Question: What is the correction of the egoistic nature of man?

Answer: To the extent that I correct myself, I see only goodness in the world.

Question: Suppose a couple of million people died of hunger now. Does a Kabbalist not see all this or does he see it differently?

Answer: He feels all this and feels that he is to blame for it because he has not yet corrected all these properties in himself.

Question: And if he has corrected them, does he see this phenomenon as positive?

Answer: No. He realizes that all this is still not corrected because he cannot completely correct the entire universe. However, he corrects a part of it.

Question: But he has no complaints against anyone? He takes all claims upon himself because he understands that something hasn’t been completed yet?

Answer: Only to yourself. Fix yourself, and you will fix the world.

Question: Your teacher Rabash wrote that a hero among heroes is someone who transforms his hater into his lover, that a hero is the one who overcomes his evil inclination.

Looking at other people through my egoistic prism, I see them as low and base and myself as sublime. But if I make an effort to see them as elevated in my eyes, then I become a hero. Does being a hero mean to overcome your innate egoistic nature?

Answer: Yes. A hero is the one who conquers himself. In principle, we do not need anything other than this. If we overcome our egoistic nature, then to this extent we will simply enter the state of general goodness.

The fact is that nature created us as egoistic people who judge everything to the extent of our depravity. I always see negative properties in others. Therefore, I need to somehow understand that all these properties are inside me. This is the realization of evil.

Question: But if there were no other people, I would never have seen these negative properties in myself?

Answer: Yes, just like any animal.

Question: That is, I live from life cycle to life cycle, see negative properties in everyone, and complain about everyone. And then, at some stage, I suddenly begin to understand that this is all inside me?

Answer: But such an understanding is not easy to come to. Kabbalists revealed this and they wrote to us about it.

As we read their books, we begin to understand that they are telling the truth, but we do not see this. They revealed everything in their senses and described it in their writings, but we still do not feel it. Therefore, from what we read, we must gradually move to the realization that everything in nature is really created this way, and we perceive it in this way.

First we gain knowledge and then understanding and sensory attainment.

Question: How does this happen? What does inside me mean?

Answer: Everything that happens in the world happens in your perception. And you cannot say anything about what is outside. The world is depicted in us.

Question: Can you imagine how much evil happens in the world every second? Does a Kabbalist feel that this is all because of him?

Answer: Not only this. If you dig deeper, all this is me.

I cannot see anything except my “I,” my desire. Everything that happens in it is the world that I comprehend.

The Book of Zohar, Chayei Sarah (The Life of Sarah), Item 87: When one observes the tweeting of fowl to know the future, why is it called “a serpent” and “witchcraft”? It is because it extends from that side of impurity, since the spirit of impurity is over that bird, which announces things in the world. And every spirit of impurity clings and comes to the world from the serpent, and there is none who is saved from him in the world, for he is in everything—until the time when the Creator is destined to remove him from the world, as it is written, “And death shall be swallowed up forever.”

Question: What do birds have to do with it? What harm did they do?

Answer: Birds are something that is higher than us, that is, a lighter desire. There are animals, fish, birds, plants, and so on. This means that our egoistic desire is stronger, heavier, coarser, and more subtle, light, graceful. Birds are the personification of less selfish desires.

Remark: But for some reason impurity comes from them.

Answer: Because people who are fortune tellers, in principle, already trust someone. Their egoism is not yet highly developed. Real strong egoists can trust someone only if they have a hopeless situation when very serious things are at stake.

They have done everything to ensure their success, and yet, they see that there is some element that they do not control. Then they go to fortune-tellers or shamans. It happens.

I have seen interesting examples of this in America. I have a friend who is a very wealthy man and owns huge motel estates in North Carolina. It so happened that drunkards and drug addicts started to visit these properties and committed tomfooleries.

Neither he, nor the police, nor the court could do anything. Then he turned to Indian shamans at the time I was passing through there visiting him. And what is interesting is he believed in it! I have seen all these primitive routines. People believe it will help.

Question: So did it help or not?

Answer: No, it did not help. In the end, he sold everything.

When does it help? When a man is sick and believes very much that what is recommended to him will help. The placebo effect. You take a sugar-pill believing that it is a medicine, and at the same time you include such inner forces that rejuvenate you and heal you. This is natural.

Question: Our brain categorizes everything it feels. From these categorizing what is known as bias grows. That is, a person thinks in patterns and often makes decisions that were originally ingrained in him. Sometimes these decisions can be wrong, unfair.

Scientists say that one of the methods of preventing bias is to stop a person in time and ask him the appropriate questions. Basically, make him pause so that he asks himself, “What assumptions do I have? What influences me in order to make the right decision?”

We are subjected to bias from birth. What can I do about it? How can I not succumb to it?

Answer: I believe that nothing will help except the right environment, which will influence a person. If one begins to question himself, to remember some of his schemes, habits, and patterns implanted in him from childhood, it will not have any results. The only remedy is to be constantly under the strong influence of the right environment.

It turns out that you can only fight against bias by changing it to another. That is, a person is initially under the influence of one society, which forms something in him. Then he gets under another influence and it forms something new in him.

Nothing can be done otherwise. Then there will be a third society, a fourth, and so on, which will influence him more and more. However, from each environment, he will receive what it imbues him with. In this way, he will begin to comprehend everything better and go up the degrees.

Question: You talk all the time about raising a person. Everyone considers themselves to be good and well-mannered. How will a person understand that he needs education and change?

Answer: Only through the blows. How else? If people consider themselves to be so good, why is the world so bad?

Comment: Others are bad, therefore, the world is bad. This is how a person thinks.

My Response: And we will continue in this way until something so heavy falls on our heads that no one will think about anything anymore.

Question: Can we say that by doing this, we are inviting trouble even upon ourselves?

Answer: Of course. Instead of correcting ourselves, trying to do something, we calm ourselves down. This is leading the world to disaster.

Question: Does real education mean that I start looking at what I am like?

Answer: Yes, when I look at myself, what I am. When I look at what I have to do for others, when I am the only one who is not corrected, that is everything that exists is in me: a liar, a thief, a deceiver, a hater. I do not know what other epithets to come up with. It is all me.

And all the others are not. All the others do not exist at all. All the others are my various reflections that I see around me. That is, I look around me at a lot of people, each of them portrays a negative me. In this form and in that and also in this.

There are eight billion people in the world, and each of them represents some negative quality of mine. Eight billion! This is me. This is how our world is designed. And that is how I see it.

Question: What do I do when I see evil, an evil person?

Answer: If I correct myself, I begin to see the world more connected, more aspiring for bestowal, for love, for unity. As a result, I understand that all this is one system, this is one person, called Adam. And this Adam is me because I assembled him in this way by my deeds, actions, thoughts, and all sorts of corrections.

Question: Does it mean that I am absorbing the world in myself? Do I become this single soul, Adam?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Is this the truth?

Answer: This is the truth.

Question: And what we see is a lie?

Answer: No, we also see the truth, but it is a partial truth, torn apart by our internal egoism.

Question: Does it mean that here we as if do not pass it through egoism? We do not look through egoism.

Answer: Yes. If I gather them all together into one single image, then this is me.

This is our task—to gather the whole world and say, “This is me,” and this world depends on me.

Question: Am I responsible for everybody and for everything?

Answer: Absolutely for everything that is here.

Question: Is every person, the simplest, most ordinary person, responsible for the world, for everything that happens in this terrible world?

Answer: Yes, to the extent that he finds himself in this world.

Question: The meaning of life disappears when I think that I need to merge with all people into some common consciousness. Question: I do not exist, there is only the Creator. On the other hand, do I exist only when I am different from Him or when I merge with Him? So, do I exist or not?

Answer: We exist. There is no doubt about that.

But in what way can we connect with the Creator? To do this, we must create a special organ of sensations in us that will be able to feel something outside of us. The Creator is outside of us, we do not feel Him now.

That is why I have to understand how to exit myself, that is, exit the egoistic quality in which I am now into the opposite, altruistic quality, which I develop inside me. If I possess those two qualities, I will be able to feel the Creator in me and become similar to Him without vanishing anywhere or disappearing. That is, I am an integral and eternal element of creation, we do not disappear anywhere.

Michael Laitman, On Quora: “Is life a dream or reality?“

We are unaware as to whether what we now perceive is real or a dream.

What if we are in a dream and cannot wake up?

It appears as if we live in a certain reality, but how do we really know whether such a reality is a dream in relation to another reality? Perhaps there is a new degree of awakening that we are developing toward, where we will see our entire past as if it were a dream?

Moreover, we spend about a third of our lives sleeping in our current reality. How, then, do we know whether or not we are sleeping now in relation to a higher reality?

We thus need to examine how to shift from our current state to a higher state, and attain a new awareness of ourselves and the reality we exist in.

The wisdom of Kabbalah is a method that lets us reach such an attainment. Until we rise to a higher perception and sensation of reality, we will be unconsciously locked in a dream, without the ability to wake up and begin to live.

Everyone has experienced dreaming. Very simply, we fall asleep, we dream while we are asleep, and then we eventually wake up. Likewise, in relation to the spiritual world, our entire corporeal existence is considered a dream.

The more we rise spiritually, the more we discover dreamlike states in relation to higher awakened states.

The wisdom of Kabbalah provides us with a method by which to continually rise up the spiritual ladder of higher and higher consciousness. If we accurately apply ourselves to the method, we then climb this ladder, each time waking up from our current dreamlike state into a higher, more conscious and more aware state. This is why Kabbalists wrote about our current reality that, “They were as dreamers.”

Answer: I know they are here. But it is not like they walk like us. They move. They do not have such a bodily image. But these forces exist.

In general, we live in a world of an infinite number of different forces.

The alien in my mind is the desire to bestow, the desire to love. It is different.

Comment: It does not suit this Earth.

My Response: Yes. Thus, wherever we are: on Earth, on the Moon, on Mars, no matter where, it is there. And there is no such place where it would not be present. But it depends on us how to tune in so that we feel it.

We prepare ourselves to begin to feel this power, to interact with it, and to acquire this property ourselves.

Question: But in fact, the direction is correct: here, between us, there are these forces called “aliens”?

Answer: Here, take these forces and act.

Question: So we can contact them?

Answer: To the extent that you make yourself like them, you will begin to feel them. Calibrate yourself for it.

Question: Calibrate yourself for bestowal, for love, and they will immediately appear?

Answer: Of course!

Comment: And it turns out that all these spirits and angels were here, next to me?

My Response: It is a non-corporeal force that acts and governs around me, inviting me also to mutual control and communication.

Question: Who is in charge? Do they really control us?

Answer: They still control us. But they want us to manage everything together with them.

Comment: That is, this scientist, perhaps without understanding this, quietly said some thing correctly: “humanity is not ready yet.’ They ‘were waiting for humans to ‘reach a stage where we will understand… .” “He has claimed how the aliens have helped prevent nuclear tragedy on Earth. That is, our desire to get closer to bestowal and love prevented catastrophes, and so on.

It turns out they are among us. Did they come from another planet, these forces?

Answer: They have not arrived and have not flown away, for them there are no problems of movement at all. Because they are like thoughts. Do thoughts fly somewhere? They can be anywhere; there is no limitation of space, time, or movement for them, of anything.

Question: What is your conclusion?

Answer: If we want to get out of the grip of our egoism, we will immediately feel ourselves out of time, out of space, out of speed, movement. Then we will begin to exist in a completely different geometry, in a different space. This is where we must come.

We will reveal a completely different universe, a different area, inhabited by forces but not bodies. Bodies are what we see today in our egoistic desires and properties. And so we paint images.

Question: Humanity has painted devils, devils with horns and tails. Is this all a selfish notion?

Answer: Of course. A representation of positive and negative forces.

Question: That is, negative—with a tail and horns?

Answer: Yes. And the positive ones are angels.

Question: How do you personally imagine aliens?

Answer: Today I imagine aliens more in the form of good forces that help us rise above our egoism and begin to feel this space above time, above movement, above all egoistic limitations.

Comment: So you must surrender to them so that they capture this Earth and everything will be over.

My Response: No! We must make it so that they capture it. We must help them, make sure that these good forces capture everything in us, outside of us, around us.

We must attract all the good forces possible to ourselves. This is the science of Kabbalah: how can we attract these good forces and force them through our desires, through our attempts, to work with us and among us.

Question: You say that the upper world cannot open to one person. This means that it is not perfect, but the spiritual world is perfect. What is the contradiction here?

Answer: No, this is not a contradiction. The fact is that the spiritual world is revealed in the correct sensation of a person. In our world, a person’s sensation is egoistic, closed, and limited. Therefore, we are simply not able to absorb the whole, enormous picture of nature.

We must make our perception unlimited, and for this, we need to learn to come out of ourselves. The exit from oneself is carried out in a group in which everyone can unite with others and thus create in oneself an unlimited desire to be fulfilled, in combination with others.

When a person, through unification with others, can expand his desires and capabilities at the expense of them, he at the same time becomes a real organ of perception of spiritual space, since it is not limited in any triaxial time frame. That is, it is a completely n-dimensional space. But how do you begin to perceive it? To do this, you need to adjust, to change.

Here a problem arises. We need to work on ourselves in order to create a sense of perception of the environment that would not introduce errors on the part of the perceiving person but would be absolutely correctly selected in his sensations: the object and what he perceives.

In other words, we need to reach such a level of perception where our sensation and the sensation of the world around us will be the same, equal. For this you need to work very hard on your egoism, get out of it, and rise above it.
