We are obliged to approach this whole subject from the thought and purpose of creation, from the perspective of the general, the whole picture. We cannot understand and know even a single part if we are not familiar with its place within the whole. Since all of reality is one system, there is no part that is not determined by the whole.

In general, all of creation, the entire desire to receive, defined as Malchut of the world of Infinity, must reach correction, equivalence of form with the Light of Infinity, meaning that it must increase itself 620 times through 125 levels. Accordingly, if we consider our world, it will be clear to us that all of the creatures that we see must reach the end of correction. We are talking about all of humanity, even if a few billion more people are added to the Earth’s population.

On the other hand, the still, vegetative, and animate nature are in adhesion with the Creator, for the instinctive force of nature that manages them is latent in them, without asking them at all.

In principle, free choice and the possibility of acting according to their desire without being connected directly with the Creator is given only to humans. This means that the opportunity is given to people to change themselves a little.

We still need to examine precisely how this ability is expressed in someone who yearns to be like the Creator. People like these are called “Israel,” which means straight to the Creator, “Yashar El.” And someone who doesn’t yearn for this is said to be part of the “nations of the world.” But ultimately, both they and the others must reach full equivalence of form with the Creator through cooperation between them.

In the course of development in our world, there are people, more precisely, desires, with such a yearning that has been prepared from birth. People like these (Israel) receive a push (a call) to discover the Creator, to approach Him, and reach adhesion with Him. They must do this first and the others will come after them; for ultimately everyone will reach their own final correction regarding the Creator.

The difference in the means for attaining the Creator is also derived from this. In general, the means is called the wisdom of Kabbalah. But Israel and the nations of the world use it and realize it differently. The time allotted for the entire process is 6000 years, during which, without a doubt, all of the creatures must reach adhesion with the Creator.

All of the still, vegetative, and animate nature ascend and descend on the ladder of adhesion together with the level of the speaking without any effort from their side. And people must advance individually and collectively from their free choice.

So there is a difference in disseminating the wisdom of Kabbalah to Israel and the nations of the world. A person who belongs to Israel feels an attraction and link to it; he feels that the opportunity for fulfillment is hidden here, so he is very happy to encounter the wisdom of Kabbalah. This is because from the start he has felt a deficiency that is expressed in the question: “What is the reason for living?”  At the moment he has no reason for living; he doesn’t sense any true “taste” and fulfillment in life; instead he always feels something is missing. In such a case, after he becomes familiar with the wisdom of Kabbalah, he discovers that he has found a means for fulfillment.

And the people who don’t feel that anything like this is missing and simply feel bad on the still, vegetative, and animate levels of development, can nevertheless feel a deficiency through which they can connect to the wisdom of Kabbalah. Clearly, they don’t need it at all, but the usual deficiencies that the Creator awakens in them, with the help of the general crisis, push them to search for a better life. So gradually they find a deficiency for higher things.

There are a number of reasons for this. One of them is that their daily deficiencies are still developing and the “point in the heart,” that was formerly concealed, now becomes revealed. And besides this, the desire to ascend can also be discovered as a result of integration with the people of Israel, meaning with the people who yearn for the Creator, and, together with them, they become one body, one vessel (Kli). This is the way that is designed for most of the nations of the world.

In any case, it is up to us to look at things correctly and also understand the reasons for the negative attitude of the nations of the world toward the people of Israel and the accusations against the people of Israel, that instead of bringing them pleasure, they bring them suffering, troubles, and problems. They blame Israel for every evil that exists in the world, and this points to a link between the nations of the world and Israel, and their interdependence also. Even though the nations of the world discover the connection in a more negative form, in spite of it all, this still speaks about how much they feel their dependence on the children of Israel.

So it is up to us to think carefully about how we can correct this situation and why the Creator arouses us and the nations of the world specifically in this way so that we will ultimately reach absolute adhesion with Him.

In the present stage, our dissemination focuses on the people of Israel. As Baal HaSulam explains in the end of the “Introduction to The Book of Zohar,” in the beginning of the process, the inner parts that yearn to discover the Creator are joined. After this those who have Reshimot (spiritual genes) remaining in them from their former ascents to bestowal and adhesion with the Creator from the days of the Beit HaMikdash (temple) will join them, meaning the collective vessel (Kli) with an intention for the sake of bestowal on the basis of union with Israel. So we must awaken those who are called a Jew by “passport” and not according to their aspiration.

And together with this, we must awaken all the nations of the world so that they will know the general process, because we are in the days of the Messiah, as Baal HaSulam and other Kabbalists write. Today we are talking already about the whole general correction so everyone must recognize the process of correction and share in it.

So it is up to us to disseminate the wisdom of Kabbalah to the whole world. After all, it is said that the redemption will specifically come thanks to the dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah and the dissemination of The Book of Zohar throughout the world. There is a need both in people who yearn for the Creator and are called Israel in spirituality, and also in people who belong to Israel in our world (the Jews) who don’t feel the yearning. As of today, everyone must understand the goal of creation.

So the Creator is arousing problems everywhere, including the threat of a third world war and the general crisis in nature and in human society. Through this, He awakens all people, all the nations of the world, to work to attain the goal. So our explanations must reach everyone without exception.

Question: It is typical that the heads of many organizations that come out against Israel are themselves Jews. How must we relate to this?

Answer: If we want to change the situation, we must work only among Jews and this will absolutely be enough. But it would be very useful if we would be helped from the outside.

Comment: One of the most tangible examples is an independent expert at the UN for the protection of human rights in the Palestinian territories, Richard Falk, best known for sympathizing with the Palestinians and his negative attitude towards Israel. The newspapers have called him “anti-Semitic.”

He is a member of an organization “Stop the War” that refers only to the war against the Palestinians and blames Israel with all its might. He is a highly educated person, a former professor at Princeton University, and at the same time, appears to be against Israel even though he himself is a Jew.

Answer: This is not a unique phenomenon. It would be worthwhile to bring the explanation to him, to send him our information, our pamphlets. Correction will come from both sides. The main thing is unification among the Jews, which must be discovered and expand, and then from them it will break out to the nations of the world.

But for the Jews to be able to consolidate and create this power of unification, they require help from the outside. This help can be negative, just as a threat from wolves force sheep to join together. And it could be positive help, from a good force, when the nations of the world help this unification and also want to join it. And then the Jews will unite, they will want to please the nations of the world and implement their demands.

This means that it is possible to attain this unification with good or with evil. Certainly it will be much better if the nations of the world will understand what is happening and demand that the Jews unite, they would declare that this is imperative for them and would even exert pressure and help in attaining this unification.

Such a level of awareness can be reached through our dissemination,turning the world toward a good way of evolution. So dissemination must be directed both toward the Jews and the nations of the world, but nevertheless, the main work is done among the people of Israel.

Question: The military operation, “Protective Edge,” and all the events related to it evoked a special feeling of connection in the Israeli nation. The Israeli nation unites every time we encounter an emergency, but this time the connection that was felt was extraordinary and especially strong and unprecedented.

It affected everyone, including small children and the elderly. There is a picture of a tank covered with children’s drawings that were sent to the soldiers. Strangers visited the wounded soldiers, helped their families, and sent packages to the front. There has never been an expression of mutual help on such a scale. What is the special feeling that awakened in the Israeli nation during this war?

Answer: There is a special concealed force in the Israeli nation, and I have even seen references to it in books and movies by directors who are not Israeli. There is a certain preparation for self-sacrifice in the Jewish people. It can be expressed in their attitude to science, to a particular profession, or to a certain matter. A person feels that he must devote himself totally to a certain idea. Although this phenomenon exists in every nation, it is still expressed more uniquely among the Jews. They express their loyalty, their connection, to the extent of self-sacrifice whenever they have an opportunity to do so.

A person doesn’t look for any reward and doesn’t care whether others know about his actions, talks about him, or remembers him as a hero. The readiness for self-sacrifice that stems from the history of the Jewish people suddenly awakens in a person.

We were connected in the past in the days of the First and Second Temples (which symbolize a whole vessel, one soul). This connection created a very deep, eternal connection that nourishes and fills us to this day. It invokes in us the special feeling between the individual and the nation of Israel, even if he were to do everything in his power to detach himself from the entire nation and escape to a remote place at the ends of the earth so that no one would know that he is a Jew, so that he would forget it and be like everyone else. However, he cannot do that since the connections between us are above this world and are on the level of the upper world. Thus, a person cannot cease to be Jewish, even if he may want to.

This connection is expressed even after several generations when the person, himself, doesn’t know that he is Jewish. I have met many such people. Especially in Spain and Portugal, I often meet people who claim they are not Jewish by birth, but that they feel they belong to the Jewish nation. They are the descendants of the converts who were forced to give up the Jewish religion under the threat of the expulsion from Spain, but the connection to the Jewish people still lives inside them.

It is a natural phenomenon that stems from the system of reality. The connection was gradually created on a very high spiritual level when everyone was connected in the state of one man in one heart, in one soul. The connection imprinted within us a special spiritual gene on a higher level than we are today, on the human level.

Therefore, we cannot break this connection because it is unchangeable, but only can be reconstructed. Thus, we wake up today as a result of different problems and troubles and return to the state of the internal connection.

There is no choice. We are connected, and fate, the Creator, awakens us. We have had enough pressures on the corporeal level—where we live on the animate level—and the feeling of the presence of the human level immediately awakens in us on a different, higher level. This is the level we were during the connection and  to which we can now return.

This internal connection exists among all the Jews and even in all the lost tribes of the time of the First Temple. There are many people in the world who belong to those lost tribes. The bodies are not reincarnated, but the soul remains the same soul. There is the same connection between us that is concealed, most internal, eternal, spiritual, and most sublime.

Today, the linear process of egoistic resettlement is over, and we are again placed in a contemporary type of Babylon because of the global network embraces the whole earth. Babylon has expanded to the entire world.

The overall egoism that governs everybody is in fact the current Nimrod. At this time, all we need is for Abraham to come and announce to us: “There is the way out!” Today, everybody experiences tremendous fear because we can destroy each other just to eat. The main human problem is hopelessness: people hate the mere fact of their existence.

Comment: But previously, in Abraham’s time, there were only five thousand people who listened to and followed him.

Answer: Those were the ones who felt hopeless and at the same time strived to find purpose in life. Today, this aspiration has surfaced ​in our consciousness and many of us can already feel and recognize it. It is no accident that depression is one of the most widespread diseases in the world.

Nevertheless, Abraham doesn’t show up today because all the people of Israel have to act as Abraham. Originally, Abraham’s group set an example to the whole of  humanity: “Here is what we can achieve.” Today, Abraham’s group demonstrates a very negative example in the inability of the Jews to work as a good model to the world and this triggers humanity’s hatred towards them. This is the root of anti-Semitism.

People subconsciously hate the Jews because they sense that they have to bring them joy, happiness, deliverance, and show them the way out. “We have to receive something good from them, but instead, they bring us affliction, disasters, and squalor.”

For many, the destruction of Israel at a purely egoistic, primitive level seems like a solution: “No Jews, no evil.”

In fact, the evil descends to the nations of the world through the Jews. They are not wicked, but they “transmit” wickedness, even though they don’t know it.

By blaming the Jews, the nations of the world acknowledge that they depend on them and that their lives are influenced by Abraham’s group. So, it proves that this small nation is stronger than the rest of the population of seven billion people. If the Jews manage to transition from a minus to a plus, humanity will receive the potion of life through them.

Question: Could you please explain the reason that nobody likes the Jew?

Answer: People have to know how to use this force. Their attitude towards the Jews is instinctive and naturally awakens them. That’s why even nations that have nothing to do with the Jews still hate them.

From “The Only Way Out”

It is useless and futile to talk about who, how, and why Israel and the Jews are hated, and everyone is already fed up with this question. The answers to these questions don’t solve the problem since they don’t answer the main question: “What is the reason for the hatred people feel towards the Jews?” Many anti-Semites and Jews look for and find endless reasons for this centuries-old hatred .

Yes, the Jews are known for their accomplishments in these areas and there is no argument about that, but bankers and Nobel Prize winners and even chess players aren’t the only Jews. Question: Why in relation to the recent developments in Israel, did the Jewish-American community become divided into two parts? Why do most influential Jewish individuals and organizations take an active anti-Israel stance?

The Jews will be always blamed even if they themselves take a clear anti-Israel stance. At the same time, nothing will help us but to show ourselves and to give the world the method of correct existence that it is waiting for.

Question: Why is what is allowed for any country in the world not allowed for Israel?

Answer: Of course! According to statistics, over the past few years about forty million people were killed in Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Libya, and Lebanon. But no one talks about it, raises the issue, or pays attention.

It is not about who is fighting whom, but the fact that the Jews who are supposed to bring the Light to the world are not doing so. Anti-Semites say: “You are the cause of all the suffering in the world.” So, it is not the Arabs because this was talked about before the establishment of Israel, before the war. In fact, this feeling is within a person who feels that he depends on our nation.

Answer: I do not think that anti-Semitism is hidden; it is even more up to date. Please pay attention, we produce food in abundance, and half of the world is starving; we can cure all diseases, but do everything to aggravate them and make money on health care, and so on. That is, the world cannot continue to exist in this way, especially in the age of new technologies. Therefore, almost 90% of people will become unemployed. What can we do?

The world needs a method of unity. Of course, anti-Semitism will increase, especially in America, because, compared with other countries, the American society is much more egoistic, and the next wave of serious anti-Semitism, both national and public, will be mainly manifested there.
