How To Stop A War?

962.3Kabbalist does not ask the Creator to correct even the most terrible situation, he only asks for the strength to justify it.

We do not need to correct anything besides our attitude toward the world, and then we will see the world corrected. Let us say you want to stop a war, then you need to understand that you can stop it only if it gets stopped inside you.

Question: So, I do not ask for this war to end in the outside world. Do I ask for it to be stopped in my inner world?

Answer: Yes, this is exactly what the correction will be. If all people begin to think so, it will already be good.

Comment: But this is unnatural. A person wants the war to end first.

My Response: So, do this with yourself. This is the shortest way.

Question: Does It happen that on the material level there is still fear for the corporeal body, for the family?

Answer: Yes, you must still act on the material level, but at the same time understand that the most important thing is the action on the emotional, spiritual, and upper level. There you can balance all your qualities.

Question: When there is a war which side is the Kabbalist on?

Answer: He wishes to end the war by uniting opposing forces in the middle line.

Striving For The Creator

630.1Question: You say that the highest destiny of a person is to acquire the quality of bestowal, the quality of the Creator. Is not this striving considered to be idolatry?

Answer: No, because I strive to put the Creator above myself and direct myself to Him all the time, to define Him more and more accurately. At the same time, I must constantly improve my qualities until I bring myself into full equivalence of form with the Creator, meaning to merge with Him.

Idolatry—Belief In The Power Of Man

962.1Question: What is idolatry from your point of view?

Answer: Each person should determine that for himself.

Question: And how do you define it for yourself?

Answer: I believe that idolatry is the belief in the power of man. If a person relies only on himself and believes that there is no other force controlling the world, by this he raises himself to some kind of pedestal and considers himself infallible. This is clear idolatry.

Toward Attainment Of The Creator

507.05Comment: When one of the friends feels bad, we automatically want to support him and say, “Remember Who it comes from.” At the same time, we understand that we ourselves are not so sure that everything comes from the same source because we are not in spiritual attainment yet.

My Response: It does not matter. Our efforts should be such that we develop feelings in us that will lead to the attainment of the Creator. We need to develop sensory organs, and then we will attain Him.

The problem is that we do not have the sensory organs for feeling the Creator, because we are not in the mode of bestowal, but are only in the mode of reception. We need to switch to the mode of bestowal, and then to this extent we will begin to feel Him.

The Embrace Of The Creator

938.02The Creator pushes us away with a strong hand in order for us to connect even more. And then we will feel His strong hand as a strong embrace.

If we do not push each other away, then we see that the Creator does not push us away either. And if we embrace each other, we will feel that the Creator also embraces us.

It is as if sharp thorns on us do not let us hug each other. But we understand that these thorns belong to the Creator and not to a friend. And if in an effort to embrace my friends I feel sharp thorns and rejection, then these are my thorns, my hatred and not theirs, no matter how much it seems to me that the friends are to blame.

Therefore, we embrace in spite of everything with faith above reason: first through force and then willingly. And then all thorns do not just disappear, but turn into the glue of our indissoluble connection.

The Difference Between Idolatry And Worship

281.02Question: What is the difference between idolatry and worship? Respect?

Answer: The worship of someone or something always exists in our world and determines the difference between the degrees we place people on. We define gradations as better, worse, more beautiful, stronger, and so on.

Idolatry is a completely different attitude to various phenomena of nature when I attribute some special qualities to them.

Moreover, I endow them with my own or contrived qualities because it’s better and more convenient for me. In this way I build myself a more connected picture of the world around me.

A Border Without Border Guards

527.03To enter the spiritual world, only one desire is needed: to connect with everyone who wants to get out of the feeling of this egoistic world into the feeling of the spiritual world in order to see the entire universe from edge to edge, to understand this reality, and to be able to work with it.

The border between the material and the spiritual world is within us. It is a psychological barrier, not a wall or a closed gate. At this border, they do not check your passport and ask for how long you have come to stay. If a person can approach the border to the spiritual world, then to the extent of the equivalence of one’s qualities to it, the border automatically opens, and he passes.

Everything depends only on the correction of our qualities. Therefore, we are working in a group on our qualities in order to get closer to each other. To the extent of our getting closer, we also get closer to the border with the spiritual world. And as soon as we manage to reach the first connection, we will cross the border.

What Information Does The Creator Transmit To A Person?

509Question: What information can be deemed as objective so that it can be trusted? Is there any such information at all?

Answer: It is outside of a person and within the image that a person discovers in the Creator. There one begins to live, so to say, according to concepts.

Question: And what information does the Creator carry?

Answer: The Creator brings to man the understanding of man.

Question: So a person starts to understand who he is?

Answer: Yes. We cannot and do not attain the Creator Himself. We attain everything within ourselves in some of our feelings regarding each other.

Question: So it turns out that all this truth and correct information is incomprehensible in our egoistic and earthly conditions?

Answer: Certainly not.

Question: Do you mean we have to break away from egoism nevertheless?

Answer: When you break away, you begin to understand that this truth is also not yet attainable.

Question: Where is it then?

Answer: It doesn’t exist. Really, it doesn’t. We still can’t escape from ourselves in any way. We attain the Creator only to the extent of equivalence to Him in the heart, in  feelings, and in the mind, which help us somehow complete the image that we always want to see and draw in ourselves.

Question: Which is the image of Him as loving, kind, and doing good?

Answer: Yes but these are still limited things. Everything is relative to a person and we can’t escape from ourselves anywhere. No matter how we imagine all this, the real truth is unattainable.

There are still degrees, worlds, and elevations that still need to be attained, they are imaginary, transcendent, and negative, which we will have to reveal.

Question: In principle, is it  good for a person that there are all these worlds and secrets before him?

Answer: It’s so exciting as we move forward! The Creator Himself is already there without any connection with us. And at the point when you feel that it’s Him there but without me, it suddenly gives you such strength and perseverance to achieve since it shows us that it is probably surmountable.

Question: Is that what you call life?

Answer: Of course!

The Path That Turns An Egoist Into An Altruist

608.02Today there are many different methods. But why doesn’t any of them evoke such internal resistance as Kabbalah does? Because it is the truth and it must be revealed.

Kabbalah acts against the ego. It says that our problem is egoism that needs to be corrected by rising above it. We must not just love each other, not just treat each other well, not change something in nature or in ourselves or somewhere else; it is also necessary to recognize the highest level of nature, which is called the Creator and to reveal Him for oneself, to take Him as a role model, and shape yourself into His likeness.

It means making something completely opposite out of yourself and leaving your interests to start doing everything for the sake of others, to turn yourself into their servant, as it were, when you begin to love everyone and to treat them with absolute care.

Their desires become your desires; their worries become yours, and for you this is the only thing that exists in life. For what purpose? In order to rise to the level of the Creator.

Here we see a lot of hurdles in front of us. The very first hurdle is to reveal the Creator. If I do that, it will be easy for me. Then I will gladly give myself to others because my reward will be eternity, wholeness, and absolute happiness.

Question: But, will I continue to act out of egoistic motives?

Answer: No. Along the way your likeness to the Creator will change you because He gives without any egoistic actions. You will start out as an egoist, but gradually, while working to bestow on others in order to reach the Creator, you will suddenly discover the quality of completeness within bestowal itself and discover that bestowal and love in themselves bring you such fulfillment that it is worth it to engage in them.

The Desire To Go Through The Wall

527.03A negative force should be perceived as a necessary element for the right direction toward the goal. In this goal, positive and negative forces come together, and thanks to their connection, the goal becomes visible to us.

In the material world, we first see the target and then we must try to aim at it. But in spirituality, it is completely different: If I aim correctly at the target, then I see that it is in front of me.

In spirituality, we always first find ourselves in front of a wall, and only if we find a solution will we see that there is a door in the wall. And the solution is not to find out what hinders or helps us, but to be able to gather all prerequisites so that they complement each other and there is nothing superfluous.

Therefore, every decision is an achievement of perfection. And in perfection there are no good or bad components, there are no negative or positive ones, but everything complements each other.

In the material world, you can see a closed door, but in the spiritual world, the door is visible only if it is open. An open door can only be seen through the eyes of perfect faith. The moment we reach perfect faith, a passage opens.

If there is a blank wall in front of me where no door is visible, but I really want the passage to open, then it will open.

In the material world, we first see a closed door and only then try to open it. But there are no closed doors in spirituality: either the door is open, or there is only a blank wall. And when I reach perfect faith, I instantly see the open door.

Perfect faith means that nothing separates me from what is on the other side of the wall. If I achieve such qualities in myself, then the separating barrier disappears.
