Going Beyond The Limits Of Time

Laitman_197_01Time is an internal, personal, psychological, selfish option when I measure time as the difference between the time when I want something to aspire to something and when I realize that desire. I feel that time is always a lack of contentment.

If I were to receive what I wanted immediately, as soon as I wanted it—if the desire had been realized at once—I would not feel time. This is called being above time. For example, if receiving the desired happened with infinite speed, time approaches zero.

Our entire nature exists below the speed of light, and all the processes are rate limited. Because of this, we have time. After all, time, speed, and distance are related.

Theoretically, if we were to receive that which is desired at once, we would not sense time.

When I reach a state in which time would equal to zero—that is, if speed were infinite and the distance were reduced to zero—would space turn into a point? When can I perform an action, and immediately perform it, at the same moment, as soon as I wish? This is possible only in the act of bestowal, which depends on me.

If we moved away from the current connection between us in which each person receives from the other, to such communications when each person bestows upon the other and can bestow—he has something to give and the other desires to receive from him—then we would not feel time in the least.

Time is a habit. It is a purely psychological parameter, and this is talking scientifically.

In essence, what do we need if we are talking about real life implementation, about the correct management of time that is given to us? We need to know how to achieve the action of pure bestowal by which we rise to the level where we exist outside of time, space, and motion.

Indeed, if time equals zero, there is no motion and no space. Everything is located in the same place, at that point. We can reach this state if we change our attitude from reception to bestowal.

“Obama’s Jewish Advisers Are The Problem”

laitman_571_08 In the News (Israel HaYom [Israel Today])“In the run-up to the March 17 election, Channel 2 was issued an emergency ‘call-up notice’ to join the campaign to oust the Right. Judging from Monday’s broadcast, Channel 2 has yet to get over the election results. It appears bent on casting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a negative light, while making it look as if he has picked a fight with Obama at the expense of Israel’s future and security. That is false, grotesque, fabricated and biased. The channel is just trying to manipulate the public.

Israelis understand very well that as soon as Obama set foot in the White House, he reached out to Muslims, at the expense of Israel, and that he has continued to do so throughout his presidency, while trying to forge a dangerous agreement with Iran, once again, at Israel’s expense. Obama is no anti-Semite or anti-Israeli; the main problem is with his court Jews, who tell him the Israeli Right is dangerous because it will not buckle under pressure, and it would be better to have a Left-run government that would operate according to the instructions of heroes such as media mogul Haim Saban and former President Shimon Peres.

“Throughout the Diaspora years, there were Jews known as ‘court Jews.’ Kings, counts and others recruited these Jews to use them as their agents, helping them with financial matters and more than once as secret messengers on diplomatic missions. The court Jews would be loyal servants to their patrons, and professionals at currying favor with those in power. Because there was always a suspicion of dual loyalties — to the Jewish community and to their masters — the court Jews always had to prove their allegiance to their boss. After all, his wish was their command.

“In the modern era, the term ‘court Jews’ has been replaced by the term ‘advisers.’ Obama is surrounded by Jewish advisers. You can find them in the White House, the State Department, the media, in various NGOs and in various embassies. All of them have one thing in common: a liberal, left-wing worldview. Naturally, their loyalty rests with the United States. You can’t blame them for that. After all, their salaries, their stature and their honor all derive from U.S. taxpayers.

“These misguided individuals believe that Israelis are too primitive to think for themselves, that they are so underdeveloped that they cannot possibly know what is in their best interest. Like many others throughout history, these advisers want to save the Jews from themselves, but ignore one underlying fact: The many Jews who have decided to reside in Israel are extraordinary smart, and they are unwilling to buy the damaged goods Obama’s advisers have to offer (notwithstanding the Israeli Left’s sales pitch). Jews have returned home from the Diaspora mainly because they wanted to put an end to a long history of others making choices on their behalf.

“The Obama advisers are mainly concerned about their employer’s legacy. In the waning years of his presidency, it has become clear that he is one of the weakest presidents in the modern era. Under his watch, the U.S. has become a paper tiger aimlessly roaming the wilderness. The most powerful nation in the history of humankind now stands helpless. It has lost its resolve to take on fanatic terrorists who drive pick-up trucks fitted with machine guns. The Middle East has spiraled out of control; Europe has been unable to counter the spread of Islam; Ukraine is ablaze; but Obama? Well, he has been overly concerned with the oppressed Palestinians, going out of his way to show his compassion.

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not been conducive to Obama’s legacy. He has stood his ground, justifiably, like David facing Goliath. He has sounded the alarm everywhere, warning against the danger of a nuclear terrorist state. Any levelheaded individual listening to the voices in Tehran would have concluded long ago that the regime will never open its nuclear sites for inspection.  …”

My Comment: I think that we have the most useful weapon in the world that no other nation has: our unity. If we unite—it is not just in history (the Maccabees, etc.)—we are invincible because we have a higher power. Unity depends only on us. Let’s use it against our enemies!

The Truth About The Boycott Of Israel, Part 2

laitman_570We must understand that the  upper leadership awakens people’s negative attitude toward us because we, for our part, do not generate anything positive.

We need to become a “kingdom of priests” and a “holy nation.” Baal HaSulam speaks about this in the articles “Matan Torah (The Giving of the Torah),” “The Arvut (Mutual Guarantee),” and others. This is our destiny, but we do not execute it.

To date, the process of the formation of modern Israel has been exhausted. We haven’t created a nation that through its design would be consistent with the concept of “the people of Israel.” As a result, our country cannot be called the “nation of Israel.” In regard to culture and education, we do not correlate with what should have been.

Therefore, in recent years, the external pressure has been growing. It makes no difference who is behind it, whether it is the American president, the prime minister of France or England, a student organization, or our Arab neighbors.

Moreover, we recently have been feeling the pressure from all sides. Today, it has come to the fact that no country, no people, and no party will raise its voice for Israel. This is a clear sign of the depleted amount of time that has been allocated to us to truly organize ourselves to become what we were to become: “a light to the nations.”

In addition, we can only be a light to the nations on condition that we unite among ourselves. After all, our nation, unlike others, was not founded on a genetic basis. Our nation is a group of people united by ideology rather than biology.

It is necessary to take into account what is said in the Torah and what Kabbalists say: We have a special role, and we need to implement it properly, first of all, with regard to the people in the country of Israel.

Instead Of Boycotting: Love

laitman_568_01Question: Europe’s hostile attitude toward Israel these days scares me. In recent years there is a real boycott of Israel all around. So much so that even FIFA threatened to ban Israel from the World Cup.

Why don’t they want us? Where does all this hatred stem from that has even reached the field of sports? After all, sports always has brought nations together.

Answer: This negative attitude has been felt for quite a long time. Jews usually are not welcome anywhere. But the problem is that we don’t want to admit this. After all, if we recognized it and wanted to solve this problem, we would explore the root of this hatred. The wisdom of Kabbalah tells us that anti-Semitism stems from the fact that Jews have the key for the good and happy life throughout the world.

This is especially evident today when we learn more and more about our world and to what extent it is integrally connected and how we all are connected to one another. In this integral system, we need a special plan, the right education, that will help us establish good relations between us. Otherwise, we simply will devour one another.

Humanity is discovering the new law of integrality in the world, which means complete mutual interdependence, and humanity is despaired from the helplessness it is facing. All the systems that we built in the last three centuries don’t work.

We knew how to live in a world that was made of individualists where everyone lived on his own. But today we are discovering that we are totally dependent on one another. It is impossible to move without touching others, and the ties between nations are so tight that we need another style of life. We even cannot establish friendly relations within the family; everyone is in a conflict with others, children, parents, etc. Everything is falling apart because there is no force of connection between us, the glue that can keep us together. This force comes through a special connection according to the wisdom of Kabbalah.

The Israeli nation was established by a group of Abraham’s students that he gathered in ancient Babylon and taught how to connect and unite with one another. However, thousands of years later, the Israeli nation has lost the principles of all of Israel are friends, love thy neighbor as thyself, and the mutual guarantee of being as one man in one heart.

Only the words remain, but we don’t feel any connection between us. When we returned to the land of Israel, we didn’t build ourselves as the nation of Israel must be—united as one man.

All the nations are angry at us precisely because we are not connected by the right ties and therefore don’t set an example for others. If the Israeli nation were to establish good relations among its own people, we would feel how happiness and prosperity flow into the world, the good force of unity. This means that the Israeli nation will become a light to the nations of the world by setting an example for everyone as to how they should connect. This is the reason that, now the most important thing is to attain unity among the Israeli nation. Then, the entire world will want to follow this example. If the world demanded that Israel set an example of this method of unity every day, we would have to learn how to be that example.

Nature ties us all together, but we must turn these ties into good ties on our own. The mission of the Israeli nation is to teach all the nations of the world how to do it. The source of anti-Semitism is actually the fact that Israel doesn’t reveal the method of unity to the world.

If the nation of Israel united, all the nations of the world would feel it and learn from us. This means to be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. The world’s attitude toward Israel would change immediately from hatred to love and gratitude for the good example. People would come to us to learn how to attain unity.

The Revolution Of The 21st Century: On The Benefit Of Integrated Society

laitman_944(Continued from “Revolution Of The 21st Century: Rich Man, Poor Man”)

Question: How exactly will the relationship between rich and poor change due to the method of integral education?

Answer: Thanks to it, we will reveal the system of our interconnection. There is no alternative. To the extent to which these and others are capable, it is necessary to form the correct mechanisms of interaction.

The bottom line is that the two categories of the population receive a new profit, a new fulfillment. They reveal the upper force, life on the human degree, Adam, who is similar to the upper force. They feel that they acquire a new world that is above life and death, above poverty and wealth.

This fulfills a person, replacing former pleasures. Now, he is warmed up not by money, bank accounts, sales, and factories, newspapers and steamships. All this gives only indirect, ever-fading pleasure. Here, a person receives fulfillment directly.

Indeed, our corporeal nature is the desire to enjoy. Its true fulfillment is what we define by the term “Light.” So, the integral method allows us to fill this desire not by money, honor, and power, but by the Light, as such.

There is no replacement. Compared to this, everything else is a substitute. Well-established social relations will allow us to receive natural fulfillment that is obviously more efficient and more attractive than its substitutes, which are generally accepted today.

Question: How can a person get this Light?

Answer: He must be properly connected with others. Then, together they create a single system corresponding to the unity of the Light. The properties of this system in which a person exists coincide with the property of the Light, fulfillment, and then a person feels fulfillment in himself.

Thus, our unity is just a condition on which we receive eternal, perfect fulfillment, and due to it, we reveal life at a higher degree.

Question: So, ultimately, everything depends on our relationships?

Answer: Of course. The Light shows me that we are all in the same system. The formation of the current conditions in it does not depend on us, but now on the basis of the current situation, we must come to a decision.

I make calculations not with what used to be, but with what will be. We need to form such a connection between each other so that together we build a new society. What for? To reveal eternal life in it.

In conclusion, hatred of the rich will end when they, together with the poor, act for the benefit of a unified, integrated society.

Communism: Utopia Or Reality, Part 8

Laitman_115_05Thousands of years ago the wisdom of Kabbalah predicted that at the end of the 20th century, beginning from the year 1995 and on, humanity would come to a level of egoistic development in which it would feel that there is no bright, alluring, and attractive future ahead for it, but a “common mass grave.”

Until this time it was useless to turn to people who believed that they possessed a normally developing ego with which they could build a society that seems rational and correct to them. People had everything to satisfy their ego: family, children, a plot of land. However, egoism constantly grew: there were two cows, then will even be another; there were a dozen sheep, and then there will be another dozen, etc.

But when a person reaches the peak of egoistic development, he begins to understand that this development is a blind alley; it doesn’t lead anywhere: “I feel that I am not the one using the ego for self-enjoyment; it manages me.” In other words, a person feels egoism as an extraneous force.

A sensation like this awakened and appeared in the 60’s in the United States, with the “hippie” youth movement. The young were attracted to Eastern doctrines, began to organize communes and use drugs. From this everything began.

This was a new drive that was created in people, a new egoism that indicated that it was not appropriate to invest anything in this world; it is finite. So it is worthwhile to think about something else. But about what? And since there were no answers, the hippies remained empty and gradually disappeared from the world.
