Question: Israeli film director Udi Alon received the Panorama Audience Award at the Berlin International Film Festival. When he was asked to speak, he immediately criticized Israel, calling it a fascist state, and called on Germany to stop the military aid it provides Israel.

In an interview to channel 10, he said, “I love my state, but I don’t like the government. It is fascist.” The problem is that Aloni’s film was fully subsidized by the state he calls fascist.

Answer: Our state is an expert in stabbing a knife into its own back. If only we could actually see that we have a partner in the form of the Arab people who live with us in one country and on the same land, if we could see them as wanting to reach an agreement, it would be a totally different matter.

I am in favor of the idea that everyone should live wherever they want. I am not in favor of any borders and am against limitations, but not the way it is happening today in Europe where they let the refugees in and turn everything upside down. It all depends on whom you are dealing with and the plans that your enemy has.

I can understand Udi Alon’s views. I don’t identify with him, but I understand that he sees only one side of what is going on. These are developmental problems. We will need to raise ourselves until those in the right wing move a bit to the left and those in the left wing move a bit to the right, and together we will reach the middle line.

This is what nature requires and what the wisdom of Kabbalah teaches us. When we reach the middle line, we will be able to simultaneously place ourselves and all of our political, economic, and other rivals properly. We will actually balance fascism, communism, socialism, and everything there is.

Question: How will people on the right and the left wings connect?

Answer: They will connect above their egoism, and only the wisdom of Kabbalah can do that. Therefore, I don’t pay attention to what others say. To me, they are all in the midst of the process of development. We know that when a child develops, he moves from side to side, and there is nothing we can do about it. These are developmental problems, and we should wait until everything is balanced.

The world is undergoing the last phases of evolution now. The current crisis will bring it to an end and destroy it. It will shake the world in a way that everyone will see that they should follow the middle line; they should sit at a round table. No one is right, and no one is to blame. It is our nature that has been intentionally imprinted in us that way so that we would rise above it to the next level and acquire the solution to our problems there.

We need to be patient in teaching people how to connect above the ego. Let’s hope that we will be able to acquire a platform from which people gradually will hear us. On the one hand, this platform will help them, and on the other hand, the blows that they undergo in life will push them forward.

Answer: The soul is a “cloud” that is found in everyone, without exception.

Question: In what way is imagination different from attaining the soul?

Answer: Imagination is not based on anything, whereas attaining the soul, as we learn in Talmud Eser Sefirot, is done through a Masach (Screen) and Ohr Hozer (Returning Light), a clear understanding of which Lights become received, in which desires, and so forth.

Question: What is the revival of the dead, and will all souls be revived?

Answer: Yes, all souls will revive and merge to be discovered as one single soul called Adam.

Question: In spirituality, is it possible for a man and woman to become a perfect couple?

Answer: We are approaching this. The Kli and the Light become similar and complement each other.

Question: Are men and women allowed to share different states of ascent, descent, and thoughts with each other if they want to advance in spirituality together?

Answer: This is only for a husband and wife, not for the rest.

Question: There are members of different groups in the world who unite in order to help others. These organizations want to help children or to contribute in order to ease people’s suffering. In what way is your unity different from what we commonly see?

Answer: There are indeed many organizations in the world that unite for the sake of others, but I don’t see any positive outcomes from their actions. No matter how much food and water they supply or whether they make sure that people have clothes to wear, there are still so many hungry people in the world and so much suffering that only increases from day to day. We see that such actions are not a method of correcting the world.

The wisdom of Kabbalah offers a method of organizing the situation in the world through its system of leadership. Instead of performing some minor actions that may benefit people, we need to perform radical changes through the upper leadership, thus bringing humanity abundance, power, food, and health—everything. This is possible. We only need to learn how it is done and implement it together.

People who give away everything today, who seemingly love others and are ready to reach the end of the world in order to help mankind, need to start engaging in establishing the right mutual connection with others. Then, the good force will appear in the world and help us all.

Question: Can someone develop supernatural powers through practicing the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: I am going to disappoint you. There are no supernatural abilities, not even with me. I couldn’t perform any kinds of tricks even if I really wanted to do that because the wisdom of Kabbalah doesn’t provide this.

If special feelings develop in a person through his spiritual attainments, he still will not use them in any way, ever. This is because what he gets, he gets from the Creator, and he must respond only through his screen.

Question: Is it really impossible to see the future or win the lottery?

Answer: The wisdom of Kabbalah is a real lesson that doesn’t make it possible for a person to do something for his own benefit, but only for the sake of others.

Question: But does discovery of the Creator supplement the rest of the pleasures of our world?

Answer: No, it is directed only toward giving contentment to the Creator. If you rise to this level and that gives you pleasure, enjoy it.

Question: So, how does it attract and entice a person?

Answer: It is without anything. If a person has an inclination for it, then it doesn’t matter to him what he will get or not get from it. The reward of truth is the highest reward in the world.

If we knew from the previous New Year that this would be our year, would we have accepted it?

But it doesn’t depend on us, for “Against your will you live” (Pirkei Avot 4:22). In addition, we don’t know what will happen in another moment. Toward what are we developing? We are living within a general program that acts on us at each and every moment. The wisdom of Kabbalah investigates this program, the forces above our universe.

Throughout our lives we develop unconsciously. Negative forces push us forward. The goal that nature has prepared for us is our unlimited development, and this requires a transformation of characteristics.

Our general characteristic is a desire to receive for ourselves; we run after all kinds of things and exhaust ourselves. In fact we are now living in hell, and paradise, another world, is really close to here. To enter into the second world, it is up to us to learn to open our heart to others and connect with them.

The final objective of development that nature has defined for humanity is the acquisition of a new characteristic, a desire to bestow. Nothing will be changed for the future human except relationships with others. He will feel that what is outside of him is as he is. The future human will develop through internal technology. He will learn how to accept the higher state. There is a psychological hurdle that one must go through to feel the new world. Israel is the place where the future human will begin to develop.

Question: If everything stems from the Creator, how do Kabbalists find the strength to justify Him as the good that does good?

Answer: As long as we are in our egoism we cannot justify the Creator as the good that does good. If a person earns something egoistically and receives a certain filling, he feels good, but if he scrutinizes things correctly and sees that it is harmful, he is not able to bless the Creator and to thank Him anymore. Even when a person receives blows instead of pleasure, he cannot thank the Creator.

But if a person feels such blows as orders, as a decree to get closer to the Creator, he appreciates them in a totally different manner and reaches a state in which he thanks the Creator for them, which means that he seems to kiss the stick the Creator hits him with. It all depends on the awareness of the goal.

In other words, as long as a person identifies with his egoism, he feels the blows on himself, but the moment he ceases to feel his ego, he ceases to notice the blows he receives because he relates to his ego like to an animal by his side.

I am the human being and the animal is beside me, and it feels the blows while I don’t. We have to reach this state where I am separate from this animal, from the ego, and then the human being in me will be happy while the animal will suffer since this is what it was created for as Baal HaSulam says. A person is even happy when his animal suffers since it is actually thanks to the suffering of the ego that he ascends above it.

Question: The Torah attributes stars to different astrological signs. Does the Creator manage people’s souls by the stars? What is the relationship between the soul and the stars?

Answer: There is nothing special about the stars. It is simply an allegory and that’s all. There is no power in the stars and it makes no difference whether a certain star is destroyed or remains. These are simple inanimate systems that have no effect on anything that is spiritual and upper.

Astrology first appeared a long time ago because people wanted to know where they are, how they should behave, how to measure time, and what to do.

In ancient Babylon astrologers could tell a person’s character and what will happen to him according to the stars. In those times people were much more sensitive and closer to nature and could say a lot about a person according to different signs. But this isn’t the system of the upper management. This is the system of our corporeal existence that could make life safer and more comfortable.

Today it is quite meaningless since we have lost our sensitivity to nature and there are no sages like the ones who lived in the past; they couldn’t help us anyway today. We are so negative in our thoughts and desires and so polluted by different chemicals that nothing can help us.

Comment: But people are still interested in the predictions of the Bulgarian Baba Venga and others.

Answer: This is only natural, but it isn’t the wisdom of Kabbalah and they cannot teach us anything correctly either. They can only accurately predict something in advance, but they cannot change anything.

Question: Humanity must undergo a sufficient amount of afflictions for the spiritual awakening and revival to begin. Does this mean that the worse things become, the sooner people will be ready for spiritual awakening and revival?

Answer: Why should we wait for the external revelation of evil? Let’s look inside ourselves and discover so much evil there that it will be enough to ascend, so we need not wait for ill-fate.

Question: Does this mean that the moment we discover our own evil, we will want to escape it?

Answer: Of course, a child, for example, can wait until he is punished and only then begin to do his homework. But he may realize that it is better to do his homework right away so that he will not be punished and then he will be free to run off to play.
