Truth is always in demand, but in practice it is completely not accepted by society. Truth is too complicated for practical application because it obliges everyone in society to be equal so that everyone gets their share according to their efforts.

Here we are facing the egoism of each and every individual and his inability to do anything for the benefit of others. He is ready for this only out of desperation—when he expects to get even more for his own benefit in return.

Therefore, it is impossible to establish human relationships on the basis of truth.

People are all different. Some have strong qualities and others are strong in quantity. And there is always tension and misunderstanding between them caused by differences in human nature. There are people who are smart and energetic and some are lazy and mediocre. And of course, the energetic and persistent will eventually become managers, and the masses are ready to remain passive and follow the leaders.

However, we do not need to “correct” nature. We will not be able to be equal because this condition was given to us initially. As a result, we must come to the point when differences between us would work for our benefit, meaning, they would help us attain the Creator and become like Him.

In what form can we connect with each other to benefit from this connection and not increase tensions that lead to wars, revolutions, and conflicts that we witness again and again?

We need to organize such relationships so that we derive pleasure from our differences: from the fact that one is smart and the other is stupid, one is weak and the other is strong, one is lucky and the other is unlucky, someone was born in a special family or in a special country. It is not necessary to fight against these differences revealed by nature, which means they are given by the Creator, but it is necessary to understand that by using them correctly, we can achieve the biggest correction.

From each person: both strong and weak, stupid and smart, lucky and unlucky, you can draw common benefit so that everyone will be happy.

Instead of breaking the nature given to us from birth, we need, on the contrary, to look for how to connect with each other so that everyone feels good, not one at the expense of the other, but precisely by using the differences created by the Creator. If we know how to use this creation with all the differences inherent in it, we will reach an absolutely good state.

But how can a person be demanded to rise above his nature? There have already been attempts to force a person to give up his egoism, like in Russia, and collectivize everything. But nothing happened, and after a few decades, there was no trace of these experiments left.

And yet, on the part of nature itself, there is such a law that obliges us to rise above our egoism, unite, and completely fulfill each other. The question is how to connect two opposites: to bring our nature, which is against connection, to feel our neighbor as ourselves?

What means are there for this? History has proven that neither hunger nor suffering could make people connect. No Marxism-Leninism could bring people closer to each other. Our egoism continued to rule anyway.

Where can we get the strength to properly unite people in practice and not in fantasies so that everyone can keep this connection and enjoy it? The bitter experience of history shows that we must receive this power from above, and for that we need the science of Kabbalah.

Michael Laitman, On The Times of Israel: “No Way to Unscramble Scrambled Eggs”

On March 8, 2009, during the financial crisis that became known as the Great Recession, then Wachovia Corp. economist Mark Vitner described the world’s jumbled economies quite aptly: “It’s like trying to unscramble scrambled eggs. It just can’t be done that easily. I don’t know if it can be done at all,” he told CBS News. These days, as the world struggles with disruptions to the global supply chain and vital commodities are stuck at sea for months, some pundits are suggesting that we do just that. But since 2009, economies have only become more entangled, and the idea of unbundling them has become even more unrealistic.

You cannot go against evolution, and evolution goes toward more complexity, not less. This is true at every level: the mineral, the biological, and the social. As a result, human society is becoming more complex and intertwined, and the economy, which is a reflection of human society, follows the same lane.

The reason we do not see such congestion and disruption in nature is that besides people, all other elements follow their instincts. The result is a harmonious flow, the cycle of life continuous uninterrupted and things evolve in synchrony with their environment.

Humanity functions in exactly the opposite way. We strive to rise above our environment, not in sync with it. We try to reach the top of the heap, to be faster, higher, and stronger than everyone else. When every country, company, and even person (to some degree) tries to do this, congestion occurs at the nodes, and everything gets stuck.

In other words, we are witnessing the result of our own self-centered attitude. If everyone had worked in harmony with the rest of human society, as every other element in nature does, there would have been no congestion and everyone would have gotten what they need, when they need it, and as much of it as they need.

Moreover, because we are competitive and derive satisfaction not from having what we need, but from having more than others, and even from denying others what they need, we cannot unravel our economies. Our desire to beat others binds us to them because their pain is our pleasure, and we cannot work without pleasure. To go it alone is to go against human nature, and we cannot do that, at least not in the long run.

If we are going to rationalize supply chains, we have to be clear about our interdependence. We need to start seeing ourselves as a unit, where the benefit of one is the benefit of all, and all parts contribute to the well-being of all other parts.

Our own bodies function in this way, every organism functions in this way. Without this approach, life would not be possible. When we act contrary to the fundamental element that makes life and development possible, we condemn our society to death and decay.

Once we recognize how nature works, how we work, and that it is in our best interest to change, we can stop disrupting the global economic system and begin to synchronize our actions. In simpler terms, we will be more considerate of each other.

Currently, we may not like the idea that we need to think of others and not just ourselves, but if we do not start teaching ourselves the truth today, global entanglement will worsen to the point that we will no longer be able to provide ourselves with the basic necessities for daily living.

Question: You have repeatedly said that there is no coercion in spirituality. Why does nature put so much pressure on us?

Answer: The fact is that you will not be dragged along the spiritual path by force, but the suffering will make such a “cutlet” out of you, that in the end you will come to this path yourself. First of all, there must be awareness.

Coercion means I don’t explain anything to you, I don’t bring you to the need for awareness, I don’t engage with you at all, I just force you to do something. When you have one desire and I have another and I force my desire on you, this is coercion.

There is no such thing in nature. Suffering forces us to change our desire, to realize it as evil, and to understand that I need something else. Therefore, it is said that there is no coercion in nature. But this is the most terrible hard compression. Don’t we see how we are built and what our life is like?

Now we are entering a very difficult final period, the period of the Mashiach. “Mashiach” from the word “Limshoch” – “to pull out.” This is the period when we will be dragged from our current stage to the next. And since it is the opposite of us, the transition will be very painful, nature will press us, and strongly.

Therefore, Kabbalah, which has been hidden for all millennia, is revealed today, to relieve this transition for us. It explains the nature of our existence in this last final state and how we should change ourselves inversely.

Kabbalah tells a person about the goal, toward what he should develop. And this goal is absolute, we will not get away from it. Therefore, it is better to take it into account.

Question: If everything is predetermined in terms of pleasure and suffering and if we understand where man is going and how he will behave, then why did nature do it this way? Where does it want to lead us?

Answer: Nature developed from the primordial element, a desire in its purest form, which evolved through inanimate, vegetative, and animate forms until it reached the form of “man.” Likewise, a person in our world, through his development, comes to his next form.

Each phase that we go through—inanimate, vegetative, and animate—develops itself. At each stage, according to the law of negation of negation, a person starts to feel that he can no longer remain in this state, he must radically change it, rise from it, and feel it is no longer acceptable for him.

And then the previous state degenerates and the next step manifests itself. So from the inanimate, the vegetative part of desire with corresponding vegetative nature evolves, then the animate, and then man appears.

We are now at a very interesting stage. We worked out our previous stage of development, came to its denial, the rejection of it, we see that our world and our lives are finite, flawed, and temporary, and we do not know what to do next.

We do not see the next stage yet, but the current stage is practically unbearable. We can no longer stay in it because it leads to self-destruction, terror, disintegration of families, disintegration of culture, and the end of science.

That is, we have reached the final stage in everything, but we do not see the next one yet. It should begin to reveal itself. Therefore, the science of Kabbalah is now being revealed as a means of transition to a new state.

Question: Today, many agree that human problems are related to the fact that one is not in balance with nature. But everyone has different ideas regarding the actual term “equilibrium.”

In one of your conversations, you said that living in ecologically clean places, eating right, and being closer to nature does not mean being in equilibrium with it. What does a Kabbalist mean when he talks about balance with nature at the human level?

Answer: Equilibrium with nature is similarity to the Creator.

The Creator represents all of nature around us, its general law divided into a multitude of all kinds of particular laws. This is a causal relationship between all natural phenomena, the implementation of this law in life at the inanimate, plant, animal, and the human levels. All this is called nature.

If we knew this and were harmoniously connected with it, then we would really be in a state of the highest harmony, perfection, peace, and good.

The problem is that man, as the highest stage of development, is flawed in his private nature. He drives himself into a dead end because he is opposite to the general nature, which is built on bestowal, connection, interconnection, and love. Everything for him is built only on receiving, hatred, and power, he crushes everything under himself. By this, he introduces into nature tremendous disturbances not only at his own level, but also at the lower animate, vegetative, and inanimate levels. Moreover, this is the influence at a cosmic scale.

We cannot imagine how much we affect the cosmos, for billions of light years, the waves of which diverge at infinite speed, not at the speed of light. We influence the entire universe and in a very negative way. Therefore, we perceive the world in a dark form. For example, a person gets up in the morning in a bad mood and everything around him is bad, like as they say, a “rainy day.” And another time, on the contrary, the same day, but something shines on him.

Thus, in contradiction with nature, with its property of bestowal and love, we simply destroy the whole world. We need balance with it.

In the process of integral studies, people change, they become a little closer to connection with each other. Imbued with the fact that nature is integral and we are a cancerous tumor in it, they already understand that there is no use holding on to the past and that it is impossible to manage today with the old methods they were taught; therefore, everything in the world is falling apart.

Why do we have such discord in the family, at work, between countries, and even in nature itself? Because we do not know how to behave correctly inside what is called society and nature.

The most comfortable state that a person can have is being in balance with the surrounding nature. That is, there are two systems here: one system is me, within me, which must be in balance; and around me, there is the second system, nature, which itself is in balance.

I induce destabilization in it, and therefore it turns out that it gives me negative feedback and presses on me. As a result, my entire internal system (health, psyche, etc.) goes beyond the norm.

In addition, we affect nature negatively; climate, pressure drops, and everything else depend on us. We do not even know what we are affecting. There are a lot of parameters in nature that are unknown to us. Most importantly, because of evolution we ourselves change and reach a state in which we do not want anything. This is the problem. To solve it, we need to get in balance with nature.

Question: Vesuvius is one of the most active volcanoes in Europe. Tens of thousands of people died there 200 years ago. Can those engaged in spiritual development now prevent future volcanic eruption with their thoughts and behavior?

Answer: No, not in any way. We can say in advance that the direction in which humanity is developing is moving us toward fierce natural disasters, shocks, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, everything that exists in nature. And we are already beginning to feel it.

This correction takes place in order to force humanity to think about how it affects nature and that it is the basis of such responses from nature.

Comment: It seems that natural disasters come directly from the Creator. After all, wars are also terrible torments, but they are started by man.

My Response: All this is caused by man himself. There are no specific negative signals coming from the Creator, that is, from the general force of nature. All negative forces manifest themselves only because man does not bring the forces of nature to correction at all its levels.

Question: It is written in Kabbalah that the whole world is inside man. How do I understand that the volcano is inside me? What does it mean?

Answer: It really does exist only in our senses, like the rest of nature.

Question: Can I somehow extinguish this volcano inside myself so that it no longer erupts and kills people?

Answer: If you bring nature into balance at your level, it will come into balance at all the lower levels too.

The pandemic has thrown the world into disarray because people do not understand what is happening, do not know what will happen next, and do not know how to protect themselves. Therefore, there is no joy in people and life in the city is no longer bustling and bubbling. It has changed to a gloomy atmosphere. Everyone thinks only about how to stay healthy and not to get infected.

But it would be a mistake to assume that this is a temporary period that will pass. The coronavirus pandemic is here to stay for a long time because this is a very special blow. The virus knows how to affect all areas of our life: family, all of society, children and adults, from young people to the elderly. It can make all kinds of corrections in all forms of society and its connections.

There will also be such strains of coronavirus that will destroy everything old and establish new connections between us. This virus is very smart. It is a biological particle and it is waging a biological war with us against our egoism.

Therefore, the virus with all its new global forms of manifestation will accompany us until the end of correction. Egoism will try to adapt to living next to this beast called coronavirus. But this will not work because this is a biological war that nature is waging against us. If we react to this war correctly, as to something that is directing us to the correction of egoism, we will succeed.

The Creator attacks us with this biological virus and tries to put us in order. But humanity has not yet grasped the correct form it should treat what is happening.

The virus is a factor of a very high and special level because it affects the lack of the correct connection at the biological level. This is no longer the inanimate or vegetative degree but an animate one and one that belongs to the spiritual level. That is, the virus acts as if it wants to jump out into spirituality. Since we do not make this jump, the virus pushes us to ascend to the spiritual degree. And it will do its job.

Eventually, we will discover that we have no solution and that only through the common work of all of us will we be able to eliminate the coronavirus. It will become clear to us that this can be done only through our joint efforts. The virus will oblige us to connect with each other, and this is the only way we can survive it.

The virus is advancing us to spirituality but so far in a negative form. If we were correctly connected with each other, we would be acting more correctly together toward the virus. It would direct us to where we should connect more and where less, it would guide us.

Since we are not doing this yet, and doctors do not disclose that all diseases depend on human behavior, on the lack of balance between us, we will have to suffer more.

Soon we will understand that it is necessary to cover ourselves with masks not so that we do not get infected by the virus from others, but in order not to let your virus infect others. This is already a factor at the human level because it is determined not just by the mask on my face but by my attitude toward this protection: am I trying for my own good or for the sake of others. Who do I put a mask on my face?

The pandemic will not end but will only grow. Nature will not let us be. Nature has millions of different viruses. A virus is a genetic defect that we cause in the genetic system of nature. The entire system is interconnected at all levels, in all forms, in all subsystems.

We do not establish the correct connection between people, the law of love your neighbor as yourself, but only move further away from it. By this, we stimulate the release of viruses, the incorrect development of biological particles at the highest degree of the development of nature above which is only the spiritual degree. We ourselves cause these viruses. They are a consequence of our uncorrected egoism.

Therefore, the pandemic will not end so easily. It will grow and spread in all kinds of ways. Nature has the means to restrain us and guide us correctly to the goal.

Comment: Baal HaSulam writes that any state is given to us in order to realize its evil, its finiteness, and pass to a new state. He says that it is Kabbalah that is designed to help a person quickly pass from one state to another by realizing the previous one as evil.

My Response: Right. Imagine: Now we must take up the realization of the evil of the current stage, which we have, as it were, worked out, and ascend to the next stage. And this means completely abandoning the paradigm in which we are now.

How can we do this? We have to go through tremendous suffering in order to break away from this step. In other words, I must make sure that neither family, nor art, nor science, nor professions, nor relationships between people, and most importantly, the relationship of a person to nature and to himself, work in this form any longer. All of this is in crisis.

But this crisis is still insufficient, we can see it in its sluggish course. We try to obscure it, to delay it, saying: “None of this really exists,” and to play inside of it. Imagine how many decades we can still drag out in this case.

This condition will worsen, and we will always feed ourselves with some kind of painkillers and say that everything is not so scary. Just think, people get divorced, children leave the family, and we want to devour each other alive. Just think, there is no longer science or culture, a person lives in fear.

That is, in order to get out of this state and see the next, we need to realize it as evil.

It happened even sooner than we expected. A new strain of coronavirus, dubbed “Omicron,” has recently appeared and threatens to spread with even greater speed.

The large number of mutations found in this virus raises concerns about the effectiveness of existing vaccines. One by one, countries have begun closing their borders and re-introducing quarantine restrictions.

This does not surprise me because from the very first day the coronavirus pandemic was announced I knew that it would not end quickly. We are fighting a battle with nature, acting against its laws.

Nature wants to see us all connected into one system where there is mutual understanding, mutual feeling of each other, and rapprochement. It expects us to support the internal force of this system, the only existing force that acts, and advance our development toward ever-increasing connection.

However, we are in a completely different state. We do not think that we need connection and unity and to use all our forces, intelligence, sensitivity, and scientific knowledge for the benefit of the common system in order to strengthen the oneness of nature.

Therefore, everything we have built turns out in a form that tears nature and society apart and increasingly intensifies the battle between all parts of society and with all of nature. Since we invade nature and tear it to pieces, we receive its reaction in the form of volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, up to the most dangerous viruses.

All these phenomena are manifested due to the lack of balance between all parts of nature that were not compensated by human efforts, but on the contrary, have been extremely exacerbated by humans. Therefore, it is not surprising that this is happening, and specifically in our days, when according to the wisdom of Kabbalah we are entering the era of what is called the last generation.

This is nature’s response to our actions that are. increasingly distancing us from the goal of universal connection into one person with one heart. After all, this is inherent in the basis of nature. No matter how naive it may sound, nature will require us to fulfill this condition since all nature is integral and global. If we develop in the opposite direction, then we face blows of nature.

This does not mean that nature punishes us, although Baal HaSulam writes that nature, like a strict judge, will punish us. But with these blows, nature is only trying to bring us back to balance. Let’s hope it will help.

Although so far I do not see the correct reaction to the blows of nature, that is, greater connection and unification of society built on mutual assistance.

Instead of acting for the sake of correcting society and aiming for the state of one person with one heart, especially now at the last stage of human development when we have to reach perfect connection, we are separating more and more. Accordingly, we receive a negative reaction by nature to our wrong actions.

Previously, nature did not react so sensitively to our misdeeds, wars, and crimes. It was a different era, an undeveloped society, and therefore we did not feel the reaction of nature. Today, however, we feel terrible negative reactions on all levels: inanimate, vegetative, animate, and between people, which endangers our existence on planet Earth.

This reaction will only get stronger and stronger. The coronavirus pandemic will not end unless it is replaced by another, even more painful problem considering we are not drawing the right conclusions.

The new strain is spreading even faster than all the previous ones. This is natural just like if a child does not listen, then first the parents try to persuade him, then punish him, then spank lightly, and if this does not help, then the father has to use a belt so that the son finally obeys. A father is obliged to educate his son so that he does not grow up to be a criminal.

This is how nature educates us. Nature is all global and integral and requires us to consciously, scientifically, and rationally also fulfill this rule of the integral connection between all of us. Nature wants us to build these systems ourselves in human society.

Inanimate nature, plants, and animals instinctively, by nature, observe this rule until people interfere with their behavior and disrupt it. Yet, as soon as a person corrects himself by uniting with all of humanity, all other forms of nature will also reach balance and the entire world will calm down. Not only us, but the entire universe will suddenly come to rest.
