Comment: Recently, the Academic Vernadsky has become increasingly popular. According to his views on the universe, he can even be compared to a biblical prophet.

His works are closely intertwined with the ideas of the most ancient science on earth, the science of Kabbalah, which reveals the structure of the universe, its purpose, the place of man in it, and the meaning of life.

Vernadsky, in his research, came to the conclusion that the number of combinations and interrelations we see in the smallest grain of sand of creation are the same on the global scale.

My Response: The individual and general are equal. This is the so-called principle of “similarity of specific and general.” That is, the atom is like the solar system, the solar system is like the greater cosmos, and so on.

We all come from one small point. We are talking about the upper worlds, which then expand and bring us to our world. Our world, our universe, was also formed from a small dot.

And so it is at each level: a small point descends and with the help of the matter formed in it turns into a large, expanded system. Then, at the next level, the whole system is deployed again from its final, lowest point. And on and on. There are five such descents, five worlds.

This is how our universe appeared from a small point, by the force of the so-called Big Bang. In fact, there was no huge explosion. A small spark of spiritual energy broke through from the highest spiritual level to the material level. And because it is spiritual, this spark was enough to create all of today’s matter, energy, information—everything that fills our world.

Question: Psychologists say that happy people during a streak of bad luck think things like: “It could have been even worse.” Therefore, they quite easily cope with a streak of failures. Do you think this method is correct?

Answer: No, by no means do I believe that running away from the correct work with egoism will lead us to a good life.

We all similarly have to think about how to rise a step above egoism, and then we will be fine. Whereas, running away from all sorts of egoistic corrections and disturbances is not correction and is not a way to a better life.

Comment: Yet, people say, “If you think that it could really be much worse than it is now or that the other one has it even worse,  it helps.”

My Response: This is absolutely right. But this is not a method of correction, it is simply psychological self-complacency.

Comment: Two thousand years ago it was written in The Book of Zohar that the Earth is round.

My Response: It turns out that the unfortunate Giordano Bruno was burned, and the Kabbalists were sitting somewhere in silence.

The fact is that it was impossible to reveal this to people ahead of time, otherwise, all Kabbalists would have been burned. The Book of Zohar contains such things that humanity has discovered not only in the last two thousand years but there are those we have yet to discover. Still, we do not talk about them.

It is not necessary for a person to know more than he himself achieves through his work. As it is, we have revealed too much, it would have been better if we knew less. After all, most of our discoveries are not good for us.

Everything that a person has done after he left the cave or descended from the tree, he does only to his own detriment since technological progress overtakes moral progress.

We are not even trying to make ourselves better and naturally adapt nature for ourselves. We try to artificially clothe ourselves in some kind of cocoon and be independent of nature, independent of the Creator. It does not work.

We are constantly in a race of how to protect ourselves, how to secure ourselves. We nevertheless come to a failure.

Question: Academic Vernadsky wrote that he was aware that he was destined to disclose to humanity new knowledge about living matter.

To what extent should each person reveal their mission in relation to the general system? There are scientists who somehow perceive and feel this.

Answer: In principle, each person should fully discover their purpose. One must ascend through the material world toward the point of origin of our world, our universe, then to the spiritual worlds and pass through them from the bottom up to reach the highest and very first point from which the evolution of creation started, from the spiritual and then material.

Question: Is it possible to say that the root of a person determines the kind of occupation in which he should be engaged, his profession, and everything else?

Answer: Absolutely everything. There is nothing that is not predefined. Everything comes from above. From some point emerges our universe and everything that exists on it.

Today we understand that there is a huge amount of information, private and common laws, and energy that are tied between each other, intertwined in billions of all kinds of physical, chemical, and biological subsystems. But they all represent one single sphere.

Is it possible that something will appear by chance or all of a sudden? Only because it escapes our attention and we do not understand the cause-and-effect development, the origin of something, we say that it is by chance in relation to us.

But later after some time, we discover the reason, nature, and origin of this phenomenon or object, the causal chain of development. And therefore, this randomness ceases to be random, it becomes logical and we can use it and see its analogy on other levels.

That is, in essence nothing in nature can appear from nothing. There are no coincidences. Even the statistics that we use, probability theory, we use only because we cannot see the full picture and we are unable to calculate all the possibilities.

Actually, none of this exists in nature. As Einstein was saying, “God does not play dice.” This is truly so. And we play dice because we see a small picture, which is let’s say 70% truthful.

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is set to replace the aging Hubble space telescope. If all goes as planned, it will begin to “unveil the first science-quality images” next month, according to space.com. A CBS News story explains that Webb is 100 times more powerful than Hubble, and can detect the heat signature of a bumblebee from as far away as the moon.

For scientists, it is a cause for celebration. “Webb was specifically designed to allow us to see those very first galaxies that formed after the Big Bang … It’s like we have this 14-billion-year-old story of the universe, but we’re missing that first chapter,” said astrophysicist Amber Straughn in an interview for “60 Minutes.”

I have no doubt that the images will be stunning and new revelations are imminent. But even if we could look back to the moment of the Big Bang itself, we would not find the forces that created the universe, and as a result, created us.

As powerful as Webb’s mirrors may be, they will not be able to reflect the forces that created the universe. To discover the forces that created the material universe, we need a different kind of telescope. Just as the light from the mirrors is reflected into the center of the new telescope, which then connects them into an image, the forces that create the universe can be revealed by connecting the forces that bind us together.

These forces come from a higher realm than the material one, which is confined by the limitations of self-interest. When there is no self-interest, nothing limits these forces and they can connect in a way that engenders life.

Only forces that are higher than self-interest can create life. Forces that are bound by an ego-centered perception cannot create anything; they can only absorb. Just as a mother’s creative force of life is her love for her child, whom she loves even prior to conception, the forces that create life are forces of giving, without a hint of self-absorption.

When we create relationships based on an approach that corresponds to the forces that created the universe, we can discover them. Just as a receiver of radio waves receives them by creating similar frequencies within itself, when we create a “frequency” of transcending our own ego, we discover the forces that exist on that “wavelength,” and we can study their nature, behavior, and power.

Such forces, which transcend the ego, must have an object toward which to aim. This is why it is imperative that we discover them through collaborative work.

When we reveal these forces, we will understand how to correct the errors in our behavior and how to adjust our lives to the forces that create life. At that time, we will be able to build our societies in a manner that is sustainable, safe, and satisfying for everyone.

Question: The Russian scholar Vladimir Vernadsky came to the doctrine of the “noosphere” at the junction of the First and Second World Wars, which, as he wrote, completely changed his consciousness because he began to analyze the reason why world wars occur and where they lead.

Why did scientists of such magnitude see a new stage in the development of mankind during the times of severe upheavals?

Answer: What else can lead humanity to some changes if not upheavals? Otherwise we won’t wake up.

If a man is a desire to receive, to enjoy, and to be filled, then when I get what I want, I no longer have any needs; I will be content. If a new desire has arisen, I fill it. Otherwise, I have no motivation to move; I will not develop myself.

New desires arise from within me according to some internal program unknown to me. If they automatically get filled from the outside, then I myself do not exist, there is no movement coming from me. A person can be developed only by constantly arousing newer and newer desires in him and, at the same time, not giving him fulfillment so he will look for how to fill himself.

This leads us to progress. Later we reach some kind of impasse and see that we can no longer fill ourselves. This is a characteristic feature of our generation. Hence we see depression, suicide, drug use, and everything else. New desires appear, but nobody knows how to fill them.

Moreover, some desires lie beyond this world. Therefore we begin to relate to our world nihilistically, indifferently, with detachment. We are overwhelmed with desires for something more, to which we see no answers in our world. Where is the source of those pleasures that I desire?

This is how nature pushes us to open the noosphere.

I am convinced that the whole cosmos is united both in the material and spiritual sense. Within the universe there is a centre (jezgro) wherefrom we receive all our strength, all inspiration: it attracts us; I feel its power and values which it emits to the whole of the universe and thus keeps it in harmony. I have not fathomed the mystery of that centre, but I know it exists, and when I wish to give it some material attribute, then I think it is Light, and when I try to understand it spiritually then it is Beauty and Charity. The one who carries this faith inside feels strong, labour is a joy to him, for he feels himself to be a tone within the universal harmony (Nikola Tesla).

My Response: Tesla was a great scientist. His attitude to the world was really special: a single world that offers to reveal itself to us. But then, it was not yet the time.

There were such people in all ages who could rise above themselves, above the mechanical attitude to science. In other words, they are not techies, but feelers. That is the structure of their soul.

They feel that in order to understand the world, they need different tools, which they do not yet possess.

That is, science—as it is structured and moving forward today—will not attain it by itself. It has become purely mechanical. Therefore, there is a crisis in science. Scientists constantly feed us with all sorts of supposedly interesting things so they themselves can exist and show that they are doing something.

But in principle, science itself is in a huge crisis, and this is acknowledged. Moreover, if in the past there were such periods of crisis where we allegedly disclosed everything and there was nothing more to discover, now it is the other way around. We see that we have reached a kind of dead end beyond which we cannot reveal anything.

The ever quickening advances of science made possible by the success of the Human Genome Project will also soon let us see the essences of mental disease. Only after we understand them at the genetic level can we rationally seek out appropriate therapies for such illnesses as schizophrenia and bipolar disease.

Knowing “why” (an idea) is more important than learning “what” (the fact) (James D. Watson).

Comment: Scientists cannot explain how or why these changes occur.

My Response: But there are things that we can really change in ourselves by making some rearrangements in the genes. It is just the inner part of our body; its higher level is where information about it is encoded. It is not beyond our reach. It is in our power to change things there because it is an egoistic part of our existence.

Imagine such a tool as a man has been created, in his animal body, with his own characteristics. It contains certain information and some kind of program of existence and development. We get access to this program because we have already developed to a certain degree and can tap into this block within us, either to do something with good intentions or, as usually happens, with bad ones.

A while back we gained access to primitive weapons, then to firearms, then to the atomic bomb. We can use them either for harm or for good. It’s the same here. We have two ways before us: either to act for the benefit of humanity or to harm it. So it will be until people come to their senses.

But it’s all a matter of technology! I don’t see anything out of reach here. We will be able to somewhat understand the causes of certain diseases and psychological and psychotic disorders.

But of course this will not solve our problem as humanity, nor the problem of our existence or the meaning of life. It is just in charge of our body.

Question: Why did many researchers call 2012 a turning point in human development?

Answer: I did not consider this year to be a turning point, but even before that I was skeptical about many things. For example, although many great Kabbalists, such as Baal HaSulam, the Gaon of Vilnius, and others, wrote that Kabbalah would begin to be revealed to the masses in 1995, I did not believe that this would happen. I speak frankly about this.

That is, I did not see in my Kabbalistic studies how this could happen. On my still spiritual, but small level, I did not see this. They, however, being very prominent discoverers of the spiritual world, discovered it. Outwardly, I agreed with their vision, but inside, as a researcher, I was skeptical. Kabbalah is a science, and I have the right to say that I did not feel it.

The same is true for 2012. I did not see any suppositions for this year to be special. Now any year, any day, can be a turning point in the development of humanity. Some small blow is enough to seriously awaken a person, as, for example, academician Vernadsky awakened in his time, but not so much through a personal drama.

However, we need a shake-up so that a person seriously rises above his little world and asks: “What for? Why? How? I need to know the answer.” And then he will need to reveal Kabbalah.

It will become the means by which he will open the “noosphere” and all the upper worlds, and reach the connection of both worlds and the eternal, infinite, perfect existence—not dying, but rising above his animate level to the spiritual level.

Question: Did Vernadsky call the noosphere a certain new level of existence?

Answer: Yes. But anyway, this word does not exist in Kabbalah, just like many others. For example, there is no term “holism” from the English words for “everything” or “completely.” But in principle this is heading in the same direction. Only Kabbalah divides this into many different levels and gives them their own names.

People who are more or less connected with nature by profession feel it better. Nature itself forces them to be more delicate, closer to their essence. At first glance they may seem crude, but they feel nature and its laws through themselves, and therefore, they are different.

Comment: In particular, the academic Vernadsky said that humanity should live the life of a single whole. In his opinion, the whole development of technology is not accidental and is connected with the fact that humanity must reveal its globalization. But he wrote about it in general terms, in general concepts. He did not know how to do it.

My Response: He had no methodology. To do this, you need to know all the layers of the spiritual world up to the highest degrees, to the spiritual root of everything that exists.

It is necessary to attain all five worlds, all 125 degrees, not counting our world, and find in that root its five primordial parts, the five initial stages of development, in order to understand the whole plan, the entire previous history of our descent from that root from top to bottom to the material world, and then our ascent from bottom to top.

Vernadsky did not have this device. But he still attained a lot. He felt the thought of creation all around our world, and he called it Noosphere.
