Question: The state of the world today arouses much concern: international terror, the uncontrolled growth of extremist terrorist groups like ISIS, the threat of the war of Gog and Magog that was described by the prophets. And in Israel a new intifada has arisen, the economy and the social situation are deteriorating. What can you say about this?

Answer: The situation doesn’t need to be explained. Even so, everyone feels and sees what is happening: intifadas, anti-Semitism, economic problems, the cost of living. These problems have become our daily reality and don’t come down from the daily agenda but only trade places; sometimes this problem pops up above all and sometimes another problem.

And it is necessary to understand that we, the people of Israel, create this picture in ourselves and its transformation from good to awesome depends only upon us.

From my point of view, the most important issue of our time is the growth of anti-Semitism in the world.

This is even more important than the economic problems and even the problems of security within Israel. But the Israelis don’t ascribe significance to anti-Semitism in the world and don’t pay attention to this.

Through closeness between us, among the people of Israel, we can change and transform the general situation throughout the world, even the relationships with the Arab neighbors that surround us and also with the Arab citizens within Israel. All of this depends on us and we can change the situation. The choice between the good way and the bad way is in our hands.

The ball is in our court; we are responsible for peace in the nation and peace in the world, for all the evil and all the good that is found in it. And we have nobody to blame because we ourselves measure the goodness or badness of our common destiny according to the degree of our unity or separation. And the standard is determined only by whether or not we can correspond to the general global nature.

Only we are ready to bring ourselves and after us the entirety of humanity to general harmony. So there is no need to hope that the changes will come from some other people or from UN resolutions. Everything depends only on us; we determine what decision they will get. This is because Israel is the head of humanity.

Understandably, each one can say that he doesn’t agree with this and doesn’t accept it. But together with this, he has no choice, and neither do we. If the world is in crisis, we are to blame; we brought it to this state.

The main thing is to understand the same principle: the solution to all problems is found in unity and connection, even in the struggle with the intifada and in the rise in prices. If we connect, then we can influence the forces of nature, balance our society, attain greater equality, and then lower prices. But this is beginning to be understood even if we aren’t making such a big circle and are not going in the way of the higher system.

It is simply necessary to imagine that if we connect, we will want to approach a bit, equalize with each other, and will succeed in finding a way to lower the prices. In other words, it is possible to conclude this from simple logical deduction.

If we use our method of discussions a circle, then thanks to this patent, this exercise, it is possible to bring people closer to one another; and then each one can give up a little to others and reduce the inequality a bit.

That is how we arouse the good force in society, melting every heart. The main thing is that a person must understand that connection and unity influence our lives and act for the good of our pocket, health, education, the education of our children, and everything else; and this comes from the wisdom of Kabbalah.

From the moment the wisdom of Kabbalah was revealed to a group of people called the Israeli nation, this nation became responsible for everything that happens to humanity and to all of nature in general.

Israel is responsible for every process in the general evolution and for the fact that all of nature should go through different, perfect phases in the course of advancing towards the ultimate goal.

If there is any distortion and this form is no longer perfect, it is Israel’s fault. They then must feel the stronger influence of the forces that evoke it, forcing it to wake up and bring all of humanity to a state of harmony once more..

This is the perspective from which we have to look at all problems, especially current problems and every event in the entire history of humanity. We should understand that all the intifadas and the anti-Semitism in the world stem from our delay and from our insufficient participation in the evolutionary process of the world. We should have started to pull everyone towards connection and unity a long time ago, starting with all of the Israeli nation and then all of humanity. We should have helped humanity become more connected and united and closer to the perfect ultimate form.

Question: Why do you think we are in a delay?

Answer: We can see it by the pressure that is put on the Israeli nation. The Israeli nation is a clear index. If there is an eruption of violence, it means that we are behind in our correction. We actually summon the imbalance of the positive and the negative forces that cannot reach a state of balance between them by our delay and our refusal to bring the system to a state of harmony at any given moment.

All of humanity is in the middle between these pluses and minuses, between the evil inclination and bestowal, the Creator, and the pressures that affect all of humanity and through it, the Israeli nation. It is actually Israel who has to bring all the others to the perfect form.

This is the reason that it hurts me so to see the eruption of terror, but we have to understand that we are the only ones to blame for what is happening. All the nations of the world only carry out the orders of nature’s forces. They have no freewill and they don’t determine anything. This is the reason that we cannot expect them to correct the situation.

It is fundamentally wrong to expect that the Americans or the Europeans will be able to bring peace to the world or that the Arabs will suddenly change by themselves. We have to think only about how we, Israel, take command and control of nature’s forces and arrange the connection within our own nation.

We are not required to establish connections with anyone, neither the Israeli Arabs, nor with our Arab neighbors or the UN. We don’t need to think about others in order to do our job. This work is done within the Israeli nation. But to the extent that we connect among us internally, the power of this wholeness, the unity, the connection and the love, will pour through us unto the whole world and all of humanity will suddenly begin to calm down and connect.

Then the whole world will come out of the global crisis it is in and all the disputes in the UN and all over the world will come to an end and everyone will quiet down, unite, and hug. It will be a wonderful good state, one great global commune, and it all depends on how the Israeli nation establishes the internal relations between its people.

The wisdom of Kabbalah reveals the plan of creation, the upper forces, to us. We discover that they are actually one unique force that operates on us, on all of reality, and which influences us in many different ways.

Thus humanity understands how it can affect its fate. It is impossible to change the actual process that leads us from the initial state to the ultimate state, but we can hasten it, understand it, and participate in it consciously with all our hearts and minds. Thus we are incorporated in it with all our feelings and sensations on different levels of our perception and our participation.

First, we can incorporate in it only by passively observing what is going on without really understanding. But later this incorporation becomes increasingly more active.

The ultimate state determines that all of humanity will achieve unity in perfect harmony by attaching to the whole world on the levels of the still, vegetative, the animate, and all the forces of nature that are revealed to us today and those that are yet to be revealed.

Therefore, we should see how we can connect and unite as much as we can among us and with the whole of nature, on the still, vegetative, and animate levels in the state we are in now on this level..

This means that we should worry about the unity of all of human society and about a healthy ecology and a healthy connection with the environment in order to bring us all to harmony and to good mutual connections.

Once we establish such a harmonious sphere, the very next moment this sphere will change its form and become an ellipse and we will have to correct it again and make it into a sphere, because a sphere is the perfect form for the total connection.

This sphere will become deformed over and over again and we have to constantly bring it back to the harmonious state. Keeping harmony in every state is the ideal way to advance by participating in the natural evolutionary process.

Question: What conclusions can we draw from this regarding our current state in order to prevent the eruption of terror on the part of the Arab citizens in Israel?

Answer: I approach the problem globally. It may be an intifada, different types of anti-Semitism, wars, natural disasters, typhoons, or tsunamis. If we discover a phenomenon that disrupts the perfect harmony at any given moment, it is a sign that we are not keeping nature in the correct state.

It is our duty to keep it in a state of harmony. The wisdom of Kabbalah tells us that it depends on the Israeli nation, on the group that Abraham founded. Of all of humanity, he chose those who can influence the right form of humanity and each time, bring it to a state of harmony..

It turns out that one small part of humanity called Israel, which stands for Li Rosh (my head), determines how all the other nations will behave and to what extent they will connect into one round sphere.

Abraham gathered these special people and founded a group and passed on the method to them, the knowledge, and the reins to lead humanity. Since then, the whole evolutionary process depends on the Israeli nation. New people can join it if they feel that they belong to this process and to this idea and this is how the evolutionary process of the world goes on.

By studying the long periods of the Jews in the Diaspora and the exile of two thousand years, we can say that same phenomenon recurs over and over again.

Whenever they came into a new country, the Jewish people looked for shelter and a place where they could dwell and survive, and they could survive only by strongly uniting among them. Therefore, having no choice, we became closer when we were in exile, and the correct mutual relations were formed between us, not because we wanted it, but because we forced to do so.

Our positive attitude towards one another affected those around us. We brought science and culture to the people in the country where we lived and that country began to prosper.

But the moment we got used to a certain place, the ego grew between us, as did competition, and we became alienated from one another. These negative relations were reflected in the people that surrounded us and thus summoned in them hatred and accusations against us. As a result, we were expelled from that country and the country would deteriorate.

The internal state of the Jewish people was always conveyed to people they lived among and brought them either prosperity or recession.

Therefore, if we begin to get closer to one another today and establish the right mutual relations between us, we will summon a positive attitude on the part of the nations that surround us on every continent.

After the horrible holocaust of the European Jews, we all believed that it would never happen again, because in a modern, communicative, and open world there is a place for every nation including our nation. But we see how this threatening trend reappears: global anti-Semitism.

This phenomenon is poorly understood in our enlightened generation when everyone has free access to every university and everyone can engage in whatever they wish to: business, science, technology, and culture. But it is actually the intellectual, developed representatives in every nation, scientists and people of culture, who are the greatest anti-Semites.

A new wave of hatred of the Jewish people is starting again from inside nature, from the depth of the generations, and it is of an irrational nature. What is more, this wave is so big and so powerful, so wide and comprehensive, that it is impossible to hide it anymore. It keeps on growing from day to day.

It will undoubtedly keep on developing. The only method to correct this situation is the same means that Abraham discovered in his times: the unity between us.

The Jewish people have to feel that they are one. The moment we begin to move towards unity, we will affect all the nations that surround us. They will suddenly feel the need to unite as well, and will begin to unite automatically and follow us like a shadow. We will immediately see a change in their attitude towards us.

It is because there is a reason for the anti-Semites’ belief that we control and manage the world and that all the problems in the world are only because of us. Moreover, they also feel that they depend on us, which is actually true.

Today there is no other way to prevent the tragic course of events except by uniting. Anti-Semitism will flood the streets and we will not be able to hide from it as has already happened in our history.

We have to act only according to the method that nature has prepared for us. It is only by the unity among us that we will find peace and, at the same time, bring to the world the force of goodness, which it needs so in this state of global crisis.

Question: All countries are mainly blaming Israel for its attitude toward the Palestinians. In the last years, all anti-Semitism concentrates around this subject. So what can be the answer to all these accusations?

Answer: The Palestinians are only the exterior reason for anti-Semitism. In the past years, the reasons change, but the hatred towards the Jewish nation remains and even widens. But in order to justify it, different reasons are found.

Therefore, on all the claims of the anti-Semites I simply answer, that they are definitely right! That I agree with them and am willing to repeat all of it, word by word.

Question: Is it possible that first of all we should change our policy toward the Palestinians?

Answer: It will not change anything. We are already doing for them everything possible. But is anyone paying attention to it?

Comment: The Palestinians are blaming us that we conquered their land?

Answer: Do you think that they will calm down after we would return their land? Until we will not disappear from the area, they will not leave us. Never! And also if you will want to leave, don’t think that you will find anyplace in the big world.

Question: So what, we simply have to ignore their demands?

Answer: We simply need to know the laws of the world and work according to these laws. The law in the world says, that we must bring the Reforming Light to the world, the world has already arrived at the state of the “days of the Messiah,” and we need to transfer to them the Light that will pull them to the Creator.

Question: But the whole world has claims against the state of Israel.

Answer: Actually, the world demands that we will realize the role that was given to us. And if we supply them with the corporeal demands, we will not satisfy anyone. Maybe only if all the people would leave the territories, the Palestinians would be satisfied.  But this is impossible, because the disappearing of the nation of Israel is against the plan of creation.

This hatred will not disappear; we will not be able to arrange anything if we will not perform our mission. We see that it is impossible to come to compromise with the Arabs through concessions. Once Israel gave them approval to return from Libya to an area of Palestinian autonomy, gave them an additional area, and another one. But nothing helps, because all the concessions do not bring us close to peace and do not improve our situation on this land.

Only one thing can help—to tell the whole world the truth, to explain that we returned to our land in order to bring Light to all the nations. We have no right to be here, because in the meantime, this place is not called “the land of Israel.” And also the people that live here are not considered, in the meantime, the nation of Israel, but rather, a “collection of the exiles.”

The nation of Israel and the land of Israel are spiritual concepts. In a genetic aspect, the nation of Israel does not exist in nature. Otherwise, how is it possible to explain that every Frenchmen can willingly convert and become a Jew, (Yechudi from the word “Yichud” – Unity), to be Israel, which means to be Yasher El, directed straight to the Creator. And this will not be a lie, or forgery, but it is truly like that, because “Israel,” “the nation of Israel,” and the “land of Israel” are spiritual concepts. But, as of today, the people of Israel do not fit this concept; therefore, Baal HaSulam writes that we received an opportunity to return to the land of Israel as before.

Therefore, the Palestinians are right, this land and this place do not belong to us. But we purposely came here in order to establish a nation of Israel in the land of Israel. Because only in this form can we bring Light to the world. This is exactly what the Palestinians and the rest of the nation demand from us. And we can provide this Light only while we live here, while we live here in Israel and not somewhere else.

Precisely for this reason we are here! Therefore we request everyone to take time out in order to finish this work. We will attract the Reforming Light and everyone will feel better. The world will rise to a state of adhesion with the Creator, and He will be revealed.

We have to explain all that, and then we will see how it acts on the people.

Question: It seems that the main thing is to attract the Light, and it is possible to continue to keep the territories and build settlements on it?

Answer: There will be no territories and no settlers, because this place will belong to everyone. And you will see that the Arabs will let us do everything we want in the territories because we will provide them the Light of life, the fulfillment.

It is written that in the end of days the nations of the world will carry the nation of Israel on their shoulders and will bring them to Jerusalem. They will bring us directly to the Temple Mount and will say: “Take everything!”

Question: Always during the heyday of countries, it was also better and freer for Jews. They weren’t loved, but they weren’t hated after World War II. And then later the world slipped into a general crisis. Why is it that when it is bad in the world, then it is even worse for the Jews?

Answer: The Jews are the only group (the power) in the world that can influence the state of the world. This is so because on one hand, they are connected to the Creator and on the other hand, they are connected to the nations of the world. This means that they are between the whole of humanity and the Creator. And it depends on their behavior whether the Upper Light, the power of vitality, will arrive through them to the nations of the world.

The Jews are part of the transition, “Maavar” in Hebrew; from here comes the word “Jew.” From all of humanity, only this nation has the freedom to influence the way the world advances, through suffering or happiness, toward the final goal, the attainment of equivalence or adherence with the Creator.

How can the world relate to the Jews if they make the world so cruel? And the nations of the world rightly blame the Jews for this, that the Jews by their inactivity, invite the revelation of bad forces instead of good forces. The nations of the world say directly that all the suffering in the world is caused only by the Jews. By this they declare their dependence on the Jews, their weakness to influence their own destiny.

How would you treat these people who you understood have a hand in determining your destiny, i.e., your destiny depends on them, even unintentionally, but simply through their existence they turned your life into misery?

Question: How could a sense of discrimination, disadvantage, which nations experience in connection with the Jews, be dealt with?

Answer: If we, the Jewish people, begin to unite for the benefit of the world, none of them will feel slighted.

It is said in the Prophets that the nations of the world would carry the sons of Israel on their shoulders and take them to the Temple, i.e., to the ideal state. How can we understand this? Are we going to sit proudly on someone’s shoulders?

Of course not. We are talking about a special partnership. The essence is that only they are able to give us strength, and we have to give them a purpose. We ourselves, in terms of the wisdom of Kabbalah, are a vessel of bestowal, Galgalta ve Eynaim, and are lacking strength. The people of Israel are small and weak. However, it has the idea, message, vision of the goal, in other words, the properties of the head, the force of the discerning mind, but not the implementation. To implement the body: arms, legs, muscles, etc. are required.

This is the “division of labor” between the people of Israel and the nations of the world. These two parts cannot function without each other, and the head really should be on the shoulders. Receiving commands from the head, the body goes towards the correct goal, to the Temple, and carries the head.

Thus, there are no “white-collar” and “laborers,” but there is one whole, two parts, working together, each in its place. As we know, in the integral system, in a single body with interconnected pieces, all the cells are equally important, no matter where they are located.

After all, perfection cannot be flawed one iota, and thus, any piece, any fragment, plays a crucial role; and the final result is shown only in community, rather than individually.

Only during the correction, the elements vary according to the importance with respect to the current moment; however, having completed an integral system, everyone becomes equal. Thus, no one feels slighted.

We can bring an example of several of our friends from different countries, who once were members of anti-Semitic organizations, but now adhere to us.

In other words, everything depends on us. In all the claims and slanders, the same message is “hidden:” “The Jewish people are guilty of what is happening!” In fact, they urge us to restore order.

This is the way their collective force from the level of integral perfection makes them act, so that they pressure us from all sides, all the way to the end. There is nothing superfluous; everything is calculated within the system. And if we properly respond to the attacks, then, first of all, we will immediately turn accusers into helpers.

For example, no matter how ardent an anti-Semite Henry Ford was, at the same time, he wrote that Israel had to lead the world towards perfection. He was aware of the potential inherent in us. The greatest anti-Semites understood our purpose, which we are not really conscious of.

Once we get to work, with all our heart strive for perfection in order to give it to the nations of the world, their attitude will change. Moreover, precisely their perfection will bring the general system to the final correction.

Therefore, we will immediately feel their support. Suddenly, it will turn out that they are dedicated to us with their heart and soul, to the extent that we ourselves are not able to. In fact, it is the “head,” the mind, that prevents us, which constantly identifies and clarifies new paths for the system. On the contrary, they will cling to us strongly, based on “feeling.”

It turns out that the real work we need to do is not among Israeli Arabs, but in our own environment.

Question: We have a problem in phrasing the role of the Israeli nation correctly. It says that we should be “light unto the nations,” but what does that mean?

Answer: “Light unto the nations” doesn’t refer to scientific achievements. Baal HaSulam says that in that sense we are the students of the nations, they developed science and we have only joined in the process.

This isn’t what is expected of us. Has anyone ever thanked us for our Nobel Prizes or for our scientific discoveries? No one will thank us or really appreciate it, but will only attribute malicious intentions to us. The nations of the world don’t appreciate anything that we have contributed to humanity, except for the Light that Reforms. They don’t relate to anything but it.

You want recognition: “Look at what we have given the world, what medicines we have developed or what technologies we have invented…” “So what? Very nice. We will come to your hospitals for treatment.” They don’t respond internally to the fact that we seem to be doing them a favor, helping and caring for them. We even treat our enemies, but no one feels that he owes us anything. We expect a positive attitude in return, but the nations don’t feel any need for it.

It isn’t because they are ungrateful. The point is that we have to give them something that is totally different. In everything else that we give them it is as if we are repaying a debt instead of actually giving them something.

We can lower taxes to the Arab sector, or buy off our “cousins” in different bonuses and pave all of East Jerusalem with gold, but it wouldn’t be gifts for them. This is the mistake the government is making, thinking that this is how we will enlists the support of the Arabs. It is wrong.

The Arabs demand from us something that is totally different, and they don’t need anything but it. This is how a person feels according to the root of his soul: He has to receive the Light that Reforms from us, and we, on the other hand, turn off the tap and suffocate him.

For everything else, for their good life in the raging Middle East, they will never thank us. I repeat, we cannot blame them for being ungrateful. Our gifts are simply not what we really should give them. They receive it as something that we owe them as if repaying a debt.

We have to really clarify this matter. Many have offered to give them more, so that they would appreciate the benefits in the connection with us…no way!! Unless we give them the Light that Reforms their attitude towards us will not change at all.

The same goes for the whole world. It makes no difference what excuses we have and what we say about our contribution, the world doesn’t need it. People don’t see it as a good thing at all. We have to provide the world with something that is totally different and so we have to worry about that and do it: give the world the Light that Reforms.

When I read the papers and see the general approach of our domestic policy, I see that it is totally distorted from the top down. It is all a lie and people don’t understand what is going on.

Don’t give the Arabs anything but the Light that Reforms and you will see the results. Then they will not deceive or cheat us and will not play a dirty game. It is because we will oblige them by the Light, and there will be nothing to fear anymore. Give them the Light and they are yours, not only as “cousins” but as actual brothers. Open the borders, bring down the barriers, feel free, and you will see how they look up to you. But we are doing the exact opposite…

Baal HaSulam writes about this in the “The Last Generation“: Jews should present before the gentiles a novelty in the wisdom of religion, in justice and in peace. In that most gentiles are our disciples and this wisdom is attributed to us alone.

Question: A wave of terrorist attacks by Israeli Arabs has hit Israel in the last couple of weeks. This is very worrisome and seems to be getting worse and may reach the proportions of a third intifada. Very few people understand the reason for this sudden outburst of violence.

Some people think that the reason is rumors about changes in the status quo with the regard to the Temple Mount. Others believe that it is another expression of the rise of fundamentalism and the upsurge of Muslim terrorists in the world that affect the Israeli Arabs.

There are different explanations, but the main point is that people don’t know what to do in this terrible, horrifying reality. It is as if we are in a rerun of a movie that keeps taking us back over and over again to such terrible days.

The most shocking thing is that these terrorist attacks are not against soldiers, but against innocent civilians, women and children. We are forced to live in constant fear. The threat is not external but from inside our very home, from Arabs who are Israeli citizens, who are our neighbors in the same neighborhood or region.

Some people say that this is a temporary wave and that it will soon end and things will quiet down as we have already seen many times before. Others however, think that this is only the beginning of a much greater uprising among the Arab population. How do you see what is going on from your understanding of the inner system?

Answer: I look at what is going on from a totally different angle. There are no coincidences or sudden unexpected events in the whole evolutionary process. Everything is predetermined and the final action begins with a thought.

First there is a thought and a final picture. This determines both the most initial state and the whole process. It brings the still, vegetative, animate, and human to its ultimate form, which the Creator, nature, and desires have foreseen it from the beginning.

This is part of every creature’s evolutionary process, although the whole world goes through a long process of evolution that isn’t over yet and continues with all the creatures obeying rigid rules that cannot be affected or changed.

Every state is predetermined, but we have the right to ask why it is so, where it stems from, where it is taking us, and to what ultimate form. We can study and understand it, but the question is whether we can change anything about it.

First, we have to acknowledge the fact that we are in a system that obeys clear rules. Our lack of knowledge and understanding doesn’t mean that we are free of keeping them. Studies show that there is an internal force in everything that moves the still, vegetative, animate, and human levels from one state to another with the world developing as a result.

We are in the middle of a historical process that leads us from an initial state of absolute chaos that was predestined, called the shattering, to an opposite state of a perfect reality. Chaos is negative wholeness, which means that it contradicts wholeness in different ways on all the levels and in all the attributes, while wholeness symbolizes harmony between all the parts of the system on all the levels and in every form of connection.

As this process continues, there are different periods of development and there are forces of the still, vegetative, animate, and then the speaking levels. This whole evolution has been going on for billions of years. The still matter has evolved over 14 billion years; the vegetative world for about two billion years, the animate world for half a billion years, and humanity for about 2,000 years.

Humanity goes through special important periods in its evolution that are connected to the development of human beings who go through a qualitative leap. Externally, a person can remain almost the same, perhaps a bit taller or shorter, fatter or thinner, but it is mainly about the human and social evolution.

First humanity evolved unknowingly in a long historical process. This went on until one special day 5,775 years ago when one of the people in our world discovered the plan of creation, the process of evolution, its initial and final states, and everything that would happen between them along a timeline.

That person was called Adam and it isn’t by chance that he received this name. We already know that there are no coincidences in the world and that everything is governed by the laws of nature. His parents called him Adam and didn’t even know that it means that he resembled the Creator (Domeh – with the same root in Hebrew).

Adam discovered the laws of nature and evolution, and passed this information on to us through his students. Since that time, humanity received certain knowledge as to what is happening to it and the world surrounding it and about the forces that operate within it and influence our world.

We can manage in this world on the animate level. We are better at it than animals because we have a mind and feelings that are more developed. Although we are weak and gentle, this vulnerability allows us to be more sensitive and to better adapt to the environment and change accordingly.

As a result, our weakness becomes an advantage and is in our favor and a person develops that way and acquires greater control of nature. We can protect ourselves, build houses, sew clothes, etc. which means that a developed mind and sensitivity allow us to protect ourselves from nature’s caprices exactly where we are weak compared to animals.

In the generations that followed Abraham, his students developed this wisdom even more. They didn’t develop it by their rational thinking like abstract philosophy, but on the basis of their experience. Adam gave them the tools to study the inner mechanism of nature, which sets each of us in motion separately and all together and leads us towards a certain goal. Our next form already exists in the plan of creation and we have to attain it.

This whole process is revealed to humanity so that we will be able to be incorporated in it and even participate in this plan, making this process easy and pleasant. If we go through it willingly, we will enjoy it. If I want to develop and help myself do so, it is an enjoyable, desirable, pleasant process that is blessed.

It is a great advantage that provides us with the wisdom that Adam discovered, this is called the wisdom of Kabbalah.
