We are very limited. We study the whole universe and ourselves through our five senses, calculating our profit and loss.

This really limits us because we don’t go beyond ourselves and don’t actually see what is on the outside. Rather, we pass everything through our internal system and decide whether it makes us feel good or bad, period.

As a result, there are many phenomena that we don’t see and we don’t distinguish the many forces in our universe or in parallel universes. It is because they simply don’t interest us and don’t affect our ego, our desire to receive pleasure.

If I could identify the connection between something and my success, I would certainly study it and would discover a new phenomenon. If I don’t see such a connection, I am blind to any phenomenon.

The reason is that I don’t have a second force, the force of bestowal. I am totally made of the force of receiving.

Comment: But there are also phenomena in which we see the connection but cannot distinguish them. For example, we would very much like to know about natural disasters in advance so that we can protect ourselves from them. This is very beneficial, but we are still helpless in the face of hurricanes, earthquakes, etc.

Answer: Of course there are phenomena that we believe to exist, but they are like dark matter. We assume that they exist and that they are related to us, yet we cannot identify them. But this is a matter of research on a different level.

I, on the other hand, am speaking about a fundamental flaw in our perception, about the fact that it isn’t in our power to actually see in any way, not even theoretically or hypothetically.

If we acquired the force of bestowal, the force to exit ourselves and if we could remove the limitation of our egoistic minds and desires, we would truly and objectively study what is external to us. We would study it with an external mind and heart.

Then we could reveal whole worlds and complete the distorted and fragmented picture that we see today.

Now we seem to live in a bubble that is totally drawn inwards and collapses into itself. We see, feel, and study only what is perceived by the egoistic gravity. This is also where our universe exists, which seems so immense and infinite to us. It is all inside this small bubble of our perception.

Unless we acquire a second force that will allow us to exit the boundaries of our attributes, we will not discover what is on the outside.

We see the solar system and the planets that orbit other stars and the interesting fact is the complexity of the systems in which every part influences the others. For ages people have found different signs of these influences while looking at the sky, and these signs are true.

We have, for example, some idea of how the moon affects us. Certain phenomena are known, but we don’t have any real knowledge.

Generally speaking, many forces certainly operate and influence us and we have to keep on studying them. The influence of the universe is immense, but it is concealed from us because of our own limitations.

In fact, nothing is concealed in nature but depends on the essence of the researcher. Unfortunately, we don’t pay enough attention to this aspect. Otherwise, we would know much more about the universe, including, for example, the influence of the moon on the level of the oceans, the air, our diseases, and so on.

But no, man is attracted to what he can later use in industry, wars, etc. This kind of knowledge seems valuable to him, while celestial objects, both near and distant are beyond our control and don’t seem to offer any benefit because they don’t attract our minds and hearts and therefore don’t attract enough resources. This kind of research was considered more valuable in the past.

One of the basic elements of the universe is the law of gravity. What is it? No one knows. The nature of the force of gravity and its cause are a mystery to us.

On the whole we never know the real reasons for what we see and we only study the outcome of the phenomena that we encounter, which sums up all our science. We don’t ask why, but what and how. In other words, we learn how to use the forces of the universe, including its matter. We know how to do it in the short run, but we don’t attain and understand the main reasons, the basic nature of these forces.

But basically it is something else. Our limitation becomes a problem when we discover that without knowing the general system we cannot manage even on our small planet.

This is surprising that the still, vegetative, and animate nature don’t have questions like: “to live or die?” or “how to live?” All the creatures get along with their environment instinctively and in the best possible way without dominating and ruling it, aspiring to get the most by minimal effort. Nature contains all these levels in such a simple egoistic manner.

But man cannot get along in a similar way; man aspires to change his environment, to change others. Therefore he is forced to learn, study, explore, and advance. This internal urge is in our nature and we must provide ourselves with the necessary amount of information, options, and potential.

Besides, we have such thirst for knowing what the meaning of life is that some of us even look at the universe again and again, since it is the source of our birth. The earth is its outcome, our cradle, but in fact we come from outer space, where we began. How can we know ourselves if we don’t know our origin, the forces and the reason that formed our planet and everything that is on it, including ourselves?

If we engaged in it seriously, we would learn something, but instead we look down at our small planet like kids in a sandbox: who has more, who has succeeded and who didn’t… We refuse to accept the perspective of our evolution outside the sandbox, not in the planetary sense but in a much wider sense.

It is very important to check yourself: “What worries me?” Every moment that I feel alive and well, I am full of worries. So what do I worry about?

Am I worried about my own well-being, tranquility, achievement, what will make me happier, peace and quiet, security, food, and family welfare?

Or am I worried about friends, like a mother with a baby, searching for what they are missing and what should be done for them?  Do I worry about the group like a faithful nanny? This means I must check the intention of my worries.

The whole of creation gradually descended down to our world in which we exist in physical form and in the most inferior situation. We feel as if we are detached from the spiritual world, when in fact that can’t happen. So this world is called the imaginary world.

We suppose we exist in a vast world filled with lots of physical objects. However, in fact, it is all spiritual, but we don’t recognize or feel this.

So it is very important to check what I am worried about at every moment. Entering the spiritual world means continuing to be concerned about what is essential and vital in life: food, sleep, health, money, and relationships with people, but subconsciously, I am always troubled by the thought of how to organize the group so that it will become the Shechina (divinity), a place for discovering the Creator.

I must get used to being happy about my concern for the group. If I stop worrying about it, then I am worried about why am I not concerned about the friends. This must become habitual. In our world, habit becomes second nature.

Suppose that they give me a baby who is a stranger for whom I have no feelings. But I have no choice; I am compelled to worry about him day after day. I begin to be concerned about him and he becomes important for me. Ultimately, I begin to think about him all the time. It is the same thing in relation to the group. We must attain this state that is possible thanks only to determination and constantly returning to my thoughts about the group.

And after all these nice plans about taking care of the group, about my supporting it, attracting Light into it, about the Creator and giving Him satisfaction, I must ask myself, where He is and where I am subconsciously. I must always clarify what I am doing all this for. Certainly I hope to receive some reward, but what exactly?

It could be that in the meantime, I am not ready to imagine a reward for myself. It could be that I understand that afterward, for my effort I will demand control, respect, and transcendence of life and death, something tangible and very important for me. And here I must examine what is more important for me: Is it my reward or the ability to give satisfaction to the friends and the Creator?

Can I forego the reward, or at least part of it? And when I forego a reward, won’t I replace it with something else other than fame and the pursuit of honor?

What does it mean to give pleasure to the Creator? By what means can I do this and with which desires do I feel it? Through what will I feel that the Creator gets pleasure from me? It is necessary to try to separate my desires and perception into as many parts as possible and see how to work with them. The more parameters that I have, the more I will develop my perception.

This is like pixels on a computer screen that determine its resolution: In one square centimeter there can be two hundred pixels, there could be a thousand, or there could be ten thousand. The more points there are, the better and clearer the picture becomes.

The same thing happens also happens with our desires. The more we scrutinize them, the closer we come to the truth, to true perception.

People who study the laws of the universe feel that the entire universe is a program, a thought. The most significant feature of this system is that it is unified. All of its parts are interconnected. This is true even in the framework of our current rational minds.

Each part of the system originated by the Big Bang continues to develop in various directions, thus giving birth to a multiplicity of phenomena. However, all of its elements acted in accordance with the laws of the system.

There is no such thing as a coincidence. Lawlessness, that is so typical in human society, is not possible in the structure of the universe. Everything that exists has causes and consequences. It means that according to the law of interaction among numerous elements and forces, the after effects of the Big Bang constitute a unified, closed system.

It’s not an accident that in ancient time​s, ​people knew how to predict their destiny, foresaw ​large-scale events that occurred on the face of Earth, predicted the weather and other phenomena that took place under the earth and in the air by just looking at stars. It means that experiences over thousands of years of exploring the sky, nature, climate, and humans allowed them to trace connections that existed among all elements. They were able to create various tables that reflect numerous fields of knowledge such as astrology, astronomy, and many other sciences.

In the long run, we all are looking for connection since, knowingly or unknowingly, we acknowledge that everything that exists constitutes a unified, global system.

We admit that the progress of the universe is not just about giving birth or spreading particles of matter that still exist today. To be frank, it is our subjective perception, whereas the most important question is completely overlooked: Is it really so or is it something that we imagine in our organs of perception?

One has to judge in accordance with what one’s eyes see. So, the spreading particles started assembling in clusters. With time, the initial energy generated various types of clots and objects. It doesn’t’ matter if they were clouds of gas, stars, or planetary material, etc.. All these particles were drawn together by a force of concentration and attraction among the substances. In other words, on one hand, the process of the spreading of  elements continues, but on the other hand, they gather and bond together.

The spreading tendency is meant to fill the universe. The Big Bang created the place, i.e., the space that we consider endless (even though there is no justification of this fact). It’s as if we look into a dark hole and state that it is bottomless. The question remains: Does our universe really expand or does the inflation model only reflect our perception of it? We should always keep this nuance in mind.

The problem is that when we take measurements of the universe, we don’t add the caveat that we do it only in accordance with our human perception.

So, there is a tendency to fill the space in which the particles were created by the exploded energy according to the basic universal program. As we see, the process of creation of  matter is about particles, pieces of matter, collecting in bigger blocks and taking various forms (both positive and negative) by getting closer or disconnecting and moving farther from each other.

It goes without saying that we are simply using the terms that are a part of our current lexicon. By now, this process demonstrates a rapid dynamic that continues at a speed that is far beyond our comprehension.

We encounter many surprises when we study the physical attributes of the universe. If we first supposed that radiation and particles could not penetrate solids, we know now that this isn’t so.

The microcosm has opened a truly amazing picture before us. A lot has changed in our understanding of the universe and of man’s place in it.

What is more, it is all because we refused to follow a whole ideological approach, agreeing that we don’t understand, feel, or know the creation at all and that we have to study it from the beginning. Thus science has drawn away from religion and left its limitations, which was very helpful.

This struggle lasted for centuries and until this very day the echoes of the church and other religious institutions’ objections to a wide variety of scientific approaches are still heard. Although this study did not go along with their faith, the basic beliefs were accepted since they helped control people and things. Our knowledge of the universe is very limited, and lately we have come to the conclusion that our view of reality is partial and fragmented. Even if we would be able to grasp it as a whole, the data from research indicates that there may be parallel universes. We simply see that without assumptions, our formulas do not agree, and so we have to take this possibility into account.

Then there are questions about the connection between the universes, and about the passage from one to another on a higher level that surrounds us but which is not accessible in our perception. Otherwise our current data does not line up.

Of course, we are looking for intelligent life on other planets. In my opinion, it’s not there,  and our poor planet is the only one where intelligent beings live, polluting and ruining the still, vegetative, and animate nature.

What a wonderful planet it could be if it were simply covered with plants. We could also add a few animals, but a few people is already too much.

Seriously and generally speaking, life on this planet is indeed a rare phenomenon. For life to appear there had to be very specific combinations of different parameters and forces of nature that enabled particles to connect into new forms and to acquire new, unique attributes of procreation in the process of biological evolution. This is a totally new level compared to the rest of the universe.

Question: In our time, most people feel that time seemingly slips through their fingers. We deal with urgent, pressing matters, and the most important we leave for later. How can we use time to realize every minute optimally? Is there a concept of a “waste of time”?

Answer: Of course! But everything is relative. Humanity has been evolving throughout history for many thousands of years. The question is: Can I grow faster than my generation, accelerate time as if I jump over decades? If not, then can I successfully realize time in my generation?

I live in the time period in which I was born. Can I use this time most effectively? And what does it mean “most effectively”?

Suppose, I can fill my life by satisfying the basic desires—for food, sex, family, wealth, fame, and knowledge—inherent in every person in a certain combination, depending on what importance he attaches to each of them. This combination of six desires, defining the purpose in life, makes us different from each other.

But if we talk about the realization of my general desire in which, for example, 10% of the desire is for food, 20% – for sex, 10% – for family, 20% – for wealth, 40% – for power and knowledge, the question arises whether I stay in the same desires I was born with? We see we don’t. My aspirations depend on the society I am in, on the measure of its influence on me.

I can use my properties, inclinations, and desires according to the environment. That is, the environment influences the way in which I will use all my inclinations to achieve pleasure. Indeed, the desires for food, sex, family, wealth, honor, and knowledge are the sources of pleasure with which I want to fulfill myself. In essence, I am the desire to enjoy.

The question is how the society I exist in affects me. The surroundings can suddenly increase my desire for science, power, or money and food, sex, and the family will lose their former importance to me, and I will use them only in order to achieve fame or power. And it may happen the opposite way.

It depends how a person realizes himself in society. Although his natural inclinations are very important and over time they still direct a person to a certain niche, peculiar to him.

But there is always a struggle between the individual and society. The individual wants to realize himself as much as possible with the help of society, and the society wants to absorb the identity and use it for its own benefit as much as possible and not take into account the personalities at all. After all, the person does not have intrinsic value to society; it only matters how they are integrated in it.

If I want to manage my time, I should be developed as much as possible both in personal and social terms because only in connection between them or on their border will I find my optimal self-realization.

After all, I should feel where society is heading, what its goal is, where I am directed according to my natural inclinations, what the goal would be if I could change the entire world for my own benefit, what could be in the connection between me and society, and how I realize myself with the help of society, in which I exists.

This means that I am going to manage the time of my life, to realize it in the most effective manner.

Question: How does a Kabbalist feel our life?

Answer: A Kabbalist feels our life only as a means of entry into a higher dimension and rising on the ladder of spiritual degrees.

Everything that exists in our world and in it life itself are just a condition for further spiritual elevation. Therefore, a Kabbalist relates to our world in a practical, clear, strict way.

Of course, he can enjoy all the material things: music, literature, art, nature, etc. But inside of him, there is always a very clear directive: I do it in order to advance in the attainment of the higher world. He feels all the fragility, insignificance, and illusion of our world, and understands that it arises in his mind on purpose.

Just like the pictures that we see on the computer screen are nothing but electric signals that create images on the plasma, in the same way, various human feelings are only electric signals, nothing more. A Kabbalists understands the illusion of any material feeling: either positive or negative. He sees that all that surrounds us exists only in our perception, within us.

Therefore, he has no fear of death. He knows that his physical body must die, but the attainment of the upper world, the so-called the soul, will exist to the extent that it has been corrected while still in the body and can continue its correction further.

Today, we are slightly lifting the veil on dark matter and other phenomena, but we don’t feel them; the result is calculated from data we collect, postulating what is lacking in them.

But we don’t know the source of the forces that operate in nature, the essence of their action, and the relations between them. The very fact of their existence we perceive as a consequence, not as a given.

The main point is that everything we can learn, study, and attain is described in our five senses because at the end of a chain of experiments and research there is a human being with his five senses, with his mind and his feelings, with his imagination and his ability to build specific models and to make them into a general model of the universe. So far, of course, all these models and results his research are very limited.

Basically, we know nothing, like a little turtle that comes out of his asylum and creeps a few steps in a time span of ages. In fact, he is not very far from the bush he sat under with his head tucked under his shell. And it doesn’t know anything.

Moreover, by advancing gradually he will not discover anything either. No matter how much we develop in our current state, we will not discover anything qualitative. We can collect a massive amount of facts and data, but we will not be able to process and study them so that they would depict the general picture for us.

This is because in order to conduct true research about ourselves we have to move to a higher level, to a higher mind and heart, in other words, not depending on the three axes of time and space and on the mind and heart that we have today, but ascending above them and seeing everything in a different light, as if we are not human beings on this planet any more. Then we will attain knowing people and understanding who they are.

We need a new science in order to do that. It isn’t by chance that scientists today already acknowledge the fact that traditional science is in a crisis. Why? After all, we have enough tools, we know how to build huge complex structures, we send telescopes to orbit the earth and our microscopes and accelerators penetrate particles.

Billions are invested in scientific research, but eventually the benefits of such studies turns out to be an illusion to such an extent that we even mock scientists who seem to be satisfying their natural curiosity at the expense of the tax payer.

We don’t regard science as seriously as we used to, especially when our essence, our ego, ruins all its fruits. After all, we use science in order to dominate one another and to profit at the expense of another, so it is actually almost impossible to find any good fruits on this tree.

The wisdom of Kabbalah, in contrast to other wisdoms, investigates the highest internal matter, the desire that is on the human level.

Desires on the still, vegetative, and animate levels appear to us in this world. We can investigate, understand, and use them. On the basis of investigating them, we create a science.

But there is no science that investigates desire on the human level. Psychology tries to reach this, yet unsuccessfully. Why? Because the investigator must be on a higher level than that object, the subject, which is being investigated.

Being a person in this world, I can explore inanimate matter (physics, chemistry and the like), the vegetative (botany) and animate matter (biology, zoology, etc). After all, I am standing on a higher level.

However, the matter of the human level, our inner world, cannot be investigated from our level. And so psychology and psychiatry are devoid of a real, solid, scientific basis.

But with the help of the wisdom of Kabbalah we can create this basis, and thanks to this, we can more truly and objectively investigate all the rest of the lower strata of the still, vegetative and animate levels. For now, we have the opportunity of taking into account the mistakes and errors in the investigations of the nature of these lower levels, where we make distortions generated by our own human nature.

So the wisdom of Kabbalah, is specifically a science in the full sense of the word, and it is much more precise than other sciences. For with it we investigate the substance of creation, the desire to receive, on the levels of the still, vegetative, animate, and speaking, and we use a unique apparatus called the Upper Light.

When physicists study matter in a particle accelerator, they induce collisions and observe their results.

And so with us, it is the same thing: The Light comes and makes a collision, meaning that it carries out a Zivug de Hakaa (coupling with striking). First the collision is made and after that, the coupling. With the help of this experiment, we examine and learn about what is happening in the encounter between the desire to receive and the desire to bestow, between the Creator and creation.

We cannot say that a person knows himself, not to mention humanity in general. As a result we cannot know this world, which is the entirety of all the levels: still, vegetative, animate, and human.

We cannot, primarily because we do not know ourselves. We have to admit the fact that even psychology isn’t a science in the true sense. A person’s essence always remains an enigma to us. We see the outcome and the consequences of different processes on ourselves by our reactions to something and we study them in a very limited manner as we are dependent on and biased in our assessments.

Moreover, we are helpless when we want to ascend to a higher level—the one that created us—and even higher to the plan of creation. Judging by different events and by our own personal experience while advancing, we see that all the forces of nature are in one system that is whole and integral. These forces operate according to certain processes and are operated according to a certain general plan that we know nothing about but are included in.

But the natures of the still, vegetative, and animate fulfill the plan instinctively, by the command of nature’s orders, while we, along with the feeling that we are involved in it, there is a sense of having our own actions.

If we could approach the study of nature based on these two feelings, we could perhaps attain something. But science on the whole is not engaged in research of the human level because we have no real means to measure it.

Consequently, we only observe what is happening, and this is the essence of our studies. We observe, collect data, and establish a system of scientific knowledge. In addition, we use our modest options to influence the various phenomena and states of still, vegetative, and animate nature, as well as man, and observe the reaction that allows us to understand something.

Even if we ignore the fact that all our observations and studies are based on our subjective perception.the results are still a summary that, in essence, give us little. After all, they are derived by our five limited senses.

By studying the flora and fauna, we can see the range of our perception, but these results are uncertain, we compare them with ourselves and not the present standard. Our three-dimensional sight, the beat of our pulse, the movement of sun and the moon that measure a day, geological eras and the age of the universe, are all very subjective measures.

Thus, our desire to know the universe is actually not too serious. A person is like a child who attributes unrealistic abilities to himself. Eventually we use only the forces of nature that we can reach. We collect and present them in simple drawings and use them according to our abilities.

We do not differ greatly from prehistoric man who used a stick in order to build or to destroy. Our sticks are a bit different: particle accelerators, observatories, etc., but the principle is the same. We are just like babies who want to touch everything and put them into their mouths, but we are just on another level.

We are not even aware of how limited we are. Here and there we discover that nature is much broader and deeper, but we don’t know to where and how it expands. We cannot penetrate into the higher dimensions or exit our three-dimensional frame: the coordinates of time, motion. and space.
