Where Is the Will to Receive?

962.2The entire substance that is attributed to the emanated being is the will to receive. Any addition in it is attributed to the Emanator (Baal HaSulam, The Study of the Ten Sefirot, Inner Observation, Chapter 10).

Everything we observe, see, and feel in this world is attributed to the Creator, except the will to receive. The Creator has no will to receive, but He controls it.

Comment: It turns out that we are not inside Him. But you say sometimes that we are in the Creator, in nature.

My Response: It depends on how you explain it and how to accept it. But in general, on the one hand, we are outside the Creator, and on the other hand, inside Him.

Question: He created the will to receive, which does not exist in Him, but He controls it. Where is this desire? In what place?

Answer: There is no place. A place is a desire.

Written… Eternal…

526Question: In your opinion which work is more successful: when a person is already in the system of attainment or when he is just entering it?

Answer: In principle, anyone can write. But a Kabbalistic work can be written by a person who feels the upper world, who realizes, understands, and feels the action of the light, the Creator, on himself according to the changes that it causes in him. He goes toward the light, and the light acts on him accordingly.

The wisdom of Kabbalah describes only these phenomena, which, in general, consist of two components: a person and the Creator, a person and the light. There is nothing else.

Comment: But you wrote your first book as a complete beginner in this system.

My Response: Yes, these are the first three books in Russian. I published them in 1983. Then, of course, I was a beginner. I was completely attached to my teacher Rabash and this helped me get some insight from him and sanctification with a big smooth light emanating from him. Therefore, what I have stated in these books is indeed true. Moreover, in general, I simply recounted some of the main positions of Kabbalah, the very basics.

Comment: You also wrote the book Attaining the Worlds Beyond at that time. After that, you wrote seemingly more complex or easy to understand books, but it was never anything so sensorial. It still works very well.

My Response: I wrote Attaining the Worlds Beyond in ten days. It just popped out like that and that is it. As I have already said, the material accumulates internally, accumulates more, and then splashes out. Nine months you bear it and in a couple of hours you give birth.

What Does Everything Existing Consist of?

261Question: We know that the structure of our world is atoms. They consist of nuclei, nuclei of protons, neutrons, and electrons. And what is the structure of spiritual matter?

Answer: Spiritual matter is desire.

Question: What does it consist of?

Answer: Desire exists by itself. It was created by the Creator, and therefore, there are no more questions about what it is. It is the very desire that exists in nature, and all nature consists of it.

Moreover, this desire is only to be satisfied, to enjoy, to receive, to be filled with something that is outside of it. And besides, there is a desire to give, to saturate, to fill. Everything that exists consists of these two desires.

Levels of Shock

591Question: When many people gather at the congress, and among them are beginners who absorb what you say with their mouths open, they are just in shock. While they are in shock, does the system work with them somehow?

Answer: Beginners are shocked by two levels.

The first is the level of knowledge, generalization, and understanding of the entire system. Suddenly they see that somehow everything is coming together, everything is in order. From clarity, from awakening, they experience the first shock, it is because Kabbalah really gives such a simple, clear, and precise view of the world and nature that a person is really amazed in comparison to what he knew before. This is the first.

The second is that they feel the inner force that comes from the upper layer. They cannot explain what it is, but the feeling is already there.

Question: Does it mean that information from a parallel layer enters them?

Answer: No. I cannot insert anything into them if they do not want it. Only to the extent that they have spent their efforts to come to the lecture, connect, listen, understand, and join, they absorb some information. But in no case does it deprive them of their freewill.

To the Extent of Similarity to the Qualities of Light

509Kabbalah is a method of attracting the upper force that changes you and raises you to the degree at which you can feel it. As Baal HaSulam said, “And only what you reveal, you and no one else will reveal.”

People are always trying to retell all this as if one can convey something in words. There is no way! No electrodes and signals can do anything.

It is impossible to connect to the next informational level by any science, because the information is in a different form there, in the form of light. And there are no physical adapters of light that would sense it at our level, you have to create them.

To create them is to “become similar.” To the extent that you are similar to the qualities of light, you begin to connect to this field and receive energy, information from it—everything that is in it, its perception.

Therefore, there is nothing but an internal change of a person!

How Religions Replaced Kabbalah

533.02Now it is us who come on stage, a universal religion, so to say. This is not a religion, but this is what Baal HaSulam calls Kabbalah in the article “The Essence of Religion and Its Purpose.” It means that this is not Judaism but precisely Kabbalah, which lays in fulfilling the principle “love your neighbor as yourself.”

When 2,000 years ago, at the time of the destruction of the Second Temple people fell from fulfilling this commandment, then they fell in religion. This is how religions came to replace the Kabbalah.

Kabbalah says: “By loving your neighbor as yourself, you open yourself up to the sensations of the upper world here and now. There is no time, there is no death, there is only what you feel. Now you feel a small world, a small dimension, but you can rise in your sensation to the next dimension. So begin to feel it now.”

When people fell into egoism and stopped hearing what should be said about love for their neighbor and forgot about it, then they chose various earthly commandments and rituals for themselves and an after-death reward for this.

First of all, this is not work on your own correction, you do not receive a reward for your effort immediately when you change and as a result feel the next world, which is your reward. According to religions, supposedly by performing some physical actions here, you receive a reward after your body dies. But why does it interfere? What kind of paradise is there that it is necessary to be bodiless?

In general, religions twisted everything a little. I think soon people will begin to understand this.

The Emanator Is What Emanates Matter

712.03The will to receive is the first form of every essence. We define the first form as “substance” because we have no attainment in the essence”(Baal HaSulam, The Study of the Ten Sefirot, “Inner Observation,” Chapter 10, Item 35).

This is about spiritual matter, and not about the inanimate, vegetative, and animate matter of our world.

Question: It is known from physics that the universe is 95% dark matter. It turns out that what we see and study today is practically nothing relative to what exists. Maybe this dark matter is the emanator, the Creator?

Answer: No, the Creator is above all this matter, He is like its essence. Matter itself is not attributed to the emanator. The emanator is what emanates matter.

The essence of matter is the will to receive. This is how the Creator created it.

Comment: Currently, there is no direct evidence of the existence of dark matter, only indirect ones.

My Response: Most of our knowledge about the universe and nature, in general, is based on indirect sensations, proofs, examples, and studies because we are not at the level of what we are investigating.

Movement in Spirituality

232.05That innovation, meaning a new change of form that has occurred in the spiritual, is regarded as having been divided and distanced from that spiritual. It is considered to have emerged with its own name and authority, by which it is exactly like a corporeal being that some part departed from it and moves about from place to place. Hence, the new form is called “movement.” (Baal HaSulam, The Study of the Ten Sefirot, “Inner Observation,” Chapter 9, Item 33).

This is about a force that holds, not only the corporeal, but also everything that exists, and gradually changes it from degree to degree, from stage to stage.

Question: Let’s say there is an object in our world that can physically move some distance. This is what we call movement. Baal HaSulam, however, talks about movement in spirituality. For example, a person is developing spiritually, which means his form has changed from one to another. What form are we talking about?

Answer: About the movement inside the object. Changing a person’s purpose, his essence of existence, his intentions, his desires, his qualities. All this gradually changes and transforms. We see that everything in nature is subject to change, and therefore we say that everything is moving.

Question: Does this also apply to the desires of our world? They do not change.

Answer: They are also changing, but very slowly. In spirituality when I have some kind of connection with the upper force, the desire changes; this means that I have moved closer to the upper force.

Everything happens in the image and likeness of the upper force. If we reveal it for ourselves, we attain some images and qualities in it and then we can examine to what extent we are similar to them or not, whether we are closer to this upper force or further from it.

World Geography from a Spiritual Point of View

746.01Question: It is known that the whole reality is divided into ten Sefirot, which in turn are further divided into ten, and so on. Does this mean that all over the world there are some places similar to Jerusalem, Lake Kinneret, and Galilee?

Answer: No. Kabbalists divide the whole world only into the land of Israel, then into Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Babylon.

These lands are under a special spiritual influence, descending as I named them: Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Babylon, i.e., today’s Iraq.

All other parts of the earth are practically on the same level and spiritually absolutely lifeless. But when people from there begin to rise to their spiritual root, then, as it is said, the land of Israel will begin to spread like shagreen leather over the entire territory of the globe.

Comment: You say: “Jordan, Syria…” It turns out that the current enemies of Israel, the countries that would like to destroy us, are the closest to Israel. Everything is upside down in our world.

My Response: Because we are upside down. As soon as we return to our roots, correct ourselves inversely, the correction of our neighbors will immediately occur. We should not expect any change from them until we change ourselves.

Let’s hope that first of all we realize this, feel this, and implement this.

All of Humanity Are Inhabitants of the Land of Israel

933Comment: You once said that one way or another, all of humanity will become inhabitants of the land of Israel.

My Response: Kabbalistic sources say that at the end of days the land of Israel will expand to the entire world.

This means that forces that are now concealed must descend from above to this land and from here spread their influence to the entire territory of the planet.

No matter where people are, they will feel their contact with the upper world, with the Creator. Therefore, the land of Israel is considered special.
