Answers To Your Questions, Part 132

Laitman_151Question: What does the term “do away with himself” (the expression in Hebrew means to lose one’s reason) refer to according to the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: A person must choose whether to advance within reason or above reason in every situation in life. Above reason refers to advancing against the corporeal mind and reason.

Instead of making the natural choice in the attribute of receiving, a person chooses the attribute of bestowal. If a person cannot advance above reason, he falls to the corporeal mind and reason, within reason, and this means that he does away with himself.

Question: What do the terms “uniqueness – Yichud – יחוד” and “Jew – Yehud – יהוד” mean? When does the letter “Chet” change to “Hey” and why?

Answer: It is in many sources, because all letters of the Hebrew alphabet are interchangeable, i.e., are built in accordance with the 10 Sefirot. See the article about the letters.

China Favors The Establishment Of Palestine

laitman_547_02Comment: The Prime Minister of China, in his appearance at the Arab League, declared that Israel must be divided into a Jewish nation and a Palestinian nation with the capital of the Palestinian nation in East Jerusalem. They allocated 7.6 million dollars for this.

Response: It only appears to be allocated. There is no nation in the world that will not protect Israel until the UN will make a decision to liquidate the “Zionist Nation.” They will determine the date and the time period for the process when everyone must leave the territory of the nation. Each will leave for wherever he wants, for wherever they will agree to accept, if at all.

This is what will happen here in Israel if we continue to engage in personal benefit, with schemes of one against the other, and think only about this.

We all know how we treat each other instead of uniting, how everyone hates each other in the Knesset, trying to impose his opinion. If it will continue to be like that, we have no future.

Question: Does this mean that Israel will not have any friends at all?

Answer: A nation has no friends, there are only interests. This is what determines whether a nation is friendly or not. According to the given interests, we have no friends because we are behaving improperly. We are not telling and not showing humanity what we must do so that the world can be saved and their condition improved specifically thanks to our correct behavior.

It is up to us to show the world an example of how to unite, how to raise the standard of living, social relationships, and everything else because in this way we attract the Upper Light, the upper force, to us that can implement all of the changes in our nature, and then just wait for this situation to influence the world.

The upper force is not God as we think. This is the force that exists in nature, and it is necessary to know how to attract it so it changes mankind and adds to the evil that fills our world, good—a positive force. And without it, we are only influenced by the negative pole.

If we do this, then not only will we have friends, but everyone will even follow us with their eyes shut because the world has nowhere else to go. We just need to show them a personal example of the method of unification.

Therefore we must do this so that the people of Israel will know what the realization of their historical mission is. Without this, the world will drive us in a terrible way, not only here, but also from every point in the world. The future lies only in unification.

Who Is Better Off?

Laitman_506_3Question: In the corporeal world people lie, flatter, provoke intrigues, and gloat at the failure of others. Do such behaviors exist in the spiritual world too?

Answer: Human nature is egoistic. We constantly want to see ourselves in the best possible condition, to be superior to others, better than others, etc. Everyone measures his position relative to others or with respect to himself: am I superior to others or are they inferior to me, so then I feel better.

Tis does not exist in the spiritual world because there everything is felt in the opposite manner. The more highly regarded others are, the better we feel.

Question: If a person pleases another without receiving a reward, does it mean that the soul is happy?

Answer: It is merely a positive use of the ego. The ego is pleased and so it does it for others, which means that a person uses his natural ego correctly and safely.

Japan: Robots Are Replacing Farmers

Laitman_405Question: The world is approaching robotization (the replacement of people by robots) more and more. In Japan, for example, robots have begun to replace farmers, and toward the end of 2016, they are planning to build a completely robotic farm. It is interesting to see that a Japanese literature competition held recently finished with a novel that was written by a robot. So, gradually, robots are replacing people.

Answer: It is possible to replace people in everything, except spiritual work.

A point in the heart is within each one of us. This is a spiritual point, a connection with the Creator, or our resemblance to Him. This point in the heart cannot be created artificially because this attribute is given to a living person, a biological entity, and we cannot transfer and implant this in a robot.

So, we should not worry about the loss of work that robots will carry out.

We must do what people must do: develop this point of divinity within us to the point of full resemblance and equivalence to the Creator. The resemblance that is developed in us is what is called Adam (Man). Everything else is a body on the animate level, not on the level of Adam. Robots were created only to push us toward this work.

Question: What does “becoming like the Creator” mean?

Answer: Becoming like the Creator is developing the internal and hidden desire within us that attracts us toward oneness, friendship, mutual help, and connection to the mutual merging of everyone into one single image called Adam, from the word “Domeh” (similar to the Creator). It is up to every person, all of humanity, to reach this state.

We can do this. For this, there are unique forces in nature. The wisdom of Kabbalah speaks about this, and helps in discovering and using them so that we will become like the Creator.

The future of humanity is a society in which all of the physical work will be carried out by robots and machines, while people will be involved with spiritual work. This is the human level.

New Life #567 – Everyone Is Corrupt

New Life #567 – Everyone Is Corrupt
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

Summary

Anyone who reaches a position of power may become corrupt; this is a general social phenomenon. Corruption is the outcome of the state the Israeli society is in. Each of us would do the same in that position.

Everyone is a small thief, the grocer, the taxi driver, everyone. Those in higher positions have more options. The time of idealist leaders is over; Menachem Begin was probably the last. Today everything is corrupt. Everyone is infected by his egoism. See the situation on the roads, at workplaces, at the supermarket, everywhere. Very few would behave differently.

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, 10% of the world population behave differently. They are altruistic from birth. Their desire to receive is built differently. They receive egoistic pleasure from helping others, and so they don’t need to correct the ego.

In the past religion restrained a man’s ego, it promised him heaven. Today nothing helps. In the modern world the ego has no inhibitions no matter if a person is non-religious, religious, Ashkenazic, Middle Eastern or anything. The growing ego will bring the collapse of Israel; our only hope is a revolution in education. We have to re-educate ourselves. We have to build a new human being together. We need to learn that there is also a positive force in human nature and that there is a method of connecting to it and correcting everything.

Barack Obama Is For The Conversion Of America To Islam

Laitman_408Comment: The American President Barack Obama said in a speech before British youth that everything is changing so fast in the world that one is tempted to form his own consciousness, like a member of a tribe who feels confident and secure in the face of many changes. But he believes that the youth should resist this temptation.

The President referred to immigrants from Africa, the Middle East, Northern Ireland, and Burma, which he believes should be received with empathy. The President emphasized that he doesn’t accept people who wish to feel superior by dividing the world into them and us. It turns out that Obama is calling for unity.

Answer: That’s true but only under the domination of the US. Since how else is it possible? Someone has to manage the parade! From Obama’s perspective ,it is the US of course.

The commanders of the parade will be those who lead and manage the settlement in the US, which are not those who founded America. The founding fathers were British, Irish, and Germans who laid the proper foundations of the country, and Obama wants to change all that.

There is something to hide, after all, according to his view, the US should become an Islamic state. He came in order to change it, so at least at the end of his presidency, the gates of the country would be wide open for active extremist Arab population to settle there.

Question: If we speak about the upper force that guides the hearts of ministers and kings, what is the goal of the upper force in leading Obama in this specific manner?

Answer: The goal of the upper force is to show us that we will not be able to survive by relying on a philosophy of the world, whether religious, Anglo-Saxon, Asian, Afro-American, or Muslim. We will succeed only if we begin to unite above all the philosophies, above everything that divides us.

Thus, in America, the Muslim population is being injected, in order to create a great controversy within the American society, and then from the inability to continue this development, it will have to come to the conclusion that people have no other choice but to join.

Question: You often say that nothing will succeed unless people reach a dead end. Can we try to come out of the situation we are in by using our brains?

Answer: Of course not. See what happens in humanity! Can it attain anything by using the human brain?

There is only one way out of the impasse, and if that doesn’t help, a great explosion will follow, like the detonation of nuclear weapons, which is certainly possible. Then no one will be able to stop it, starting a chain reaction.

Fear restrains us up to a certain point, but then the mind ceases to operate and common sense disappears. Those who will survive will undergo great sufferings and as a result will understand that they have rebuild humanity according to a different principle, above our nature using our nature only as a springboard. This is where it will all end.

I hope that we will be strong enough to listen to what Kabbalists say. We will not grow wise by ourselves since we don’t have the brains it takes in our current condition. We should listen to Kabbalists who have attained the plan of creation to its end. They have already undergone it personally and so they advise us not to make mistakes but to follow their footsteps carefully, gradually changing our nature in the likeness of the Creator and attain the upper world here, in this world, in this life.

The World Is What We Attain

laitman_926_02The Standard by Which to Evaluate a Wisdom

The value of any wisdom in the world is according to the purpose that it yields. This is the goal to which all the scrutinies aim. Therefore, a wisdom without some purpose is inconceivable except for infants playing games, since to pass the time they come and this is their purpose, according to their value. For this reason, a wisdom is not evaluated by keenness and proficiency, but according to the merit of the purpose that it yields.

You therefore find that any external wisdom is only for the purpose of corporeality, which is sure to be gone today or tomorrow. In that case, it is sufficient for the subject to be as the predicate.

And although the wisdom has many advantages over these subjects, for wherever it is, it is nonetheless a spiritual element, but we have already said that it is evaluated by the purpose, which is its persistence for eternity. And if the purpose is transitory and fleeting, it is lost along with it.
(Baal HaSulam, “The Wisdom of Israel Compared to the External Wisdoms”)

Naturally, our universe and its laws, which seem to us unshakeable, has its beginning and its end. There is a beginning, middle, climax, and then decline, reduction, and extinction in the development of any dynamic system.

Therefore, today we see that the laws we study and consider to be absolute exist only in the framework of our senses and only with regard to us. If our senses were different, we could attain totally different laws and connections.

Question: Does this means that you have to change internally in order to become a physicist? I study and explore how the world around me changes and create the necessary instruments.

Answer: On the whole, when I study something in any field I can freeze a certain parameter and keep studying with a fixed parameter.

It is the same here when we are subconsciously frozen in our egoistic senses and use them to explore the world. Therefore, it seems to us that there is nothing but the world that we see, but we forget that we perceive everything through our senses that are initially fixed by nature.

If we could change them, a totally different science would emerge based on our new senses. This variable dramatically changes all the laws as they turn from absolute laws to relative laws. It turns out that on every level and in every internal change a totally different science is created, a different state, a different world. This is what a person attains.

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, when a person begins to change 125 fixed types of changes appear in him and accordingly 125 worlds, 125 levels or depths of attainment, which means 125 types of science.

But when you attain the uppermost level all your previous attainments merge into one single whole that is called the world of Ein Sof (Infinity). We cannot understand that yet, because we probably undergo a special transition there. This transition is still unattainable for us.

We Should Not Disregard Our State

laitman_423_02Question: When one enters the spiritual world is he indifferent to this world?

Answer: No, one is not indifferent. In fact, our world is very important. Because of it we rise to the upper world, beget our soul, begin to experience and sense everything, and grow there.

The more a person advances in spirituality, the more he needs our world, values it, and can use it in the correct way. Therefore, we do not neglect our current state in any way.
