A World Of Bribes

laitman_220In the News (Front News): “The annual volume of bribes in the world is estimated at one trillion dollars. This was reported in the press service of the United Nations.

“’The annual volume of bribes in the world is estimated at one trillion dollars. At the same time, the world economy is losing another $2.6 trillion due to corruption. According to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in developing countries, corruption-related losses exceed the amount of official development assistance by 10 times,’ the report said.”

Question: What kind of a world are we living in?

Answer: We are living in an egoistic world that truly cannot get along in any other form.

If a person is managed by his egoism and doesn’t get any other education, he thinks only of how he can profit the most from any task, from any work. This is the natural wish of our egoism.

This is how we are arranged; it is our nature. How can a person limit himself and not take, not steal, not exploit his opportunities in the workplace? He must necessarily do this.

In principle, the efficiency of human society is almost zero. Absolutely everything is stolen!

Question: It turns out that almost every person in the world takes bribes?

Answer: Of course. Does he produce everything society demands of him? And if he shorts giving society even a little of his energy, even a little of his strength, knowledge, or something else, this is already theft. We cannot do anything against this without educating people.

Question: In what circumstance will a person not take bribes or steal?

Answer: In the event that he has a higher reward. He will begin giving everything to people to receive a connection with the Creator as a payoff.

If a person treats all people like he does himself, then in this relationship with others he will find a “secret door,” which is an exit to the Garden of Eden, to the spiritual world.

Everything there is managed according to other laws, according to the laws of bestowal and love. This is what we must attain. Today we are facing such an opportunity, and everything else we will reveal in this world is how unbearable it is. And so we will get closer to this possibility.

Change Rather Than Coercion

Laitman_120Question from Facebook: How can you talk about unity? In the days of Stalin, the government and society seemed too united. Hitler also united and educated people. You didn’t clarify exactly what slogans and ideology the government should adopt in order to unite and educate us, society.

Answer: Society must be educated. The problem is that in the past, nobody was taught how to be a member of society. A person can be manipulated by any education system with any doctrines, but a person must change, not be coerced. This has never been done before. A person has to become a social being.

By nature, a person is an egoist. Throughout human history, all attempts to change humanity and build a correct, good society managed by the people themselves have failed. People (even socialists) appoint representatives who with slogans of unity, nationalism, etc. still take everything for themselves and ultimately become capitalists. Therefore, the people always suffer.

An ideal and correct society can be built only by changing human nature. The method of Kabbalah exists for this purpose. It attracts a unique energy that is concealed in nature and is able to give form to a collective being. It enables a person to think about the whole society and not just about himself. Then we will truly be able to build a society in which people act willingly, thinking about the common good of the entire society.

I am sure this is possible because I know these hidden forces are waiting for us to use them and realize this idea.

From What “Point” Does A Kabbalist Make A Prediction?

laitman_250

Question: Spirituality is beyond time; past, present, and future don’t exist. From what point does a Kabbalist make a prediction?

Answer: There is no connection between one and the other! Spirituality is a state where you come to a higher level, where a person begins to work on his egoism and builds everything above it. Therefore, in the Kabbalist’s perspective, time doesn’t exist because time is one of the parameters in an egoistic system. However, if the calculation “for my sake” or “not for my sake” ceases to exist, then the parameter of time disappears. Everything happens precisely according to Einstein’s theory; you go beyond the limitations of time, space, and motion. But only beyond egoism.

This doesn’t exist within egoism. Therefore, we exist within time. When you say “spirituality,” don’t try to squeeze it between us. It exists only for people who go beyond the material framework and acquire completely new Kelim (vessels) for perceiving reality.

Question: But doesn’t a Kabbalist make predictions that come from spirituality?

Answer: No. I am not talking about spirituality, only about our world and those people who are in it.

Question: So in what way does a Kabbalist’s prediction Kabbalist differ from others?

Answer: It isn’t different. Physicists make predictions, so do philosophers, and so do I. I am simply pointing out we can expect nothing good based on egoism because it develops and is the basis of our life.

Question: Somehow you must start with alternatives for a solution. What will happen if humanity begins to get closer to the law of altruism?

Answer: If it starts; it is very difficult to believe this. But if they begin, then certainly all events will begin to change according to the changes of humanity.

Question: In Kabbalistic sources it is written that everything is determined. If a third world war is programmed and we suddenly begin to relate to each other well, could it not happen?

Answer: It wouldn’t happen.

Question: But doesn’t it have to happen according to the program?

Answer: Why must it? Nothing is programmed except for the conclusion! But when it will happen and in what way you will reach it is not determined by the system. Therefore, a person has freedom of choice, which exists from beginning to end. It is given to a person with the recognition of evil and with his ascendance to the good. According to this, a person seems to sweeten time.

Question: Does this mean that there are several options for development?

Answer: Every option is before you at every moment. You move a bit in a good direction—the world becomes better. Move a bit in a bad direction—the world becomes worse. Everything depends on the connections between us. We need to resemble the global law of nature that includes the entire system within it. And when we also build a global system of interconnection and interdependence, then we make ourselves similar to the general law of nature and feel comfortable within it.

And when, on the contrary, we follow our egoism, which distances us from each other with hatred and all kinds of calculations, then we oppose the general law of nature and ultimately get what is.

Question: What is the mechanism of the connection between people?

Answer: It is the simplest law, the law of equivalence of form, equivalence of characteristics. We live in a sphere that is absolutely altruistic, called the “Creator” or the higher general nature. The more we resemble it, the more we feel comfortable. And to the degree that we differ from it—then we don’t.

Similarity to nature is expressed by the fact that we must make efforts to assume the mutual laws and relationships that exist in the higher nature. These are the laws of bestowal and love. In this state I perceive all as parts of a single mechanism within which we simultaneously turn in complete harmony with each other. Then it is good for us—no one inhibits anyone, no one is pulled forward against his will, and we are all in an ideal state.

Nature Will Not Leave Anyone Behind

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: If a person does not have a point in the heart and does not require a conscious movement to his source, what is the matter with his calming himself with drugs? He isn’t able to do anything anyway and he is completely dependent on those with a point in the heart.

Answer: I do not think that you are right. We are all inside a huge mechanism like its gears or cogwheels. Therefore, there is no one, no matter what he is, who does not rotate with everyone.

Let’s say a lonely fisherman is sitting on a small island in the Pacific, making his living fishing. But if a typhoon or a tsunami comes, then he will no longer have fish or this island. Nature will not leave anyone behind, indifferent, out of work.

Everyone will have to understand what is at the end of the days of this egoistic world that needs a serious “reset.” There will be no one left who does not understand this.

Who would have thought 10 to 15 years ago that America would be in such a regressive state and that the oil and gas Russia lives on would gradually disappear? No one.

In general, our not very reliable system of mutual unity of peoples and countries and their inability to properly interact with each other will be exposed.

This is the main problem; in the global world, egoism separates us and does not allow us to conduct business as usual.

What Do Drugs And Social Networks Have In Common?

laitman_959Question: What difference does it make if what disconnects a person and makes him lose consciousness is a drug in the form of substance, pop culture, computer games, or social network?

Answer: The fact is that there are drugs and there are sedatives. They aren’t the same. If a person doesn’t become stupefied and he just needs to calm down in order to somehow conquer his egoism, then this is one thing.

However, if he uses drugs to disconnect from correcting himself and the world through himself, then this is different. One should feel the vague boundary between calming down and disconnection so there isn’t overkill.

Question: But the word “dependence” is present in both cases: one can be dependent on drugs or on social networks. But isn’t dependence on social networks less dangerous?

Answer: It doesn’t matter. A person is disconnecting from the true goal.

Remark: But the lofty ideal for social networks was that they would bind humanity.

My Comment: At first, that’s what we thought. But social networks, like everything else, are in the hands of egoists. And whatever humanity invents works to our detriment.

The initial ideas are always kind. The inventor himself thinks that he is giving a gift to humanity. But we see the outcome. And this is natural because in the end it is our egoism at work.

What Professions Will Disappear?

laitman_961.2Question: Do you know which professions will disappear?

Answer: Alot of them. Practically all of them.

Question: They write that there will be taxis without drivers, hotels will be booked online, and editors and writers will also disappear because a computer robot has already won a literary contest.

It has been established that the accuracy of a computer lawyer is 90%, and that of a human being—70%; the IBM Watson device diagnoses cancer four times better than any doctor; solar energy will become so widely used and cheap in the future that the entire coal industry will shut down, and so on.

Israeli writer Yuval Noah Harari in his popular book Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow warns that as a result, humanity could split into two subspecies. The first would be so-called pagan gods, the owners of artificial intelligence and super specialists, and the second, all the rest. And the rest can become entire countries and continents.

Do you really think humanity will break into these two subspecies?

Answer: In the process of achieving this state, both groups will, of course, be very different from one another: some will be engaged in programming and the invention of all these machines and others will passively consume because nobody needs them.

They are just a mass of protein that will also be fed special substances that lower their desire to reproduce and everything else. They will become like “vegetables,” not people. And those who will create the technologies will command them. But this is not the end of the problem, not like a Hollywood movie, because in addition, there is still the upper management and the goal.

Humanity does not exist by itself, separately. We see it in nature and everywhere: the ultimate goal must already be determined and it governs all phases and steps of development. So it will not turn out that everything will stop, as conceived by this clever man.

Everything will be different. People will undergo significant internal changes; they will understand that they are killing themselves in this way. And it is not the same as if we kill ourselves in this world when we want to get rid of it as quickly as possible.

In fact, people will gradually discover the highest form of existence that we can transfer to absolutely smoothly from our life. One can simply ascend to the next level, which is eternal, perfect, and infinite. This will be gradually revealed to people and then they will make necessary changes to adapt to the new level of existence.

Question: What do you think, who will be the first to reveal it: the leaders or the rest of people?

Answer: I think that leaders will not reveal this because they, in fact, are very narrow-minded people. They are tech savvy. They are only interested in how to create machines that will be subordinated to them.

People who report to them are those who suffer and they will begin to feel everything. It is impossible to crush this feeling! This is nature! And it does not matter how much you feed it drugs and use other means to calm it down or put it to sleep, it will not help.

As a result, a very interesting inner revolution will take place in people, and from this point they will come to the next level.

Humanity And Drugs

laitman_961,2Question: Humanity has invented different ways of escaping from bad states—using drugs for example. What will happen in 2018 with the use of drugs?

Answer: Next year drug use will surely increase. And a large quantity of opiates, which will put humanity to sleep, will spread across the planet.

But what can be done? People will be laid off; they will remain jobless and without significant benefits. By using drugs to numb themselves, they will slowly put themselves to death.

Today, we already see that the human population essentially is not increasing. If it were not for the population of Africa and to some extent Oceania, the human population would have stopped growing long ago.

But the spread of drug use is not a solution. As Baal HaSulam wrote, the planet can feed dozens of times more people, even one hundred billion. And on Earth, there is enough room for everyone. Everything depends only on our relationship to each other.

Remark: You have said more than once that a higher power will not allow humanity to numb itself with drugs. It is impossible for the process of correction to stop. One way or another, the correction will proceed.

My Comment: Of course, the program will continue to be implemented. The problem is in how it will happen, what tortures will humanity have to go through in order to realize that they can’t do this?

Today, a great number of people use drugs. Imagine how difficult it will be for them to stop using them, to gradually rid themselves of this habit, and to begin to embrace the methodology of integral interaction. People need to start realizing that we all really depend on each other and we cannot escape this.

I should not indulge my stupid egoism that keeps pushing me incessantly: do this, don’t do that, don’t take others into consideration. I must get used to taking everybody into consideration as part of the same mechanism I work within and am completely dependent on. It is a very complex system of interaction between us. Therefore, a person should not only be trained, but also gradually become familiar with this methodology.

2017: Year-End Summary

laitman_229Question: 2017 has come to an end. 2018 begins. Could you tell us what the new year will bring?

Answer: I think that over the last year, in principle, we made a giant leap forward. We have reached the start of the first general spiritual state called “conception” in the spiritual world. This is a very high degree, difficult and heavy, like anything new.

I am very happy that we have passed this degree and have begun looking at our development through the group through spiritual concepts in a completely new way, effectively, deeply, in spiritual understanding.

This is the most important thing that has taken place in the world. Everything else is “child’s play.”

The next year is expected to be a difficult one for the world. Oil prices will fall, Google and Facebook will become less popular. All the Internet systems intended for free use and connection between people will be unmasked as being absolutely egoistic, manipulated by people, governments, nations, and societies.

We are currently at a stage where all of this will gradually be revealed. Therefore, I think that humanity will start figuring out how harmful all of these systems are for it.

Nothing good is to be expected on the international front either: humanity will not come to its senses and will not get better. But we, those who have a slight understanding of where all of this is going, need to explain to others that everything depends only on people’s upbringing and education so they will understand that the main law of nature is the universal global connection between us, and not only in our world, but between all the worlds.

And the more we violate that connection, the worse we will feel as a result. Let’s curb our egoism and not allow it to keep pushing us to commit further destruction, separation, and animosity against one another.

We Are Afraid Of War

laitman_766.3Remark: According to many interviews and published articles, the world is at the brink of a looming world war…

My Comment: North Korea claims that the end of the world will begin with it: if something happens to us, then bear in mind, the same will happen to the world.

Of course they have little strength for this, but they do have the desire.

Korea’s leader Kim Jong-Il is an intelligent person. He understands that he has many military leaders behind him, and the military industrial complex of North Korea, incidentally, is not bad.

I think that he needs this only in order to bring attention to himself, to his persona, to his nation, to his country. And he is doing it well. We must admit that the way all Western media write about him, it would cost so many millions of dollars to get them to print anything about him at all! And so, he shoots one rocket that flies over Saudi Arabia and what a resounding around the world!

So, I consider him a very good PR man.

Question: What is the purpose, according to the upper plan, of such points in the world as North Korea?

Answer: To pull strings.

It is very simple. The Creator needs to pull the strings of humanity’s egoism, strike a blow to our arrogance, so that no one raises his nose above his head. It needs to be shown to us, demonstrated to us, what we really are.

Look how completely out of control the mass media is today—what they are doing with the world, how they distort everything. They have the gall to take it upon themselves to define what is good, what is bad, and to shape the opinions and the consciousness of society.

Question: And what is the upper goal in all this?

Answer: So that in the end, when all this escalates beyond all boundaries and even to complete irrationality and meaninglessness, then the entire worthlessness of humanity’s consciousness, nature, and arrogance will be revealed.

Mass media!—What a name! But in the end, it will devour itself. And as a result humanity will profit; it will finally realize that, in itself, it can produce only falsehood.

Through this process people will acquire very powerful means for the correct kind of progress.

Question: In other words, I begin to realize that everything is a complete lie: that which I say, that which everyone else says; what’s going to happen to me then?

Answer: The realization that the entire world is compromised. We simply don’t know how to exist, what to do next. In other words, awareness of evil will be realized in full.

Question: And you call this point “good”?

Answer: Of course. From the realization of evil one can begin to build the good.

The Bitcoin Phenomenon

The day will come when, by virtue of a new quality of interconnection between us, a new “currency” will emerge.

Below is a seven-year graph showing the Bitcoin-USD exchange rate, with an unprecedented rise in 2017 (Buy Bitcoin Worldwide).

Impressive, isn’t it?

Obviously, I am not a market analyst or expert on cryptocurrencies. However, Bitcoin is certainly not just a financial phenomenon. It is founded upon the attempt to create a completely new type of universal value.

It would seem that there is nothing backing the “virtual currency” except cryptographic algorithms. However, that is no laughing matter. After all, cryptography is intended to provide reliability and trust, which is already valuable in itself. It is as if the creators of the new coin are declaring: human nature with its “baggage” has no access to our territory.

The modern financial system cannot boast of having this feature; there, money is produced by banks and is a factor of the political and economic influences of specific countries and organizations. In other words, the “old” money serves very specific interests.

On the other hand, right before our eyes, a new, extra-governmental, extra-historical currency is being born, setting claim to becoming a universal, absolute equivalent, and even to driving gold out of its immovable position.

It is being born because the need for it is ripe. After all, globalization, which many people criticize, really is a natural phenomenon. It reflects the current state of humanity, which has already gathered into one whole technologically, but has not yet accepted this fact psychologically.

That is why we don’t yet understand how to use the cryptocurrency, how to integrate it into the system, and how it will later influence us, the ones who created it. However, that does not change its essence: the global world is demanding a global monetary equivalent that does not depend on local, subjective “circumstances” and interests.

On the other hand, if we treat this novelty like in the olden times, with traditional means, it will lose its “charm”—its objective value as seen by the public. Yes, in the beginning of the road, Bitcoin became a convenient means for deals on the black market, which found a way in here, yet the completely legal “financial mafia” will put an end to it and will find a way to secure a grip on the new coin.

Will the illegal players be able to preserve the freedom of the cryptocurrency? One way or another, its future depends on that. There are chances for that to happen since governments and banks are also connected to the “financial mafia.”

However, if we rise above the current fuss surrounding Bitcoin, we will see how egoism on a global scale is gradually building the respective global systems for itself, and in a way that does not attach artificial ideals and ideologies to them.

There is no “good” or “evil” here, but only business in the pure form. And what difference does it make if the reciprocal trust of the parties is provided by virtual computer computations? On the contrary, that makes it even better; there will be fewer errors in the calculations.

It turns out that we are talking about global trends and, for the most part, it makes no sense to resist them.

Moreover, in the future we will develop additional universal parameters, but ones of a social nature. The day will come when, by virtue of a new quality of interconnection between us, a new “currency” will emerge—social rating, expressed by a clear equivalent that anyone can understand.

People will be able to accumulate it as well, but not sell or buy it. It is more likely to have a comparative nature while having completely real value.

After all, society, especially one that is global, cannot be based on just bare egoism alone. Of course, it is rational in its own way, but when left to its own devices, it leads to a dead-end. The social aspect in man and society must take the upper hand over self-focus so the whole will not fall apart into pieces.

These are the paradigms of a new time, whose essence is not a single currency, but new relationships between people in a united, modern world.
