Feel Who I Am And Who I Should Be
Question: You said that there is no Creator and that the Creator is the property of the highest connection, bestowal. If there is no Creator, to whom do we pray?
Answer: In principle, we do not pray to someone, although this is how we express it in words. We raise the quality of bestowal, connection, and love above ourselves and try to rise above ourselves.
I kind of imagine a higher step and try to pull myself up to it. This is real prayer, conversion. Therefore prayer is called tfila, lehitpalel—that is, “to judge oneself,” to rise above oneself, to feel who I am and who I should be.
