Comment: Today anti-Semitism has changed its face. If before it spoke about Jews, now they speak principally about their nation. The Second World War and the Nazi regime put into question and challenged the idea of anti-Semitism, because now anti-Semitism is identified solely and only with Auschwitz, Buchenwald, etc.

Answer: This doesn’t bother anyone. There is no problem in repeating the same scenario that existed at the time of the Second World War. That anti-Semitism is now directed against the nation of Israel is basically only a cover. After all, we see how among all the nations of the world, under this mask, speeches and taunts are taking place against the Jews that live there.

Comment: But today nobody can proclaim with pride that he is an anti-Semite anymore.

Answer: Soon this will also be popular, and all kinds of aristocrats will elevate their image with this. There is no difference between anti-Semitism and hatred towards the nation of Israel. Everything depends only on one question: is this a political or social problem? They are connected together.

Comment: In the year 2014, an additional international poll was conducted regarding the attitude towards the nations of the world. Among a multitude of questions, it was proposed to say which nation is the biggest danger to the world. Israel overtook Iran in most of the items and found itself in first place!

Answer: I am happy to hear this. People subconsciously understand from where the force that is prepared to change their future is derived. This is very good; this says that it is possible to explain to them why such an inner unconscious determination exists in them. When I raise this subject in my lectures abroad, I feel that people are beginning to understand what sums up their special attitude towards Israel and the Jews.

In fact, very few people in the world think about the nation of Israel and about what is happening there. For a person who is living somewhere in a remote settlement in Russia, America, or Europe, this nation generally doesn’t matter. He is not a political person but a simple citizen, so his attitude is not in regard to the nation, but in regard to the people. More correctly, it is not even in regard to the people, but in regard to what he regards as the cause of all his troubles and problems.

Comment: Recently the United Nations published a report about the right to conduct a war between Israel and the Gaza Strip. And again Israel was faced with the question: what is to be done? How can one explain to the world who is justified and who is to blame?

Answer: There is nothing to be done; the world will blame the Jews anyway. They can present all kinds of arguments, but the world will answer: “I don’t believe it!”

Question: In Israel, on the political level, there exists what is called a “public relations department.” If you were to manage this department, what would you explain to the world?

Answer: I would explain to everyone the mission, the role, of the Jewish people: Why it was created, why it exists. The world needs to know that among the many billions who have lived throughout humanity, a special group of people appeared that rose above the laws of physics and nature; they have a special destiny and they constantly demonstrate the possibility of connection and union to the world, either correctly or incorrectly. This group shows the world what it must attain, even though it isn’t found on this level itself.

Question: Along with this, it arouses sympathy on the one hand, and on the other hand, contempt, hatred, and a desire to annihilate it. Where does all of that come from; where must it go?

Answer: It is imperative for everyone to understand that this is not a nation but a group of people who must unite among themselves according to the natural law, “And you shall love your friend as yourself” and show everyone the right connection between them. Humanity must reach this state, and then it will begin to rise to the next dimension. This world is finite, limited in its existence, and our senses have already exhausted themselves. We must rise to the next level.

This is talked about by all the religions that are derived from the wisdom of Kabbalah: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The prophets predicted this, and we see that everything is materializing. We must explain to the world that we are in fact an example for the whole world, even though in the meantime it has been an unsuccessful example. We must become the teachers of the world, meaning that we must unite among ourselves to provide the world with an example of how it will be possible for the whole world to do this together. It requires this and it is specifically here that the origin of the hatred towards us is concealed; it is because we haven’t brought unity to the world.

If we were to succeed in showing humanity that it must live as one people with one heart, that through unity and not through ego the next level of existence which is called the Upper World is revealed, then we would win such love, such recognition, that would have no equal in the world.

Question: What is your opinion about the growing blunt anti-Semitism even on university campuses in America?

Answer: There is only one thing I can suggest: study the wisdom of Kabbalah, which will explain the reason for what is happening. They can at least read my article in the New York Times published on September 20, 2014. The path of our development is predefined and predetermined and we only have to try to be compatible with it in order to feel good.

I advise and wish the Jewish students to explore and study the development of humanity (see our site) and to follow the frameworks of our nation in fulfilling its mission. Just like everyone, both the Jews and the other nations each have the path that was designated especially for them by nature, and by following it we avoid great sufferings, which are nearing us at an alarming speed.

We are in a special time now called Bein Hameitzarim, the three weeks from the 19^th of Tamuz until the ninth of Av. This period is known throughout history as difficult times for the nation of Israel, but let’s hope that, this year, we will be able finally to correct it so that this period no longer will bring about different disasters as in the past.

Question: How can unfortunate events be related to a certain time?

Answer: Everything that happens in our world stems from the hidden of forces of nature that we don’t feel. We only feel the outcome of their actions, but we actually don’t reveal these forces.

If we speak about electricity, for example, it means that we see how different electrical appliances work or someone gets an electrical shock. Thus, we find that the network has power.

This is also how we discover the force of gravity, according to the outcome of its actions. If an apple falls on my head, I can say that there is a special force that is called the force of gravity.

We never discover the actual forces. There is an entire network of forces around us, starting from subatomic forces inside tiny atoms and molecules and ending with cosmic forces that operate between the stars and the planets in the universe. Everything that we see is a result of the actions of different forces. Every force can be discovered only according to the outcome of its influence on matter. Why does the earth revolve? It means that there is a force that revolves it. All of the planets revolve as a result of a network of forces that set these cosmic objects in motion.

However, we need the wisdom of Kabbalah in order to discover the actual forces because it tells us about the forces that are behind matter, including the forces that are behind man, forces that manage the calendar. We can see all of the forces behind each day and behind each revolution of the earth on its axis and every revolution it makes around the sun. Humanity has accumulated data from different experiments and has made tables as in any scientific field, according to which this period is considered especially unfortunate.

However, the wisdom of Kabbalah is called the wisdom of truth because it tells us the reason for everything that happens. It tells us why the calendar is arranged this way, why the earth revolves around the sun, and why man was created this way and how he is related to others.

If we discover a certain phenomenon, we investigate it through ordinary scientific tools. The wisdom of Kabbalah, on the other hand, tells us about hidden phenomena and forces, and therefore is called the concealed wisdom, the secret wisdom, since it tells us the secrets of creation.

Question: Is war a search for connection between people?

Answer: When people cannot reach agreement between them, they don’t just distance themselves from each other, but begin all kinds of conflicts. This means that if there is not a good connection, it becomes a bad connection.

So, both civil wars and wars between nations are a search for some kind of connection, either good or bad, but all of us are egoists. We cannot determine some kind of defined general rules between us, some kind of connecting formula. and war helps us with this.

The fact that in the 20^th century wars became international indicates that the entire world is searching for union because it must reach a global state, back to its roots.

Question: But humanity assumes the opposite, that war is a severing of connection.

Answer: No, along with this, some kind of particular transformation of order happens. We Jews, unfortunately, are a type of egoist such that we still are not ready to move from ego to union immediately.

The connection between all of the peoples who are in conflict must be discovered as a result of our work. If the people of Israel won’t show an example of connection and union, then only one thing is left: war. Then, all of the people blame us that all of the wars in the world happen because of the Jews. And this is correct because we aren’t making it possible for them to unite among themselves. This is because the glue that connects all of humanity together, which is the characteristic of bestowal and love, is only found with us.

Moses’s arguments persuaded Jethro to leave his children in the camp of the Jews. The grandchildren of Jethro entered the land of Israel, and as Moses promised, they received the fertile lands of Jericho and its surroundings.

Ultimately, they became prominent masters of knowledge in Torah. The descendants of Jethro became famous as the leaders of the Sanhedrin, teaching Torah to the entire community of Israel (Midrash Mesaper, Parshat Beha’alotcha).

Those among the nations of the world who had the greatest egoistic desires and succeeded in correcting them became the greatest of the generation. They became higher and greater than the leaders of the tribes, as in the example of Rabbi Akiva.

According to its root, Israel is Galgalta ve Eynayim, the easiest and purest desires that cannot absorb the Light of Hochma into them, whereas the nations of the world, when they receive this method from Israel and correct themselves, they discover a very great Light of Hochma. So, it is written, “If someone says that there is wisdom among the gentiles, believe it” (Eicha Rabbah 2:13) because it exists in a stage of correction.

The nations of the world who attain the concept of “Israel” join the people of Israel to become a bridge for their people. Israel itself cannot become such a bridge since to do this it would have to become AHP de Aliyah, which is an ascent from below to above.

So, it is imperative to disseminate the wisdom of Kabbalah to the entire world.

Question: Why are the customs of the Jews so different from those of other peoples?

Answer: The reason is in the attitude, the meaning of existence. With the Jews it is the discovery of the Creator, the upper world, eternal movement.

And from here is derived the amazing difference in burial. With all the peoples the person continues his earthly existence after death, so together with him are sent all kinds of things from his earthly life to the world after death: tools, clothes, money, jewelry, servants and so forth.

With the Jews burial is simple, only simple white clothes, the same for everyone, for the poor and for the rich. The person doesn’t take anything with him except the deeds that he did. This shows the attitude in Judaism towards life and death, and from here also are the reasons for differences in the rest of the customs.

This is because the Jewish people were created and appeared for spiritual reasons, motives, and goals; they were created artificially, taking upon themselves an “unearthly” law of love of others. The rest of the peoples were created and appeared naturally, from families, tribes, with their natural egoistic development.

Moses and the Receiving of the Torah

Babylonians who rejected Abraham’s methodology spread around the earth, to all countries. Abraham’s group left Babylon and went to the land of Canaan. Then, they descended to Egypt and then again returned to Canaan, which later became the land of Israel.

Abraham’s group underwent numerous troubles. The main mission of the group was to transfer the methodology of connection when the time comes to the Babylonians, i.e., to the entire world.

After Abraham, several generations of Kabbalists emerged: Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, and finally Moses. They revealed the ways of the practical implementation of the methodology. Moses elevated Abraham’s group to a new level of unity called “the receiving of the Torah.”

They had to unite at a higher level to reach a “mountain of hatred,” Mount Sinai, instead of the Tower of Babel. For that, they had to refer to a much more powerful force. Should they succeed, the methodology named “the Torah” would be disclosed to them.

The Torah is the wisdom of Kabbalah that pursues the Creator’s revelation to the creations in this world. The Torah discloses the connecting network that unites us with each other through benevolent relationships, warmth, and mutual affection. The main principle of the Torah, “love thy neighbor as thyself,” should lead us from loving the created beings to loving the Creator.

Moses disclosed the methodology to the people of Israel who went through Egyptian exile and gained tremendous egoism from being in the exile. Their selfishness reached a much higher degree than of those who were associated with the Tower of Babel. The Tower of Babel plus egoism accrued in Egypt transformed to Mount Sinai (hatred), thus they got a chance to work on Mount Sinai by improving connections between them.

After revealing the enormous system of nature, the people of Israel realized that their mission was to correct the reality and humanity including the Babylonians from whom they once ran away.

Correction happens in two steps: the first step is to elevate the people of Israel to the height at which they become one man with one heart. This work is called “forty years of wondering in the desert.”

After this phase, the people of Israel reach a state of such a great unity that building the type of connection called “the Temple” becomes possible. The Temple stands for the vessel of sanctity for the sake of bestowal and mutual love.

The vessel is called The Temple (the house of sanctity); divinity is bestowal and love. However, the people were unable to maintain a level this high for more than one instant; they immediately fell from this level.

The great love and unity they attained for one short moment collapsed. People split into hostile groups that confronted each other.

They continued to fall even lower until Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the Temple. This is not about ruining some building in Jerusalem; rather, it was about hostile egoistic forces that smashed unity among the people of Israel.

They reached a wonderful state of unity. Inside it they revealed the system of the higher governance that rules the entire universe. All of a sudden, the beautiful rounded structure started rotting, deteriorating and exploding. Big groups detached from the people of Israel: the Sadducees (Tzdokim), K’tzinim (nobility), and others.

As a result, unity collapsed. The Jews became strangers to each other as if they were already spread among other nations, as it is written in Megillat Esther. However, they remembered that they were united at some point in the history, but this fact vanished and wasn’t important to them anymore.

The situation worsened. Historic process, i.e., the system of the upper governance they were previously familiar with, didn’t let them stay at the same stage forever. The first man Adam, together with Kabbalists who followed him, discovered that the world has to reach unity again.

It is written in the Prophets: “Everybody will know Me; My house will become the House of Prayer for all nations. Everybody will unite. The wolf shall dwell with the lamb.” The world should attain unity and harmony that includes all these states. This level is called the Third Temple.

In the news (inosmi.ru): “Within a single day the Hamas organization was removed from the list of terrorist organizations and the European parliament adopted a declaration in support of a Palestinian state. By blaming Israel, the people of Europe are released from feelings of guilt about genocide. Such is the process of ‘purification.’

“If the nation of Israel is implementing ‘Nazi’ activities regarding the Palestinians, then the German and European crimes are no longer so monstrous. Two types of service for the price of one: ‘Purification’ from guilt and old anti-Semitism.

“Simultaneously the weight of a group possessing several million Muslim immigrants has grown in Europe, having become an electoral resource for local politicians. They dictate anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli politics to the parties of the Left, who are interested in their voices.

“And the Leftist Israeli politicians, who are suffering from an exile complex, take upon themselves the guilt that is imposed by the European anti-Semites, and that is how they justify European evil, by creating an alibi for it.”

My Comment: And yet, the Jews are guilty! Because everything that is happening in the world depends only on them! This is because only they have the freedom of choice to change the direction of human development. The Jews must understand and evaluate correctly what is happening; they are still able to change the development of the world from a direction that leads to world war to a direction that leads to a world that is good for everyone.

The period of time between the 17^th of Tammuz and Tisha B’Av (the 9^th of Av) is considered to be the most difficult period of the year. There is no mysticism about this. There are simply “forces of judgment” and “forces of mercy” in nature. These three weeks until Tisha B’Av, which are called “The Three Weeks” are a time in which the forces of judgment are particularly at work.

These are forces that place before us particularly great demands for correction, clarification, and introspection. But since we are not ready for this and are unable to transform these forces of judgment into forces of kindness and mercy, we feel particular pressure at this time, many problems and all kinds of punishments.

Question: There are people who are afraid to go to the sea with their children at this time. Is this fear justified?

Answer: There are pleasant, good, and desirable periods, and there are unpleasant, bad, and undesirable periods. The best time is Purim. This is the symbol of the completion of correction, which is called the “coming of the Messiah.” However, when we correct ourselves, the unpleasant and bad three weeks before Tisha B’Av become the most successful period.

Tisha B’Av is considered to have been the worst day for Jews throughout all of history because on specifically this day the First and Second Temples were destroyed, the Jews were expelled from Spain, and a multitude of other disasters happened, and in spite of all this, we can transform this day into the best day.

Question: Couldn’t it be that this is simply a self-fulfilling prophecy because we expect their unpleasantness?

Answer: It is not a self-fulfilling prophecy. This is talking about the activity of forces that existed even before the appearance of humans on the face of the earth.

These forces prepare themselves for such activity, even in the upper worlds, that later becomes materialized in our world, the lowest and worst of all the worlds. The forces of judgment and forces of mercy were created in nature from the start. These are the left and right lines, and the person is in the middle. If we can tilt the world in the direction of compassion and kindness, then we correct all these bad forces, all the judgments, all the unpleasant situations, into good situations.

But this is possible only on condition that we connect and unite. Otherwise, we have no possibility of doing this. So, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” is considered to be the general and essential law of the Torah, which includes within it all of our corrections, all of the actions that we must carry out in this world.

We cannot only stop the forces of judgment, but also transform their action into something good. They will become forces of good, much better than those forces that now seem to us as good that spoil and pamper us.

Nature is preparing terrible disasters for us for the next ten years. This summer Europe has been damaged by terrible heat that reached 50 degrees centigrade. At the same time, scientists predict a decrease in solar activity and the arrival of a new ice age.

If man himself corrects the forces of judgment and transforms them to good, he can use them to direct their action, with the help of all of humanity to correct all of humanity, the entire world, ranging from relationships between people to the climate, all natural disasters: typhoons, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and more.

The Midrash “Behaalotcha,”: Jethro, however, insisted on a return to Midian. I have an urgent reason to go back there – he explained to Moshe. – Not only did I leave in Midian all my possessions but I want to teach the Torah to all my family and those friends that I left at home, and to convert them to my faith.

In addition, the year when I left was a year of drought. I borrowed money from different people in order to support the poor. If I do not return, my debtors will think that I’m trying to avoid retribution.

Think about the fact that I am needed in Midian, not here.

If we interpret the above paragraphs in the language of correction, it will mean that anything one ever consumes egoistically has to be corrected. Everything happens inside us and we are the ones who make calculations only with ourselves.

Only because we once already used certain types of desires do we have a chance to refer to them again. However, this time we have the Torah with the help of which we can correct our ego, otherwise it’s impossible to return to the prior states.

Jethro’s trip to Moses was necessary because he had to take Moses’s energy and then go back. By doing so, Jethro corrected the way the people of Israel were arranged by splitting them in tens, hundreds, and thousands.

Jethro knew where and why he was going since his mission was to correct the place where he was a leader (master). In other words, anyone who comes to an understanding of what Israel is acknowledges the reason why they aspired to reach this understanding: to acquire the knowledge for the sake of bringing it to the people and correcting them. Then, through Israel, the knowledge spreads to other nations of the world from above.
