Can a Person Punish the Creator?

962.6Question: Is there such a concept that a person can punish the Creator?

Answer: Yes, by the fact that he does not rush in full force to the purpose of creation. This can be regarded as a punishment for the Creator. Like a child who does not want to develop, he upsets his parents a lot by this.

Question: For what actions in this world does the Creator punish a person directly?

Answer: For not wanting to connect with other people in the revelation of the Creator; this is a general formula.

For What Actions Does the Creator Punish a Person?

621Question: Are there rewards and punishments that come directly from the Creator, and not through the surrounding nature, people, and society? A person simply feels that the Creator is sending him something.

Answer: Yes. But for this, a person must adapt and place himself under the control of the Creator, then he will feel it.

Question: For what actions does the Creator punish a person?

Answer: For those that do not lead to the purpose of creation. This is not a punishment, but just amendments, restrictions, and some kind of props. This is what is called working on mistakes.

202Question: A viewer asks, “Humanity has come up with all kinds of holidays, but there is no holiday named “The Meaning of Human Life Day.” Why? Does it mean no one needs to find out what the meaning of life is?

Answer: “The Meaning of Life Day” would be a day of mourning, not a holiday. And what is the meaning of life?

One suddenly realizes that there is no sense in life, we live in vain. Life is passing us by every single day. Maybe it would be for the best if it didn’t begin at all.

A holiday, in general, is not for fun. A holiday is to commemorate. So holidays can be tainted with generally sad messages such as “the meaning of life.”

Comment: It would be great if people started searching for the meaning of life.

My Response: Well, people have been looking for it for thousands of years. So what?

Question: Why can’t they find it?

Answer: Because there is no meaning in life.

Question: What does a person live for?

Answer: To ask this question in every generation and not to find an answer.

Question: Is it important to ask this question?

Answer: This question arises from within a person, whether you want it to or not.

Comment: It seems like it’s better not to ask this question, but rather simply live our life without asking it. It’s easier that way.

My Response: Then we remain at the animal level. Humans keep evolving and that’s why we question ourselves about the meaning of life in each new generation more and more.

Question: That is, we can’t help but keep asking this question?

Answer: No, we won’t. The mere fact that we keep questioning ourselves will bring us to the point someday that we will begin to reveal it. I hope it will be very soon.

Question: What is the meaning of human life? Why am I born into this world? To be born, live some 70 to 80 years and then die? For what?

Answer: You live to search. Each person is searching subconsciously. Anyone, a bricklayer, locksmith, artisan, academician, street cleaner… no matter who or how! A drunkard… it doesn’t matter. All of them are engaged in the search for the meaning of life. And they do not even know what motivates them to engage in the search for the meaning of life. Every person, everyone does it.

Comment: Many people say: “I lived my life so well! I achieved a lot.” They seem so reassured as if they had never searched for the meaning of life.

My Response: They simply convince themselves.

Question: But they still have this question inside, don’t they?

Answer: Otherwise, they would not be alive. Every second of our life starts with the fact that a person asks the question: “What am I living for?”

Question: Otherwise, he would not live. He does not realize it and therefore lives through this given second, and again asks himself the same question: “What am I living for?” Over and over again, we go on this way with our lives, but we still lack an answer. Nonetheless, all the same, we enter the quest all over again: “What am I living for?” Thus, we live through the next second, etc. This is how it goes throughout our entire lives. Is this what we call the flow of life?

Answer: Yes. A continuous question about the meaning of life and a constant search for an answer that people do not ever reveal.

Question: What if I never ask myself this question? Are you saying, in fact, that there is no such thing?

Answer: No, it’s not up to you! That is, this question generally precedes our physiological perception. It is the most important and fundamental question of all. It is a spiritual quest: “What do I live for?” After one asks it, our body, all our organs begin to revive, blossom, and develop. As a result of living millions of diverse lives, we conclude that we will indeed find the meaning of life.

Question: What is it?

Answer: To feel the Creator, the source of all life. And we will discover It. However, so far we have continued looking for it. Yet we are already approaching a state where we will begin searching for it in a conscious way.

That is, we can already better imagine what the source of life is, what the Creator is. How, on what basis, with what qualities, and what intentions, can I approach Him, grab hold of Him, draw near Him, and cling to Him like a baby to its mother?

Question: Is this the meaning of life?

Answer: No, it is not. It is simply a tool to connect with the meaning of life. And then when we reach this stage, from there we will be looking for who He is, the Creator, the meaning of life. What does He want from us, what do we expect from Him, why is the entire meaning of life only to be drawn to Him and adhere to Him? And only then from Him will we begin to absorb what the meaning of life is.

Comment: You are telling us that there is no contentment, only a constant search.

My Response: Why do you need contentment? It’s worse than death. It is the denial of existence, it is non-existence, nothingness!

Question: Is there no such thing as retirement in this matter? Is there no pause? Will our search constantly go on? Is there no such thing as a pause?

Answer: Not at all! God forbid!

Question: Is this the pathway to eternity?

Answer: Eternity means to be in constant closeness with Him, holding on to Him, clinging to Him and adhering to Him more and more without end.

Educating People to Be People

294.2Today, many people have no work, they have nothing to do. What they should be occupied with is a new ideology, a new form of consciousness.

It is necessary to educate people to be people, that is, to unite into one single good humanity, thereby attracting an internal good force, which is the basis of the world and exists in the entire universe and holds it on itself. We should reveal this, reveal the Creator, inside our connection.

When our connection really becomes ideologically correct, equal, and homogeneous with the goal not to harm anyone but only for the sake of good for everybody, then the upper force, the Creator, will be revealed in it.

We need to teach people this, to say that the revelation of this force is our next stage of development, and we have already reached this point because humanity has been moving toward this for hundreds of thousands of years. But who is doing it?

I do not blame anyone. It is still hard for us as well. We are caught between this and that state. Therefore, we need to realize ourselves as quickly as possible.

Souls That Appear In Our Generation

549.02Question: Our world is being quietly engulfed by an epidemic of autism. According to statistics conducted in the United States, the number of autistic people has increased more than 10 times over the past 40 years. And according to forecasts, this number will only increase.

What is this phenomenon? Why is autism taking on such magnitude nowadays?

Answer: Souls that appear in our generation are souls with enormous potential. They are already partially in the other dimensions and in parallel in bodies. There is a combination of worlds happening, a preparation for a transitional process that we do not adequately comprehend today, nor does our world.

Once we lived in our world primitively; we were closer to nature. We knew the earth, our life, and how to arrange it. Possibly it was bad and unfair: wars, robberies, murders, the force of the strong over the weak, etc. But all this happened in this world and everything was clear. And now, it is not clear where we are.

If we previously lived at the expense of matter, meaning that the most important thing for us was to get food and fight for it, for territory, since land and food are adequate values—the more land you have, the more food you have—then today everything is completely different.

Today, it does not matter at all. Our current professions are so far away, so disconnected from reality, sort of airy. One or two percent of the world’s population are engaged in agriculture and feed the whole world. And what is the world engaged in? We make different toys for each other and play like “You’re in this and I’m in that.” and so on.

We invent new professions all the time, i.e., our world is becoming less and less real, less material. Accordingly, the values that we invent for ourselves become completely different.

If it used to be something very apparent and earthly, then today it is sort of airy, which speaks to our internal requests, the sort of souls that are in people today.

Besides, it results in isolation from life, depression, drugs, all kinds of departures from life. Even autistic people born now are characterized as people who, for the most part, have a connection with things that are abstract from our world, such as mathematics and computers.

All of It Is Me

423.02Question: Where does a person’s feeling that everything is divided into “I” and “others” come from?

Answer: From our egoism. Our soul is divided into two parts: the inner part, which I feel as myself, and the outer, which I feel as the outside world. These two parts are separated in me by an egoistic partition, which is evil.

Therefore, I do not feel the outside world as myself. I do not imagine that this is also me, that this is also mine. Herein lay our stupidity, short-sightedness, and blindness!

If I saw the world correctly, I would understand that all of it is me, my soul. Everything external, everything that exists, everything that is beyond me, is my one single soul. Then I would treat everything differently.

Our egoism is specially created in such a way that it contrasts the inner part of the soul with the outer one and makes us egoists who care only about what is inside. Everything that is outside, in my blindness, I do not consider as part of myself and destroy and despise it and rejoice if someone is feeling bad. Later it will be revealed, and we will soon reveal, that it is actually me. How badly I treated it! I despised and did everything to the detriment of my closest ones, my children, parents, and so on.

After all, everything that is outside of me is either my parents or my children and grandchildren—either backward or forward. This is all of humanity in previous reincarnations or in the future ones. We cannot imagine that.

Suddenly it turns out that, let’s say, the Japanese are my closest, beloved, relatives. Look what is happening to theme and I am gloating.

Such a terrible revelation of the truth awaits all of humanity! That is, you destroy, kill, harm, and suddenly you are told: “It is your little son.” And you were destroying him.

This is what we will see and on a universal scale. It is this feeling of remorse and horror that will befall a person! However, it will lead us to the fact that we finally shake ourselves up so that we mingle with each other and discover ourselves as absolutely one common whole.

Water: Information Carrier

764.3Question: They say that water has memory. What is this phenomenon?

Answer: Water has special characteristics. We know its properties such as its freezing point, dew point, as well as others, without water life on Earth would be impossible. We are completely adjusted to these properties because they are the most basic for us at the bodily level.

And in the spiritual, water is the source of everything. A source in the sense that if it accompanies any living process, there is a place for it and it will be executed correctly. As soon as the water disappears from there, it closes within itself and dries up.

Comment: It is believed that the memory of previous generations is embedded in the water.

My Response: The fact is that memory is not a property of water itself. Water is a carrier of memory, which is transferred through it from one generation to another, from one Partzuf to another. Souls communicate with each other through water. Water is a carrier of information.

“Why do we find nature beautiful?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: Why do we find nature beautiful?

Nature has no need to change. The still, vegetative and animate levels of nature that we see surrounding us are in no need of correction. Only we at the human degree need to change ourselves from living according to our inborn desire to enjoy at the expense of others and nature, to a desire to enjoy with an intention to benefit others and nature.

We find nature beautiful because its mutually opposite positive and negative forces are in balance, breaching the limits of balance only where necessary for further development. We humans are the sole creatures that exceed the limits of balance, and by doing so, we bring harm to nature.

We are the sole creatures that have an ugly quality, which is the excessive ego that makes us want to enjoy at the expense of others and nature. Even if an animal devours another animal, it takes place according to nature’s laws that act within animals, i.e. according to natural instinctive desires, and not according to an intention to harm others and to enjoy from harming others. Humans are the only part of nature that relate to their surroundings with an intention to harm, use, exploit and enjoy when feeling that they are in a higher position.

Animals harm other animals not with a calculation that they enjoy harming the other animals, but solely with a calculation that they need food for their survival and the survival of their offspring. In fact, nature has prepared exactly what and how much each creature needs in order to survive, which pertains also to humans. That is, if we would sustain our balance with nature, then nature’s other levels would exist in harmony. It might seem to us as if other creatures viciously devour one another, but we need to understand that no predator consumes more than the necessary amount. Animals, plants and even still matter all receive according to their needs, and only we people wish to enjoy from receiving surplus for ourselves.

Surplus reception for ourselves is the definition of egoism. It is an additional force of desire present in us humans beyond our physical and bodily needs, and it is the only harmful desire and force that exists in our world. Also, the cause of our suffering lies in us not knowing how to correctly and beneficially use this excessive desire that we have been given. Using our surplus desire correctly means inverting its direction to one of bestowal upon others. In other words, by prioritizing the benefit of others and nature over self-benefit, we can obtain balance with nature and experience a harmonious and peaceful life.

While nature on its still, vegetative and animate levels is free from the egoistic corruption that we experience on our human level—which is what makes us see nature as beautiful, peaceful, calm and harmonious—we need to also understand that no other part of nature has such an amazing opportunity for independent behavior than the human.

We humans are free to choose the intentions of our actions—either receiving for self-benefit alone, or bestowing upon others. No other creature in nature can egoistically receive more than what it needs for its sustenance, nor can it altruistically bestow goodness upon others and nature.

If we use the surplus desire that we have been given correctly, then we can achieve balance with nature, become its autonomous part, and feel a new sublime harmony enter our lives as a result. Moreover, our failure to do so is the cause of all of our shortcomings and suffering.
