Pray For Strength

624.02Comment: You constantly ask your students to start writing articles, and tell us it will help us. Then I have a difficulty with having received directions from the teacher that I cannot fulfill. I have no desire to write.

My Response: This is natural. Because the teacher said so. If the teacher gives advice, it is a problem to fulfill it. Yet, precisely because of that, it is desirable to fulfill his advice.

Question: What if I do not have the strength?

Answer: Then you should pray to have strength.

Question: What is this feeling of great regret that there is an opportunity, and suddenly something fetters me?

Answer: If my egoism pushes me to do this, then I can. However, if this is not egoism, but, for example, a teacher, then I cannot. That’s where you can see who’s at work here.

Question: What do you recommend?

Answer: To cry out that I cannot do anything because I obey only my egoism.

Question: Is it true. Moreover, the more I study, the more I realize that everything I do comes from egoism. However, we should not despair, right?

Answer: What does despair have to do with it? This is our nature. There should be no despair, in any case. On the contrary, we should be happy that the truth is revealed.

There must always be an independent expert point, outside of the body when I look at myself from the outside.

The Call Of The Soul

544Question: You have hundreds of thousands of students all over the world, maybe even more. At some time everyone asks themselves the question: “Am I connected enough with the teacher? Am I missing something?” How can a person find out?

Answer: Only by oneself. The teacher will not help him with this.

Question: And what is primary: the need of the student or some kind of call that awakens in him by itself?

Answer: They are the same thing.

Question: Is it predetermined in advance who will study according to a general program and who according to a more precise one?

Answer: It depends on the soul of a person, but he can still lift himself. To do this, he needs the right society in accordance with which he could move forward.

From Line To Circle

939.02Question: Even before your teacher, there was a vertical teacher-student relationship and now it is spreading outward to the masses. Are these the same laws? What is changing? Or does the essence remain the same?

Answer: Before our time, everything really spread from top to bottom. But there were periods, mostly in ancient times, when it spread in breadth, in circles.

Question: Can we say that you are the first teacher who teaches the world in breadth?

My Response: Yes, it just so happened. This is how it happens.

Question: The law of the circle is completely different from the law of the line. Is it possible to be somewhere in distant orbits, but to be closer than in the closest orbits?

Answer: Yes. But this is a mutual dependence between the surrounding and the inner light. As, for example, a small child is closest to his mother, and the older he gets, the further away he gets, although he understands her more. But it is also a mutual dependence between light and egoism.

Science Of Perception Of The Surrounding Space

209Question: Which Kabbalistic book was the first to fall into your hands and reveal the yearning for spirituality in you?

Answer: The Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah, this is a very complex book.

I read many different books and articles. I tried to immediately delve into serious things, but was confused, and did not know how and what until I found my teacher. This happened after three to four years of independent study during which I went through various so-called Kabbalah experts.

However, when I found the teacher, I stayed with him for the rest of his life. I was his assistant, his personal disciple. And after him, I continued his activities.

Question: What is the first book you would recommend in order to start studying Kabbalah?

Answer: Kabbalah is a science. Therefore, it may be able to attract, but only to some extent. After all, a person must have some desire to discover the meaning of life.

If someone has it, he will understand that Kabbalah answers the question of how to reveal this meaning, how to change himself, to change his life, and what internal tools he has for this. They are within the person. In general, this is the science of cognition and understanding the surrounding space.

Then a person will begin to see this space in a more expanded form, actively, in interaction with everything around him. By changing his attitude to the environment, that is, by changing himself, he changes the reaction of the environment to him.

How Does A Student Find A Teacher?

165Question: How does a student find a teacher?

Answer: Probably just like you have found your friends, the group, me, and our Bnei Baruch organization.

You can ask in another way: How is a person managed so that he will find his teacher, through whom he can connect to a group, to the teacher and to the group, and thus, connect to the Creator? The upper light, the Creator, manages you, the group, and me this way.

There are no coincidences here. It is the Creator’s precise thought and it actually works this way in order to bring you to the group and to the Creator.

Love The Teacher

766.4Question: How are the teacher and his students defined in the spiritual system? How do they search for find each other? We all seemed to have some kind of call, an awakening.

Answer: It depends on our connection in the common soul, which manifests itself in this world.

The last time I was in England, I met with a Sufi spiritual teacher. He was a very old man, he never even got out of bed anymore. But all the time a young man, a native Englishman John, 30 to 35 years old was busying around him. He literally crawled in front of the teacher on his knees, helped him, looked after him.

I spoke with this Sufi, who is very famous in the Arab world, by the way. He himself is from Iran, but he left there in time because the Sufis were persecuted there.

I told him about my teacher, and that he had recently died. When I asked him if he could be my teacher, he answered very simply, “You know that you must love me.” A very direct answer. That is right, this is the way they choose. That is, if you begin to love the teacher for what you hear, for what you get from him, then you are a student, and he is a teacher, and if not, then not.

Question: For nothing else? After all, many people are looking for a kind of patron, some kind of father figure.

Answer: No, then this is not spirituality.

Comment: When one listens to your lessons, one is overwhelmed with great joy and delight, a feeling that fills, inspires, and comforts. Is this the right response? It cannot be ordered, it is either there or not.

My Response: This is correct. Everything depends on the opening of the soul in the student who hears what the teacher says, and his soul thus responds.

Question: What if the person does not respond, but still really wants to?

Answer: It means that he will respond soon.

Cleave To The Teacher

165Question: Can we cling to our friends when we work in the tens so much that we become infected with a reverent attitude toward the teacher from them? Or is it impossible?

Answer: It is possible. We can help each other on our spiritual path and move forward calmly. If a person who is in a descent bows before the group, then the group will show him how to start listening to the teacher. And then this student can receive the same thing as the rest.

Question: That is, it does not matter what you are as wise as you can be or if with a sensitive heart. If you are in the right mood, can you receive absolutely all conditions and stick to the teacher?

Answer: Yes. Mental development does not matter here.

Question: Suppose a person knows that he does not yet have any inner development, that he is lazy. But he really wants to achieve! Can he cling to the teacher with this desire and get everything?

Answer: Only through the group! The group is the connector to the teacher and through the teacher with the Creator. There are no other ways.

Question: This means that a person places himself in a group, and the group helps him  hear the teacher, cleave to him, and go to the Creator. It doesn’t matter who, what, and where you are now, even if you are a hermit. If you want to, you can?

Answer: We all came from one system, the ten, from a soul that was broken into many parts. Therefore, gathering in such tens, we again reveal the Creator and unite with Him.

Sacrifice Yourself To Achieve The Goal

294.2Question: What is the most valuable thing in a student?

Answer: To sacrifice himself to achieve the goal. That is all.

Comment: It is interesting that the word “sacrifice” in Russian is always shocking, but in Hebrew it is so natural because “Arava” comes from the word “approach,” “proximity.” Sacrificing yourself is actually the law of love.

My Response: Of course. Love is built on the sacrifice of one’s selfishness.

Question: And what does the teacher sacrifice for such a connection?

Answer: The teacher is initially at a level where he does not have to sacrifice anything. Everything that happens between him and the students is beyond sacrifice.

That is, a teacher who has risen to a certain level is primary. And then there are students who can get help from him.

How Do You Know Someone Is Your Student?

231.01Question: How do you recognize a student? How do you feel that this is your student?

Answer: First, anyone who wants to come to me, they can. Everyone is also connected to us through the Internet. And then there is natural selection.

Those who endure daily serious studies, with dozens of exercises, with  friends’ meetings, with attending congresses, then they are counted as my students.

Question: Does a certain internal charge take shape in a person if he is to go through this path?

Answer: The root of the soul.

Question: And you are absolutely calm about the people who could not fulfill all these conditions?

Answer: It is all a matter of time. If not in this life, then in the next.

Two Types Of Connection Between Teacher And Student

528.04Question: Hundreds of thousands of people have discovered the wisdom of Kabbalah. This became a revelation and great joy for them. But it turns out that it is not that simple. We need to find a teacher, not just find him, but establish a connection with him.

What does connection mean on the path with a guide, a teacher?

Answer: Today the teacher is not necessarily the one who is next to you. Once upon a time, there were places where students lived with their teachers. Now, this is not necessary since we can communicate very well through virtual connections.

Therefore, it is no longer necessary for the teacher and the student to be in direct contact with each other. But a connection with a teacher is needed in order to learn from him.

Question: How is this connection built? What is required from a student and possibly from a teacher?

Answer: The point is that there are different types of communication with the teacher. One of them is common, like at the university where you enter the classroom, sit down, attend lectures, then pass exams, and leave, practically without any contact with the teacher. You learn from your lecture notes, from what he gives you, but nothing more.

There is a clearer connection when the teacher directly influences the student, and he changes in accordance with this. Moreover, the teacher watches him, educates him individually, presenting him with rather serious requirements. But not everyone is ready to accept them.

Question: Does the willingness to accept these requirements depend on the person or on some preliminary factors?

Answer: Yes, there are preliminary factors, but they are not sufficient. In order to bring them to the state of being sufficient, the efforts of the student himself are needed.
