Connect the Spiritual Roots

939.02Question: In Kabbalistic articles, it says it is a necessity to strive for equality among ourselves. Why specifically toward equality? What does a person gain when he reaches this state?

Answer: In a group, one should strive to be able to help his friends as much as possible. This is your movement forward and the advancement of all the friends. As you set a good example to your friends, each begins to work the same way. As a result, all of you reach the goal.

Question: But what is this state—equality? What is its benefit? When I am higher than a friend, I understand that I can inspire him. When he is higher than me, I can learn something from him. And what do I gain if we are equal?

Answer: Equality as such cannot exist at all because we are all different. Everyone has natural spiritual roots, another soul. And therefore, each person can enrich the other.

When Kabbalah students unite with each other, all their spiritual roots unite and form what is called the Tree of Life. That is, by merging, they can evoke a great light from above, which reveals the entire system of creation to them.

Special Atmosphere

945Question: Rabash writes that a person who studies Kabbalah can create an atmosphere that allows him to work only for the sake of bestowal.

How does the hour or two a day that a person dedicates to meeting like-minded people affect him in a way that he wants to be in a completely opposite quality? How does this happen?

Answer: He connects with his friends in spiritual work and study, and as a result, if he merges with them, then such a group is obtained, such a general force that reveals the universal upper light that fills the ten, this group.

Therefore, being united with his friends into one common whole, a person begins to realize the meaning of creation, its reasons, and its purpose.

All this creates such an internal stable state with which a person enters more and more into the upper world that one begins to see the surrounding nature more and more deeply.

Ask the Creator to Help Us

938.01Question: You often say that the minimum number is two. And yet, how can the little tens be sure at this convention that they will receive support, that they are like a full-fledged Kli?

Answer: This is what the convention is organized for, so that all the small groups come together and form one big Kli. Therefore there is no need to worry that there are groups of three or four people. It does not matter; we unite together into one Kli and turn from it to the Creator.

There are several thousand of us, and therefore small groups are included in all the others.

Question: In spirituality does each of us have one’s own work and no one else will do my work for me?

Answer: We each have our own and at the same time joint work. Therefore no one will do either one of the jobs for us. Our job is to ask the Creator to help us. This is the most important thing.

The Particular Is Included in the General

275Question: Sometimes I feel such a state of my corruption that I do not want to exist like this. But the state changes and it seems I can still live like this. Does everyone have their own measure of these conditions or is it somehow related to the total mass of people going through the correction? What does it depend on?

Answer: It depends on you. In any case, you should look for connections with your friends and then with the Creator.

Question: Can these changing states be regarded as degrees of coming closer to the Creator?

Answer: Of course.

Question: How do I understand if this is my personal state or the general state of a ten, a group, or humanity?

Answer: I will only say one thing. Any of our individual, personal states are anyway included in the general state of the ten, the group, and the entire world Kli.

Without a Doubt

239Question: Sometimes the thought comes to mind that we want to “receive” the Creator. But we know we belong to the Creator and He can do what is good for us. Then it turns out that the place for efforts disappears, and He does everything for us, as it were. How can this be correlated?

Answer: Everything is much simpler. By turning to the Creator, I know that only He can change my state, save me from any bad state, and raise me to a good one.

I should not doubt that the Creator will provide all this for me. I am in such an environment, a group, a ten, which is sure that the Creator has the possibility to change our states from negative to positive.

In principle, everything depends on Him, but I have to do everything that depends on me.

Where Should My Request to the Creator Begin?

216.01Question: In a state where a person has forgotten what is most important and valuable to him, he doesn’t feel he has already lost something. Where should a new request begin? Should it begin with the attitude toward friends or toward the goal of merging with the Creator?

Answer: You should start with “There Is None Else besides Him.” Read this article in Shamati again or even just one paragraph, but in such a way as to understand that no other force in the world wants to lift you and bring you to a corrected state.

There is nothing more important to you than the Creator. That is exactly what you need to think about.

Cry Out to the Creator

562.01Question: What is the loss in the heart that leads to a feeling of true lowliness that leads to true prayer?

Answer: It happens that a person does not feel any connection with his friends or with the Creator. He feels completely cut off from spirituality and does not know what to do next.

This condition, on the one hand, is very good because it shakes a person, and on the other hand, it is very acute. At this point, a person must gather all his strength and cry out to the Creator.

The Long-Sought Meeting

939.01The essence of the assembly is for everyone to be in one unity and for all to seek but one purpose: to find the Creator (Maor VaShemesh, VaYechi).

Question: We will have many different actions at the convention. How exactly do we hold on to being in unity and “finding the Creator“?

Answer: We have no other goal. We want to connect with each other, discover the Creator, and come closer to Him.

He, for His part, will influence us and help us unite and reveal Him. This is how we will meet.

The most important thing for us is the Creator. He is between us, fills us, raises us, connects us, and leads us to complete correction where we adhere with Him.
