Changing The Thoughts Of Another Person

laitman_627_2Question from Facebook: Can a Kabbalist change the thoughts of other people?

Answer: No. A Kabbalist can help a person change by bringing him to a particular environment and providing an example.

A Kabbalist influences other people only through a higher Sefira by helping them to connect to it. A higher blessed energy descends from there, which balances the person and shows him how to behave correctly in order to be in harmony with nature.

Mission Of The Jewish People

Unity, The Way To A Good FutureQuestion from Facebook: You are always talking about the mission of the Jewish people. Are you certain they will be able to fulfill it?

Answer: Yes. This is laid in the basis of nature. The question lies only in how quickly they accept the job and in what manner they will actualize it in order to give all of humanity an example of connection.

This is essentially the mission of the Jewish people. They must become united within and demonstrate to all humanity how to build society and the state correctly.

It is exactly for this reason that the Jewish people find themselves on their own land again after 2,000 years, in order to once again build a state and create a unified nation, a correct society, family, and so on. This phenomenon does not exist in nature! We have to build it here, now, on this land. And then we will suddenly find ourselves in the center of the entire human community.

Everyone will suddenly look at us, but this time not with hatred, as they do now, but on the contrary, with comprehension that this is exactly what they were expecting from us, and therefore, they hated and thought negatively of us because we were not fulfilling our mission.

This is called becoming a “light to the nations”—demonstrating an example of connection to them so they too will unite.

Question: That means that the Jewish people will build a society of the future, but not for themselves?

Answer: The Jewish people do not exist for themselves. That is the problem. They need to understand that they must exist for all the other peoples. The law of altruism, bestowal, “love your friend as yourself,” is calling us to this.

Easier Said Than Done

laitman_938_03Question from Facebook: Everything you say sounds very simple, so why is it so hard to fulfill it?

Answer: The point is that the fulfillment of the method is according to our egoistic desires, impulses, and yearnings. In contrast to them, we have to achieve a hearty internal connection with others, in order to create a state between us of mutual attraction toward the center, not to one of us, but to everyone with regard to the others.

This is no simple thing, but this is in what we should engage. Then we will begin to feel that we have great help from nature, from the Creator, since nature and the Creator are the same thing. If we do that, we will feel a new state between us, the next dimension, the upper world, the Creator, and at the same time, we will feel that we exist not in our corporeal body, but external to it. This is to what we aspire.

A fine internal intention is required here, to which a person brings himself after years, until he reaches a state of being detached from himself because the thin wire that connects all our impulses to the ego has to be broken.

How Can We Understand Kabbalah?

Blitz Of Kabbalah Tips – 8/21/16, Part 2

laitman_283_01Question: Often it seems to me that I am being moved, as if I am not doing anything. Is this only my imagination?

Answer: It is quite possible it seems like this to you. If you study the wisdom of Kabbalah seriously, you will begin to feel how this happens and where, how the upper force manages you and what it does inside of you.

Question: What feelings does a Kabbalist experience? Does he receive pleasure from our world?

Answer: A Kabbalist experiences feelings a billion times greater than a regular person, and even if these are feelings in our world, he can connect them with the Creator.

Question: Is intuition also product of desire?

Answer: In Kabbalah, there is no intuition. Intuition is a lack of knowledge, an absence of awareness in our world, which we somehow make up. In Kabbalah, the Light fills a desire precisely and guides it.

Question: Is it possible to give an example of how it is possible to attribute everything to the Creator?

Answer: I suggest you constantly reread the articles from the book Shamati, especially the article “There is None Else beside Him,” then you will surely begin to feel contact with the upper force and will know how it is possible to be in mutual interaction with Him.

Question: What can one do if emotions take you over and you cannot turn through them to their source?

Answer: You can! Continue to read the articles in Shamati, but seriously.

Question: How is it possible to get rid of constant memories about a girl? Except for a strong feeling of hatred toward her, nothing is left.

Answer: This doesn’t bother the girl or you. I repeat again, study the wisdom of Kabbalah seriously, and it will direct you toward the right goal.

laitman_570Question: How does a Kabbalist overcome negative emotions?

Answer: A Kabbalist brings negative emotions to the Creator because the Creator arouses them so that he will connect with Him above the negative emotions.

Question: Which feelings must a person cultivate within himself?

Answer: These are mainly the feeling that “There is none else beside Him” and that everything that the Creator does is absolutely good. In this world, at this time, we need to discover that the Creator is the only force that is filled with good.

Question: What does “feeling the Creator” mean? What is this like?

Answer: Feeling the Creator is like a feeling of a huge, all-encompassing single immense force that completely controls the whole world and you. And you are in this; you see this! This is the most wonderful feeling that a person can experience. We must reach this feeling and be immersed within it all the time.

Question: In a group composed of ten people, how can we feel that we are attracting the Light?

Answer: You must feel it in yourself.

Question: What does the expression, “upbringing of the senses” mean in spirituality?

Answer: None of the methods in our world have anything to do with emotional education. This is a process that happens when I awaken and summon particular portions of the Upper Light and then feel how much I and my emotions have been changed under their influence.

Question: Must there be a balance between the mind and the senses?

Answer: Without a doubt, between the mind and the senses there must be a middle line, and both of them must be constantly balanced.

What It Means To be Human

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion from Facebook:
You claim that man is bad. Then what does it mean to be human?

Answer: Man is bad because evil is inherent in our nature and develops more and more in the course of humanity’s evolution.

To be human means to take all of your negative qualities and transform them into positive.

This is realized with the help of a special higher energy that exists in nature and is called “the upper Light.” I take my egoism in the left hand, the upper light, the enormous unlimited power of goodness, into the right hand, and I begin to combine them so that they support each other.

In the meantime, egoism begins to play with the upper Light, and the upper Light shines billions of times more precisely because egoism joins it. This creates a huge new sphere of life called the upper world.

A person has to do all this, and the wisdom of Kabbalah explains how. And the Creator helps us to the extent that a person desires it.

A Real World And An Imaginary World

laitman_423_02Question from Facebook: Are the concepts “real world” and “imaginary world” determined only by the person himself? So consequently, they are subjective? Which is to say, are they open to debate?

Answer: Certainly. After all, we cannot say that what is perceived by a person exists objectively. It is felt within him, and it changes because his perception is subjective with respect to him.

But we are talking about how we exist, in what capacity, space, time, movement, world, and so forth.

Therefore, Kabbalah speaks about how to perceive the perfect level of our existence where there are no limitations on our drives, characteristics, developments, thoughts, and desires. A person is not limited by time or space in anything he can imagine! The wisdom of Kabbalah brings us to this state.

I think that this is better than the world of today.

Politics, Economics, And Kabbalah

laitman_265Question from Facebook: You talk a lot about politics and economics, how is this relevant to the study of the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: Kabbalah doesn’t investigate or teach politics or economics. It studies the inner essence of man—his egoism. And all that is derived from it, everything that we do with the help of egoism, that is, our entire world, is its consequence.

Therefore, the wisdom of Kabbalah has something to say about it. It understands the origin of human development in economics, politics, his mutual relationships, in the family, in the nation, in society, and in every situation because they are based on egoism.

If you want to know the truth about economics and politics, study Kabbalah!

Answers To Your Questions, Part 165

laitman_629_3Question: Is it good to read The Book of Zohar in a group of ten before going to bed?

Answer: Try it, I believe this will strengthen you.

Question: I feel that the spiritual world is beginning to show its face to me after a month and a half when it was hidden from me. I think this is a result of internal changes on a micro-level. Everything is going according to plan, but the effort, the true inner yearning for the Creator, is what accelerates this internal plan.

I cannot forget what has already been revealed to me. I no longer need to try to be convinced about what you are telling everyone. I have already felt it. It seems to me now that there is only one thing that is essential: getting away from the “idols” that surround life and truly yearn for the Creator. Is that right?

Answer: It is absolutely right!
