Reach The State Of Shabbat

294.3Zohar for All, Item 444: Remember the Sabbath Day, to Keep it Holy

Saturday is Sabbath, which comes from the word “Lishbot” (to rest, to stop working). This does not mean a strike, but an abrupt cessation of all activities, and it implies actions for the correction of the soul.

The state of achieving complete correction of the soul is called “Shabbat” – Sabbath. Over the long history of the world, we have been moving toward the correction of our souls. This is the first generation that has begun to do so, and Kabbalah is revealed to everyone.

Detachment is becoming apparent in the world today, it’s all inclusive nature is manifesting, and all for the sole purpose of leading a person to complete despondency, to the need to open his soul and begin to develop it.

We can say that we are now on the eve of Shabbat. That is, from the first revelation of the Creator to Adam, who lived 5,781 years ago, until the end of the whole program, which runs for 6,000 years, there are only 219 years left. But you can reach the Sabbath state earlier.

It is a state where the whole world rises to the next degree, to the feeling of eternity, infinity, and perfection.

We can accomplish this critical transition in a very easy, beautiful way if we explain to everyone what the science of Kabbalah allows us to do and how it is easily and simply implemented.

If we do not choose to advance the easy way, we will still have to reach the sixth day—the state of eternity and perfection, the elevation of our souls—but through very harsh, drastic, dramatic events that may involve world wars.

“Remember the Sabbath Day” means remember that we exist in a temporary state and that we must make all the corrections during our lives in order to reach the eternal and perfect state. Therefore, “remember” means “implement.” Every moment you should implement this idea and move closer to it.

The Ten Is A Channel For The Light

934What turns the ten into a channel for the light? If the ten connects through understanding the sources, understanding the goal, and connects, on one hand, to the Creator and, on the other hand, to the external desires, then it turns into a channel for the light.

In the article “The Arvut” (Mutual Guarantee), it is written that the people of Israel serve as a channel for transmitting the upper light to all of humanity.

The Transition From A Narrow Circle To The Wide World

214If I am not included in the ten, I cannot effectively impact the world and lead it to correction, because without the ten it is impossible to attract the light that reforms. Alone, I can only transmit theoretical knowledge to the world.

But in any case, it is worth starting to disseminate. If a person has a spiritual spark and is connected to the Bnei Baruch world group, then through it, he will receive the light and will be able to influence the outside world through himself.

Dissemination is when I turn into a channel through which the upper light can reach the uncorrected desires and influence them. If we speak in the ten about our desire to unite, then we connect with each other and through this unity, on one hand, we connect to the Creator, and on the other hand, we connect with the outside world, by wanting to connect one with the other.

This connection is not carried out by explaining the method of correction to people. We simply speak about connection, unity, the future of the world, the purpose of creation, and how it helps us in life and gives answers about the purpose of our existence.

The main thing is to understand that our goal is to correct the Kli of Adam HaRishon, to return it to its perfect state. And that is why the dissemination of Kabbalah is so important today. After all, we have come to what is  called the last generation, that is, the last, general correction. We are right at the transition point from the wisdom of Kabbalah being implemented within a small group, a ten, to the widespread distribution of Kabbalah in the masses, covering the whole world.

This is facilitated by the general state of the world due to the global coronavirus pandemic and other cataclysms in which the world will be drawn more and more. The world will have to go through a very difficult process and experience many unpleasant states. When the upper light approaches us according to the natural course of time and a predetermined program of development, and we are not ready for it, then its approach brings us troubles and problems.

If we are ready for it, then the light will advance us in a good and pleasant way. Therefore, the next decade can be good or bad depending on how much we unite together and connect with the upper light in order to spread the wisdom of Kabbalah through us, that is, to become a channel through which the upper light will affect the entire population of the earth.

Perfection Of The World Is Perfection Of A Person

947The perfection of the world depends on the inner perfection of a person, that is, on the connection of people with each other. In the beginning, connection takes place in the tens that are consciously working on their correction, but eventually the entire world should join them.

We are talking about a general complete connection because to the extent of this connection above all the disturbances we come to a general correction, and only under this condition can we expect a good life for everyone.

To reach the final correction, we need to attract the reforming light to the entire world. That is why it is so important to disseminate Kabbalah. And dissemination is not just the publication of materials in the mass media, but influencing the world with a special light from above, which we want to bring through our Kli, through all the tens, in order to awaken the desire for spiritual advancement, for connection, for the attainment of the upper world, in the rest of people.

It does not matter what a person feels and what he does, but in the end, all the inhabitants of this world without exception will have to at least to some extent engage in general corrections, and thus correct their souls.

“Dozens Of Reasons To Unite” (Linkedin)

My new article on Linkedin “Dozens of Reasons to Unite

“The prime defense against calamity is love and unity,” writes Rabbi Kalman Halevi Epstein in the book Maor VaShemesh. “When there are love, unity, and friendship between each other in Israel, no calamity can come over them. …Even if they worship idols, but there is bonding among them, and no separation of hearts, they have peace and quiet, and no Satan or evildoer, as by this [unity], all the curses and suffering are removed.”

The Book of Zohar, the seminal book in the wisdom of Kabbalah, was written in that spirit, the spirit of love and unity. In the portion Ki Tissa, the book writes, “All those friends who do not love each other depart the world before their time. All the friends in Rashbi’s time had love of soul and love of spirit among them. …Rabbi Shimon would say, ‘All the friends who do not love each other cause themselves to stray from the right path.’ …Abraham loved Isaac; Isaac loved Abraham; and they were embraced. And they were both gripped in Jacob with love and brotherhood… The friends should be like them and not blemish them, for if love is lacking in them they will blemish their value above.”

Last night, a tragedy of historic proportions struck the people of Israel, as dozens of people were crushed to death on the tomb site of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (Rashbi), author of The Book of Zohar. They came there because last night, some nineteen centuries ago, Rashbi and his disciples completed the writing of this book of love and unity. But there, instead of love and unity, thousands were crushed in the stampede, and dozens lost their lives.

The pain and shock are indescribable. It is a time of deep sadness for the whole nation. But when we rise from the grieving, we must take the one and only action that can prevent such tragedies from reoccurring. We must do what our sages throughout the ages have advised us: unite above all our different colors, cultures, beliefs, and opinions.

Masechet Derech Eretz Zuta (Chapter 9), written at approximately the same time as the Talmud, is one of numerous statements in that spirit: “Even when Israel worship idols and there is peace among them, the Lord says, ‘I have no wish to harm them.’ …But if they are disputed, what is it that is said about them? ‘Their heart is divided; now they will bear their guilt.’” Similarly, Rabbi Shmuel Bornstein writes in the book Shem MiShmuel (VaYakhel): “When they [Israel] are as one man with one heart, they are as a fortified wall against the forces of evil.” But perhaps the most fitting on this mournful day are the words of the Talmud (Taanit 23a): “This is what people say: ‘either friendship or death.’”

Not Asking For A Miracle

566.02Why should Kabbalists convince people instead of influencing them in some miraculous way and attracting them to correction? The fact is that a miracle is not a correction but an action from above, just as the Creator did when He created the entire world. These were all miracles.

Our work, however, should be such that we do not need miracles and do not ask for them. Even if we have the opportunity to ask for a miracle, we will not do it because it would steal from us the opportunity to make efforts and show our devotion and loyalty to the Creator, the desire to become like Him.

The Creator does not think that He performs miracles, He simply acts above the matter, above the will to receive. Yet, in our will to receive, which is not ready for such corrections, it is perceived as a miracle: above matter, above reason, above time, movement, and space. However, for the spiritual world, there is nothing miraculous about this, it’s just an ordinary action.

All History Is Preparation For The Present Moment

254.02The history of humanity is divided into two parts. All of history until our time is only a preparation. From us until the end of correction is the history of true correction.

It turns out that, in essence, it is only us that are in the process of true correction. Everything that was before us, because it was before the beginning of the dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah to the entire humanity, is considered just a period of preparation and nothing more.

It is only us that live in a time that is called the stage of practical correction of the soul, the era of correction of the world.

Therefore, the entire work of man also consists of two parts. The first one is the period of preparation when we prepare ourselves, groups, and tens for spiritual work. And the real spiritual work begins when we go out to the broad public to correct external desires.

Preparing for dissemination to the broad public is working with the Kelim of Galgalta ve Einaim, bestowal in order to bestow. When we go out to the general public spreading knowledge about the method of correction, absorbing the desires of external people in this way, and incorporating them within us, in these Kelim we can receive from above the revelation of the Creator, the illumination of Hochma. This is the true result of broad dissemination in the world.

New Life 1304 – Group Discussion

New Life 1304 – Group Discussion
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and NitzahMazoz

First and foremost, we all need to agree on our ultimate goal and that it should be important for us, even if we don’t like discussions. We need to ask ourselves what we are willing to concede and sacrifice in order to achieve the most important, common goal. Each one should integrate in the expectations and heart of the others, the warmth, security, and hope.

We come with an attitude of “each man shall help his friend” and mutual inspiration. The more we develop, the more the ego grows, and the more unbearable our discussions will become. We need to determine that connection with others opens up a perfect future for everyone and it is therefore our sublime, ultimate goal.

“What Is The Spiritual Meaning Of Receiving The Torah?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: What is the spiritual meaning of receiving the Torah?

Receiving the Torah means that a special force becomes revealed that helps us rise above our ego and align ourselves with the spiritual force of love, bestowal and connection.

If we wish to receive the Torah, then we must study it on ourselves. How else could we study it if not through our own experience, by gradually transforming from a tiny egoist to a big egoist, and then from a tiny altruist to a big altruist?

We can accept the method of correction called “the Torah” only when we understand that we will voluntarily transform ourselves in order to become spiritual, aligning ourselves with the quality of love, bestowal and connection for all.
