Is It All About Me?

508.1Comment: Max watched your video and wrote to ask: “So is it all about me and not the world ?!”

My Response: Of course it is all about the person. And what about the world? What is the world? The world is a reflection of you.

Comment: But a person cannot imagine that there are no people, there is no world, there is no bad. This is very difficult for him.

My Response: I understand this because for any person, including a Kabbalist, there are periods when he is enclosed in himself and feels everything through himself and does not give an account of this. He is especially shaken so well. The upper force is working on him. And then it gives him the opportunity to return to the correct perception of reality.

On the opposites of these impressions, his inner and outer, he can determine what this world that we perceive in our senses means and what the real, true world that we perceive above our senses means. Faith is higher than knowledge.

Question: You say that he perceives everything in himself. Does this mean that he perceives everything in his feelings? Is this a wrong perception of the world?

Answer: This is incorrect, incomplete, and wrong. He must complete this by rising higher, above the senses.

Question: But it is impossible to give an example of this, right?

Answer: No. This person must reveal himself.

Will the Brain Be Controlled by Computer?

962.7Question: In the future we will be able to control our brains using a computer or smartphone. Does it mean that we ourselves will become robots?

Answer: There will be such a connection perhaps partially. At least, it will be possible to give signals and commands through a smartphone or through a computer, and to extract information from ourselves and print it.

After all, what is a person? Just an interface.

First Intention Then Action

627.2Question: What is the difference between thought and action? We always judge people by their actions, but thoughts practically produce the same actions. Let’s say a person wants to kill someone, we do not judge him by his thoughts.

Answer: In our world, we judge a person by actions, and in the spiritual world by thoughts. That is the difference. Therefore, we must correct our thoughts, as they say, intention.

Comment: Surely people do terrible things in their thoughts! They would have killed each other already.

My Response: This is why we are below the level of the spiritual world; we do not have its forces; otherwise, we would have taken this force and destroyed the entire world. But you are given the opportunity to have it only to the extent that you can make correct use of it and not in any other case.

The spiritual program is created in such a way that there is always an intention first and only then an action. Therefore, as soon as you may have some bad action and a bad intention before it, you immediately fall from this degree and do not have the strength to move on.

Live One Day

282.01Question: What does it mean to live one day?

Answer: This is correct, live one day. But this is in the sense that today is my day; I make it; I fully receive my impressions from what the Creator gives me and I process them within myself. I constantly adjust myself, my impression, and my reflections of the world in myself, and I do it all in order to justify the Creator at all levels of my perception.

Question: Is this called living one day?

Answer: Yes, this is a very difficult condition. You see the world in a certain way and you have to process it in yourself as if it is perfect. It seems to be impossible.

Question: You are given certain evil, and you turn it into good, as it were. Is it as if good has come to you even though it is complete, absolute evil?

Answer: Yes. And you have to bring it to such a state that you will not even see and feel that there is so much evil in the world and that it is all absolute evil.

After all, when you are engaged in correcting your perception of the world, every step you take forward will show you the world as more terrible, and even more, and even more terrible. The pictures will be scary. The Creator has such a film factory and the scariest tapes will be spinning in front of you, and you will have to justify all this.

Expansion of Consciousness

537Question: In the material world there are states of birth and death, childhood and old age, and in the spiritual world this is expressed in the expansion of perception. What does the expansion of perception mean?

Answer: Each time you don’t die, but, as they say, you change your “skin.” You change all your instruments, desires, and insights for new ones.

The cycles for you do not go through a complete shutdown, as it is in our world, because you do them yourself. You yourself go from one state to another, and therefore, they are controlled; they are desirable.

A person does this himself, within himself, and attains the upper world. He begins to gradually expand these boundaries, to feel himself in another.

Why Is there Acceleration?

292Question: The pace of change in the world is noted as a problem for businesses, world leaders, and the general population alike. Many are not able to adapt to it and simply cannot keep up with the changing world.

Why is there this acceleration? Why are we being pushed harder and harder?

Answer: It is to give us a sense of life and movement. If there were a constant speed, we simply would not notice this movement and the fact that something is happening. We only feel changes in states.

Question: What if people feel that there is a change, an acceleration, can they somehow assess it, influence it, or check it?

Answer: They will try to understand the nature of the matter and toward where it’s heading. If we are moving from point A to point B, then let’s see what lies ahead.

See the Whole Picture of the World

764.2Question: It is very difficult for a person to predict any changes in himself and in the world even if he makes an effort. And as for society, this picture is generally blurred. Why are changes and their consequences unpredictable and hidden from us?

Answer: They are not hidden. We simply do not see the whole picture of the world. But if we wanted to, we would see it with all its changes and even influence them by ourselves.

Question: In principle is it possible for a person to feel the whole picture of the world, know the laws by which it operates, perform actions, and see how everything is changing?

Answer: Yes. This must be learned. It is possible.

Question: Generally, can there be life without a change? Does such a state exist in nature?

Answer: No. Then it would not be life and not even death. Death is one of the states of life. Perpetual motion.

Question: Can there be reverse movement?

Answer: In any direction.

The Book of Zohar Is the Entrance Ticket to Spirituality

151Everyone knows that The Book of Zohar is special. This is the only Book that can lead man into the spiritual world. It has become famous because of its unique purpose, and humanity treats it in a special way.

A man is born into this world without knowing anything about it. Nature has prepared a very strange entrance into the world for him, nothing is explained to him in advance, and sensations, memory, or mind are not transmitted to him from his father or mother or from previous generations.

He is born as a piece of flesh and begins to receive impressions from this world: heat, cold, light, darkness, sounds, noise, and silence.

At first, he does not feel anything at all. Gradually, he begins to react to sounds, light, and then to the attitude of his mother, to some actions upon him, and he laughs or cries. He begins to explore the world, seeks to find out what surrounds him and gets acquainted with his body. This is how he grows.

It is amazing that a couple of days after its birth an animal cub knows everything and can survive in this world on its own, and a human baby is not capable of anything without the care of adults. Besides, if it is left in the forest, it becomes the same as the animals around it.

The whole development of a child in our world takes place on the basis of the impressions he receives and examples and behavior patterns that exist in the world and that adults show and explain to him.

There is music for children, toys, playgrounds with sandboxes and slides, various construction sets and games, all so that children learn to break, assemble, and disassemble, and distinguish colors and sounds. All this exists for the development of man in order to prepare him for life in our world.

Parents and an environment are ready to provide the child with everything so that he grows up befitting his generation and the world in which he lives. Instinctively, we are created in such a way that we want to give the child everything there is in us. Otherwise, he will not be ready for life.

Such upbringing is natural, it comes from our nature, and we cannot destroy it. We cannot stuff a person with information by connecting him directly to a computer and filling him with encyclopedic knowledge.

We cannot fill him with education and knowledge immediately after birth and develop sensations, reactions, and sensitivity in him; only gradually, step-by-step, to the extent that he accumulates impressions, does he himself take the form of an individual.

It takes the first 20 years of a person’s life and even more. And as adults, we also continue to learn and develop, and when we come of age, we regret that we did not know something earlier.

A similar process of development takes place with us at our birth and formation in the upper world. The only difference is that I exist in this world, and it really interferes with me!

But I also need a spiritual father and mother, an environment, toys, education, upbringing, and explanation. And if I do not get examples, I will not be ready for the spiritual world, it will not open up to me, and I will not recognize it.

Just as a person cannot exist in our world without information about it, so his soul cannot exist in the upper world without information about it. Moreover, the knowledge of the upper world is a feeling of life in it (Baal HaSulam, “Body and Soul”).

Imagine that if a newborn baby were left lying in a crib and not provided with anything other than what is necessary for his existence. He would remain a piece of flesh.

We will not be able to develop if we do not receive new, varied impressions. We may not understand them, just as a baby does not understand them, but we are first filled with all sorts of external influences and impressions, and in this way we grow.

The same is true in spirituality. We must fill ourselves with various external influences that come from the spiritual world. But they do not exist in our world!

It is exactly this “external” influence that The Book of Zohar has on us. And that is why this Book is special. If a person reads or listens to this Book, regardless of his understanding, the Book fills him with various impressions of the unknown upper world. No other Book has such an impact on a person.

Gradually, as we study The Book of Zohar, we will receive impressions from it, accumulate them, and they will penetrate us, and will take care of our advancement.

Of course, we will accompany reading The Book of Zohar with small explanations in order to give a person some connection with its narrative.

But in fact, a person can read it even without any explanations with only the desire to understand, like a child with widely open eyes wants to attain the world and to know everything because nature does not allow him to remain at rest for a minute.

If we open our senses, heart, and mind just to absorb everything from this book, like a baby absorbing the world with enthusiastic eyes, we will move forward.

And it does not matter whether a person has a brilliant mind or it is difficult for him to learn, whether he is lazy or agile, rational or sensitive, everyone will receive the development most favorable for him.

Wake Up and See the Light

261Our world is the smallest. It occupies a very small volume, and everything else is of a completely different nature. Our nature is given to us only so that we can begin to develop based on it.

It turns out that it is very difficult for us to understand what this real upper world is that we actually exist in all the time and that now we are like in a dream, like in some kind of unconscious state, as if we have fallen somewhere.

Thus, we need to try with our own efforts, even with very small efforts, to get out of this world into the next world. This opportunity is given to us. It is called the method of Kabbalah, that is, the method of receiving the higher world, the upper light, the upper force, and with its help we can work in the opposite way: not in receiving, not in winning, but in the opposite way—in giving.

Change Yourself and the World Will Change

112Question: For the last 50 years shops have been filled with books in that say a person, with the help of his own internal changes, can change the picture of the world, the world around him. This is indicated by various methods and teachers. The information stream is filled with quotes from the series “Change Yourself, Change the World.”

On the other hand, for an ordinary person, this is still a rather blurry feeling. He seems to understand it mentally and tries to change himself, but does not see any changes in the world. He just does not have the strength to do it. Only a few people out of all mankind can boast of this.

What is it—a big deception?

Answer: No. It is just that a person perceives the entire universe, the entire world, himself, and others within himself.

Therefore, by changing his qualities a little, he feels the world differently and sees everything differently. No more than that.

Question: Can he initiate his changes himself?

Answer: Yes. He is given the initial conditions in which he can change himself. This is the directly proportional correlation: I have changed something in myself and the world has changed according to some formula.

Question: Is it possible to see this?

Answer: Absolutely. For example, let me now fill you with some interesting things, say, anecdotes, no matter what. And you will look at the world in a different way. It is silly, of course, but in principle, it is clear that everything depends on the state of the person.
