The Revolution Of The 21st Century: “Down To The Foundations” Is Not Our Method

laitman_547_06(Continued from the “Revolution Of The 21st Century: Rich Man, Poor Man”)

Having engaged the people, the integral methodology will, in fact, lead to reducing the gap between the rich and poor; it will  become acceptable and no one will see it as unbearable. The familiar feeling as if the rich rob us will disappear.

As part of the new relationship, without any negative incentives, the rich themselves will be willing to share more than you can imagine today. Their contribution to society will be enormous.

We are talking about successful people who, under the new conditions, will be able to manage society correctly and integrally including the interests of the weaker sections of the population. The poor are incapable of this. Only their children and grandchildren will be able to become good managers.

Thus, in addition to social learning, nothing else will help. It’s either the one or the other. Gradually, the poor will realize that they need the skills and abilities of the rich, and the rich will realize that they must serve the poor. As a result, both parts of society will be imbued with unity and love, and confidence in the future.

There is no other solution.

For example, in Russia, the October Revolution completely destroyed the previous system down to the foundations, and the dire consequences of this are still being felt. You cannot put a housewife in the leadership of the country.

The same thing is happening in the Israeli Knesset: Some journalists become politicians and lawmakers. Moreover, he strives to become the Prime Minister. On what basis? Indeed, one, must first graduate from several universities, take special courses, and gain experience.

In the West, it is done in this way. Not everyone can be a good head of state or a minister or member of parliament. However, here eloquence replaces true qualifications.

Does The World Need Money?

laitman_600_04Question: In what way is it possible to help the world other than with money?

Answer: The world has no need for money; instead it needs people who understand this world. There is no connection to money here.

Money is received for some potential, some possibilities, but if this doesn’t come along with intelligence, then it only harms the world. Money enslaves a person. The person who is most free is someone who has nothing, but also has no need for anything.

Suppose that a billion dollars “fell” on you now. You would sit from morning to night thinking about what to do with this and with that; your freedom would end So, truly great people, authors, artists, and musicians were always afraid of too much money, only enough so that there would be means for them to work.

The Revolution Of The 21st Century: Rich Man, Poor Man

Laitman_130The economic gap between different segments of the population is not new to Israel. However, over the last decade, they have seriously expanded. It is no wonder that the exacerbating inequality begets another no less natural phenomenon: the hatred of the rich.

Generally, wealth and poverty is an eternal leitmotif of human society. Nowadays, however, this issue becomes much more emotional.

Not long ago, we respected the financial elite, be they successful entrepreneurs or the heirs of large fortunes. They appeared in the news, in articles, and books were written about them.

However, recently a new attitude has formed, accompanied by severe criticism of them and sometimes by hatred and antagonism. To some extent, they are perceived as enemies.

Here, we involuntarily recall the French Revolution with the famous saying, “Let them eat cake.” At the time, the phrase symbolized alienation, isolation of the elites from the people.

Today, this gap has become so large that the former respect sometimes turns into hostility, the same type that once led to revolutions.

Basically, it refers not only to Israeli society, especially in the economy and in other aspects; we are adopting Western customs.

laitman_568_01Learn the Language of Politicians

Question: Can we turn with our message to world leaders and give them example of the economic benefit of social unity? Is such unity also good for the government?

Answer: Yes, if it flows well and smoothly, without threatening the elites, then it is a good idea. This is because in a cohesive society, passions calm down, violence decreases, and conflicts fade. If today’s leaders were to tilt their ears toward the wisdom of Kabbalah and understand the mechanism of what is happening, then this would be another matter. However, they see their situation even more distorted than the economists. An economist follows his theories and ideas. If they don’t work, he finds others. On the other hand, people who manage the nation, any nation, possess a limited collection of monetary means and aggressive structures. On that basis, their mutual internal relationships are also built. Politicians don’t understand any other language. That is how they are built. Specifically as a result of aggressive opposition, they penetrate upward, and accordingly, the most brutal of them finds himself above them all. That is how the laws of egoistic society work.

Not A Revolution But Change

Question: Who, exactly, will begin to unite in its framework? Principally, from where will the process begin, from below or from above?

Answer: First of all, this process will not begin under pressure from one side or another. When people will learn the method of unity, they will understand how it is necessary to arrange mutual relationships, and even in the beginning, there will not be many—let’s say ten percent and after that fifteen or twenty—but this will change the face of the nation. Undercurrents will influence all the rest, for we are interconnected in an entirely integral system, and when I change, inevitably I change you.

If we truly learn about unity most of the day, then we will create a more intense force that will influence the nation through acquiring a new basis, a new spirit. It will be possible to feel it everywhere: Suddenly before everyone’s eyes, people will appear who feel themselves connected with everyone. That is how we will influence the middle class and the elite.

Realistic Benefit

Question: There are key figures who stand at the head of the regulatory institutions, the communications media, and other institutions that determine the way the wind blows in the nation. In what way can we interest them, other than total relaxation? Do we have some further economic or social message?

Answer: Certainly, we can show the leadership of the nation and the economists the real numbers, the calculations of profit that the nation will gain if ten or twenty percent of the population would compose a network of good mutual relationships between them.

This will reduce national expenditures, eliminate the black market, strengthen the institution of the family, reduce the amount of events that demand the involvement of all kinds of authorities and police, and so forth. In such a way, this is talking about a savings in means and resources on a large scale, and the main thing is that we reach balance! An entire sector of the nation will be satisfied with life not according to the polls, but truly. In the opposite case, there would be a need to spend much more to maintain at least an elementary level of satisfaction for the population.

World War Is No Solution For The Global Crisis

laitman_220Opinion (Konstantin V. Sivkov, Doctor of Military Sciences, VP of the Academy of Geopolitical Problems, military expert):  “The global economic crisis is one of the results of the geopolitical changes that are happening in the 21st century. Destruction of the bipolar model of the world and changes in status of many nations are leading to major conflicts between nations and coalitions.

“The present world order is no longer appropriate for the new reality. This contradiction stands at the heart of the continuing and growing crisis, which is being realized most clearly in the economic arena. So there is a perception that the present crisis is a global economic crisis.

“The reason for the failure of the actions for getting out of the crisis is that the global economic crisis is only an expression of the crisis of civilization that encompasses all aspects of modern human life.

“The contradictions that have caused the global crisis of civilization:

  1. Between the growth of production and the available resources.
  2. Between the rich developed nations and the poor developing nations.
  3. Between the national and international elites.
  4. Between the scope of the world financial bubble and the scope of the real economy.
  5. Between the lack of morality of the free market and the spiritual foundations of civilizations.

“The gaps and contradictions that have caused the crisis in civilization encompass all areas of human activity; so the changes in society that are designed to solve it must extend over the entire world order – meaning that it is necessary to build a qualitatively new world order.

“This happened as a result of the first and second World Wars. The developing crisis could lead to a new global war on the spiritual foundation of the new world order, its basis being:

  • Individualism, egoism, oppression, survival at the expense of others,
  • Communal activity, the dominance of shared interests over private interests, the principle of coexistence through mutual support.

“This is the qualitative difference between a third World War and the two previous wars which were basically about a new economic division of the world.”

My Comment: Precisely because the third World War would be ideological, it can happen on the ideological front, not the military front because it is not necessary to conquer anything physically. The world has become borderless, and ideologically we can already fight now—through the dissemination of the method of unifying humanity into a single system.

A Society Without Competition

Laitman_025_02According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, instead of conflicts, revolutions, and wars, the time has come to devise another system of good social relationships, which will solve all of these terrible situations in the world. The key means is the correct cohesion of society, making it possible, along with our egoistic negativity, to activate the positive force of unity that is latent in nature.

For this it is necessary to create a comprehensive educational system and by training people to take the format workshops around a roundtable. In these workshops people will begin to change, not through coercion, but on their own. After all, they will see that it is possible to establish a society that is not based on the negativity of egoistic competition in which the strongest wins, but on unity.

Just as in a cohesive family, the strong don’t oppress the weak. On the contrary, love dwells among them, and the small receive more concern and attention than those who are already able to satisfy their needs to some degree by themselves. So we also activate two forces in a family, but there our love is caused by nature itself. On the other hand, what must we do in situations where the relationships between us are based upon selfish egoistic calculations and not on love? How do we transform a competitive individualistic society into a loving family?

Certainly it is not through pressure, but specifically with the help of study and a unique education, in which people will feel real benefit from new relationships and will notice the success inherent in them. Besides this, it is desirable to remember that nature manages our development, and we can never just do what comes to us. When we are subject to the natural impulses of narcissism, we ourselves “leap into a flaming fire.”

No, the development of humanity is subject to strict laws that we have not chosen. We never had freedom of choice about this. From the beginning of the universe until today, the inner “engine” has pushed evolution forward without depending on our wishes. So it is worthwhile for us to learn about the natural processes and understand how to integrate into their current in the right way.

The End Of The Old Economy

laitman_546_02Question: The results of the present reforms look disappointing. But why don’t people lose optimism? They always hope that the next reform will change their lives for the better.

Answer: The problem is that people don’t want to change. The main reason and the key to the solution is concealed in the following dilemma:

  • Either change the world,
  • Or change yourself, adapt yourself.

So far we have followed only one system of mutual egoistic relationships. It elevated those who were more successful or powerful, those who made more profits, and on the contrary, it lowered the oppressed. But this could not be if we considered at least the small Jewish people living in Israel as a single family. Nature itself presents other requirements to us. And this means that we need to think about change, about how to adapt the egoistic system of the Israeli society to the new reality.

Everything depends on education: it is necessary to teach people and systematically lead them towards unity specifically through social reforms. Everyone already agrees with this because we have “hit a wall,” and nothing other than changes in society will help us.

Question: Does this mean that we require radical innovations?

Answer: Not at all. It is only necessary to add a tendency towards a social orientation to our lives, to give the highest importance to social relationships, which requires systematic work.

Question: How do people come to this understanding? Even the disappointment of failed reforms doesn’t evoke thinking about the need for social changes. The power games go on as if nothing happened.

Answer: People don’t see the system in which they are living. Instead of global solutions, a person prefers a “tangible” increase in his monthly income. But there hasn’t been a real addition and there won’t be. Even if the Americans were to become philanthropic and allocate another ten billion dollars per year to Israel, nothing good would come of it.

However, a person habitually leaves uncompleted projects and moves on to the next. Day after day, we wake up every morning with new hopes; generations pass, and the struggle for money and power continues.

This routine will end when we truly begin to fight with each other. This has already happened in our history; the fraternal strife is worse than today’s conflict with our neighbors in the area.

In this era, people aren’t able to realize the new ideas themselves, as something new; we must give it to them because it is not inherent in human nature. In part, they realize that good “familial” relationships in society can improve their lives. But they lack the real approach to achieve this.

So we must create new educational systems, open courses, and create educational frameworks that explain to a person what true unity is.

For millions of years evolution was driven by only one, negative egoistic force; Successful is because of stronger muscles or through intellect and emotion. However, now it is necessary to stand against this and draw the other force on which true unity is based. This force is concealed in nature itself but it is truly concealed, hiding from us. It is concealed, and so the wisdom of Kabbalah, which explains how to work with it, is also called a “secret science.”

It speaks about the positive force of unity, about the “plus” that balances the “minus.” And we can pull out this positive force with the help of a special unity through a technology, which is described in the wisdom of Kabbalah. The time has come to do this and begin to arrange for good connections between us. It is not necessary to eliminate the negative ego; it is only necessary to balance it. And so, through the balance of the two forces, we live between them so that we use the two “poles” correctly.

And so, if until now all of our theoretical programs and views, everything that we have done in politics and in the economy, has been based on only one force, now we need to activate the second force. And this will make it possible for us to understand how by integrating them correctly we can design a new society. No wars or revolutions; on the contrary, it will be a smooth transition from the state of “one line,” “standing on one leg,” to normal advancement “on two legs.” All of this is described in the wisdom of Kabbalah. And so it is being revealed in our day. The situation has been created today because we really need it.

Man—The Redundant Element In The System

Dr. Michael LaitmanOpinion (Vasily Tyutin, publicist): “We are on the verge of a new socioeconomic order. Excessive productivity and production are growing, and the crisis we are facing will be about machines and robots replacing man in different jobs.

“We will not need one another. Man will be unable to sell his work and will only be a potential consumer. Billions will be unable to offer something to one another or to the system, becoming totally useless, looking for food and social services. The major global means for regulating the system will be regulating the population or waging wars that will eliminate redundant people. The alternative version of the future can be a system that doesn’t abuse redundant people.”

My Comment: The future social system will be integral, based on complete voluntary and equal relationships, in the likeness of the structure of the upper governance of the world. We will learn how to build and manage this social structure by practically accepting and implementing the science of Kabbalah.

Compulsory Studies For All

laitman_600_02In the News (from World Crisis): “Today even minimal wages which should theoretically suffice in order to live a modest life doesn’t allow a person to break the poverty circle. Minimum wages for a full time job, 40 hours a week, doesn’t allow a person to cross the poverty line.”

“Democrats seek to raise the minimum wage… . Republicans argue that this has would have a negative effect, because it would lead to a reduction in the number of jobs and unemployment – the load is distributed among the workers, who did not get fired.

“Regardless of who is right in this situation, there is one indisputable fact: Today, a lot of families depend on government assistance. In other words, the minimum wage in working full-time is not enough to cross the poverty line.

“Indeed, a new study of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development shows that in 21 of 26 states, which set the minimum wage, work, working 40 hours a week is not adequate for the normal means of supporting one’s family. Of the 34 countries belonging to the OECD, minimum wage does not allow coping with poverty. In Spain, you need to work more 72 hours a week to avoid poverty. It turned out that this is the norm, not the exception.”

My Comment: The world must abandon the old approach to work, wages, pension, and other social services. We have to start relating to society as to one whole, and in any case, to provide all the necessary conditions for existence outside the principle “who does not work does not eat.”

It is necessary to link the receipt of benefits to participating in a course of the wisdom of connection. Participating in the course will be considered everyone’s obligatory job.

As for people who work in order to provide society’s needs, society will choose specific people for these jobs. We have to disconnect the receiving benefits from work and to tie it to the a person’s participation in a course of the wisdom of connection.

Robots Instead Of People

laitman_547_01In the News (from scmp.com): “Construction work has begun on the first factory in China’s manufacturing hub of Dongguan to use only robots for production, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

“A total of 1,000 robots would be introduced at the factory initially, run by Shenzhen Evenwin Precision Technology Co, with the aim of reducing the current workforce of 1,800 by 90 per cent to only about 200…

“Robots are set to take over in many factories in the Pearl River Delta, the area of southern China known as the ‘world’s workshop’ because of the huge export manufacturing industry there, as labour shortages bite and local authorities face the need to spur innovation to counter the economic slowdown.

“Since September, a total of 505 factories across Dongguan have invested 4.2 billion yuan in robots, aiming to replace more than 30,000 workers, according to the Dongguan Economy and Information Technology Bureau.

“By 2016, up to 1,500 of the city’s industrial enterprises will began replacing humans with robots.

“The provincial authorities of Guangdong said early this year they would spend 943 billion yuan on replacing human labour with robots within the next three years. …

“The provincial capital, Guangzhou, has set a goal of fostering a robot-manufacturing industry with an output value of more than 100 billion yuan by 2020, as well as automating more than 80 per cent of the city’s manufacturing production.”

My Comment: The development of robotic technologies should lead to a reduction in the number of laborers and a reduction in the work week. But this isn’t happening because the ruling class recognizes that people with free time are dangerous: They begin to demand change in the social structure.

Society prefers us to work more instead of increasing our free time so we can increase our (superfluous) consumption, meaning that we will be involved in the creation of useless things and carrying out meaningless activities just to be busy. Workplaces are intentionally created to employ us. Every year more and more people are forced to engage in meaningless work, but endless economic growth on Earth is limited; it is impossible. We will have to return to an equivalent exchange market and produce only essential goods.
