Question: We waste a lot of time rehearsing for an appearance before vacationers. Does the time of preparation have to be some kind of balance between adaptation of artistic proficiency and our internal unity?

Answer: I suppose that this is not necessary. It is an amateur performance and you can’t surpass professional performers. You only have inner energy, warmth, and spontaneity, these attract and attune people to you. If you have that, the method works. And if not, then of course you will fail.

This is because you are doing spiritual work, and in this work the most important thing is preparation.

Question: During the event itself, where is the Creator most of the time, with the audience or with our friends? To what must I be directed, towards the audience or the reaction of my friends?

Answer: I must be together with my friends as a single complete whole that is now conveying a message to the external public. Even when I go out to them alone as a representative of my group, I feel that I am still within the group and get spiritual force from it which is what I put into them. I must feel myself as a responsible representative of my group, transmitting the Upper Light.

Happiness is not measured by wealth or by the size of one’s house, not with how many electrical appliances there are in the kitchen, nor by success in business. It is impossible to measure it with material values.

First of all, the feeling of happiness is not subjective; it encompasses whole groups of people. On the one hand, there is a measurement of integrality in the index of happiness: If everyone around me is miserable, I cannot be happy.

Let’s say I can feel strong, this is also temporary because this also requires confirmation from some part of the society. The happiness could be felt in collective unity when there is support and agreement between the people.

Secondly, even though the person wants to achieve what has been taught by society: money, status, power, fame, and so forth, essentially he subconsciously is seeking a feeling of happiness. But since they don’t teach him this, he remains miserable all of his life with a feeling of a lack of real fulfillment. In his latter days of life, when he looks at the past, he understands that there was no benefit to his life: not for himself, not for his children or grandchildren; they, like him, will not be happy.

So finding the formula for happiness and teaching it to others is the most important thing in life. Moreover, if you don’t teach others, then you cannot be happy yourself, because the feeling of happiness, as studies have shown, depends on this being felt among the people around you. This is what the wisdom of Kabbalah is involved with.

Question: During our roundtable discussions about our problems, it is possible that questions and advice to search for political solutions might arise, i.e., that we need to change the government or the party for another one. How is it possible to prevent these kinds of conversations and how should we respond?

Answer: The correction of the world that we suggest in no way takes into account working with any organizations or any government or social elements since all of them are egoistic and directed towards receiving reward in the form of money, honor, fame, titles, etc. It is very difficult for us to work in a mutual way with each other because we are made of different “material.”

When you come to them and they understand that you want to profit, they know how much you will pay them, and they suggest the services or the assistance according to that amount.

But when completely different units of measure of work, efforts and success appears, then it is very hard for them to understand. Even as adversaries, they can get along with each other because they know and understand each other, but with us, it is not so.

And even if they could understand us, those are not the same methodologies to correct the world with. Therefore, we need to rely only on the education of the masses.

If there is some leader, some party that can help us in mobilizing the masses, then for a short period of our development in the educating of the masses, we can probably use them.

But in principle, all of humanity is before us. I don’t advise entering into any high government circles with roundtables because I don’t believe any correct or good contact between us can be created that way.

During all of the history of our development, we see clearly that those who help us do so because they know our goal and are willing to share in it without any political or other benefit.

Question: Did Israel convey abundance and Light to the worlds in the past?

Answer: Israel have never conveyed abundance to the worlds because it wasn’t our role. We are in an evolutionary process that started with Adam HaRishon, a time that was merely a preparation.

Then Abraham began to organize the pioneer force of all of humanity. He made an appeal and began to teach the people of Babylon and wrote books, as Rambam wrote.

He didn’t simply take them out from Babylon to the land of Canaan, but did great spiritual work. It seems that he didn’t do it by himself, but he had many helpers assisting him, although it doesn’t say so anywhere. Abraham is the symbol of a whole generation, the house of Abraham. He did great work in Babylon. There wasn’t one person in Babylon who didn’t know about it.

Rambam wrote: “Abraham was forty years old when he came to know his Maker. He began to speak to all the people and to let them know that there is one God in the world and that they should worship Him. He used to go from one city to the next and from one kingdom to another and call and gather hundreds of thousands. These are the people of the house of Abraham. He implanted this great principle in their hearts and wrote books, and this process intensified in the sons in Jacob and in those who accompanied them, and a whole nation was created that knows the Lord.”

This means that it was a long whole process, and Abraham needed time in order to go through Babylon and organize his group and gather thousands of disciples. This means that the people, the souls, that were connected to the level Abraham operated on, received his message and began to act too.

Babylon corrected itself. One adhered to Abraham and followed him and another according to his desire, decided to draw away from Abraham. It is the same today when each one fulfills his own desire and chooses his own way.

Then they dispersed in every direction, according to their desires, and gathered in different groups, tribes. This is the way the world exists until this very day, but Abraham’s group had to fulfill itself and so they built the First Temple, the first step in their spiritual correction.

Immediately afterward they began to fall, since the moment you attain a certain level and fulfill it in the spiritual world, a new state immediately begins. So they began to descend: they were exiled and then returned to the land of Israel in order to stabilize the vessel on the level of Hassadim, which was the Second Temple.

The Second Temple was also destroyed. Rabbi Akiva knew this was destined to happen. He laughed at the destruction of the Second Temple since he was glad that the time of the end of correction was coming.

On the one hand, he cried out and said that people should keep the rule of love thy friend as thyself. They had to hold on to this love and unity. This means that he cried for his disciples and for the great efforts he had invested in them, but they fell to unfounded hatred. On the other hand, he knew that that was the way it had to be and was glad that the time of the next phase had come, the phase of correction.

Question: Are you trying to say that rockets will not cease until I begin to love every Israeli like my own child? This means that this situation is absolutely hopeless because there is no chance that this condition can be carried out.

Answer: What if you suddenly discover that all the people of Israel are as close to you as your own children, that they are that closely connected to you and you to them? Suddenly, your vision would expand to such an extent that you would feel that they are a part of you and far more inseparable than your own children. If a miracle happens and a perception of this connection suddenly appears within you, would it be hard for you to love them?

Now, you love your children so much that they are more dear to you than your own life. However, suddenly, a feeling appears in you that you begin to feel other people, all the Jews living in Israel, like your own dear children. You would feel that they are closely connected to you, and depend on you and you on them.

It would be impossible to break this connection because they became closer to you than your own children. Also, you would always worry about them like they were your children. You would want to always be connected to them with your entire heart and soul. No one expects that you will make this happen immediately, but do not think that it is impossible. If our connection suddenly becomes revealed, this will become possible.

Question: However, human nature dictates that there is no one closer to a person than himself!

Answer: This is exactly why you will care for them once you feel like they are an inseparable part of you. Obviously, this is not a natural state, but it can happen just like when a woman births a child and begins to care constantly for him since he becomes her most dear part and more important than her own life.

Nature makes it happen, and it can make us love everyone else like our own self. This definitely will happen one day.

We must understand that the only way to end the Qassams is though the connection between us. Our unity will relax our neighbors and even turn them from enemies into our most loyal and closest friends, and the entire world, which is now standing behind them and will not allow anyone to touch them.

You soon will see how we will be required to cease fire and stop in the middle of this operation. We will not be able to complete it. The threat will remain, and tens of thousands of rockets will be aimed constantly at us.

However, if we unite, the entire world will change and say that they feel that we are their closest friends and that they want to be with us and will connect to us with their heart and soul. Through unity, we become the Light to the nations. We show them how to rise above their egoism, which never stops ruling over everyone and does not let go of entire nations and countries, this entire planet.

We can show everyone an example through our unity and teach them how to rise above their egoism. Then, our life will become peaceful and happy, and we hold the key to this life.

The nations of the world understand this subconsciously, and they blame Israel for bringing harm to the entire world and are to blame for all the world’s problems. The people of Israel do not see the connection, but other nations feel that this connection exists. To them, it is clear that Israel is the source of evil. This is their way of saying that Israel can be the source of all goodness, but is not carrying out its responsibilities.

The only way to disarm Hamas is by uniting between us within the nation of Israel. This way, we will stop supplying the world with an evil force. The entire world is blaming us for causing them harm. We are the channel through which bad energy flows out into the world.

People who have had no connection to Israel, who are on the opposite side of the world and do not share any borders with Israel, insist on this. They feel this subconsciously. This is their way of saying that Israel can be a source of good energy. If you want the wars to stop, to become the source of goodness, do good to the entire world.

The world only lacks connection, a friendly attitude toward other people: love. At least, do not do the things that you hate to others, and only Israel can bring this attitude to the world, under the condition that they follow it first. Let us begin with not wishing bad things to our neighbors!

Question: What connection is required of us? Is it the same thoughts and opinions?

Answer: How is each of us connected with their children? Do we have the same thoughts and opinions as they do? However, love will cover all sins!

Comment: This is quite true, but we are quite different in our home. Even twins are different. Therefore, it is impossible to reach the same opinion, yet we are very connected and close to each other. I do not know how it happens, but we are united by hearts.

Answer: It is that you love your children, despite all the differences between you. This is the kind of connection that is called “Love covers all transgressions.”

Question: Does it turn out that everyone can stay with his views, left or right?

Answer: Of course. If my children do not share my views, does this reduce my love for them? No! They are totally unrelated things. Similarly, it is in relation to other people.

Question: The last war revealed sharp differences among the people, between left and right, hardliners and peacekeepers. If we achieve unity of the people, will everyone be able to have his opinion?

There is no need to try to understand everything in advance. We are not capable of this now. So, we should just start to work, to unite with each other, to participate in workshops and discussions in circles.

Thus, we will discover that even though we are all different and distant from each other, despite this, we can build a common center of feeling. In this overall experience, we feel together as one heart for everyone.

When we are sitting together and talking, everyone trying to get out of himself and become integrated with others, in the center of our connection, we turn into one person with one heart. By this, we will open the tap, and the Light is shed through such a united group to the entire world.

If ten men of the people of Israel try to unite in this way, then as a result, millions of people of the nations of the world will feel that their lives are improving and thus, will change their attitude toward Israel, and if the world’s opinion changes, Hamas will not be able to do anything against us!

Question: What hope can you give us to solve this crisis?

Answer: I do not give any hope, but I am giving you an effective tool, the tool to unite people. What is required from us is not faith, but action. I wish us luck!

Rabash, Article “The Soul of Israel” (from Dargot HaSulam, Article No. 561): Those who preserve a unified soul of Israel, meaning the ones who weigh others on the scale of merit, retain their souls since “the wicked, in their lives, are called “dead.”

Without an inclination to justify others, one becomes “half and half,” similar to being between life and death. If one is predisposed to the good, it means that one belongs to the category of life. Thus, the Lights that one attracts fill the entire society.

We are at the crucial point since we possess a freedom of choice that allows us to choose between life and death, meaning to aspire to the good or to the evil. If we unite, then according to the nature of the property that we attain, we become similar to the Light and the Light starts streaming through us. The Light fills us and through us reaches the nations of the world and influences them.

This is the way our society is constructed. It consists of two parts: the Light goes through the upper part, Galgalta ve Eynaim, Israel, and descends to the lower part, AHP, the nations of the world. This happens when Israel weighs itself to the scale of merit.

If Israel doesn’t unite, but rather separates, mutually repulses, or rejects the condition to be “as one man with one heart,” the Light won’t be able to go through it. When a bottle neck is blocked, the Light cannot descend from the world of Infinity to all created beings. It means that Israel weighs the entire world on the scale of guilt.

Whether we want it or not, by the fact of being the people of Israel, we are positioned inside a pipe that channels the Light of Infinity to the world, thus leading the entire world either to goodness or suffering.

Question: What are we supposed to do to transition from the state of death to life?

Answer: Everything depends on our connection or disconnection. We must become similar to the Light, or else we are just opposite to it. In spirituality, there is only one law, the law of similarity of form between the created being and the Creator.

Question: We are involved with dissemination of the integral method in businesses: We developed a preliminary program of five lessons, we arranged practical work, and concluded with a unity event. The success was amazing!

At the same time, the group arranged similar workshops in another region of the nation, but they got a completely different results: People whom they worked with suddenly had a negative reaction and ceased all contact with our friends. I would like to understand, is this success or failure?

Answer: Why were there two dramatically different results? It’s evident that a some groups bear Light and others don’t.

We have to understand why this happens. In fact, it is not important what we say. You can speak beautifully, logically, and quote the sages, but all to no effect. And you can barely pronounce the words and people will listen to you as to a child who is muttering something and we admire him. This is because he ignites a unique channel and love streams to people through it.

This needs to be learned. There is no doubt that in a group that has not been successful this channel has not been ignited. It is necessary to check if these people have the right preparation, study correctly, and connect with other groups.

The first level of examination is whether we go to events with connection and unity between us, meaning with such a state where we gather the upper Light within us, and then it will begin to work through us.

In the future we will begin to feel how the Light works and will determine which part of it we bring to people. Suppose that today we are igniting them with the pressure of the characteristic of Nefesh or Ruach, or even Neshama, all of this we can measure precisely, follow it and use it. And people will perceive this.

In this way, a harmonious system of mutual cooperation is created between us, where all of its elements are found in full maximum balance. For all of us can feel each other so much that nobody pressures anyone, nobody expects anything, and everything rotates simultaneously at different ends of this system, like a well-oiled machine.

If we yearn for this in our group, we will eliminate negative external results because the upper Light will start streaming through us to people, and then it will continue to work.

Question: For us veterans there is the good fortune of watching the young people in our ranks taking upon themselves the lion’s share of concerns (internal and external) for dissemination of the integral method. They evoke admiration.

But together with this, a bitter taste remains of those people who have studied for some time and have gotten accustomed to another way of study and other mutual relationships. They cannot find their place in this system. So the group is in some kind of conflict. How should we perceive this?

Answer: I understand you very well, because I myself belong to this type of people. It was very difficult for me to recognize this, that the Creator can be attained only through practical connection and unity with people like me.

I grew up in science and I was its fan, so I thought that it was necessary to perform everything through the mind. When I studied The Study of the Ten Sefirot and other sources, I “swallowed” them and constantly digested them within me with all of the juices.

It seemed to me that this would help me and  that only in this way would I attain this wisdom. That is how it continued for a number of years. So I understand these people well. But what can be done? Even for me it was difficult to change myself, because I was created differently: closed, distant from others, kind of  a “bookworm.”

Question: Is it worthwhile to push them imperceptibly a bit to participate in dissemination or is it preferable to leave them alone?

Answer: It is forbidden to leave them alone. They must feel both through bitter envy and through sweet envy that you have what they don’t have and that you will attain the upper world specifically thanks to what you are doing, and they won’t.

You need to help them this way, but don’t deliberately poke them in their face, rather with subtlety, show that they must participate physically in this, if not actively, then with their desires, even those who are opposed: He doesn’t want to, but in spite of it all he participates. So it is said that in spiritual work a person is motivated by envy.

Israel is at war. There has never been such war before. For the first time, rockets of Israel-haters almost cover our whole country. Today in the firing range are five million Israelis. Previously, Israel was divided into climatic zones; but today, minutes and seconds were added into this division. It’s the time allotted to us and to our children to hide from incoming missiles.

We are fighting and we will be fighting until we win, but that is not the reason. Hatred motivates our enemy: How can we overcome it? We supply them with food, electricity, treat their wounded and we exchange the body of our soldiers for hundreds of live terrorists. We agree to a “humanitarian” ceasefire. And what do we get in return? Only hatred and anger.

And if it were just our neighbors. What about the internal enemies? Riots in Jerusalem, as well as the demonstrations in Judea and Samaria last week, are vivid examples.

How does the world respond to what is happening? Brazil and Ecuador are withdrawing their ambassadors. Anti-Israel demonstrations are taking place in  Germany, France, England, Italy, and other countries. They unanimously require that we get out of Gaza. In other words, they want us to not interfere with Hamas who are digging tunnels and firing rockets at us.

The whole world, not saying a word, is united against us, and us: “Where is our unity!?”

When missiles are falling on Tel Aviv, some of our people go to the streets with demonstrations against our combat with Hamas. When rioters in Paris burn shops of French Jews, American Jews protest in Manhattan with signs “Boycott Israeli Apartheid.”

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF

History repeats itself in a horrible way. Haters of Jews are united among themselves, and the Jews are either passive, or, on the contrary, show examples of self-destructive indifference.

Before the looming Holocaust, the eminent Kabbalist of the 20^th century, Baal HaSulam asked, even begged, the Jewish people to unite, but no one listened to him. Here is what he wrote in the editorial of the first and, at the same time, last issue of HaUma (The Nation) published on June 5, 1940:

If we don’t hope for a miracle, it becomes clear that our existence—both individually and as a nation—is teetering on the scales of life and death.

If we lose time and do not rise together as one man in order to apply tremendous effort needed in the hour of danger, saving for ourselves the remaining part of Israel, then the events, happening now, will turn rampant, as the situation unfolds according to the will of our enemies, who intend to wipe us from the face of Earth.

It is also clear that the enormous efforts on the path, which lies before us and containing abundant obstacles, will require unity, firm and unbreakable as steel, of every part of our people without exception.

HOW TO UNITE

Unfortunately, few people know that Kabbalah is primarily a method of unity. Throughout history, Kabbalists united people, but there were always external and more often, internal forces that prevented this. When the idea of unity prevailed among the nation, it won, and when the nation was torn by internal contradictions, its enemies defeated it.

Today, Kabbalists are again make every effort to unite the people of Israel, and the best opportunity to experience the real power of unity are in the discussion circles that are held across the country.

With the help of the Kabbalistic method of unity, it is possible to overcome any barrier: mentality, origin, age, political views, or any other. Common efforts can overcome rejection, disagreement, and misunderstanding. We are all different, but we can become “as one man with one heart!”
