The Wall We Need to Break

528.02Comment: Let’s say we are doing a project together, and if there are mistakes, we sit down and discuss them. At first, everyone thinks they are right. Then, if a person nevertheless tries to hear another, analysis ensues.

The next time we start to do something, the same situation arises again. You look at this situation: “But you did this analysis yourself! How can you re-enter this state again?” And it happens this way all the time.

My Response: No, not all the time. These are new Reshimot, new informational data, a new time! A person has changed, and even pictures from the past look new.

Comment: When we work together we become closer to each other, a certain importance arises, but when I need to take the next step, there is a wall that I constantly have to break.

My Response: But at the same time, there is an understanding that it was specially created between you so that you could overcome it precisely by yearning for each other.

Comment: This is a very interesting learning process.

My Response: There is still a lot to come, a lot of all sorts of pleasant surprises.

Optimal Connections

571.03Question: What are optimal connections and the optimal state between people?

Answer: The optimal state is when a person reaches a benevolent attitude toward another person. Not because today they are beneficial to each other and tomorrow they are not or someone outbids someone, but because my nature must become completely good.

Why? What is my benefit? Well, if you pay me, I understand that. If I benefit from this, I understand. But just to be kind to each other so that this relationship would be eternal and I would not be able to spoil it, how can I achieve this?

This requires the next degree because if I treat you well, I will reach a higher degree, adhesion with the upper force, attainment of eternity and perfection. In this case, you become a means on my path to reach my perfection and eternity. In this case, I am ready for this, I value this.

In principle, this approach is also egoistic at first, Lo Lishma (for one’s own sake), and then it turns into an absolutely altruistic quality. When I begin to realize what my attitude toward others is correct, pure, eternal, and real, which in itself carries a great upper force, then I am already completely protected from my egoism and I will never become your enemy.

Raise the Environment in Your Eyes

947Question: After  performing some joint tasks, it seems like it is even more difficult to mutually overcome subsequent tasks.

Suppose we agree to shoot a video. We are on this mission together, and it is kind of a little unification process. But after that, it is much harder to gather the same people again. If you want to gather them for the third time, it is even harder! And the fourth time, it is completely unrealistic! Those who can overcome do it, and those who cannot don’t.

Is this the difficulty of connection? Moreover, a person understands in his mind what is needed, but he cannot do anything with himself.

Answer: Of course, he cannot until a real need arises and the goal set is above his current state. Everything is built on pure arithmetic: this is more, and this is less. I always take what is bigger, as my egoism is never wrong.

But I can vary more or less; I can imagine that this is more important than that according to the values of the environment. This means that I must always choose such an environment that will point out to me the greater weight of what advances us toward spirituality although it is against my egoism.

If the environment in my eyes is more important than my egoism—and it can develop and show itself in this way, using my pride, my desire for power, for fame, and so on—then I can move forward.

A person receives a practical method of working with his properties. And if he works with these properties correctly, he has no problem moving forward by using them.

The Monkey Syndrome

938.02Comment: As a child, when my parents and I watched a humorous program on TV and they laughed, I automatically laughed with them in order to participate in this game.

My Response: Of course to be like the adults, as if you also understand.

Question: Yes, I saw how they reacted and also laughed like them. After some time I began to understand this humor because when you play this game, whether you wanted it or not, you suddenly turn on and understand what it is about.

In our spiritual work there is also a level of “monkey.” What is the correct mechanism for this game? After all, a little person is still ignorant and an adult already has a lot infesting him.

Answer: An adult is ashamed and uncomfortable; he does not know how to behave; he alienates himself and hides behind some stunts, behind rudeness, only in order to save his completely stupid pride. What does it give? But that is what nature makes us do.

If we imagine ourselves as little children again, then we are ready to play. In the group you can play and be a little kid no matter what. Friends understand both you and themselves and give each other such an opportunity. Therefore egoism is not afraid to act like a little child. So what if we run, dance, clap our hands, etc.?

We do all this because we agreed to do that, because we understood that we should not be shy, but on the contrary, we must communicate with each other directly, like children. We have to get to that level.

Our egoism can allow us to do this because in the group we are among our own kind. In this case, we can show each other how open we can be, we can help and be included in each other. This leads us to mutual love. You suddenly discover such a commonality, such a force that is never manifested anywhere else!

Translating Words To Feelings

From the Level of Psychology to Kabbalah

214Question: You say that there is nothing stronger than a thought connected with a desire. What do thought and desire mean separately?

Answer: This happens only with respect to us. We are constantly talking to each other on a level called psychology.

It does not give us the opportunity to clearly explore our desires as forces with information records that can be divided into ten Sefirot (emanations). We do not study them in three lines: in receiving, bestowing, and in the middle line between them, in balance as on a scale. All this is impossible to study at the level of psychology.

But from it, we slowly rise to the level that Kabbalah speaks of, to the level where these forces are weighed and their vector orientation of interaction with each other is correctly evaluated. From these forces, we can create an entire vector field, check it, analyze it, change it, and thus control ourselves and the rest of the world.

This is what Kabbalah allows us, but only in the right direction and by no means forcing others to do so, since you are entering a realm where you have clear limitations. As soon as you cross a certain threshold and you suddenly have the opportunity to do something wrong, everything immediately disappears.

In the spiritual world, there is a safeguard; it is impossible to harm the world more than on our small, insignificant, earthly level.

A Theater that Evokes Upper Light

938.05Question: You constantly say that the Creator talks to a person all the time and that everything that happens around us is a theater. If this is a theater, then how do you play your role correctly?

Answer: In spiritual work, you play with yourself against your ego. You have to play the next level as if you do not have egoism in you, as if it has already been corrected.

The best thing is not to resist what is in you—listen to good advice. Instead of fighting at the lower level, raise yourself to a higher level, and it becomes easy and good for you. You play this state together with your friends.

Indeed, this is a theater! The theater causes a surge of the higher force on you because you are trying to reveal it within yourself. It exists around you in nature; it is a universal field of information and energy.

You do not have to fight with yourself. You just have to rise above yourself all the time! Do not pay attention to your egoism, do not live in it, and do not engage in beating yourself up, that I am such and such. Break away from the ego as if you are already above it. It will become easy for you. And it is very difficult to be in it.

This technique is very simple. The one who remembers it allows himself to save time and energy.

A Beautiful Jewish Parable

222Comment: A beautiful Jewish parable goes like this: The rich inhabitants of a town hired a man to guard their possessions at night and their big wealthy homes. Late one night, a sage met the watchman and asked him: “Who do you work for?” The watchman answered him and, in turn, asked the sage: “Who do you work for?” These words pierced the sage’s heart. He answered sadly: “It turns out, I don’t work for anyone.” They walked for a long while and talked. The wise man asked the watchman: “Will you come work for me? I’m ready to pay you whatever you ask.” “With pleasure! But what will I have to do?” the watchman asked. “Keep reminding me,” said the sage.

My Response: Yes, that’s true.

Question: So even a wise man demands to be reminded that there is someone he works for?

Answer: Of course. This is the reason he is considered wise; he seems to have everything except the most important thing: he does not have good connections with everyone else.

Comment: But he still asks: “Who do you work for?” So it is not that he forgets, but that he needs to always remember that he works for the Creator.

Answer: Yes.

Question: The sage said: “I’ll pay whatever you ask.” Can you in fact pay to be constantly reminded?

Answer: This is the most important thing. After all, this is the only way you earn, if I may say so, your real wealth.

Question: If you don’t lose the connection?

Answer: Yes. If you constantly increase your connection with the Creator, you invest in it.

Question: Is it possible to stay connected all the time and not to lose it? Or should there still be these ups and downs, interruptions, ins and outs?

Answer: There must be ins and outs all the time. There must be disconnections, because otherwise there will be no renewal of the connection between a person and the Creator through other people. And that is why we are in such a constant stop-and-go movement.

Question: Is that why it is written, “And there was evening, and there was morning”? So the “evening” is my loss of connection with the upper?

Answer: Yes, which specifically comes from above. This is called “awakening from above.” And below, there should be a drive from below, which would push a person to a prayer, to form a request, and so on.

Comment: According to this parable, awakening from below can only happen from some connection with the watchman, with another person who reminds me.

My Response: That is why it says so in the parable, that he reminds.

Question: So can I not do it myself all the time?

Answer: No way.

Comment: After all, he is a righteous man, a wise man, a tzaddik…

My Response: That is why he is a righteous man, a wise man, and a tzaddik, because he knows himself, his state, and how to remain at this level.

Question: Only if he is reminded of this?

Answer: Yes. While somebody else, on the contrary, would say that everything is fine, he is in full connection with the Creator, and all is well.

Question: Can we call one who says so a sinner?

Answer: Yes. Because the righteous is the one who justifies the Creator for the fact that He created our world not so perfect, but left a place for man to improve. While the sinner may consider the world to be absolutely perfect. It is the opposite. Humanity thinks quite differently.

Question: So the sinner is the one who says: “Everything is created perfectly, everything is in full connection,” and so on. Is such a person a sinner?

Answer: Yes. While the righteous man says: “Everything has been created perfectly because there is work left for me. And in this way, I can raise this world.”

The War on Pride

538Comment: You said that pride is the best quality of a person.

My Response: Of course! After all, it is specially created so that a person can see how different he is from the Creator.

Due to the fact that he is at war with pride, he gets closer to the Creator. Every time he uses it the other way around, i.e., belittling himself, not helping his egoism, but reducing it and putting pressure on it, he thus rises above the ego.

Imagine that there is one point in a person and this is his embryo. Pride begins to grow under this point and raises it all the time. If a person can annul pride, then he rises, absorbs it into himself, and grows. If he cannot include this pride in himself, that is, to act with it exactly the opposite, to bestow, then it becomes lower and worse.

This is a very serious period in our life! It takes many years for a person to realize this. This is the most difficult period! Then it gets easier and easier.

Of course, there will also be difficult conditions in the future, but they are understandable and easily processed by the soul, heart, and mind.

In the first stages you become simply untenable and do not know where you are going, where to go, and what to do; you are knocked out of these states and you do not hear anything.

But then, no matter what the states are, you control yourself and understand why they are created in you.

How Can You Adhere to the Mind and Heart of the Teacher?

165Question: How should a student behave correctly in order to attach himself to the state you are in?

Answer: It is not easy, I know from my own experience.

The student must try to use the heart and mind of the teacher, to glue to them as if there were none of his own.

When you try to do this, you receive a huge mind and a huge heart opposite to the teacher, and you start to act. Your mind and heart are on the left side, the teachers’ are on the right side. In the middle between them you are trying to create something that connects both of these objects. It is not simple.

There are few such people in our world and there are few among our students. There should not be many of them, but in general, they exist. They try to do it, and that means a lot. The main thing is to try! If there are many such people, they will cover quality by quantity.

Question: How can one adhere to the mind and heart of a teacher?

Answer: Just through the request to the same upper force that binds us together to help you annul before the teacher. Then he would be able to raise you like a little child. Otherwise, your egoism lifts you higher, you feel higher than the teacher, more knowledgeable, understanding, and strong, and as a result, you cannot receive anything from him.

Question: But how can a student analyze whether he is integrated in the teacher correctly?

Answer: You must begin to feel it; otherwise, you will not be able to understand.

Question: Could this be a false sensation?

Answer: It does not matter. Attempts will lead to a correct result.

An Ordinary Miracle

294.3Miracles do not exist! All miracles are the result of our inner pressure in the yearning to come closer to each other.

This is how we will rise up, see all the worlds, everything from top to bottom. The Creator will be revealed to us as a network that embraces everything and includes everything within it.

We will feel ourselves in a space that has no movement, no beginning, no end; it is in constant motion. All this will be normal, there will be nothing surprising about it. This is how we will exist.

But before the congress, we need to prepare ourselves for miracles because if we want to connect with each other, then our closeness with each other is already a miracle! After all, this is against the fundamental law of nature—the law of egoism.

Therefore, if we aim to rise above egoism, we will attract the influence of huge forces of nature that are above it, that is, the forces of upper nature.

I really hope that we will be lucky, that the Creator will guide us and help us, and that we will connect with each other by the force of bestowal, by the force of love. Then this war will end, and in general—everything in the world will calm down, and we will all become like one man with one heart.
