Kabbalah Is Not Transmitted through Inheritance

627.1Question: Did your teacher Rabash tell you how he came to study Kabbalah?

Answer: He was born into the family of a great Kabbalist and continued his work.

Comment: But you said that Kabbalah is not transmitted by inheritance.

My Response: This is not about inheritance, but about the environment in which he lived. He could very easily not study Kabbalah. Baal HaSulam certainly did not force him.

I have two daughters and a son. My son studies constantly, but in a very calm way. One daughter is completely disconnected from Kabbalah because science, biology, is everything to her. The second one is very devoted to our path, inner work, and everything that happens to a person on this journey.

It is not possible to understand where it came from to them and what it is. It is as if I was divided into two people. One is me, the incomplete scientist incarnated in the first daughter, and the other, a Kabbalist, in the second one. This is how they divided my internal system among themselves.

Question: Although Kabbalah is not transmitted at the genetic level, does something remain? You are a Kabbalist, and are your children carrying a part of you?

Answer: Maybe yes and maybe no, and not necessarily in one’s children.

Spiritual and Physical Closeness

627.2Question: Children are like the next degree, the resulting derivatives. How can it be that a person does not have the data that parents received—you, for example?

Answer: How can he receive this? What does matter have to do with it? It does not exist at all. This is the most minimal layer that is revealed to us. All our other levels are much higher. Our world is the lowest. All Reshimot come from the worlds of Assiya, Yetzira, Beria, and Atzilut. So, nothing like that can even be here.

Question: But does your corporeal child exist at the spiritual level?

Answer: He has a Reshimo, nothing more! If he yearns, he will enter this system. I cannot really help him here even if he is my favorite child.

I will help another physically, a complete stranger, because he has a great desire to come closer to the Creator, to reveal the upper world. I will naturally help him based on my new data. That is, spiritual closeness is not physical closeness.

How Can You Adhere to the Mind and Heart of the Teacher?

165Question: How should a student behave correctly in order to attach himself to the state you are in?

Answer: It is not easy, I know from my own experience.

The student must try to use the heart and mind of the teacher, to glue to them as if there were none of his own.

When you try to do this, you receive a huge mind and a huge heart opposite to the teacher, and you start to act. Your mind and heart are on the left side, the teachers’ are on the right side. In the middle between them you are trying to create something that connects both of these objects. It is not simple.

There are few such people in our world and there are few among our students. There should not be many of them, but in general, they exist. They try to do it, and that means a lot. The main thing is to try! If there are many such people, they will cover quality by quantity.

Question: How can one adhere to the mind and heart of a teacher?

Answer: Just through the request to the same upper force that binds us together to help you annul before the teacher. Then he would be able to raise you like a little child. Otherwise, your egoism lifts you higher, you feel higher than the teacher, more knowledgeable, understanding, and strong, and as a result, you cannot receive anything from him.

Question: But how can a student analyze whether he is integrated in the teacher correctly?

Answer: You must begin to feel it; otherwise, you will not be able to understand.

Question: Could this be a false sensation?

Answer: It does not matter. Attempts will lead to a correct result.

Spiritual Laboratory

938.03Comment: Sometimes you tell your students: You are an experimental group, and a methodology is being worked out on you.

My Response: I work with them. They are changing, and thus we can find out increasingly higher and deeper layers of nature.

I allow myself to open up to the extent that they change. Just like any teacher if he has more advanced students, he can talk to them on higher topics.

Question: What is best for you and your laboratory?

Answer: I wish they were at my level! That would be the best thing. We would do experiments together.

Question: If there are 10 to 20 people next to you who are in spiritual attainment, what is the benefit?

Answer: This would give a completely different exploration of the world. I would really like to have 10 to 20 such students so that all mankind will rise up! We would have been on a completely different degree already! It is a different dimension!

This is not our world, but the lowest state that we do not feel. What should we live for?! Not for the sake of our mortal body, but in order to exist on a spiritual level, in attainment, and in reciprocity!

All Movements Are Inside a Person

145Question: If, according to Kabbalah, time, motion, and space do not exist, what actually happens when it seems to a person that he is walking around the city or going somewhere? After all, he is moving.

Let’s say a Kabbalist leaves for London to visit his students. Does it actually change his state? What is happening with respect to them and with respect to him?

Answer: Physical movement means internal, vector movement in qualities. Therefore, coming to London, a person feels differently, perceives everything a little differently, and treats everything differently. This is called “moving to London.” There is no movement, except inside, in your feelings.

Comment: But when you go to another country, you fly by plane.

My Response: So what? Who cares? An airplane is a manifestation of our egoistic desires, which have developed and manifested in this way.

Question: Is there any place that removes or brings a person closer to his essence? Where should he be? For example, someone lives in Chicago, someone else in China.

Answer: Of course, there is a difference in where a person lives. We see that in our world, there is a huge difference.

Question: What is the difference between my being there and here? What is changing? Let’s say I go to the airport, get on a plane, and fly somewhere.

Answer: You land, and immediately you are completely different. A change in the internal state of a person takes place.

There are people who do not feel these movements, because for them it does not matter where they are. And there are people who do not take it well. The Kabbalist moves everything inside himself.

If I go somewhere with a group of students, I hardly feel where I am. Of course there are different languages and everything else, but it practically does not change anything. I sit with my students in Rome, in Madrid, in South America, no matter where, and I do not feel the difference. But in the country where I live, if I give lectures to an outside audience, I feel different.

It is better for me to give classes for our Italian or Spanish groups while there than to give a lecture to strangers in Israel. After all, my students, Italians, Spaniards, and others, are much closer to me. While being among them, it is as if I do not go anywhere. They understand me, but locals, outsiders do not.

Question: But when you fly somewhere, are you completely different?

Answer: No. Each time it feels less and less, that when approaching them, I speak differently. Now this is gradually disappearing because very similar social, economic, and group processes are taking place everywhere, we are all studying the same thing.

Before, I was a little different with them because their groups were young and new, and I talked to them as if they were people who were not yet aware of our methodology.

Now I can speak to them in exactly the same language. After all, they are present at all our lessons and meals. They read my blog translated into their own language, which means they are in continuous communication with us and with me. Therefore, I am the same with them as I am with my students in Israel.

Measured Filling

582.01Kabbalistic methodology is based on questions and answers. What else is there in life? Question and answer, Kli and Ohr, the vessel and the light that fills it, plus or minus, darkness or light, everything around us, and we are made only of these two elements.

Question: New students have a huge number of questions, and they receive many answers. Those who have been studying for a long time can answer some of the questions themselves because they understand what it is about internally, based on the methodology itself, and it makes no sense for them to ask a question.

But how important is a question, and how do we not quench it? After all, the more a person learns, he probably has fewer questions?

Answer: His questions are more subtle, like those of any specialist. They already touch such peaks that are incomprehensible and uninteresting to a simple person. The ordinary person does not understand them, and the specialists are somewhere far away, beyond the clouds.

With a specialist, of course, you talk differently. You can talk to him about some small things, and he sees great pleasure in their disclosure, in their sensation, just like, for example, two biologists talk about some kind of bugs, worms, or systems. This is natural, because for a specialist it is a completely different world.

And beginners come with their eyes wide open. They, like a newborn, need to be given very, very measured filling; otherwise, they will not be able to perceive anything. By the way, this is not easy.

Comment: Sometimes it happens that a person dumps all his experience on a newcomer, and he is simply in shock.

My Response: No. Teachers for beginners take special courses. They know what to do: they have a methodology, books, and manuals on how to teach people, and have experience gained over the years.

Forever Young Soul

244Comment: You have long term students who used to be hot-tempered and impudent and then changed, became more patient.

My Response: Character has nothing to do with spirituality.

The soul has no age, it is always young. If it is constantly updated, then the person is a child until the very last minute. He wonders at the world and looks at everything with wide-open eyes, because for him the world is always new!

Sometimes you look at people: heavy, filled with all sorts of information. Know that you are looking at an empty person, there is nothing in him! If he does not free himself every minute and does not feel the world as new in his renewing qualities, then he is dead, there is nothing to learn from him, there is nothing to ask him. He only pretends to be important, because he has absorbed dead knowledge and is afraid to spill it out.

Comment: It happens that at first some of the students are full of criticism, and when they go through certain states, they become more tolerant and understanding.

My Response: Yes, there is no need to make a revolution here. We need to figure out what the problem is and adjust ourselves to it.

The problem is that in spirituality you do not need to correct someone, you need to correct yourself. In spirituality, one should strive not to reveal something or to receive something, but to ensure that I have a desire to receive, a desire to reveal! Then spirituality will be manifested in me.

Basically, I am in an ocean of infinite pleasure and infinite knowledge. To the extent that I have a desire for this, I will be fulfilled. So, we need to work not to be fulfilled, but to want to be fulfilled.

This is a very serious psychological problem, not very clear to people in our world, because this is a different world.

Trusting the Teacher

165Question: Man is an uncorrected mechanism. What needs to be added to him so that it changes in your perception?

Answer: I am working on him, a little more, and a little more, and more

And while he is screaming, jumping, doing something for or against, wanting or not wanting something, he suddenly falls, sleeps, or something else. There is no other way. I am patiently waiting.

Comment: But you also work directly on a student. It is not just his job.

My Response: Of course. Naturally.

Question: How can a student allow you to work harder?

Answer: By trying to flow along with me and not resisting internally as much as possible. It is very difficult!

Question: Were you like that regarding Rabash?

Answer: Much worse. It is very difficult!

In one of my books, I described the story of David Lakes about unwavering trust in his Kabbalah teacher. One evening, they were sitting at a meal, and no one had a penny in their pocket—they were all very poor. Suddenly, the teacher said to him: “David, give me money to buy mead.” The student put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a gold coin.

This is not a trick but a true story of the clothing of the light of Hochma in the light of Hassadim. We do not understand this, so the story seems like a fairy tale or an interesting parable to us. But in fact, it is true.

Spirit Analysis

281.02Question: How do you feel how far your student has progressed?

Answer: I conduct an analysis and see. The analysis is not of medical indicators, but of the spirit.

The spiritual is the same material, but not for everyone. For example, you can do an analysis of various waves, radioactivity, gasses, or some other natural phenomena, and I can measure the parameters of the spirit, and the other cannot.

Question: But how is this measured? Due to the fact that a person does some certain actions, or does he have internal changes after all?

Answer: Of course internal changes are taking place in him. I incorporate him in myself, as if in my laboratory, and measure using my ruler. Previously, he got, say, up to 20 divisions, and now up to 25.

After Rabash Was Gone

737.01Question: Your teacher was already an elderly person when you met him. You knew that in any event he would pass away. Did you prepare yourself for his death?

Answer: It was absolutely clear to me that I would be unable to live a single day in the surroundings where he was once he was gone. I was in that place and with those people only because of him. Only! The moment he would not be there, I would not be there either.

Rabash left. He died in my arms in the hospital. There was no one around him but me. It was Friday. I called and told the guys that our teacher is not here anymore. People started coming to the hospital. The same day the funeral took place at 11 in the morning. We went to Jerusalem. I remember all of this as in a dream.

I still thought that I should not be so easily separated from the others and they from me, and that we should break into many parts. I understood that eventually I would have to do that. I was thinking that we would have to reorganize somehow in the same system, in the same society. After all, in Kabbalah it is written about society, about group, so it means I have to do something. And I tried.

In the end I felt rejection from the others, and they felt the same way toward me, and everything broke into many pieces. One group stayed in Bnei Barak, another one in Jerusalem, the third one somewhere else. It happened as I expected.

Question: Does it mean you played the “film” of what would happen after Rabash’s death for yourself?

Answer: Absolutely. No doubt. I even talked using hints about this with Rabash. Why not?

In the same way today I can talk about what will happen when I am gone; there has to be a group the same as now. The core of the group is the people I rely on even today. I can even say their names. They can lead the group correctly together and in no way will be swayed by other opinions that jump out here and there.

The same happened after Rabash was gone. Right away upstarts appeared. With the teacher they were sitting quietly in the corner, but now they got a feeling that everyone is equal. No way! There are no equals.

There are people who are not capable, do not understand, and still undeveloped internally to be inside the governing system, in the core. And there are those who according to their inner readiness, to their connection with me are ahead. They possess the inner self-discipline; they can continue to carry on this mission. Therefore, I think it will get organized this way.
