Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have become essential components in the battlefield. In Ukraine, both sides use them extensively to attack and for surveillance, and the US, Turkey, Israel, and other countries have been using them for military assignments. Terror groups, such as Hezbollah and Hamas also use them, as do the Houthis in Yemen in their conflict with Saudi Arabia.

Unlike conventional military aircraft, which are very expensive to develop and build, UAVs are relatively cheap and rely on advanced technology rather than superior aerobatics to accomplish their missions. This allows countries with limited resources but advanced technology, such as Israel, to become world leaders.

Not only in the air, but also on the ground, unmanned military vehicles are “gaining ground.” Remotely controlled armed vehicles regularly patrol borders, and if they need to engage, they can open fire with high precision machine guns. At sea, unmanned patrol boats guard maritime borders and can detect, track, and fire on enemy vessels.

The problem is that while autonomous war machines give countries advantages they would not be able to achieve otherwise, they also make killing easier and risk-free for the attacker. They may give their owner a temporary edge over less advanced adversaries, but in the long run, they do not bring us closer to peace, but rather to a world war.

The evolving human intellect is captive in the hands of human wickedness. Instead of using it to improve our lives, we use it to destroy the lives of others.

If we want to change course, Israel must become a world leader in something entirely different: education. And more specifically—education for connection.

If we truly want to avoid war and promote peace, our focus should shift from protecting ourselves or destroying our enemies, into nurturing and enhancing internal unity and cohesion. With this tactic, we will not need to protect ourselves from enemies or destroy them in self-defense since we will have no enemies. We will become a beacon of hope for the world rather than a constant point of contention, which is our current international status.

Furthermore, our internal unity will reflect on the entire world, and conflicts that seem unrelated to us will subside as if on their own. The unity we will project to the world will install a mindset of peace on all of humanity and nations will conclude that they gain more by making peace and cooperating rather than by making war and obliterating.

I wish humanity would understand Israel’s role and pressured us to unite, so we could become a model nation, as our calling mandates. Yet, even if the world does not understand it, it is still our duty to unite and become a role model for the world. This is our only road to lasting peace and a prosperous future.

The whole of reality was emanated and created with a single thought. It is the operator; it is the very operation; it is the sought-after reward, and it is the essence of the labor (Baal HaSulam, Study of the Ten Sefirot, Part 1, “Restriction and Line,” Inner Observation, Chapter 1, Item 8).

One thought of the Creator surrounds and includes absolutely all of creation and its actions from beginning to end in itself , that is, all people together. Therefore, by studying Kabbalah, we practically study the thought of the Creator.

Question: I have read that people who have been in space say that the entire universe is like a single thought. What is meant by thought here?

Answer: The same thing. Everything that surrounds us and influences us is the thought of the Creator.

Question: If we look from the point of view of Kabbalah, why should there be the division into a huge number of people?

Answer: Because it helps the correction. The fact that everyone makes a small unconscious correction means a lot. Today, with the help of the tools that he invented thanks to his knowledge, one person can do work that was previously done by, say, a million people.

Give me an excavator and I will do work equivalent to, say, a thousand diggers, no problem! One dig and that is it. And that is how I can dig up as much in a day as a thousand people can dig up in a day. But I need a mind for that.

And if I cannot act intelligently, if I cannot use the forces of nature, then I need thousands of people who will do it unknowingly who are poking around like bugs, and that is the problem.

Therefore, in principle, there should be one Adam. Adam and no one else! But since he could not fulfill his task (purely allegorically), it turns out that eight billion are needed, eight billion who will pick and gnaw something.

As a result, something will turn out in a bad, problematic way, but people will come to understand and solve the riddle of what Adam did wrong, and how they would correct his mistake.

That is it, back to square one.

My Response: That is right.

Question: What does this mean for you?

Answer: You make this boundary between light and shadow. If you come to the conclusion that this boundary does not exist, then it does not exist. Then you really become a man of the universe.

Question: If the boundary between light and shadow does not exist, then what does exist?

Answer: There is only one upper light, the Creator. And that is it.

Question: Does a person come to such a state?

Answer: Yes. Just as it is written: “Before the restriction, Ein Sof filled the entire reality.”

Question: Does it mean that a person returns to the source?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Will then there be no descents, no ascents, no day, and no night?

Answer: From where? Everything is already inside the light.

Question: But what about me, about my life? My “I”—what will happen to me?

Answer: You do not exist, and your life does not exist. You dissolve in all this.

Question: Is this the goal, to come to this?

Answer: Yes! Of course!

Question: Is that where happiness is, the one we are looking for?

Answer: You let go of absolutely everything and float.

Question: There are two kinds of people who perceive Kabbalah one way or another. One type is through attraction to this study, and the other through denial. By trying to undermine Kabbalah, they thereby study it. Is this also a form of connection?

Can such people be called disciples?

Answer: I would not call them disciples. A disciple is one who wants to become like a teacher. He knows that he must follow the teacher as a guide, and eventually adhere to him.

People who are against Kabbalah choose a very bitter path for themselves, because of their egoism, their envy I would say, a sense of fear gnaws at them. They are ready to give everything in order to get rid of you and grind you down so that you get defeated in the eyes of everyone and everything.

Of course I feel sorry for them because people spend their entire lives, energy, and motivations somehow doing something harmful and bad to you.

But such people are also needed in the general state of humanity. Of course, their function and role is very unenviable; in the end they will have to go through all this again, in a good way.

Question: But they do not choose it, do they?

Answer: There is no need to juggle the phrases “choose and not choose.” Every human being has some minimum possibility of freewill.

People who have encountered us have had the opportunity to correctly assess us. Their egoism, envy, jealousy, or some other data led to the fact that they turned against us. There is nothing we can do here.

They live by the fact that they want to suck out of you that life-giving force that you receive from above and are trying to distribute to others. But in this form, they cannot get it, so they are furious.

The word “Kabbalah” is explained in different ways. One of the meanings is transmission, since the language of Kabbalah can be transmitted only in the connection of a student and a teacher.

All other languages (Tanakh, Alakhu, Haggadah) you can study by yourself.

Of course, you have to get books from previous generations, study explanations of key points, and have the opportunity to consult with someone, but you don’t have to be closely connected with the teacher; you don’t have to learn how he thinks, feels, and treats everything.

You are not obliged to accept from him or to copy his attitude or worldview.

But in order to attain the language of Kabbalah, you must cling to him. After all, he is the upper and you are the lower.

He presents his AHP to you, and you are obliged to perceive it as something desirable despite its externality that deliberately, egoistically repels you.

Of course, you disagree with the teacher, do not want, reject, and hate. But, in essence, it shows you how much you don’t accept the spiritual.

You have to acquire a language, a program, that works in it, but doesn’t yet work in you. You try to copy it on yourself from the examples that are given to you.

Without the help of a teacher who is next to you in the same world, in the same sensory organs, in order to penetrate into the spiritual, whose attitude to the spiritual you can cling to despite the external obstacles blocking your ability to achieve inner connection—without such examples, the Creator would leave you in complete isolation from the spiritual, without any hope.

It is impossible to extract spirituality from books. After all, it is not attained by the earthly mind.

Only on the condition that a person annuls his egoism and destroys the barrier between himself and the teacher in order to see his inner content, only on this condition, does he absorb his spiritual contemplation as far as he is able.

And if you have somehow grasped the program of the teacher’s connection with the Creator, you can continue; otherwise, no.

This is what the Ari said before his death, that only one of his students, Chaim Vital, could continue to study Kabbalah, because he took over from him the basics of the language and the program of connection with the Creator, while the others did not.

The true state of humanity is bestowal and love. How can we get to this, and arrive gradually? By conducting all kinds of seminars, through new literature, new art, new mutual relations, and new examples from all sides.

Then a person, as it were, enters a completely different environment and begins cooking himself internally and externally. In accordance with this, people will almost immediately begin to feel changes in themselves because light acts in a huge mass of people. These are amazing changes. These are such transformations!

People start thinking differently; they themselves reduce their egoistic zeal and forget about their egoistic dreams of getting more and more. All TV channels focused on “where to buy” and “what to sell,” which are built on egoistic stimulation, are being shut down. Completely different television and public channels are being turned on that are built on absolutely different principles. And re-education, re-education!

This system is created based on the system of nature that was formed naturally from the world of infinity. When you aspire for it, you just arouse it in yourself.

Here the method of simple induction works. When you approach a magnet in a magnetic field, like in a piece of electrical wire, a current appears in you. All kinds of mechanisms, generators, dynamos, etc. are built on this principle. A metal wire moving in a magnetic field causes electrons to move in it, that is, an electric current.

It is the same with us. We have to move in this field and then a “current” will be induced inside of us. And that is it; nothing more is required because in this case we will feel a completely different nature.

Michael Laitman, On Quora: “What advice do you have for a mother who feels like she is losing her son?“

I received the following letter from a worried mother who felt like she was losing her son.

Hello, Dr. Laitman. I’m a worried mom. I feel like I’m losing my son. I raised two children. The young one I pampered and surrounded with love. But I feel that I didn’t give enough love to my elder son, who is sixteen now. I was a young mother who was very busy in a difficult economic situation. I made many mistakes. And I especially didn’t give him the warmth and attention that he needed. Now he’s moving away from me. He can’t even pronounce the word “mom.” Sometimes I feel that he really hates me. It really hurts me. And it worries me. I’m trying to fix things, but I don’t know how to bring him back to me. I wanted to ask you, Dr. Laitman, maybe you have some wise piece of advice on how to save our relationship. And how can I regain my son?”

She needs to show him that she loves, supports, understands and is there for him, that she is truly his friend. That is the main thing. She will find a way of how to support him, and he will understand that he has a mom, which is a bit different to what he thought.

In short, he needs to feel that he has no closer person that understands, feels, and is there to help him in any situation.
