Question: So, do they in some sense do this kind of work as well?

Answer: Of course, they do. They are the angels of God. They are directing us to the cliff so that we will finally understand that we need to change. But they themselves are doing God’s work. They are representatives of the Creator on earth.

Question: Does the Creator have to lead us to this cliff?

Answer: Yes, so that we fulfill our purpose. And they help Him in this.

Question: What is our purpose?

Answer: Recognition of the evil of human nature. You will see that it is absolutely opposite to the Creator, and you will wish to be as close to Him as possible. Then you will begin to develop spiritually and ascend.

Question: There are different types of connections between people in the world. What is the difference between them and Kabbalistic connection? Why don’t they work the same way as in Kabbalah?

Answer: Because that is not the kind of connection that attracts the upper light.

There are many connections in the world. Various socialist, national socialist, Nazi, communist, collective farms, kibbutzes, and other unions do not attract the upper light, which would correct and elevate people. These connections are located and end at the earthly level.

And for spiritual connection, it is necessary to attract the upper light. Otherwise, all our efforts and attempts will end at the degree of this world. We see how any currents arise, be they fanatical, religious, social, political, or whatever. They flare up and extinguish. Each has its own expiration date. But all of them are slowly forming humanity, which is working out its social resource.

And all these movements, wave after wave, gradually lead humanity to despair. Who believes in any movements today, in new parties? Everyone understands that all this is a corrupt thing, all this is from egoism, all this will end if not today then tomorrow, just wait.

We see that everything is getting old. Even such fundamentalist movements in which billions of people are involved and which feed each other with fanaticism, hatred, and irritate themselves from the inside, still slowly slide off their peak and can’t do anything about it because egoism takes its toll. Its form should be transformed into the final one.

These currents do not understand that the final form is set and they will still be obliged to come to it. So they are not going anywhere! As a result, all their plans will be ruined.

Question: We are, in principle, aware that nature is harmonious. Even at school, we study all kinds of food chains and we see how one is connected to the other. The science of bionics was based on this where I look and seemingly copy what I see in nature.

For example, helicopters were probably created because dragonflies were seen. They saw birds and planes were created; they saw beetles and cars were created.

Why does it all come down to cars turning into tanks and all our scientific achievements, one way or another, go toward armament?

Answer: Because in order to take examples from nature and create them, we need naturalists and scientists who are interested to recreate what is in nature into mechanics.

But then other people come who do not care about nature, and they want to use these mechanics in order to conquer, control, and enforce. And this is the end of all good intentions.

Question: We take something positive from nature, build out of it what is necessary for our life, but all this, one way or another, is then taken away by bad uncles and made into weapons of war. Why?

Answer: Because that is our nature.

Question: Why are we giving it to them? Why do we agree?

Answer: Because they know how to cheat. They are in power, they have an army, strength, and money, they have everything. And such people that are naive and kind who just want to understand how the world works, they have nothing but their brains and weak hands.

Question: Is this the fate of our world? Fate is such that everything, one way or another, will go there?

Answer: Yes. Until we correct human nature.

Question: We started with the fact that nature is harmonious and everyone understands this. Why don’t we draw from the harmony of nature? We copy what it created and create something for ourselves. And why doesn’t something from that harmony enter into us from the basis of nature that is harmonious?

Answer: We cannot keep this harmony. We are not able to detect it, see it, and study it. We cannot imitate it.

Question: Because we are the opposite of it?

Answer: Yes.

Remark: But we get knowledge about it.

Answer: So what if I know that this is how nature works; I cannot abide by it.

Question: And how do we make this into the main thing? First take the harmony of nature, then all the technical inventions.

Answer: And for what? Why should I take some of the laws of nature and its opportunities in order to give to others, in order to spread good? Why do I need this?

Remark: I need to command and rule.

My Response: Oh! To do this, I will study everything, and my egoism will push me and give me all the opportunities.

Question: So this is our nature?

Answer: Of course.

Question: Then why do you always appeal to another nature?

Answer: I want to change a person!

Question: How? After all, that is our nature.

Answer: No, it is possible to change. And then we will really do everything according to nature—the kind, upper nature.

Question: Then we will go to this kind upper nature before we create something?

Answer: Of course. We will first correct ourselves, and only then we will take something from nature and imitate—truly imitate it.

Since the whole world is in mutual connection, and I am just a small cogwheel in the general system, I am obliged to take care of everyone, and not just in words, but in deeds.

After all, we must rise above all our differences and connect. We are all very different, but it is like a machine where each cogwheel turns at its own speed and in its own direction, but each performs its own special role in order for the machine to work.

The main thing is not to cause damage to one another, but to try together to maintain the work of a common mechanism. This should be the main law of social existence, and this is how we will reach final correction. In the final correction, everyone will be turning in different directions, everyone will be fully expressing themselves relative to everyone, and then this common mechanism will reach the complete connection.

The correction does not mean that one defeats the other in war, but that each one defeats himself in order to connect with others in a nice way and to complete each other. According to this condition, we can see how far we have progressed toward the final correction.

To the extent that every country, every nation, and every person wants to connect with others, to work together day by day on the connection, to cooperate in trade and industry and the exchange of natural resources, that is, to help each other, they will succeed.

Why should we fight if we can provide each other with everything we need by combining forces, means, and resources? War does not bring anything good to anyone. We should fight against war.

Our world is a closed and interconnected system, and it can move forward successfully without wars, troubles, and problems, without hunger and death, all of which are growing more and more. It all depends on good connection between people.

We think that we need connections only for the development of trade and industry. But these are only successes visible to the eye. In fact, through connection we awaken the upper light and it begins to act. As a result, from some small piece of land we can suddenly get a harvest that is enough to feed the whole world. Everything depends on the blessing, on the upper light that blesses our work.

Therefore we must put all our efforts into connection because only connection will bring us a blessing. The entire well-being of the country depends on the relations between people.

Question: You say that everyone has their own purpose. How can Jews see Arabs as an important element; they are not just brothers for them, but enemies as well?

Answer: I do not think this is a serious feud. There can be no great enmity between these religions. I know from the sources that there should be a confrontation. It is said that at the end of the days of the world, at the moment when it begins to improve, the Arabs will be at enmity with the Jews, hate them, hate the entire world, and want to subjugate it.

There is a book in our archive in which the sayings of all the prophets are collected.

The prophets are people who lived mainly at the time of the First Temple, even before the exile to Babylon 2,800 years ago. They wrote the book Prophets (Nevi’im), which together with the Torah and Holy Scriptures (Ktuvim) make up the Tanakh.

The prophets that lived in the period 600-800 years BC, closer to our era, wrote about events that will happen in the future, because, based on the upper structure everything was clear to them. This has been known to all Kabbalists since the time of Abraham, but only the prophets have stated it.

They predicted that there will be a long period of confrontation between Islam and Christianity, they would fight cruelly, but in the end, they would turn against Israel together. Then, oddly enough, they will start wars.

But we are talking about spiritual wars. To what extent they will manifest in the matter of our world is unknown. It depends on us, whether we will need such blows to begin to change ourselves and show the world the way it should be. It also depends on freewill and on the way the Jews will react.

I hope that we are preparing the ground so that this does not happen. Already today we can change the entire world for the better.

Yet, in general, the prophets describe very bad problems that must necessarily happen in the spiritual world. Whether they will happen in corporeality depends on us, to the extent that we will be running ahead of our internal change it will not be needed externally.

According to the thought of creation, to its structure, there should be a confrontation between three lines: the right (Islam), the left (Christianity), and the middle line (Judaism). All of them must change, rise to their spiritual source, and unite there in their one single source. This is Abraham.

Abraham is the upper Partzuf Hesed, that is, the highest detail in the upper scheme, which should correct the entire world, which is the entire former Babylon.

In his time, Abraham was able to correct only one node of the general system of the universe, that is, only a part of Babylon, which left together with him.

After all this perturbation for 4,000 years, Abraham’s group underwent tremendous preparation. The entire world, that is, the entire former Babylon, which has dispersed all over the world, has also undergone very big changes. Now the same force called Abraham, with his disciples, meaning us, can correct and show the world its correct state.

Today it is quite possible to explain and express this since there already is a basis. I believe that over the years of the existence of Bnei Baruch, we have already created it. There may be a few finishing touches missing, but they will always seem to be missing. It is always possible to improve and adapt the methodology for the masses more and more. Our entire work is to understand and feel, that is, to reveal the general system of all of humanity and how much we are connected and dependent on each other.

It seems to us that we are not affected by what happens on the other side of the earth, whether in Australia or in America. But with respect to the general system of the world, we are arranged in such a way that there is a connection between all people even though we do not see it.

The world is arranged in a perfect way. Only we people constantly kill each other and fight without trying to establish good and correct relations and bring society to a perfect, circular form like the planet Earth. By this we distance ourselves from correction, from a good life in attainment of the absolute goodness of the upper force of nature.

We need to take into account the law of nature according to which we are all connected, all dependent on each other, and everyone is obliged to take care of everyone, to take care of absolutely all the inhabitants of this world. Until we achieve such a connection in practice, we will suffer. The longer we reject such a connection, the more our suffering will increase.

Humanity is developing and thinks that life will get better because of technological and scientific progress and culture. But if we do not establish good relations between us, we will not establish a good life; rather, we will fall into increasingly unpleasant states, up to a third and fourth nuclear world wars that Baal HaSulam writes about.

Therefore, in order not to come to such troubles, we should hurry up and explain to the whole world that correction lies only in building a good connection between everyone.

We must come to a state where we understand that correct mutual connection is an absolutely necessary condition for our existence. Gradually, this should become clearer. The world is approaching very difficult, critical times. We are facing battles with climate disasters, wars between nations, and famine.

We see that even now the Egyptian plagues are already happening one by one: “blood, frogs, and lice”—all these blows that took place in ancient Egypt should now be revealed all over the world.

But they are given to us not only for suffering, but so that through them we will discover that the only solution to emerge from this suffering is connection and mutual support. Let’s hope that we will be able to explain this to everyone, and in this way escape the danger of a third and fourth world war.

Question: Our time is filled with disinformation and lies. It is said that disinformation arises in conditions of political disillusionment, economic crisis, or social turmoil. Today all these factors are evident. In addition there is the Internet where lies can be manipulated. There are companies that can promote it and shape public opinion.

There is a feeling that we live inside misinformation and lies only. Is this feeling correct?

Answer: Yes. But it is controlled by the Creator.

Question: Not by these scribblers?

Answer: The Creator controls the hands and minds of people. He placed us inside a complete disinformation and called it “this world.” Therefore, do not take people seriously.

Let all these scribblers write. Humanity must exist somehow. Therefore the Creator invented all sorts of positions.

Question: Should we at least try to distinguish disinformation and lies from veracity, from truth? Do we need to search for them at all?

Answer: They do not exist, neither one nor the other.

Question: Then the question is: Why did He do it?

Answer: In order for us to get tired of this state so much that we would just want to get out of it by all possible means. This is all.

Question: A parable of Baal HaSulam speaks about a worm inside a worm-eaten apple that thinks: “This is my world.”

Suddenly he gets out and says: “It turns out there is another world!” Is this us who are inside this apple? How can we get out? How can we see the real world?

Answer: It is impossible for a simple person (“simple” meaning ordinary). It is impossible, only out of billions of people.

However there are individual souls who have already matured out of billions of souls, and they are able to hear the call, and like this worm to move toward the exit from the worm-eaten apple.

Question: When he moves to the exit of the worm-eaten apple, does he pave the way for other worms?

Answer: This is none of his business. He does not even know that he is going, how he is going, or where he is going.

Question: Is it unknown where I am going and how I am going?

Answer: Why do you need to know that? What for?

Comment: Toward the light. As they usually say.

My Response: Toward what light?! You would not go toward the light.

Comment: I am used to existing inside this apple.

My Response: In a place where it is dark and dry, this is where you need to be. The rotting apple is sweet.

Question: Does it mean that the desire to get out is given to a person from above? Is he not doing it all by himself? Not through his own efforts?

Answer: No. How could a person do this? Even later when he already understands how he is being controlled, he sees that absolutely none of it is performed by him.

Question: Everything we are doing inside the worm-eaten apple—all our actions, all our economic programs, our wars, the construction of all sorts of new worlds and formations throughout all these centuries and all these years—is this all inside a rotten apple?

Answer: This is in order to accumulate within us a sufficient rotting layer so that later we can still eat it when we leave the “apple.” In short, we will get out and see.

This is when we find out that while being in this “wormy apple,” we surely cannot be guided by other principles, but only by the nature that is within us. That is, we are guided by little egoism, small pleasures, and we continue to grow in this until we create this compost around us.

Question: So I create it all and then does it not even depend on me that I reached out at least a little to get out, that I have already eaten enough of it all and would like to get out of there? After all, there is another world besides this apple.

Answer: The Creator does it if He wishes. He will direct you a little.

Question: Is there some kind of request coming from me to the Creator to direct me? Does He respond to this request when it really matures?

Answer: If this is a true request in a group with other “worms,” then yes.

Question: Is the most important thing to really come to this? Is that why He keeps us in this can?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Why is there so much misinformation about the Creator?

Answer: There are two things: first because He controls everything and everyone. and second because we do not know anything about who He is, what He is, and what He does. Therefore you can do whatever you want indefinitely. And everyone from the point of view of their level of information, from their point in the heart, will be saying anything they want to you.

Question: So I, as an ordinary person, will be choosing. According to what do I choose this or that path to the Creator?

Answer: According to what is more pleasant for your egoism. So that “the worm” would profit.

This helps us go through all the states relatively quickly and to begin to distinguish the state in which there is something new, fresh, and completely unexpected for us, the state that we can select from among all other states to make a new level of existence out of, to approach the exit from this rot.

Question: Does it mean that there still is some hope?

Answer: Not hope, but an absolutely accurate future. If I adhere to this, then here it is already in front of us.

Answer: Of course it is possible. I am sure it can even happen in our time. Everything depends on us because the situation is ripe.

Our generation is called the last generation in Kabbalistic sources because it has already matured enough to realize its correct state and understand that we will never be able to achieve anything good with our egoism; we see that our children will be even more unhappy than we are. We see this in what is happening in the world.

The only thing we need to do is to discover what happiness and the real purpose of development of humanity depends on and go toward it. Kabbalah explains this. Let us start implementing it.

In the News (“Flawed AI Makes Robots Racist, Sexist”): “A robot operating with a popular internet-based artificial intelligence system consistently gravitates to men over women, white people over people of color, and jumps to conclusions about peoples’ jobs after a glance at their face.

“The work, led by Johns Hopkins University, the Georgia Institute of Technology, and University of Washington researchers, is believed to be the first to show that robots loaded with an accepted and widely used model operate with significant gender and racial biases. …

“‘The robot has learned toxic stereotypes through these flawed neural network models,’ said author Andrew Hundt, a postdoctoral fellow at Georgia Tech who co-conducted the work as a Ph.D. student working in Johns Hopkins’ Computational Interaction and Robotics Laboratory. ‘We’re at risk of creating a generation of racist and sexist robots, but people and organizations have decided it’s OK to create these products without addressing the issues.’

Question: What do you think about this experience? It upset the scientists.

Answer: What do scientists understand? And the robot is smart. It saw what lies at the heart of humanity. Every nation has its own internal direction. And that is why the robot said it correctly.

Comment: But that is not good…

My Response: You cannot do anything. You can fix it only over a long period of time.

Question: So you think that this is inherent in a person and that is why the robot recognized this?

Answer: Yes. There are, of course, exceptions. There may be many of them, but they are still exceptions.

Question: How can this situation be corrected?

Answer: Why should it be corrected?

Comment: I would like to be judged not by what color I am or by the shape of my nose, but by what I am.

Answer: To do this, you need to correct people! And then, even your nose won’t bother you.

Question: And what will corrected people feel when looking at me and at my nose?

Answer: They will not see your color, gender, or nose. They will see you as some kind of expert to whom they turn. You can be a musician or a surgeon, no matter who or what.

Michael Laitman, On The Times of Israel: “Fight or Flight”

If this incident were not confirmed by the airline, it could easily pass for fake news. Apparently, two pilots flying a commercial flight full of passengers faced the “fight or flight” question mid-flight in the cockpit, and chose “fight.” According to an AP report, “Two Air France pilots were suspended after physically fighting in the cockpit on a Geneva-Paris flight in June, an Air France official said Sunday.” Worse yet, they could not stop fighting until “cabin crew intervened and one crew member spent the flight in the cockpit with the pilots.” Thanks to the intervention of the crew, the plane landed safely.

There is more from that airline. The AP report also describes an incident of “a fuel leak on an Air France flight from Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo to Paris in December 2020.” The pilots rerouted the plane, “but didn’t cut power to the engine or land as soon as possible, as leak procedure requires. The plane landed safely in Chad, but [France’s air investigation agency] warned that the engine could have caught fire.”

I wonder what more it might take for us to realize that our egos have taken over our lives, manipulate our common sense, and lead us to a disaster. If people who are responsible for hundreds of lives each day cannot control their petty egos and are willing to waste not only their own lives, but the lives of hundreds of people under their responsibility, who can we trust?

How many more disasters and wars will it take before we realize that we are our own worst enemy, that we must correct our ego? Will we do it only when tragedy touches us personally? In all likelihood, by that time, it will be too late to correct ourselves because we will not be around to do it. Should we not start now, while we are still here and can change ourselves?

The only way to correct the growing mutual dislike is to acknowledge that our enemy is not our co-pilot, or any other challenger, for that matter, but our own ego. And the only way to fight the ego is to strive to connect precisely with my challenger. In other words, anything that the ego paints as bad, I divert it toward the good.

I know this is not easy; I know it sounds impossible; but I also know that it sounds impossible because the ego wants us to think it is impossible. Once we begin to work on it together, we will discover that nothing is easier and more enjoyable than bonding with other people.

I wonder what the passengers on that flight would have thought had they known what was happening in the cockpit while they felt safe and carefree. I wonder what they think now that they know about it. But most of all, I hope this unbelievable story becomes a wake-up call that demonstrates just where the ego can take us if we let it make our choices for us.
