The Book of #Zohar is extremely important. It contains a force capable of leading us out of exile—a difficult, oppressive state, to a safe, favorable, good one.
If we use The Book of #Zohar, through it we will draw light that will correct us, unify us, and reveal in us the upper force, which is good and does good.

#LagBaomer is a day of Light when we rejoice about the Torah of Light’s revelation in the nation of Israel
Lag B’Omer is the remembrance day of the great Kabbalist, RASHBI, who founded a group of 10 Kabbalists that attained the highest spiritual degree and wrote The Book of Zohar.

While in #Monterrey, I was interviewed by Mexico’s biggest print and online publication, @elnorte about the revelation of the wisdom of Kabbalah in our days. (Full page)

The Impact Of Kabbalistic Texts

laitman_209Question: What is the goal of studying the science of Kabbalah?

Answer: Baal HaSulam gives a precise Kabbalistic definition of the goal of Kabbalah: the revelation of the Creator to a person in our world.

The purpose of each lesson depends on the material being studied. The material itself attunes a person to come closer to the revelation of the Creator, to aim one to achieve the goal. As a musical instrument is tuned before a performance, a person similarly needs to attune himself to attain the Creator.

Question: Does it depend more on a person or on what is said in this or that book? Are there miraculous forces in Kabbalistic books?

Answer: There is a miraculous power not in the books themselves, between the rows or between the letters, but in the influence of the text on a person.

The fact is that the Kabbalists who wrote books expressed their inner attainments. We are talking about people who were feeling the upper world and the Creator; everything they expressed on paper is connected with their spiritual attainment. Therefore, when we read their texts, they affect us, whether we like it or not. More precisely, the influence of light descends on us and gradually changes us.

Remark: When I read some dramatic story, it also affects me. I can cry or laugh.

My Comment: Correct, but it influences you purely psychologically. Here you can read without understanding anything, but the text nonetheless influences you and gradually you start to feel that something is happening in you.

You feel that in this text and in you some internal forces exist, internal undercurrents that pull you somewhere, configure your thoughts and feelings in a special way. You suddenly become slightly different, maybe more versatile, more purposeful. It is in exactly this way that the influence of Kabbalistic sources manifests on a person.

With Joy

laitman_280.01It is written in The Book of Zohar, “VaYechi” 116-117: “Divinity is present only in a whole place, and not in a deficient place or a flawed place or a place of sadness, but in a proper place—a place of joy.”

“Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with singing.” There is no service of the Creator unless out of joy.”

We need to carefully remember these words. A sad person cannot reveal the Creator, cannot connect with friends. It is impossible. Only in joy can one achieve connection and unification.

Everything that leads to unity and filling with light in itself causes joy. It is also necessary to approach it in gladness. After all, “Joy is a reflection of good deeds,” the connection into which the light comes and fills it.

In everyday life it happens the same way; when we meet someone we love, we do not cry and mourn. Only if we hate and cannot stand something do we grieve and suffer. Therefore, checking the correctness of our actions is very simple: is there joy in us?

Of course, this is not the only criterion, because you can commit a crime and viciously rejoice. Joy, however, is a necessary sign of proper spiritual work. If I am joyful, it means that I have already fulfilled one of the conditions for finding the right path.

Good deeds cause joy even when you do not expect it. If I have helped a created being to advance in correction, then there must be joy. As with the friction of two objects heat invariably arises, so is the correct action, correcting the creation, always accompanied by joy. This is a mandatory consequence.

Therefore, it is necessary to start the action of correction with joy, and then check whether it really contributed to correction by whether it caused joy. That is, joy should be both at the entrance and at the exit.

The same check is valid for a group, a ten. We always need to check whether working with friends makes us happy. It is written that “the Torah brings joy.” If we act toward correction, then we must be happy. Joy will radiate from our good deeds.

It is necessary to try to constantly maintain such an inner joy from being in a good world where only the power of the Creator, the good and the Creator of good, rules. The Creator wants all creatures to be joyful and happy, and all the flaws are the result of our laziness, unwillingness to do our work. But in reality, the world should be full of joy, warmth, and love.

New Life 61 – Dissemination Of The Wisdom Of Kabbalah

New Life 61 – Dissemination Of The Wisdom Of Kabbalah
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Today, in this critical time of existential threat to humanity, the wisdom of Kabbalah and its dissemination will help. Balance can be achieved if we work to change the way we relate to one another in economics, education, health, and security. We must appeal to people’s desires in relation to money, food, and family life. We can eliminate the threats we face on the condition that we will learn to “love your friend as yourself,” be at peace with one another, and complement the higher power.
