hatred (Sina), under conditions of connection. And the land of Israel (Eretz Yisrael), is a desire (Ratzon) directly yearning for the Creator (Yashar-El), the desire to bestow, for “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

To reach the land of Israel we had to accept the conditions of Arvut, connection, to be as one person with one heart, and after this to pass through a correction of forty years. But modern Israel has already existed for 66 years and we have not neared one another by even one millimeter, probably it has been closer to the opposite; apparently there is no people of Israel and the land of Israel doesn’t exist as an internal spiritual concept in which we must live.

And there are no wars of Israel in the true sense, for we are not fighting to become the people of Israel in the land of Israel, rather we are just a bunch of exiles.

Question: If the war is a “battle” to connect the people, so how exactly does the Creator manage the battle?

Answer: If we succeed in breaking through the current orientation and succeed in attracting the Upper Light, the power of connection, then it will fight for us.

Comment: Today there is a war; rockets are falling and Israelis are looking for shelter. This catastrophic situation is forcing many people, even those who are secular, to pray for salvation. This is happening on its own, naturally.

Answer: This is regular animalistic fear. A person wants to escape the threat, to save himself from misery, i.e., the lack of fulfillment, and the negativity that has been revealed. Essentially, if a person does not pray for unity, then he is no different from an animal, to whom it is also natural to strive to keep safe from disaster.

The addition of the human level is the ability to understand the cause of evil, ask for correction and a desire for unity with others. This approach is opposite to the usual egoistic state, and this will allow man to save himself from disaster. It can only be done through unity.

Question: The Creator says that He actually wins our wars, not us. What does this mean?

Answer: We do not have the strength to prevail over the current conditions and use them for the good. We only have enough strength to conquer, defy, and kill those who were assigned from Above to play the part of our enemies. However, this does not solve the problem or correct anything. If we succeed, it can raise our opinion of ourselves, make us more proud, and distance us further from the goal, which is self-correction. In this way, our success in a corporeal war does not lead to goodness.

But if after the combat, we use the lulls to “return to the source,” that is, to form the correct system of relationships between the people of Israel, as well as between them and all the nations of the Diaspora, then we will really use the war as intended.

But if we do not do this, then victory makes us live in a fantasy world and think that we are better than others. This will result in even greater disaster for us in the future, which will promptly follow.

Comment: The nations of the world blatantly criticize Israel for protecting their citizens from terror.

Answer: And this is just the beginning. Everyone in the world, including the Jews of the Diaspora, will eventually be against us. Everyone abroad fiercely despises those who live in Israel. And the people of Israel will divide.

Where does this kind of hatred lead? First of all, they will break all ties with us, and without them, it is impossible to exist in the modern world.

Then, they will demand that we do not touch the Arabs, and they will support them. And what will we do then? The global mass media do not forgive us for defending ourselves and they blame us for the death of innocent people. But when rockets fly at our civilians, terrorists are getting away with it.

Why is this? Because the world does not see us as innocent. They see us as guilty, even without any connection to the war. In essence, this is their message: “Either you correct the world or die. Otherwise, get out of here.” Moreover, I am not sure there will be a country willing to accept us. Who needs the Jews if they only bring misery to the world? Let them drown in the sea.

Comment: This looks like a war for survival.

Answer: This is a natural state, there is nothing new here. These laws were described to us a long time ago and we finally need to acknowledge them. Yes, we are die-hard stubborn and cannot be “broken,” but to what degree?

Question: Is there anything new about the current war? Does it attest to a new stage of development?

Answer: This new degree of development is in people beginning to feel helpless. Even if the current campaign gives us a break, there is no actual solution. The entire world is against us, all our neighbors are against us, and we will not even be allowed to fight them. There is no hope for a way out.

The Arabs, who lived here before our return, demand their land back, they disagree with this land becoming the home for Israel and ask, “What right did you have to kick us out of here 66 years ago? We disagree. This is our land.” Each of them can say this and will be right.

On what basis did we come here and exile them? Only doing it for their good can justify this action. And only the Upper Force gives us the basis to do this, because we must bring the entire world to correction. In this case, the situation is different because we act for the benefit of all the people, including those who lived here.

When we step on this path, we will see that they also see that we are right and will agree with it. And then,as the prophet Joshua said, the nations of the world will lift the sons of Israel onto their shoulders and carry them to Jerusalem. They will help us do everything.

Question: How is it possible to explain to people what the Light that Reforms is? Nobody will believe me.

Answer: Involve them in an activity so they will feel this power themselves. Use fewer words, the main thing is that a person will get the sensation that is in the connection, that between us it is possible to create a good state. It is necessary to reach unity and closeness of hearts, and then people will feel that within this connection of the hearts there is a general higher force present for them that can control them and fill them to perfection.

If you give people an experience like this that they feel, then there will be no need to explain anything to them. You think that it is necessary to explain things like in a lecture at a university from the point of view of logic, but there is no logic here. This is something that is completely irrational.

An irrational phenomenon means that it is impossible to see a precise system that is active between the initial state and the result in it.  The system is hidden because we don’t have the senses and mind that would make it possible to see it.

This is an internal system of nature that is not seen by us. But if we near it, we begin to discern it and this world will appear transparent to us. The connections between all of its parts will be revealed and then we will see how we are connected: Israel, every human being, and all the events that are happening with us now.

Then it will be clear to us that we have no other choice in this situation: First and foremost we, as the ones who possess this method, must go out and begin to explain it to people. And we must explain that in this we are turning to the feelings of people, not their intellect, guiding them through specific states and performing exercises with them from which the understanding will come to them.

The people themselves will scrutinize all the answers by discussing our questions in circle. We don’t need to prompt them with the answer; they will find it by themselves, and that is how they will advance time after time.

That is the game! That is the way a small child learns about life. It is possible to explain it to him a thousand times, but this won’t help until he tries himself, trying to do it one way or another, and in the end it succeeds for him. In this manner he learns. It is impossible to get by without effort, without investing energy in something that we don’t know. That is how we learn and grow.

We organize a workshop in a circle and ask questions, and within the circle it is necessary to attain such a connection that within this state of unity there will be a clear answer for everyone. This is natural and true learning, like a child does. In this way we open ourselves; we develop and grow without frivolously repeating the words and opinions of someone like a mantra. Only in this way does a person grow. Despite the state of emergency and the missiles, we must go to every place where they can hear us, even in the shelters, and do everything that is required of us at this time.

Question: It’s obvious to everyone that we have reached a dead end and urgently need to take action. But it’s unclear exactly what kind of solution does Baal HaSulam offer, and what method do you propose to stop the system that launches rockets at us? Do you feel that military actions will not lead to anything?

Answer: I am not saying that we should not defend ourselves at all. We must react to attacks, but only in order to win some time, which would allow us to set out on the new path.

Question: Until a new wave of escalations begins?

Answer: If we start dealing with this problem correctly, the way our Torah directs us, then there will be no new wave. The Torah requires that we connect between ourselves. Currently we are now in the same situation like before Mount Sinai, and we must become like one man with one heart. If we unite, we will achieve success, and if not, it will be the place of our burial.

Comment: A lot of people in the Israeli society benefit from the schism in the nation. Everyone hates everyone: Some hate the Russians, others hate natives from Eastern countries, and yet others hate immigrants from Europe. This split is not disappearing, but only getting bigger. Lawyers take bribes, police is negligent of their duties, the entire system is deteriorating….

Answer: This is a clear sign that we urgently need to work on our correction since the root of the problem is specifically in us.

Comment: The Internet is filled with hostile attacks in our direction. We are surrounded by universal hatred and under rocket fire.

Answer: This is exactly the state that is most suitable for correction. Everything was revealed. It became clear that the entire system is broken, and we fail in all areas. We cannot build ourselves.

We are still being held together by the pressure that the hatred of our enemies exerts on us. But if it were not for the neighbors surrounding us from every direction with drawn swords, yearning to destroy us in our own country, we would have started killing each other.

We can only thank those who hate us for the fact that they are holding us together, like nuts in a bag. Otherwise we would have long dispersed, leaving no memory of the nation of Israel which is able to rise. We haven’t disappeared yet among seven billion people only thanks to the external hatred.

We are at the final point, a second before correction. And this correction will happen either through blows or through our reason that can help us take the process of correction into our own hands and to advance through the good path. We will either go by the path of Light and acceleration of time (Achishena) or by the path of suffering, the natural course of development (Beito).

The path of Light implies that we will begin to educate ourselves. There is no other possibility to reach correction but education of all. It is necessary to bring the method of correction to the entire nation and explain what it means to be the chosen people, why we are so hated, and what we need to do in order to really move forward and advance all of humanity.

Everyone has to discover what nature is demanding from us. The word “nature” has the same numerical value (Gematria) as the word “Creator.” It is the same exact force. Each person needs to discover the true Torah, which is given for our own correction through the help of the Light that Reforms.

Torah is the Light that Reforms, and our nature is the evil inclination, our egoism. It is written, “I created the evil inclination and the Torah as addition to it” since with its help we correct egoism. The Light in the Torah, meaning the force of love and bestowal, corrects us. This is why we need to learn how to correct ourselves and to pass this method to the entire world.

These are very simple, easy things. It is said that “the entire Torah is a very simple pursuit.” And it is truly so, if only a person does not confuse it with something else, but does only what is necessary. We must do it.

When you come to the people and start explainןמע this, you will see how readily everyone will agree, how much they will want to listen to you and to join you.

We are involved with a system of forces that is trying to reach balance and gives us interactive answers. Moreover, there is a single force that activates all of them. This is the power of balance. It influences and acts upon all the particular forces, on all the parts, to bring them to an inclusive balance, and this force is called the “Creator” or “nature.”

However, it is not revealed to us because then we would be united against our will. Suppose that the Creator were to visibly demand from us, “Unite, otherwise I will finish you off.” Certainly, we would listen to His voice from a lack of any other choice.

However, we would not have matured in this way, because our choice, “to be a good child,” would be left on the level of the beast and would be based on fear of punishment.

On the other hand, today, when we are punished, this still doesn’t oblige us to become “good children.” There is no clear connection between the two so that we ourselves would complete the deficiency through our understanding so that we would mature, attain, and reach the entire system of creation.

So parents, also, by punishing a child, don’t oblige him to comply immediately, for they want him to mature, to distinguish between good and evil, and understand how to act correctly by himself. This is so the small child who doesn’t understand will become a mature adult who will acquire intelligence through foolishness.

It is impossible just to hit him like a beast that is afraid of you and depends on you and so he does what you want. No, we don’t want the child to be so dependent upon us. We hope for him to have understanding, attainment, self-awareness, and the correct free choice.

So, there is no direct connection between troubles and conversely, the good deeds. Nature arranges everything so that we must fill  this interval between disasters and good deeds with the recognition of evil.

Question: How is all this connected?

Answer: The Kabbalists must teach the people of Israel how to act, and, when the people of Israel reach the level of understanding and feeling, they will begin to teach all of humanity. This is called “being a light to the nations.” After the inner correction, we will see to what degree they are ready for this in order to comprehend this from us.

Today, we have wisdom. We have the knowledge about what must be done and we are trying to go out to the people.

Question: Suppose that in a circle we attain closeness of our hearts. Will this prevent missiles from falling on us?

Answer: After an experience like this, people will understand and agree that it is possible to attain a better result through connection; they will advance. They will feel that the people of Israel truly possess a unique power with whose help it is possible to correct the world.

They need to come to a conclusion like this gradually—another workshop and another, as many as is required. Education is not acquired all at once, but, each time, little by little, they gradually begin to discover that this is so.

The main thing is that we will see how these actions themselves suddenly begin to change reality. It will become noticeable that through activities like these we make it possible for the Light to work within every human desire. Throughout the world, positive changes will happen. We will feel how everything will begin to relax and everyone will begin to relate to Israel differently.

Suddenly, it will become clear that the United Nations is no longer directed against us, and our enemies and haters suddenly will agree to peaceful measures.

There is no choice. Only Israel has free choice and operates independently in the world. Whether we want it or not, everything revolves around us. We cannot say that we are not guilty and that we don’t understand what they want from us. We belong to the people of Israel and so, we must bring the world to correction! The Kabbalists already wrote about this five thousand years ago.
