New Perception—Collective Consciousness

530Collective perception brings a person to a different plane. It says that you have to break away from yourself and enter the team, take everything that exists in the team as your own, try to think, act, and solve issues based on someone else’s opinion, someone else’s desire, and someone else’s goals.

Get used to this image and after a while see if you can return to yourself and to what extent it will be a different “you.”

Therefore, in Kabbalah, the so-called “ten” is practiced, when ten people unite with each other and organize a common base for desire, for a goal, for thought, in order to turn themselves into one whole. To do this, everyone must nullify themselves toward everyone else, and then, as a result of such joint work—it is not easy, it takes time—they turn into one whole, as it were.

It is very interesting to observe how they begin to think, celebrate, and solve problems. Everyone has a completely different ability to see the world at the same time. This is an integral perception of reality.

They can move away from that back to themselves, do the same exercise again in new conditions, unite together and thus see what the difference is between personal perception and integral perception. This is what Kabbalah practices. It advises us to interact in such a way in order to gradually understand what actually exists in our consciousness, how it works, how we can look at it a little differently, not from itself.

Mind—Connection Between Specks Of Feelings

250Question: Consciousness is our thoughts and feelings. A thought is a product of the mind.

Kabbalah believes that there is only the thought of creation, that is, the information field. In this sense, thoughts and heart complement each other. The driving mechanism is the desire of the heart, and the result of processing these feelings is thought. Is thought also a sensation?

Answer: If we are talking about the basis of our entire nature, then it is sensation. Just a feeling. In other words, desire and what is perceived in it. The mind is the connection between these specks of feelings.

Question: When you say “leave your mind,” are you talking about an external mind that is detached from feeling? If it is based on feeling, is it already something different?

Answer: In order to feel correctly, we need to break away from the mind and then return to it again. There must be reason between the feelings: senses – reason, feelings – reason. However, when they are together, they actually interfere with each other and do not allow each other to develop.

Let’s say I felt something. Now I can process it in my mind and then as if detach it from myself and try to expand the range of my feelings again.

Differentiation Within A Person

226Question: In Kabbalah, there is such a concept as upper light. Can we say that the general information field forms this upper light?

Answer: You can give some analogies. But all the same, I would not reduce the information field to the physical, either it is particles or it is waves, because in this way we lower its level, and first of all the level of its influence.

The information field is not divided into parts. And the person who perceives it divides it according to its structure. The field itself is indivisible. It carries absolutely all the information, and all the influences that we feel come from it.

In principle, we can say that everything we perceive is information, which is then felt in ourselves as some parts of nature: pleasant, unpleasant, etc. That is, all the differentiation takes place within us.

Conditionality Of Consciousness

234Question: How can we check how adequate our perception of reality is?

Answer: What our consciousness decides, we accept as the truth and act accordingly. But at the same time, we close ourselves in. Unfortunately, there may be no other way out. In our real world, there is nothing we can do.

The problem is that we are spinning in that dimension, in that paradigm, in that relation to the world around us that come from the tools of cognition that we received from birth.

If we were a little different, we would imagine the world to be different, just like bees, snakes, and other representatives of the animal world. They see the picture of the world quite differently from us: either in the form of spots of color, or taste, or warmth, and so on. That is, consciousness and its decoding by our brain are conditional.

We live in a very limited, conditional world, which is depicted to us in our corporeal sensory organs. We do not know what is happening outside of us because our senses are locked inside. But how can we exit our subjective sensations of the world and somehow imagine the world not being fashioned by our senses, but truly existing?

What objectively exists at all? Is there something or not? This is perhaps the most important question. And if there is some objective force outside of us, how does it relate to us? How does it control us? How does it organize us? Is there a higher consciousness? These questions are very interesting to me personally.

Experiment On Conscience

294.4Question: When you speak about the perception of reality, you suggest a special game—viewing from different sides, how would I act if I think like an egoist or how would I act if I think like an altruist?

Do you think this technique can be used in everyday life in relation to ordinary things, as an experiment?

Answer: I think that if we would build a small society in which we could do exercises on correct, kind relationships between people, we would discover stunning possibilities in the area of the mind, perception, and evaluation of life and human existence and we would develop completely different abilities.

If we could put a person in the conditions of telling the truth, treating others with kindness, and so on, it would be interesting what tools would be enabled there: connections, systems in our psychology, and the ability to feel the world.

I think that then we would begin to feel the world as much wider and deeper, using precisely those possibilities of our perception that are somehow automatically hidden from us today.

If we were more connected to each other, we would see everything as through others. We would develop not just a greater perception of reality, but it would become collective, as, for example, ten people together looking each from himself, from different points, but observing one object. How would we perceive it then, if we were tied to each other by the above-egoistic ties?

I think it would be very interesting to set up such an experiment and see what is there in our consciousness. Indeed, in fact, there are huge hidden opportunities in it, but we cannot extract them since now we are very limited in their use.

Is It Possible To Explore Our Consciousness?

228Comment: In science, there is great confusion between consciousness, reason, and intellect. Everything is piled into one heap.

My Response: Let’s try to understand these definitions. Frankly speaking, I never did this intentionally. I found my teacher at a young age, and he “bought” me with an absolutely clear, systematic approach to everything.

Comment: The problem is that for hundreds of years we have made almost no progress on this issue. Descartes, for example, searched for the soul in the brain, found the pineal gland, and said “This is the soul.” And today it is the same: consciousness is sought after in the brain.

Surprisingly, it seems that exactly in these areas there is great progress, there is tomography, a large number of tools, but we have not made any progress.

My Response: The fact is that these devices will not be able to give us any impression about the soul, about consciousness, nor about the mind.

Comment: Unfortunately, scientists continue their research in this direction. Some of them say, “Consciousness research is a waste of time.” Others feel that they have reached a dead end and can do nothing. Yet, all of them still continue to cling to a purely materialistic approach.

My Response: Kabbalah also deals with pure materialism. It says, “It is necessary to find a way to rise above our nature. Our entire nature is egoism. We must try to rise above it.”

Do we have this opportunity or not? Kabbalah says that we have it, and accordingly it gives some tools, some opportunities.

On one hand, this is, in principle, a clear, sober, materialistic approach. On the other hand, it goes against our nature, our egoistic desires. Therefore, scientists do not need it.

Within the framework of our nature, scientists agree to anything because there is a visible benefit in the place where you invest. They are willing to take risks and sacrifice themselves, but they understand this in their mind at the same level. There are well-known examples of when scientists really sacrificed their lives in dangerous experiments.

However, the average person cannot understand what Kabbalah offers. Here we need a different atmosphere, a different laboratory. Here you yourself are the laboratory.

How can we talk about the mind if we do not try to rise above it?! How can we study it?! This is clear to anyone: If I need to research something, I need to be at least a small step higher than this object of research. It is impossible to do anything without exiting yourself. Therefore, I agree with those who say that this is beyond their control.

Without the auxiliary tool that Kabbalah offers,—to extract from the surrounding world, from the field surrounding us, a force that is opposite to our nature, and make it change us, raise us above our nature to the next level—it is impossible to explore our current degree. Then we will know what the mind is and what consciousness is. It will be possible for anyone.

In the meantime, we just have to accept without proof that there is such a force that can take us to the next degree. Then from this degree, we will explore our consciousness and our mind.

Going Through This World

712.03Question: To explore spiritual reality, did you begin to understand corporeal process, their meaning and sources, at a completely different level?

Answer: You begin to understand Kabbalistic sources. I also understood corporeal sources this way, since I have a good healthy human mind. I am not Einstein, of course, but I graduated from school and university successfully, I have a doctorate, and I have engaged in different interesting research. But this has nothing to do with the wisdom of Kabbalah.

When you begin to study the wisdom of Kabbalah, a change takes place inside you.

When engaging in ordinary science a person attains and absorbs different facts that simply accumulate inside him. But when one engages in the wisdom of Kabbalah the absorption of the Kabbalistic knowledge changes a person.

Question: Does this mean that a person has a different analysis, for example, could his perspective of human history change?

Answer: Even an ordinary person’s perspective of human history can change when he engages in it. But in spirituality it is the person himself who changes. Proceeding from this, one begins to perceive, feel, and absorb everything that exists in himself in accordance with his new level. Instead of the property of receiving, it acquires the property of bestowal.

In this new property of bestowal, which manifests more and more in him, he begins to see the world in a different way: end-to-end, outside of time, space, and motion. He begins to look at the world precisely from the point of view of ever greater compactness, the mutual dependence of all the elements of creation, until he passes from matter to its inner quality and passes through this world.

Consciousness And Subjectivity Of The World

79.01Comment: Speaking about the definition of consciousness, you said that it is an image of the information field that is influencing us.

My Response: Of course, after all I am a product of this field. It comes first, and I am just a derivative.

Basically, who am I? We say that everything that exists in my sensations is what I feel, and that is why it exists. Without me it would not exist because it exists only in relation to me. It turns out that the world is absolutely subjective. Thus, we talk about ourselves as being just consciousness and nothing more.

Question: Then can we say that my consciousness works against the consciousness that is represented by the information field?

Answer: In some ways, yes because, in the end, this field wants us to use the consciousness that it creates in us to interact with it correctly.

88Question: Is the consciousness that I possess individual and the consciousness in the information field general?

Answer: Yes, it is individual until you completely equalize your consciousness with this field.

Question: Can we say that the general field induces a part of it, its image, in me?

Answer: Absolutely.

Question: Does it make sense to talk about consciousness without the subject of that consciousness?

Answer: No. In Kabbalah, this is perceived differently. According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, each of us is a desire. If we build certain counteractions to this desire, then at the same time we rise above it to the level of the field surrounding us. And then, to the extent of our similarity to this field, we begin to feel and explore its intentions, plans, and actions concerning us.

To this extent, a person becomes intelligent. And before that, we consider that he exists as a separate person. And then his consciousness is the consciousness of this field.

Question: That is, mind and consciousness are identical concepts, or is there still a difference?

Answer: Reason is much lower than consciousness because it is a processed consciousness in us. It allows us to perform certain actions that lead us to higher consciousness. That is, the mind is a mechanism, an auxiliary element that helps us rise from one level of consciousness to another.

Is It Possible To Trigger An Epiphany?

222Question: Sometimes a complex problem stumps a person. You struggle with a solution, but there is no solution. But should you get distracted, and an epiphany falls on you, everything is suddenly solved. Scientists say that almost a third of people solve problems only with the help of an epiphany.

From the point of view of biology, an insight or epiphany is the formation of a new neural connection in the brain. You can’t create it directly, but somehow, with the help of effort, distraction, by creating certain conditions, it just appears, and in a person’s mind it appears as a solution.

Do you think it is possible to cause such an epiphany?

Answer: Yes. This can be done by moral and mental exertion, by placing yourself in a certain external environment with certain people or with nature.

A person who is searching for his new spiritual state needs this illumination. He understands that there are forces around us, and he would like to invoke their influence on himself. He tries to do it.

There are even all sorts of techniques, both spiritual and scientific, that talk about how to do it. Try it.

Comment: Even quantum physics says that a person moves unevenly, but progressively, from level to level. That is, there is a jump through the potential difference, and the person moves, rises.

My Response: There is a cumulative process, and then a jump.

Question: Can an epiphany be likened to such a jump?

Answer: Yes, but this is done on a different plane, not in the mind. Not that he can order an epiphany in advance, but he makes a certain effort to do so.
