Light Guides Us To Recovery

938.03The feeling of your insignificance is a great and honorable feeling because a person bows his head before a higher power. And of course it is important for what purpose and by what means he does it.

On the other hand, it is written: “And his heart was high in the ways of the Lord.” That is, it seems one should be proud, increase one’s desires, opportunities, and the means to advance. How do these two directions fit together?

In fact, both of them guide us toward the same goal. There is not a single property in a person that would contradict the achievement of the goal. After all, we proceed from a perfect state, from merging with the Creator, where we were at the very first point of creation.

The Creator gave birth to us as a black point immersed in the infinite upper light. And from this point we began to develop due to the fact that the light entered this dark point opposite to the light, “created from nothing.”

All the properties inherent in us were formed from the collision between light and egoistic desire. And therefore, in all reality there is nothing but this opposition between egoism and bestowal, light and darkness, the properties of the Creator and the properties of creation.

Therefore we only need to correct our attitude to this and return to the previous state. And for this we figure out our fragmentation, the opposite of light, and feel distant and confused. But at the same time, we have all the data to collect this, like a child’s game of assembling a Lego set, and to put each part in its place.

And in addition, we have an upper force that influences us and all the Kabbalists of the past around us who help us, with what else we will reveal. And inside this circle is our world group Bnei Baruch, and inside it are our little tens. And all this is inside a system that works, heals, and restores itself.

In The Zero Point Of Reality

934The friends should see that I am working on lowering my egoism. Everyone tries to be in the center of the ten and at the same time feels that the others are making space for him there. This way we will feel that we are all in one place, and there is enough space for everyone. It is very important to come to such a feeling by making efforts both in thought and in action.

I try to become included into the point of connection in order to pull all my friends to it for all of us to be there. There is no place in spirituality; we can all fit into one point. This means that ten points are arranged into one Partzuf from Keter to Malchut and stand on one point, which is called the center of reality.

As described in the poem of the ARI, before the emanations were emanated and the creatures were created, there was only a simple, infinite light filling all of reality. Then a central black point appeared inside this reality, in which the light restricted itself and started the entire creation with it.

I try to see my ten inside this black point where we all stand. The upper light influences us from the outside through the Sefirot of circles, and from this inner point we want to influence the upper light.

We cannot freely influence it in all directions. We have only one possibility: to the extent that we restrict ourselves, we can then open ourselves to bestowal. The restriction occurs in all directions around us, in 360 degrees, and the opening for contact with the upper light can be only 1% or one degree of sector of the circle.

There is no place in spirituality. We need to connect with each other in such a way that no one takes up space and we all come to the zero point, meaning we are at the point that the Creator created, in the point of darkness in the middle of the light. This is our center, from which we then develop to the extent of our equivalence to the light, and then the light fills the entire Kli that we develop within this circle.

How did we all manage to fit into one point? None of us take up any space. I want there to be no space for my own importance, my egoism, my pride, and my opinion. Otherwise I will be corporeal and not spiritual.

If I do not perform any action in my egoism, then I am in the center of the circle, in the center of the ten. I do not want to receive anything for my will to receive except the necessary existence in order to build a relationship with the Creator through my relationship with others. Others are those who fill these circles, and the Creator influences us and fills us.

The one who annuls himself before the friends is in the center of the ten. If we all annul ourselves, then we are all in one place. In the spiritual world, place is called a desire. If we annul all our desires, then we find ourselves in the zero desire, in the place of zero—this is the center of the ten, the center of the circle.

947Question: The number of social connections each of us needs is 10 to 20 people, i.e., the nearest circle. And then to the degree of distance, it increases to 150. So as man develops, will there even be such physiological changes?

Answer: Yes. It can happen because we are social beings and must feel  as a part of society. Otherwise we will completely slide down to the level of animals.

Existence in society, in a city, surrounded by others similar to us, in interaction with them shapes a person, although not above the level of the corporeal world, which in general degrades, that is, does not allow him to develop as needed. It turns out that while developing we limit ourselves, and this we see in our lives.

Therefore, we must try to rise to a higher level. But all this is determined by our correct interaction with each other. Therefore, regardless of whether I have 150 friends on social networks or somewhere else, more or less, I need first of all to perform my duties in the 10, and then through it connect to an ever wider circle of people, society, forces of nature, and so on. But all this is inside those 10 spiritual partners of mine with whom I develop.

Question: That is, this is a new level of communication through the 10 to an increasing number of people?

Answer: Yes. This is how everything works in nature.

The Enduring Cloth Of Connection

938.05We are building such a connection in the group that will serve as a boat carrying us toward the goal. This is why we need to see to it that we have the right connection. The speed of progress, that is, the power of our engine depends on our continuous work on our unity in order to establish the connection between us more correctly.

Kabbalists compare it to a loom in which horizontal and vertical threads are intertwined, each passing alternately from below, then from above, and they connect into a single piece of cloth. In the same way, we must combine our mutual efforts to connect, starting this work anew at every moment and advancing through this process.

The main thing is that this work should be general with common agreement and understanding, and everyone should do their part and complement others like the vertical and horizontal threads in a loom that adjust to each other, or like wine crushers, who together vigorously crush grapes with their feet in one vat.

The Staff In The Hand Of Moses

935The connection in the group is the hand of Moses holding the staff. If we want to move forward, then with our connection we create the image of Moses walking ahead of us. Moses is able to guide us because although he was born from a Jewish father and mother (Yehudi), striving for unity (Yehud), searching for the Creator, he grew up in the house of Pharaoh.

Although his point belongs to Bina, he was brought up in Malchut by the king of Egypt. Therefore, Moses has both of these qualities and when he grew up, he was able to lead those who wanted to leave Egypt and lead them out.

Everyone in the group is obliged to awaken the qualities of Moses, which are at the head of all other human qualities, and lead him to connection in the ten. With this connection we build a common image of Moses for all of us, pulling (Moshe) us out from here to the goal of creation, to the end of correction, to adhesion with the Creator. Otherwise, we will not be able to get out of our nature, out of Egypt.

In the staff, two forms of use must be distinguished. When the staff is thrown to the ground, it turns into a snake, and when it is picked up, it becomes a staff leading us to success. Everything depends on the person; there is no holiness in the staff itself. It simply symbolizes the attitude of a person to life, dedication to the group, and to the goal.

And therefore, if we raise the importance of the group and the goal, all the means that lead us to merge with the Creator above ourselves, our own animal egoism, turn into a staff. The staff itself does not exist. We must mold it inside us so that the form of our approach to the connection between us and the purpose of life will be called the staff.

Against The Headwind

41.01The Creator never punishes us but always only advances us. We, however, consider it punishment. And He can advance us only due to the fact that the desire to receive pleasure grows in us more and more, and therefore we find ourselves in ever greater egoism and distance from the Creator, in an ever worse and opposite state to the Creator.

We cry because of our inability to get what we want or our inability to give, and so we pull ourselves out. Because of all this tossing, we begin to see how the Creator controls us in a purposeful way although He does not lead us along the shortest path to the goal. After all, we are not able to move directly to the opposite property. How can I move toward something that is disgusting, hateful, and frightening to me? And how can I go to such a repulsive goal that I certainly do not want? I am obviously not able to go directly to it, and that is the whole problem.

On one hand, I am in my egoism, the desire to enjoy. On the other hand, there is the Creator, the desire to bestow. And I am not even able to make a slightest move in the direction of the Creator, just as a sailboat cannot sail against the wind but must maneuver, that is, zigzag.

It is impossible to shift directly to bestowal, but we can at least approach it, act a little for the sake of reception, a little for the sake of bestowal, and thus achieve the goal. Therefore, until we reach the goal itself, we are not sure that we are going toward it in the right way. After all, our direction is never right!

It always deviates one way or the other and raises questions. And at the very last stage until the very last moment before entering and merging with the Creator, we do not know that it will happen. We do not know what lies ahead, but the gates suddenly open and we enter.

This is our job: to believe that we are progressing correctly according to external signs. We cannot swim directly to the goal, that is, with intention for the sake of bestowal toward the Creator. This is impossible because it is opposite to our nature. Our nature is one big minus and the Creator is one big plus.

Therefore, we can only maneuver, act in the form of bestowal for the sake of bestowal, and then receive for the sake of bestowal but only partially, step by step—zero, first, second, third, fourth, and receive more and more filling—Nefesh, Ruach, Chaya, Neshama, Yechida, layer by layer.

And of course, I cannot advance alone. The whole advancement goes only through the center of the ten in connection with the friends. And we forget it all the time, we get lost, and we are forced to start as if from the beginning.

I cannot directly attack the desire to bestow. I have no such attributes. But if I add my desire to receive pleasure to the properties of the friends in whom the Creator shines, then I can walk correctly directed to the goal, against my egoism. I cancel my desire to receive pleasure and unite with my friends as tightly as possible, and then all my efforts are illuminated by the reflected light (the surrounding light) and allow me to move in a roundabout way.

There is only one way to rise above my nature—annul myself in front of my friends. By this, I awaken upon myself a higher influence, the upper light, which slightly turns me away from my egoism and allows me to advance.

The Creator shines inside the ten because He sees it at the end of correction. And if I want to move from point 1 to point 2, then the Creator already sees us at point 2. And if I am ready to annul myself in front of the conditions set by Him that He reveals in ten and affects me through the ten, then I attract from above, from the source, the reflected light, and I move forward. In this way, I attract the forces of the higher nature so that they change my nature.

How Can I Overcome Any State?

530How can I overcome any state I am given? If I check it against my friends, I will realize that I can work in any state. You must check yourself from both sides, from below and from above: on one hand to feel lower than all the friends and at the same time to be an active member of the group and invest in it.

This means that at the same time I am in the lowest and in the highest state and then I correctly establish myself relative to the ten. We always check ourselves relative to the spiritual Partzuf that we are building.

I annul myself relative to the center of the ten. The ten is my boat, the ten Sefirot, the group. There is no individual in it, only our common connection that the Creator wants us to achieve on His terms.

He is creating inner conditions in each of us, egoism and inner qualities, in order for me to discover all the qualities that I have and with all this baggage I join my friends and create one circle, sphere, boat, spiritual vessel.

Everyone’s job is to unite all comrades into one vessel, filling them with their own properties, and to feel that this depends on him.

Everyone’s job is to connect all the friends into one vessel to fill them with their qualities, and to feel that everything depends on him. Instead of Malchut, the lowest Sefira of all, I can be Keter, the highest Sefira. This is how I check myself and the ten and work with my friends.

Of course, all this is not done by me but by the upper light. As I annul myself before the Creator and do what He wants from me, I reveal how He does everything and how I, by clinging to Him, understand more and more what is happening to me.

Ten In One Boat

934What can be considered an action of bestowal in regard to the ten? It is when I take care that the entire ten is healthy in both corporeality and spiritually and that we are united.

The ten is like a boat that I am protecting so that it does not sink, but rather crosses this raging sea and reaches the shore. Only then will we understand why the Creator took us through this storm.

In the meantime we all need to take care of our little boat because otherwise we will not survive. I cannot throw myself into the sea of egoism, the Sitra Achra, and swim across it. I need a boat and I need mutual guarantee (Arvut) from which the sides of our boat are assembled.

This is the only way we can cross this sea, it is when everyone takes care of the sides of the boat and tries to move together. Due to the fact that we are constantly making efforts to strengthen the connection between us in every possible way, to connect more and more, and to hold each other even tighter, we advance further and further until we reach the goal.

If we do not do that, we will not achieve anything. We will still advance a little because we are making some efforts, but this is not enough.

Therefore, instead of making egoistic requests to the Creator and complaining that He threw us into the raging sea, we must understand that there is no way out and act like Rabbi Akiva who held onto a log and lowered his head before each wave so that it rolled above him, and thus he reached the shore. Are you ready for the same devotion in order to reach the goal?

Conditions For Revelation Of The Creator

528.01We exist for the correct implementation of the connections between us, the correction of the soul, and the revelation of the Creator in it. In order to love your neighbor and reveal the Creator in the ten, it is necessary to fulfill all the conditions of the connection of the friends with each other, to reveal the greatness of the Creator, to give an example to the friends of how I can annul myself before them, how I am ready to do anything just to serve them and support the group.

A necessary condition in the ten is to reach mutual guarantee, when everyone annuls himself before the others. At the same time, all together we gradually form a prayer to the Creator so that He will help everyone receive the quality of love for other friends.

Thus, the feeling of the Creator will arise within us as within a correct ten, which will increase all the time until we come to an absolutely complete correction of egoism.

Love Your Neighbor: The General Law Of The Universe

934Initially the Creator gave the orientation for the creation to become similar to Him, to reach the highest level: equivalence of form with the Creator. Then it adheres to Him, that is, it ascends to the highest degree of nature.

This is achieved by connecting the creation. Previously, the creation was shattered into 600,000 parts and many sub-parts. All of them must connect with each other into one single soul. This connection is called the implementation of the law of “love your neighbor as yourself.”

All other laws of nature represent the implementation of the same law of love your neighbor, only on a more personal, lower level. Therefore the entirety of nature is given to us only in order to bring it to absolute unity.

What does love your neighbor as yourself mean? It means that a person exits himself and accepts his neighbor as someone much higher than himself, like the Creator, without any distinction between them, when the act of exiting himself becomes absolutely altruistic, without pursuing any personal goals.

When we think about the realization of the plan of creation, we must understand that this can be realized only by correcting egoistic desires to become altruistic. To do this we must create a group of 10 people who will later achieve their system as 10 Sefirot connected into one Partzuf, into one Kli (vessel) of the soul.

This is working on yourself in three lines, when the left line is ever-growing egoism, the right line is the screen above it, i.e., the intention to bestow, and the middle line is the correct use of the left and right lines.

The main driving force of all corrections is the love of friends. Our great teacher Baruch Ashlag (Rabash) writes a lot about this. Therefore if we are talking about the law of love your neighbor, then first of all it is implemented in the 10 between the friends.
