Question: There are many legitimate claims toward Israel in the world. Do you think the reason is anti-Semitism or anti-Zionism, the political difference of opinions?

Answer: The reason is not different opinions. People don’t want to be connected to Israel and to the nation of Israel, but they can’t erase their identification and stop being a Jew. However, at least, they can make every effort to prevent being declared as a Zionist. They can deny Zionism, but they can’t run away from their Jewish origin.

Question: However, they have specific claims toward Israel regarding politics, policy, and the privileges of man.

Answer: The anti-Semites camouflage themselves with justified claims. An anti-Semite can’t confess that he hates me because I am Jewish, so he finds excuses that justify his hate.

If Jews would realize their role on the globe—if they would come back to mutual love and show an example to the entire world, all of humanity, and realize the plan of Creation—then they would become a positive force in the world, but now they are a negative force.

Question: If the Jewish nation would return to love and bestowal, what would have happened to natural anti-Semitism?

Answer: If we would return to love and bestowal, and teach the entire world, then we would become the “light for the nations of the world” and anti-Semitism would disappear because the nations of the world would feel from inside that finally the Jews are doing what they must do.

The nations of the world don’t know the role of Jews, but they will see that the Jews must teach them how to use the second force of nature, the altruistic force of love, that can correct and calm the entire world and raise them to another degree, to bring them to the spiritual dimension, to an eternal and complete world.

Question: What would happen then to the natural hatred that is in the anti-Semitic heart?

Answer: He would not feel hate. To the contrary, he would feel love and gratitude toward the Jews because they exist and teach him. The nations of the world want to learn from us.

Through their claims that all problems come from Jews, they actually want to say that they can’t do anything against the Jews. They are only 0.2% of the population, but look at how many problems they are causing everyone. No one knows what to do with this nation.

They are scattered around the globe, but because of them, there are only problems. Everyone is worried because of Jews. No one speaks so much about the Americans, although, in quantity, they are millions, and only a few million are always in the center of the fight.

However, this situation can turn completely to the good side. The nations of the world will feel that we are the teachers that teach them how to live better, and that is what they expect from the Jews.

Listen to what they tell us: they claim that all the evil in the world comes from the Jews. Actually, it can be translated to other words, “We are weak and the Jews are strong. Look what they do with us. We are small and they are big because they can destroy life in the entire world. They are in total 15 million, and see what they cause to seven billion people. Can it be? However, this is exactly what is happening, and we don’t know what to do with them.”

The nations of the world tell us that they are weak and depend on us. And if we will not show them what we have, if we can show them through personal example what we have, then their attitude would change immediately.

If we want just to pass it to them, it will not work. They would think that again we want to cheat them. Therefore, first we need to arrange a good life between us as an example to all the rest of the world. This is called being a light for the nations of the world. The nations of the world will want to learn it from us. We must be “a kingdom of priests,” in other words, the worldwide ministry of education.

We need to decide quickly what we will do.

Question: Which part is more important to correct: “Israel” or the “nations of the world”?

Answer: This is a single integral system in which each one is connected with all. It is impossible to activate even the smallest desire of Galgalta ve Eynaim separately. In spite of everything, a person influences the entire system without even understanding it.

It is impossible to change anything in one place without changing the entire system. This is because it is analogical.

There are discrete systems that operate according to pulses. The signal, meaning the external activator, enters and gradually passes by way of the entire system, pulse after pulse, until it reaches the end. That is how the simple systems that we build according to our egoistic intellect are constructed. We perceive the world like that; we see that there is a beginning and an end, pulses, a progressive process from beginning to end.

But if we are talking about another form of nature and not that which we are able to perceive, then we must agree that nature is a circular system that has no beginning, end or middle, and there are no sequential processes that flow according to a chain of cause and effect. It turns out that everything is a single complete system that is entirely created immediately.

The four phases of the Direct Light and the continuing development of Malchut of Infinity are activities that exist only in regard to us, but that is not how it truly is. It appears to us in a form like this because we ourselves are not circular; we are not whole, like this system.

The higher system operates everything and there is no part in it that is independent. This is not a system in which a signal enters and leaves. Rather, when the higher system receives some external influence, after a while it becomes stabilized and then we see the results throughout the entire system. The signal takes it out of equilibrium and after that it stabilizes itself and takes on the next state.

We are not built like circular systems so it is difficult for us to understand how the entire creation works. But a person who acquires spiritual desires sees that all of his desires are connected to everyone else. He no longer sees a difference between his desires and foreign desires because everything becomes his.

If I influence everyone and receive a chain reaction from everyone, then where am “I” found and where are “they”? All of us adhere to each other. The only thing that remains is the arrangement of what is before and after, as well as the division into what is internal and what external on a new level: What is it that is more important and less important to that single overall system?

Therefore, not even the smallest part within Israel can exist without our clarifying its benefit to the entire system. For through this we want to open a passage for the Light to enter the system and correct it. So we must take the entire system into account. The mechanism of “Israel” cannot exist if it is not connected to the entire system and if it doesn’t consider that it must serve the system, for it exists only for this purpose. So AHP and GE of Israel exist only for the good of the general AHP, for the good of the entire shattered Kli.

Question: Does the solution that the wisdom of Kabbalah offers have a scientific basis or is it simply in feelings?

Answer: Certainly this solution is realized in a person in feelings, for we were created from the substance of the desire to receive. And so we feel everything through this desire and evaluate things only through that, both the good and the bad.

But it is absolutely a wisdom, it is science. The wisdom of Kabbalah precisely describes all of the systems in which we exist, our connections with each other, and the levels of ascent, meaning increasing and strengthening the connection between us according to 125 levels. The wisdom of Kabbalah uses scientific terminology, such as, five worlds, Partzufim, Aviut (level of desire), Masach (screen), and Ohr Hozer (Returning Light).

Through his correction, the Kabbalist corrects the whole world. As it is said in Proverbs 10:25: “…the righteous is an everlasting foundation.” Throughout all generations, the Kabbalists through their tried actions to “sweeten” our world. But now we have reached such a state in which not a Tzadik (a righteous person), but the whole of Israel, and after them the entire world, must reach conscious connection.

We must invite people to home workshops (home circles), for discussions around a “roundtable.” We are ready to simultaneously organize thousands of home roundtables like these in Israel, and attain positive results in this way.

We will immediately begin to feel very great changes in the Israeli society, and we will happily take part in meetings of this kind that will establish a good atmosphere throughout the nation. These meetings must be dedicated only to connection and unity between us and only for good attitudes. This will have a positive effect on health, familial relationships, and the well-being of each individual and all people in general.

This is an experiment at home that we can actively carry out and see good results.

Answer: The Jews are carriers of the force of unity, unification. They do not just develop something locally and in isolation from the rest, but links are built and everything is connected between themselves. They are like explorers who discover new lands. All these discoveries were made by the Jews because they felt oppressed in Spain and Portugal. For this reason Columbus discovered America, due to the desire to break away.

The Jews have this power to break through because it is the force of Bina, the desire to bestow, called Galgalta ve-Eynaim. The word “Jew ” (Yehudi) comes from the word “unity” (Yichud). They make up only a tiny part of humanity, but they are located at the top, like a thin layer of cream. The force of bestowal is concentrated within it, and therefore, their participation brings significant contribution.

Suffice it to recall history. Two thousand years ago, in the days of the Temple, Israel was a prosperous state with high culture and education and a developed infrastructure and lifestyle. It gave all of humanity the foundation for culture, education, and the basis for its whole development. All this came from the people of Israel, and this remained within its nature.

Ready For Flight

Question: Conflicts in Israeli society are becoming more severe because the ego of the politicians has grown and puts personal interests above social interests more and more. During the last military operation, the matter has produced a “short circuit” between the representatives of the authorities and the various agencies responsible for national security. How can this be handled?

Answer: The system has not been fixed. Achieving real changes must begin from the people and from its education. Only through social change can we change the government.

And today our leaders reflect the situation of the nation. We live in an egoistic society in which each one thinks only about personal benefit. We are not connected between us; we don’t feel that our fate depends upon unity, by being “like one person with one heart.” We are not concerned about the security of the nation together since first of all each one is trying to provide security for himself.

Moreover, many people are ready to flee to some place where it is possible to get along better. The main thing is that such a thing will be possible for them, and the fate of Israel is not important to them. If you were to give people the opportunity to get along anywhere in the world that suits them, just about nobody would remain here. According to surveys, half of the younger population would want to leave. And regarding the other half, they would stay here out of habit. And in the meantime, those who advance in the leadership of the nation are people possessing even more prominent personal interests.

Exposing The Ego

Question: If we were to support changes in society, what kind of a society should it be?

Answer: We cannot live and develop here if we don’t become the true people of Israel living in the land of Israel. This is talking about two concepts that we must approach and realize.

“Israel” means “Yashar-El.” In other words, all of us connect among us according to the principle “And you shall love your friend as yourself” and we direct ourselves towards a higher power.

The essence of the upper forcer is the force of love, unity, and mutual bestowal. We must aspire to this. This is not connected to religious or secular beliefs. This belongs to connection, the essence of which is formulated in the great and essential general rule in the Torah: “And you shall love your friend as yourself.”

Question: All of us have heard about this. But the ego has grown and grown, desires run wild and a person no longer sees anything outside of himself. So how is this old saying connected to people like us today?

Answer: This saying is eternal. From those days until today, this condition has not changed. And precisely in our day people are ready to see and discern how their growing ego is digging a grave for them. The ego indeed grows, but now the person sees where this leads. He sees that in front of him is only an abyss.

A New People – New Leaders

Question: In a museum of one of the Israeli leaders of the last century, the room in which he lived has been renovated, a small place with a simple chair and a table of a meter and a half. From there he led the nation. So how is it possible to speak about connection in our day when the nation is shaken by outrageous scandals and the leaders acquire luxurious houses? Where will the love come from here?

Answer: From despair. Ultimately we have attained nothing. Those leaders with the penthouses, their expensive apartments, and all the rest of the wealth and luxury feel dependent. That is how an ego that rises to the heavens plays with us. A person is compelled to steal; this need motivates him. He feels that this is not the goal, this isn’t life, and in spite of it all, he is not ready to do anything. He simply cannot avoid stealing, cannot avoid lying, because that is his nature.

So what is to be done with him? After all, it is clear that this way leads all of us to oblivion. Is it worthwhile to bring the matter to a new Holocaust, to World War III, and so on?

Everyone understands this yet nobody has a method that makes it possible to be saved from our internal enemy, which is the ego that pushes us towards theft, lies, forgeries, schemes. The truth is that nobody enjoys this, but everyone is compelled to take a bite out of the general pie and try to arrange a warm and safe corner for himself.

Yet in the world of today, no secure corners really remain. So security will come to us only by way of changes in society, in humanity. These are changes that will bring unity.

In the global world we must be so connected that each one will feel the others as himself. The wisdom of Kabbalah was revealed for this, providing a solution to problems and explaining what must be done. It is up to us to adopt it, and with its help, approach correction of the world. The time has come to consolidate everything into a unified system, a single family.

Only integral education and information will raise general interests above personal interests. The leaders of today are cut off from the people. And there is nothing to demand from them or from the people. Gradual education will bring about changes among the people and this will then produce people from whom it will be possible to educate new leaders.

Baal HaSulam, Article 69, “First Will Be the Correction of the World”: And the root of Israel is from the interior of the worlds. This is the meaning of “for ye were the fewest of all peoples.”

However, by correcting the interior, the exterior is corrected, too, though in small pieces. And the exterior will be corrected each time (until many pennies accumulate into a great sum), until all the exterior is corrected.

We know that the source of the four phases of the Ohr Yashar (Direct Light) is the root phase, the Kutzo Shel Yud (tip of the letter “Yud”). In continuation, there was “Yud,” a full Kli, Hochma, the first phase. Then the second phase came, Bina, the first “Hey.” After that there is the third phase, Zeir Anpin, (ZA), “Vav,” and in the end, there is the fourth phase, Malchut, the lower “Hey.”

In general, in the course of development, bestowal becomes reception, and after that, returns to bestowal and returns to reception, and in the end, into the desire to receive. But in the development of the Kelim there exists a particular threshold, that before it, to the level of Keter (K), Hochma and the first three Sefirot (Gar de Bina) the development had to be from above to below without any reaction, without any activity from the side of the Kli.

The truth is that the first reaction was created between Hochma and Bina, the desire to resemble Keter. But specifically Bina received the conscious decision that it wanted to be like Keter, so it acts like it, constructs the desire to receive, and bestows to Keter.

In this way, there are Kelim that resemble the action of the Creator within which He bestows, these are “Galgalta ve Eynaim” (GE), and there are Kelim in which what the Kli decides in the middle of Bina takes place, and these are called AHP. And the decision point is the middle third of Tifferet.

According to this structure, Malchut begins to be constructed and to resemble all the previous phases (=) and is itself divided accordingly into ten Sefirot; it constructs the ten Sefirot of Ohr Hozer (Returning Light).

Malchut is built within the inner point (•). The circle closest to it is Galgalta ve Eynaim and the next circle is AHP. That is how the Kelim are divided.

With the Shevira (shattering), the differences between Galgalta ve Eynaim and AHP are erased, since everything is shattered, pulverized, and mixed. But in the correction of this gigantic “block” of Kelim, we begin to raise them with the help of Ohr Makif (OM) (Surrounding Light) that illuminates from a distance, and the first Kelim that were included in the process are the Kelim that belong to Galgalta ve Eynaim because they are more refined.

These Kelim that are more attracted to the Light that Reforms are revived more quickly. So they are called Israel (Yashar El), yearning for the Elyon (the upper). They are “lighter” than all the rest of the Kelim because they belong to the levels of the Aviut (thickness, the desire to receive) of the Shoresh, Aleph, and Bet. And this is the smallest desire to receive about which Baal HaSulam writes and calls them “Pnimit HaOlamot”-interiority of the worlds). And after that, the turn of the “nations of the world” to be corrected comes.

So it is up to us to correct the Kelim that belong to Galgalta ve Eynaim. They are specifically important to us, for if they were corrected on the egoistic account and decided to build themselves starting from the “middle third of Tifferet” and on, then the Kelim of AHP could connect with them, those who are themselves not ready to carry out any correction because they were not prepared directly from the root by the Creator, rather they were created as a result of the decision of Israel, the Galgalta ve Eynaim. So they depend completely on Israel , and they come to Israel with complaints in every situation.

So it turns out that if the Kelim of Israel don’t make the corrections that are incumbent upon them, they are blamed for the Kelim de AHP not being corrected yet.

Question: If the Jewish people are not yet ready to unite, how will redemption come to the world?

Answer: We begin from ourselves. The Upper Light works through Bnei Baruch, which is among the people of Israel, and the people of Israel are found among the nations of the world. The Light does all of the corrections. The Light can work only on condition that there is something corresponding to it.

So if we reach unity, the Light is found within us. It doesn’t even come from above, it is simply found everywhere, and it is revealed in us thanks to our equivalence of form.

Through our actions we are linked to the people of Israel; with this we transfer Light to them. And after that, because the people of Israel are connected to all of the nations of the world and influence them, the Upper Light passes to them also.

So first of all, we, Bnei Baruch, must be united. Then equivalence of form with the Upper Light makes it possible for us to have contact with it.

There doesn’t have to be unity like this between us and the people of Israel because we already influence them from our Kelim, and through our Kelim, they receive the Light. So there must only be a particular degree of connection, agreement, and integration with us here.

And between the people of Israel and the nations of the world there must be some kind of understanding that we are found in one world and one system, and from this anti-Semitism is derived, a unique attitude towards the people of Israel and also the system of correction. If the people get the general idea about this system and connect with us a bit, this is enough for the Upper Light to pass through them.

Every time in the descent of these spiritual levels, a correlation is formed between the Kelim and the abundance that spreads in the relationship from the higher to the lower and from the lower to the higher. And generally this is what we talk about in our dissemination.

But the main thing for us is specifically our unity with the Upper Light. Then it will spread, will awaken a response in the people, and the people will begin to speak with our words, will agree with us, will be ready to go with us. All of the work is done by the Upper Light. Let the Light work and it will stream like water that penetrates into the soil and reaches each and every place to water anything that a person grows in the ground. Then on the way it will also fulfill us, will connect us into one. In what way does it do this? That is its business that is its work; this is the work of the Creator. We must only work on connection.

Question: If so, must we go out to disseminate externally?

Answer: If we don’t get the deficiency from the people, their desires, their problems, if we don’t take it and raise it up to ourselves, we will have no need to connect with the Creator. We can sit and study the sources for a thousand years and it will only be theory. As long as we are not integrated with the people, the desire to connect will not be awakened in us. The desire to connect is awakened only from the deficiencies that we get from people, and from these deficiencies, we can present the MAN, the request for correction.

So if you think that you want unity now, this is not true, this is not the right unity. The true unity is possible solely and only if you go out to the people, sweating and working with them on their connection. Only from there will you receive a true imperative to connect.

Question: Does this mean that if we truly unite, all of humanity will automatically be changed and we will not need to do anything?

Answer: Yes. If only the Bnei Baruch group changes, the people of Israel will be changed. And if the people of Israel will be changed to a particular degree, all of reality will be changed, all the peoples, all of humanity. That is how these three circles work. But each one depends upon both the higher and the lower. And without the deficiency of the lower, you cannot reach the higher.

So we must work with the people of Israel so that we will have a need to connect together and be like the Creator. Through the people of Israel we must go out to all of humanity so that for us there will be a need from humanity to turn to turn to the people of Israel, and from the people to ourselves, and from ourselves to the Creator.

All three of these levels must work as one. Therefore we work on “three fronts.”

Question: In general, how do you see the situation that the Jewish people find themselves in today?

Answer: We must understand the current development of mankind, understand why we are so hated in the eyes of the world, why we are, at best, pushed into a corner, and in the worst case, mankind wants to annihilate us.

All of this has been determined by the historical role of the people of Israel, and especially in our time we must be an example of the correct unification for humanity, making it possible to move to the next stage of our development.

Today, the dead end of human development has been revealed, the dead end in familial relationships and in different areas. This exists on the scale of individual nations and also the entire world. The time has come to ascend to the next level, but we still don’t understand this. In the meantime there is no solution in our world, so everyone is suffering from not having found it.

Philosophical outlooks are collapsing, plans are upset, and everything is coming to an end. In the past, humanity aspired to something, but today parents no longer have hope for a better future for their children.

An Alternative Possibility

And here the Jewish people should understand their purpose: Specifically now, we must show and provide an example of the method of connection and unification to humanity. For it is precisely through this that humanity will connect according to our example. It will unite in a good way through which we will come into line with nature, its general law and its evolution. And then we will develop further, not just to survive but to ascend to a new level.

The key for this is latent in the Jewish people. This is the secret of the people of Israel, that secret plan that they attribute to us. And we must finally reveal it to ourselves and to the whole world. This is the order of the day.

I hope the Jews will understand that the time has come to implement the stimulus program that has been waiting for thousands of years, to apply it to ourselves, and in this way to provide an example to everyone. We must transform into a “Light unto the nations,” as it is called.

If we don’t do this, the general course of things will press upon us so much that in the end, we will need to act in spite of it all.

And conversely, if, for a start, the Jews will at least discover and know why they are hated by the world and what their destiny is. This will make their lot much easier. After all, this knowledge itself is a rudimentary, albeit passive, participation in the general process derived from the thought of creation.

Even though people still don’t understand its general meaning, even a first contact with the truth, the beginning of a familiarity with the real state of affairs, can change the situation for the better. And the contact itself opens channels to a new power and new management of the world.

There Are No Accidents

The main thing is to explain to every Jew what their mission is in this life, in the world, and why humanity displays such a negative attitude towards them. The reason is that they are not carrying out their role.

It is not by chance that they attribute bad intentions to us and explain that all troubles come from us. We must examine and analyze these eternal slanders. We are talking about a natural phenomenon, not about spontaneous unconnected outbursts. Even those peoples with whom we were never actually in contact are experiencing this same real feeling. We must understand that there are sources and a basis for this natural phenomenon.

The wisdom of Kabbalah describes the inner mechanisms of what is happening and explains to us how we can actively implement our role.

First of all, the people are right in their hatred towards us. For we have really turned off the faucet to the abundance that must come into the entire world. Of course, I am not justifying the haters, but I am saying to the Jews, “Come, let’s implement what has been imposed upon us by nature itself. Come, let’s do this as quickly as possible.”

The Torah, “Genesis,” 29:7- 29:8: And he said, “The day is yet long; it is not the time to take in the livestock. Water the sheep and go, pasture.”

And they said, “We cannot do that, until all the flocks are gathered together, and they will roll the rock off the mouth of the well, and we shall then water the sheep.” 

There are better times and there are less pleasant times in the history of humanity. Therefore the time that “all the flocks are gathered together” hasn’t come yet.

There were times in the history of humanity and the Jewish nation when we were very close to attaining the goal. There were several breakthroughs in the time of ancient Babylon, during the exodus from Egypt, and during the days of King David’s wars, until we finally have reached our time, which is exactly the time that “all the flocks are gathered together.” We have to reach connection because this is the only way we can influence the upper force and begin to change our reality.

The problem is in convincing ourselves and others and in actually realizing and feeling that fulfillment is only through connection. There is nothing but that. We reach a form that resembles the Surrounding Light only to the extent that we connect, and only then can we influence it, work with it, and direct it.

We begin to perform independent actions because we awaken the Upper Light and oblige it to operate in a special way. It is because we discover the need to unite in our connection and thus convey a perfect, ripe deficiency for the Light. Then the Light performs the last action and connects us.

We must convince ourselves that at this point our goal is to gather all the flocks together and to connect the people in the world in whom the desire to fulfill the goal of the wisdom of Kabbalah has ripened. This is the reason we were given the wisdom of Kabbalah, since we will discover everything else along the way when the Upper Light begins to operate in the connection among us. Then we will realize what the Light is, how it operates, discover its effect on us, and begin to ascend the spiritual ladder.

All of humanity has to go through this path but in an easier manner. Israel has to go through it first and then the whole world. People should understand that there is nothing but the connection between us that awakens the Light that Reforms to change humanity. To the extent that humanity changes, it will begin to discover a new world through its new senses that were corrected by the Light that Reforms.

It is because the reality that we feel is totally dependent on our perception. If our desires are egoistic and separated, we feel a shattered world in that shattered vessel, just as we see the world as it appears now. It is not surprising that the situation is growing worse to hasten us to reach connection.

To the extent that we begin to work in correcting our senses, we will feel a new reality. Just as we feel the shattering now in our corrupt vessels, we will feel a perfect world in our corrected desires that are governed by one force, by the Light that operates in our desires, connects, corrects, and fills them.

Therefore, everyone speaks about connection and mutual guarantee these days. It is because it is the only action we have to perform from now until the end of correction, and it must be performed by both the nation of Israel and the nations of the world. The sooner we do this, the sooner we will reveal the Light to humanity and thus fulfill the goal of creation.

It all depends only on the connection between us. We consistently and persistently have to work on this and constantly convince ourselves that this is our only goal. No matter how much a person knows, it has nothing to do with the true reality. The only truth is his yearning to connection and bringing others closer to connection.

“Every man shall help his friend!” We have to explain to everyone the importance of this action and that our future depends on it. Many years go by until a person begins to understand that his ego is doing everything to deceive him and divert his attention from this, as if it is a trivial matter.

Therefore a person listens, but doesn’t hear; so  one rejects and forgets this idea time and time again. But the time comes when we all have to start acting and telling ourselves and the Upper Light that we must reach connection no matter what. Then the passage for the revelation of the soul will open.
