Faith above reason requires a special mind. The fact is that the people of this world, you and I, each one of us, are built from egoism, the desire to receive, within which we feel all of reality.

We feel only that which can bring us pleasure or vice versa, cause us suffering, that is, plus or minus relative to our egoistic desire to live pleasant lives.

But here, a special approach is required of us. I do not want to feel what is pleasant or unpleasant to me, so I try to break free from this dependence, rise above it, and assess reality in terms of what is good or bad for others. In this way, I will begin to see what is outside of me. Otherwise, I do not see anything; the whole world for me is only what determines my own egoistic benefit.

I limit myself with this; I do not go beyond being an animal that thinks only of its own stomach or a small, naive child who understands only his own pleasure and does not take others into account.

Then, the child grows and seems to begin to take care of others, to see and understand the world more clearly. But, in fact, we do not see the world, we simply expand the field of our interests more and more, and can evaluate what will be in our favor and what will harm us.

The sensor with which we perceive reality is created from a single desire to receive; we must realize this. We live within our egoistic desire and this is called the creation of this world. In fact, there is no “this world, the future world, or the upper worlds.” There is only one reality that depends solely on our perception, on our attitude toward what is happening.

There are some phenomena in the world that we do not feel at all because our perception is determined only by what is good or bad for us. We just do not notice anything else.

If the signal is not picked up by my egoistic sensor, the desire to receive, either as positive or negative, then I do not feel it at all. Maybe something grand is happening around me, but I do not see anything.

Kabbalists who have attained the upper world say that it is right here. We do not need to go somewhere else, to the other end of the universe, to another galaxy, all the worlds are already here, next to us.
Only we do not feel them because we perceive reality only through one narrow parameter: I feel good or I feel bad. It turns out that all of reality is limited only by my primitive, egoistic interest.

But how can I see more, feel more, understand more, and start to come out of my cocoon? This is possible if I rise above the feeling of “I feel good or I feel bad” and acquire the quality of bestowal, the quality that is called faith. Then I will feel everything not in relation to my own benefit, but in relation to others.

If I begin to evaluate reality in this way, I will rise above myself and find a new sensory organ: faith above reason. This is how I enter a new, external perception of reality independent of my egoism. I will be able to feel what others feel outside of me and, thus, my view will become relatively objective depending on how much I can separate myself from my own interests.

I begin to see the objective reality that I was able to reveal: 125 spiritual degrees, five upper worlds, and I can then gradually develop this view until I am able to see everything that is outside of me. And what is outside of me is called the Creator or Boreh, meaning “Come and See.” Now, in my desire to receive, I see nothing, but I have the opportunity to attain the Creator, the reality that is outside of me.

Then, I will understand where I really live, what nature is, and what is happening to me. Therefore, this technique is called Kabbalah (receiving) because it teaches how to get a sense of all this boundless reality. A person who has developed such feelings is called a Kabbalist because he perceives reality objectively, not distorted in his egoistic perception but as it really is.

Even the very first exit from your egoism allows you to feel that the higher, spiritual reality exists! So, I begin to understand where I am, what I exist for, and why, as well as what process I must go through and what state I must achieve. Before that, we are completely blind, insensitive, and we have no way to look beyond our egoism. Only faith above reason can help us break free from it.

Why Change Your Natural Egoism?

Question: It is said that we humans look at the world through the prism of our egoism. Could you give an example of this?

Answer: I cannot give an example because everything I see in the world, I see through my feelings: how pleasant or unpleasant it is for me. Otherwise, I cannot see anything.

I would not see anything around me if I did not subconsciously, instantly, assess how close or far it is from me, from my egoism, from my desire for comfort and various sensations.

Question: Why change it if nature created us this way?

Answer: This is our natural development. The desire to enjoy is imprinted in us; it is our nature. So if I evaluate something, see something, hear something, and feel something, it is only in this desire.

Question: Wouldn’t it turn out that if we change all this, it would be against nature, the Creator?

Answer: It will be against our current nature, but it will take us to the next degree. We will evaluate everything not as it is seen in our eyes, but as it is seen in the eyes of the next, higher degree. Then we will climb it.

Remark: The form of corporeal reality is similar to the spiritual one. The difference is only in the quality of the material. There is no detail in our reality that would not have a root in the upper world.

In other words, our world is the world of consequences and the spiritual world, or the world of forces, is the world of roots, i.e., root causes.

My Reply: Everything is very simple. There are reasons and there are consequences. The cause is the upper world, and the effect is our world. Depending on this, we can define them like that.

Question: You said that in the spiritual worlds there are such phenomena that have no consequences in our world. There is a wider range of various sensations there and are not all of them materialized in our world?

Answer: Yes. What do the spiritual world and our world mean? The spiritual world is what is felt in our desires that are corrected into bestowal, into love for others. Our world is what is felt in our uncorrected, selfish desires.

Naturally, there is a difference in sensations because both worlds, their boundaries, calibration, and everything else, are determined only relative to a person. Therefore, we can talk either about what is felt by an ordinary person in our world, not corrected in his egoism, or by a person who has already risen above his egoism and feels what is happening in the intention for bestowal or love for the neighbor.

Comment: In the spiritual world there are only objects with independent, conscious desire. For example, a pencil does not exist there because it does not have that desire.

My Response: As with all inanimate matter, it has the common desire of this matter: to maintain its form. In the spiritual world there is no still, vegetative, or animate nature because all the desires of these levels are directed only to self-preservation.

An ordinary person does not exist there either. This is all imaginary nature because it does not emanate, does not produce anything from itself. It is busy only in order to maintain its existence in the most comfortable form and nothing more.

Question: It turns out that the entire spiritual world is exclusively in our brains?

Answer: Of course. Where else? After all, there really is no space. The spiritual desire is called space.

Question: But do the roots of all material objects and phenomena exist?

Answer: That is mandatory. They are in our desire and therefore are reproduced in it.

Question: Can you tell what, for example, is a table in the spiritual? What is being done to it, how is it being used?

Answer: There is a certain force or, as we call it, Reshimo (information record), which draws this table in us.

Comment: Kabbalists write that there is no time, speed, or place in spirituality as in the material world. From the point of view of Kabbalah, time is a change of states.

My Response: Yes, time does not exist in itself since everything that happens is interpreted with respect to the observer who comprehends this. Therefore, everything is relative, as well as according to Einstein.

But how does this happen on its own? We don’t know. There is nothing happening outside of us. Everything is in our sensations only.

Comment: They say that there is no speed in the spiritual world, only acceleration.

My Response: Constant speed means almost no movement. Here we are dealing with a derivative and not with a constant speed. This is also stated in the theory of relativity.

Question: As for space, is it spiritual in a desire?

Answer: Naturally, because again everything is comprehended regarding a person, regarding an observer. The organ with which one perceives everything is a desire.

Therefore, everything happens in the will of a person only. If what is happening in the desire is constant, then one simply ceases to understand this. We feel only changes, and not the impact itself.

Comment: It is interesting that the ancient The Book of Zohar, written in the 2nd century AD, says, “The Zohar doesn’t speak of material events at all, but of higher worlds, where the order of times is not the same as in the material world. Times in the spirituality are revealed through changes in forms and steps that are higher than place and time. ”

My Response: Yes, that is true, there’s nothing that changes by itself, only with respect to the observer.

Question: The wisdom of Kabbalah is the science of nature. In school, we studied nature in physics classes. According to the laws of physics, our thoughts are weak electric discharges. How does this go together with the fact that thought is corporeal? What does Kabbalah say about this?

Answer: In physics, we do not speak about thought itself but about material ideas. This is because thought is much more internal.

Usually, with the help of an encephalograph, we examine some kind of brain currents, i.e., something transmitting signals from the subcortex to other parts of the brain. But this is not a thought.

The thought itself is not just the transmission of an electric signal. The thought is inside the electric signal and is the meaning that is transmitted through the external cover, which is not the same thing.

You can for example study my speech but if people don’t know the language, the internal meaning of what I say, they will not understand anything. So the external form of the messages we transmit to each other is not the essence of these messages.

These days, humanity is in turmoil, not knowing how to perceive the special state we find ourselves in. It seems to us that it depends on those who hold power and money, the governments, the army, and the mafia.

However, we need to understand that, in fact, they have no influence. Everything is determined only by the relations between people. If we raise the importance of connection and unity, then all of humanity rises, and if we lower it, then we all fall.

Therefore, we should not wait to hear in the news which government came to power; rather, we should check through our own relations, who we elect and who we remove. We should be engaged not in politics, but only in connecting people.

The entire world is within us, and it is necessary to bring unity and connection to all these opposing forces that are supposedly pulling each one in its own direction, not only the development of this world, but the entire reality, including the upper system, the upper world.

The entire reality must take part in the integral connection and work concertedly in order to reveal within its relations the form of the upper force, which is the crown (the highest Sefira Keter) and governs everything. If we organize the reality within us in this way, we force all the opposing forces of nature to start working together and moving the world toward connection.

These forces will appear to us as opposing each other, clashing with and hating each other, supposedly unable to reach any compromise or connection. Each will try to take control over the others.

However, this is exactly the sign of the development of reality in which all the contradictions are added. There can be no light without darkness and no good without evil, and vice versa. All forces must work according to their nature but in one direction.

Each force operating in the general system must understand that it can only work according to its nature, and therefore must not resist it and only perform its function. It is necessary to arrange all the forces so that each of them supports the others and all of them are directed to the revelation of the upper force.

The path to correction is not short, but it depends on how much we try to accelerate it without waiting for time to do its work. We need to be smart and patient and accept what is happening without panic, but with wisdom, knowing that whatever is going to happen will happen.

There is an upper Ruler in the world who controls everything; our task is only to help Him. Our help is very important, but it is the Creator who begins creation and He finishes it.

Our strength is in the fact that we are many and we are very different, but we are ready to be together as one man with one heart. We agree to connect in order to make the upper force a ruler in our world that will be revealed in the entire reality. Therefore, the main thing is to continue on the same path, regardless of one’s moods. We just need to know that we have to do everything in our power and thus advance.

We should be less impressed by news headlines because we see that governments themselves do not understand what is happening and they themselves are getting sick not knowing what will happen tomorrow. Obviously, they do not have a new program and they hope to return everything to the old, pre-viral times when they were strong and rich. However, this will not work.

Although countries have already begun to move toward equitable distribution in order to provide everyone with what they need in this critical state. It will be interesting to see how the powerful people of this world will later try to “correct” this state and restore the system of industry and trade again, and the Creator will  correct them with His own forces.

After all, correction lies only in the connection between people. If we disseminate through this connection, we will come to the healthiest state, the most balanced with the surrounding nature, which requires only this balance from us.

Nature is expecting humanity to consume only what is necessary for a normal life and to direct all its other forces to the revelation of the upper world.

Question: There are neurosciences that study the way we think. They say that the person builds a certain model of reality, that is, what is obvious to him. If he needs to buy milk, for example, he knows what store to go to and goes there automatically.

Why is this level of thinking not explained in Kabbalah, that is, what happens in the brain? Baal HaSulam says that there are five senses, data input which is somehow processed and creates our internal perspective. This program exists above the desire. Why is it not explained?

Answer: This program exists below the desire and belongs to the subconscious.

Kabbalah does not engage in the functioning of the brain as a calculator, nor in muscle memory, nor in any memory mechanisms. It only deals with the soul.

Our desire is called a soul. It is not in our corporeal body and it is not in our head.

The Creator created the desire. It can be egoistic, that is, directed only at loving one’s self, or it can change within us, with the help of the Creator, into an altruistic desire, that is, in bestowal and love of others. There is no other way.

In parallel to shifting the vector of the desire: from “for my own sake” to “for the sake of others,” we begin to feel the upper world, and only then do we understand how everything works, where the operating signals come from, and so on.

Everything else related to matter, the brain, etc., is not studied in Kabbalah because it does not interest us. We are only interested in the pure desire that is not part of any form of matter. This is how we explore it and master it.

Question: You say that our world doesn’t exist. In what sense does it not exist and why? What does “illusory” mean, and whose illusion it is?

Answer: It is our illusion. In reality, our world does not exist.

What does “in reality” mean? In the property of bestowal, which is the only thing that exists in reality; our world does not exist.

Our world is the property of reception, it is pure egoism. And the world itself does not exist, it is purposefully created as a ghostly and illusory one so that we live in it as at the starting point of our true spiritual development, so that we exist outside of the spiritual worlds, outside of true existence.

Our world is simply a black dot.

Question: If the Creator is the law of nature, then to whom or to what do we pray? Do I understand correctly that we simply resonate with our higher states when we raise a prayer for others?

Answer: We do not work in a void. We work with regard to the only law of nature, the integral relationship between all elements of creation.

If we, who are so fragmented and distant, who push each other away and desire to use each other, change our behavior and become closer to each other, then we will find ourselves in a spiritual state and see that we are in a completely different world.

We need to rise above our egoism and begin to unite among ourselves. Kabbalah speaks about this.

The path to this can be twofold. One is the path of suffering, which we are still walking on, or the path of light, i.e., attracting the upper light and training in small groups, not all of humanity, but through the tens.
