Question: There are histories of wars, religions, and the development of science. Why is human development judged by these three main parameters?

Answer: War is also a kind of development. On the one hand, there seems to be subjugation, death, and cruelty, while on the other hand, a very tough and vivid exchange of information, feelings, and contacts. There is no getting away from this, this is how war manifests.

In addition, the development of humanity is judged by these three parameters since they are very clear manifestations of egoism.

Moreover, egoism is manifested in the internal sphere: the way a person arranges his home, the way a person arranges his society (feudal, slaveholding, capitalist, etc.), including technology and science, and the way a person arranges himself internally, including religions, goals for the past and goals for the future.

All this comes from the fact that our egoistic desire forms in four phases: first, second, third, and fourth, as we learn from Kabbalah. Therefore, we need their parallel development: me as a person—my comfortable physiological state, including family, me in society, me in science, and me regarding spiritual development. That is, we develop on all four levels.

Today we are beginning to feel that the past paradigm of the world is not working. We cannot improve our condition in any way. Everything is over. It is as if we are being pulled out of the sandbox and pushed into a new society where we must be mutually connected with each other in some kind of adult enterprise.

When we played in the sandbox, everyone could play in their corner, with their own cars, roll them, and make cakes out of sand. And now we have been thrust into a completely different state.

We have been placed in some kind of community and told: “Now you must be in good dependence on each other, find a common language among yourselves, and somehow communicate correctly.” And we do not want to. We want to continue being independent, and not take on any obligations. That is where the problem is.

Question: Let’s say a person has power, fame, security, a car. How can such people be convinced? They absolutely do not want to move away from that “sandbox.”

Answer: I think that they will quickly become convinced that they are losing everything and are under a great threat for their very existence, and that they suddenly are becoming beggars. For such a person to become a beggar means to descend to the level of a normal, ordinary middle class.

For him, it is just something unimaginable. And it will happen. All his external gloss will disappear, no social, political, economic ties with the help of which he held onto his level will work.

There will only be one thing left: to agree that the whole of humanity, as nature suggests to us, should really be connected on one single level, in full interconnection, mutual assistance to each other, and thus achieve the highest comfortable state, spirituality.

Comment: As a rule, the more a person has, the more difficult it is for him to connect with others.

My Response: If only a person would start engaging with something above this level, with the purpose of existence, the laws of nature, our development, and so on, then, in general, he will easily tolerate parting with what he had before; it will, of course, seem superfluous to him.

Comment: But by nature, the less a person has, the easier it is for him to make a revolution in his life.

My Response: No, it just seems that way; it is purely psychological. I do not think that is really the case. Not to that extent. It depends not on the status, but on the level of his knowledge, attainment, and awareness of the necessity.

Question: What is special about today’s Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, for you? What do you feel?

Answer: We see that the world is not getting better, that is for sure. People are not getting better; they are just tired. They are tired of this world, of this life, of what is happening to them, and of the fact that there is nothing good in the future for the children. Therefore, you cannot slander a person. This is the way he is, this is how he was created—an evil, indifferent man.

Comment: And you do not slander a person.

My Response: I do not slander either a person or the Creator. It is just a given that we must clearly understand and after that begin to ask—ask for correction of man and the whole world.

We need to recognize that this evil is a consequence of our relationships with each other. We cannot rise above ourselves so that we wish good for everyone. We just cannot. This is the reason for our impatience with each other and everything that happens to us.

I hope that these latest events and the fact that we are now in a discussion of what is happening with the world, with people, and with each of us, I hope that they will ultimately lead to the understanding that we need to correct this world. It depends only on our desires.

I think that the Creator specifically plays all this out in front of us in this way so that we realize the need for changes.

The history of human development is an external manifestation of our inner egoistic development.

The fact is that egoistic development takes place in humanity only in its various manifestations, concentrations, and pace. It pushes people forward. This is how we have evolved over many millions of years.

As egoism developed, this process became more and more intense. Let’s say that the transition from dinosaurs to monkeys took 100 million years, and the transition from a monkey to Homo Erectus, speaking man, took 2 million years. Meaning, this process is very steep, exponential.

Naturally the development of egoism is what happens in nature because the ego is the matter of all nature.

Therefore, the only question here is how different degrees, different egoistic forms, get their application in the outside world, both in the form of wars and in the form of technological advances. Suddenly, for example, new weapons appear, or printing develops, or some kind of progress culturally, or there is a transition from one system to another, the rise of some countries over others, and so on. All this is determined by the growing egoism.

Answer: The one who objects to the donkey is the donkey.

Answer: There is no need. The lion is right to condemn him.

Question: Then the question is how can one argue with donkeys, since it happens all the time? You say: “Don’t argue at all.” But what should one do?

Answer: There is nothing you can do. If they exist in nature, then the wisest thing is not to get into an argument with them.

Question: That is, if there is a stubborn person, and you understand that he is stubborn, you don’t have to prove your truth to him in any way?

Answer: In no way.

Question: How will you build your truth if there are, say, only donkeys around you?

Answer: Tell them all that they are right. And if there are a lot of them, let them sort it out among themselves.

Answer: Each tries to convince the other that he is right.

Question: And what does this result in?

Answer: That everybody is a donkey.

Question: But what are my actions, after all? Quietly, calmly build my own on the sidelines, without entering into disputes?

Answer: Yes, mind your own business.

Question: How will I draw my own, non-donkey line?

Answer: Don’t draw it.

Question: How will this be resolved then?

Answer: It will be resolved somehow. If the world is made up of donkeys, then nothing can be done. Understand what it is like.

Question: I will ask you carefully: does the world consist mainly of donkeys after all?

Answer: We can see it!

Question: Yes, we see that everyone defends their position. What is the future of this world then? Surely it has to come to some sort of decision after all?

Answer: No.

Question: Can it continue like this?

Answer: Yes. The last thousands of years that we have known the world, this is how it happens.

Comment: It’s going to go on and on.

My Response: Of course. Give the donkeys a chance to live normally in this world.

Question: What will this result in?

Answer: This will lead to the fact that there will be wars after which there will be little left.

Question: Nobody will give in?

Answer: Nobody. After some kind of war, people will remain by the ashes; they will sit quietly by the fire, drink tea and talk. It will no longer matter to them.

Question: Former enemies, is that what you mean?

Answer: Yes, even enemies.

Question: Will these wars go on again?

Answer: They will, inevitably.

Comment: Wars, I mean even our skirmishes.

My Response: As long as egoism exists, it will not disappear. This is human nature.

Question: How can we change our nature? How can we rise above the “donkey,” to get out of the donkey state?

Answer: Only if people understand the meaning of the existence of the world, countries, and people, will they be able to do something about it.

Question: Then tell me, what should they understand?

Answer: They must understand what we are saying: that the world is in its egoistic development. We have to realize this. We have to rise above our egoism. If we want to, then it will happen; and if we don’t want to, then it won’t happen. Then after some generations they will dig us up and understand what happened here.

Question: I don’t want it to be like this. What do you think might work?

Answer: Only evil can work. When evil manifests more, then we can rise above it. Evil must be realized. It is not that the world is collapsing. It must be a realized evil, that this is the nature of man and only if we decide and shout together to the Creator will we be saved.

Question: So you are talking about the recognition of my evil as such, in everyone? Is this evil?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Then what function is assigned to us?

Answer: I hope that our work will still show its result somewhere. Somewhere it will.

According to the law of evolution, we have reached a state when nature no longer changes at the inanimate, vegetative, or animate levels, but begins to change at the level of mind and desires.

Previously, when we had not yet reached the level of the monkey, nature was constantly changing physically, and under the pressure of various cataclysms, explosions of stars, etc., it created matter. Then this matter formed the planet Earth. Then life appeared on it, and all this was under the external influence of nature, which formed the inanimate, vegetative, and animate levels of matter.

Today nature influences us! But it is already at the next level, at the level of the mind, at the level of its program, its purpose, and it manifests itself in new conditions.

You do not want to become extinct a dinosaur? Then adjust to it! Otherwise, you will die out.

Kabbalah tells us how to adapt to the natural conditions that are manifested before us today.

It seems to us that we, today’s humanity, are in some way the heirs of two civilizations: Rome and Ancient Greece. The government structure and the structure of the judicial and banking systems come from Rome. Philosophy comes from Greece and in a later period partly from Byzantium. But in principle, all this concerns the corporeal development of humanity.

However, the internal altruistic spiritual development of the world came from the Israelites, a group of people who fell from the spiritual level to the corporeal one. All world religions originate from them, and today they have given the nations of the world a certain preparation for the perception of spiritual ideas.

Thus, humanity was prepared for the fact that the story of mutual infiltration and communication would move to a new level. According to Kabbalah, this is bound to happen either by awareness or by being pushed to happiness by a stick.

Question: Do corporeal and spiritual development, in fact, occur simultaneously?

Answer: In spirituality, the beginning, the end, and all the stages of development exist from the very beginning. On the corporeal level, however, there is none of this; it all unfolds only in us. We can go through these stages either with a good feeling or with an evil feeling. We choose between good and evil.

Every time you have to be in a certain state. If you want to understand and feel what is good for you, you need to transform yourself so that the next state prepared for you is desirable. If you are ready for this, you will perceive your whole path well. If you are not ready, you will perceive it as bad. But that does not change the path.

There is a mechanism inside you that shows you a movie that you have to go through. You just order your attitude to this movie with your constant frame-by-frame development.

In other words, in spirituality, all this already exists in one single picture. And you gradually reveal this picture for yourself as you develop either under the influence of suffering or under the influence of awareness.

It is as if you begin to see clearly and you receive a new vision, a new opportunity to feel, to see, to realize, to understand, and to absorb. In this way, a new world opens up to you.

Question: In the material world, we see an external picture of the history of the development of egoism. What is happening behind this external layer?

Answer: Behind the external layer of the history of the development of egoism there is a manifestation of light in a not-yet-formed pot (a common spiritual Kli , vessel), and this causes us suffering. In other words, the light that should already fill the pot, let us say, by one millimeter or two centimeters, is revealed, but the pot is not ready. Then the light is perceived as darkness.

The deficiency of this pot is revealed to us, the deficiency of our connection with each other. Therefore, it is felt as a global, integral crisis.

As soon as we begin to unite, instead of a negative crisis, we will feel positive fulfillment. Everything you desire, every one of your wishes, all of them together, will be completely satisfied, and not only on the earthly level.

You will begin to feel these desires in connection with others as desires on an entirely different level, as the unity of one global, integral system in which you will feel your eternal perfect state. It cannot be conveyed in words. It is a different dimension.

In science, diversity of opinions and disputes are useful and help global advancement; but in politics disagreements, on the contrary, can lead to division in society and civil war. Is it possible to have different and even opposite opinions about what the character of the country and its purpose should be and at the same time feel like one nation and one family?

Everything is possible in this life only if we look at how to strengthen the connection between us despite all the differences of opinion. If the difference breaks our bond, then we should not reveal it until we have strengthened our connection.

Each step should begin with greater unity, and only then can we discuss where our opinions don’t match. And then, despite the fact that one thinks one way and the another thinks another way, we will decide how to unite, and from this unity we will see the answer.

In fact the answer is simple: the right decision is the revelation of the Creator. When the Creator reveals Himself in us, He gives us all the right decisions.

After all, society is not a laboratory where we can conduct experiments and verify an unambiguous result. It turns out that there are not those who are right and those who are wrong because the truth is above all our disputes. The truth is that “all transgressions will be covered by love.”
