The Mediator Between The Souls And The Creator

961.1Question: The process of learning and acquiring integral skills is aimed at changing a person. A student needs to achieve such an approach to learning that he feels as if he were in a laboratory in which he researches himself. How do you take into consideration the individuality of each one? There are thousands of students in front of you, each with his own swiftness of receiving information, his own changes. Who do you focus on during the lectures?

Answer: No one. I am guided by the common field of all the students I see and know and the ones I do not see and do not know, all the souls that must connect to each other and to the Creator. And I am the mediator making this contact between them and the Creator.

Remark: In integral education, a person must first grasp a general picture, then conduct a comprehensive analysis of each detail, and after that link them together. Therefore, you often get angry when you try to explain the big picture and a person starts asking for some details.

My Comment: Yes, it really bothers me. It is a wrong approach to learning.

Question: In learning, there are three stages of mastering the material: knowledge, understanding, and attainment. How long, in your opinion, can it take to transform knowledge into sensory attainment?

Answer: It is hard to estimate. There are no dosage regulations for this.

See The Inner World Of The Other

198Question: It is said that the average person is able to grasp about 500 words per minute, and the average speed of oral speech is about 150 words per minute. It turns out that our brain fills everything else with all kinds of thoughts.

For example: during a lesson when I seem to be listening to something, my head is constantly swarming with thoughts that take me back to my childhood or to the future. What should I do in such situations? I try to hear something, I want to remember the information, but I cannot because of external thoughts.

Answer: The only thing you can do is to rise above your egoism. There is no other way. Applying the method of Kabbalah, you can rise above your ego, and then you will feel others.

Why don’t we see the upper world? Why don’t we see spiritual forces? It is because we are closed inside ourselves, and the spiritual world is everything that is going from us to others. But we do not feel it, we do not notice it.

Question: If I appreciate the person I listen to, will it help?

Answer: Yes. If you love him with corporeal love, you will listen carefully to him, absorb his words. However, this is not enough. There are still other means of communication: higher, spiritual ones, when you exit out of yourself and begin to feel the other regardless of your attitude toward him. By rising above yourself, above your egoism, you perceive him absolutely objectively.

This is a special technique that comes from the rule “love your neighbor as yourself .” If you treat your neighbor as you treat yourself, to this extent you will be able to hear him.

Moreover, you will see and hear what the person you love does not even expect—his inner world.

Wish Others Well

962.2Question: There is a popular quote ascribed to Buddha found on the internet: “We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.”

But a person remains a person, and he thinks about nonsense. How does one cleanse one’s mind from this?

Answer: This is possible only if I wish others well. I do not attempt to make myself and others good or bad. I try to think about goodness. That’s it! This takes constant training.

Question: People now become very sensitive, impatient, and easily take it out on others. Because of this, everyone suffers in families and in society. How do we handle excessive emotions?

Answer: Of course it would be good if more right-minded psychologists spoke on public channels. But a person, nonetheless, has to constantly train himself to think about everyone in a good way. And even if he is scolded, criticized, and angrily opposed, he must forgive people for this, and understand that our unhappy life makes them like that.

Question: What is a correct thinking psychologist? What is he or she supposed to be like?

Answer: This is a person who explains how to come to good. Without any inventions, without any theories, just be as kind to everyone as possible.

Fluctuations On The Spiritual Path

600.01Question: In integral education courses, first you must give students a common goal, guide them to know the world or at least to search. The goal should be clear, achievable, and specific. Along with this, we must check if the student is progressing correctly. Can attendance and active participation result from the fact that he is moving toward the goal?

Answer: Yes and no. In the process of study, great changes, fluctuations, rises and falls occur in him. So, it is impossible to determine this clearly at every moment.

Question: While studying, a person begins to realize the evilness of his egoistic nature, how different he is from the ideals and principles that we study. Could this be the result of advancement?

Answer: This is one of the results. If a person does not feel and does not realize himself as an egoist, then he has not revealed himself.

Question: The most reliable indicator of progress is joy, a sense of fulfillment from the process itself. Can this be considered a result?

Answer: Sometimes. It happens that a person gets frustrated. Moving forward consists of a very clear, consistent change in states, moods, and events. Otherwise, there is no progress. It always includes descents, ascents, circuits.

Question: At a certain stage, a person begins to reconsider their values in life. Moreover, material values fade into the background. How do you determine what is necessary and what is not?

Answer: Everyone decides for themselves. This is completely irrelevant to the purpose of life. It is about necessities.

We Don’t Hear Each Other

565.02Question: Everyone needs to be able to listen. Parents should listen to their children. Children should listen to their teachers who give them assignments. A manager needs to listen to his subordinates, and so on.

Most people consider themselves very good listeners. I read research that shows only 10% of people have the ability to listen to others. What is the reason? Why do people think they can listen, but we see the opposite?

Answer: Because one plays along with his ego, wants everyone to see how friendly, attentive, and responsive he is. In fact, he wants to listen only to himself, see only himself, and justify only himself. Therefore, it is very difficult for us to communicate with each other well. We cannot hear each other.

Despite the fact that today there are all kinds of methods of video and audio connection, we should check just how connected we are to each other. We have not become any more sociable. We can sit and listen to various programs that supposedly connect us to each other, but we cannot hear or see anyone but ourselves.

Question: There is a basic rule of interpersonal relations that says that the meaning of a message cannot be clearly understood. On a physiological level, we are unable to grasp this message.

In the research I read about, it was established that our audio perception is only 25% effective. Even in informal conversations with friends only 60 to 70% of the information is absorbed.

What is the reason for this gap? There are things that egoism is receptive to.

Answer: It does not matter what the ego is receptive to or not. Since everyone is wrapped up in self-love and wants to feel only themselves, whatever reaches us is still interpreted incorrectly and therefore remains somewhere in the air.

What Will Protect Our Children?

632.3Question: Today, children are not in any hurry to leave their parents’ home. They are not in a hurry to get married. Times are difficult, and there is no work. In Europe, this is often the case. You live with your parents, and they provide everything for you.

Is there such a rule about when a child should leave home?

Answer: I think that for males it is from the age of 13, 14 at the maximum. They should leave home, live in dormitories, and learn to live under serious supervision. Then they will be fine.

Question: What does it mean to learn to live? What does it mean to teach them to live from the age of 13 or 14?

Answer: It means to treat each other correctly, in mutual assistance! To treat life correctly, to know what we want from it.

Each should realize themselves in your their way! I must have a task in which I realize myself. It may not be the same as for my friends who are sitting next to me. Everyone has their own dream. This dream is in front of me, and I attain it. They help me realize it.

We are taught. We are taught science, we are taught to dance, we are taught how to flirt, and we are taught everything in the correct way. Everything that a person has is only in the correct form. Then we would see a different society.

Question: Why specifically dancing and flirting?

Answer: Because this is really the pinnacle of the relationship between the sexes, when I express my inner feelings in my movement. We do not teach expressing our feelings. Here we do it through motion. This is very difficult, deep philosophy. Ballet, stage play is all philosophy.

Question: Is there, in fact, as if some kind of conversation occurs when you dance with a partner?

Answer: Yes, of course.

Question: Are you not disturbed by this closeness of the partners?

Answer: No. This is how they talk to each other. This is not intimacy, but the transfer of energy, sensations, tenderness of a different kind, not a physiological one.

Question: Do you mean that when there is this kind of education, people will not be violent?

Answer: They will not be violent, no way. They will respect women.

Question: Will there be a sense of the other, without words?

Answer: Yes. They will have a sense of support.

Question: It is a big deal. Perhaps we should indeed introduce dancing at schools?

Answer: Dancing is about support, when a man supports a woman and gives her the opportunity to express herself. In general, this is so. Look how it is in ballet or dancing in general. In dancing, this already been erased a little, but in general this is exactly so.

Remark: You know, there was an interview with the ballerina Plisetskaya shortly before her death. She was asked, “What is your biggest dream? What would you most like?” She said, “I want Shchedrin [her husband] to be healthy.”

Can you imagine? That is, there was already such a connection, and they both gave each other so much. Indeed, it was as if a dance was happening between them. She understood what a partner is.

My Comment: Ballet is a very deep philosophy expressed in movements. This is everything that a person can express. Contact of the hearts through the motions of the body.

Question: Is it desirable for a boy to leave home for an independent life at the age of 13 or 14?

Answer: A  life that we provide for him!

Question: Does it mean that he is under care?

Answer: All the time.

Question: Is he directed to connection with others, to the understanding of others?

Answer: Until his very last moment in life. Society continuously accompanies everyone! This is called “the absolute mutual guarantee.”

Question: Does society provide a guarantee for him?

Answer: Of course. And he undertakes to obey society.

Question: Then there will be no abandoned, lonely people that we see here and there?

Answer: There will be nothing like that! People will be aware to such an extent in what environment they exist! It will be a different world.

Question: What about a woman, a girl, when should she leave home?

Answer: What can be more secure, pleasant, safe, and confident for her than the feeling of such a society that thinks about who she will marry, how she will treat her children, home, family, her raising children, and so on? The whole society must think together with her.

It will be a common umbrella that will cover us and serve us all until the mutual guarantee covers us all with such a common blanket. All of humanity! Then we will become one single desire in which one great upper force is revealed. That’s all.

Information Is A Message

254.02Question: Any speech addressed to several listeners can be considered a public speech. It can be informative, entertaining, or promotional. Which of these can your daily lessons be related to? You do not just transmit information like at a university.

Answer: On one hand, my lessons are public performances because representatives of all nations, professions, and strata of different countries from all continents connect to them.

On the other hand, these are lectures because during a lesson we perform analysis of material with questions and answers. Usually, the lecture is held on a specific topic, which is divided into several small topics of interest to Kabbalah students.

Any information passes through a person’s desires and thus forms and changes him. My task is precisely for a person, by working on himself, to begin to change.

Question: But are you interested in him knowing the subject?

Answer: Sure. This is the most important thing. I teach not for gaining huge knowledge but quality of perception. The result depends on the person. And I must give everything I can in the form closest to correct perception.

Question: Does it make a difference whether one is listening to your lectures live or recorded?

Answer: It all depends on the perceiver. When reading books or watching recorded movies we can cry, laugh, worry. They affect us perhaps even more than scenes from real life.

Question: Indeed, a book was written a few hundred years ago and now a person reads, experiences it, and even cries. Is there some kind of energy in the book?

Answer: It is information, it is energy, it is a message!

Question: But when this happens online, does nothing really change? Let’s say we are talking now and someone will listen to our conversation in a week. Does it have the same effect?

Answer: It doesn’t matter. This information is in the air, and those who connect to it perceive it as if we are talking to them today.

This Powerful Word—Father!

543.02Remark: Scientists have been studying the causes of high incidences of crime in the world for forty years. It turns out that it is not a matter of poverty or starvation. It was proved that criminals are mainly those who have no fathers.

Scientists write that without a father figure, children acquire the habit of not thinking about the well-being of other people. The transfer of family values from generation to generation is broken.

Answer: If a child does not have a father, it is, of course, a very serious detriment in their life, in their upbringing, in their perception of reality, in everything. A mother cannot replace a father.

Question: That is, he seemingly had everything: an elite school, a wonderful environment of children, but no father, and that did it! He can commit a crime, even the most terrible one.

What is it about the father figure from the Kabbalistic point of view?

Answer: This is how a child learns; he looks up to the father. This restricts him, shows him the way he should be, how he should think and act. He feels this father figure internally.

Question: Does the father exist in order to set an example for the child?

Answer: Any example, no matter what kind.

The fact that I have a father puts me on my feet, shows me the way. Even if it is wrong, I will be able to make adjustments, but at least, I have a point of reference.

Question: Does something disappear from me when the father leaves?

Answer: There is no foundation, only emptiness, no base. As if I have nothing to stand on.

Question: Does a child have this concept: father—mother?

Answer: Of course. A boy must have a father. It is of paramount importance. Otherwise, he has to make him up, create him in his thoughts and dreams, no matter how, but he has to be there.

Question: Can a stepfather replace him?

Answer: A good stepfather can. A good stepfather is someone who rekindles in a child the almost natural sense of connection with him as with a father.

Question: If we depict all of humanity like a child that does not feel the Creator, can we say that it exists without a father?

Answer: We have to revive in ourselves this need to feel our father, the Creator, strive toward Him, try to reveal Him, and make Him into a symbol of perfection for ourselves. It is Him we should follow and become similar to.

Question: Do we feel that He has left us?

Answer: No, He did not leave us. He is hiding on purpose so that we develop all the qualities within us that will make us similar to Him. To the extent of this similarity, He will reveal Himself. Take an example from this and see how a father should act toward his child.

Remark: So, we do have a father?

Answer: He exists and He is forcing us to look for Him, to find Him, and adhere to Him.

The Goal of Nature And How To Achieve It

292Question: Does nature have a goal and what is it?

Answer: The goal of nature is to bring man and all of mankind to perfection.

Question: What are nature’s plans for the near future?

Answer: This is exactly what they are. We have already reached such a level of development that only the last stage remains ahead of us.

Question: Should we just believe this or is it possible to check it out?

Answer: No, there is no way to check this out. We need to implement this.

Question: What are the risks of deviating from the goal? If we deviate a little, will we not be able to achieve it? What should we be afraid of?

Answer: In any case, we will reach the final goal. There is no doubt about it. Nature makes no mistakes; it still leads us forward. However, it wants us to understand, recognize, accept, and implement this goal with its help, but as independently as possible.

Question: What should we be afraid of?

Answer: There is nothing to be afraid of. Only of ourselves.

Envy Increases Wisdom

629.3Question: What does the expression of the sages “Envy increases wisdom” mean? What is it about?

Answer: It means that when I look at the sages, my envy of them pushes me toward studying and learning in order to become like them.

It is written that “envy, lust, and honor take a person out of this world,” that is, elevate him to a higher degree than the one at which he is now.

Remark: Aristotle noted that people mostly envy those who are close to them in time, place, age, and fame.

My Comment: Naturally, after all, I cannot envy those who lived a few thousand years ago.

I must have some common levels of understanding and feelings with a person I envy. Julius Caesar or Tamerlane are too far away and incomprehensible to me. I have to imagine the object of envy, understand what I would feel in his or her place, and then I can envy.
