Question: What is this system called Israel, by means of which it is possible to solve all of our problems if we learn to work with it correctly?

Answer: In all of creation one unique force of bestowal and love is at work, besides which there is nothing. It is called the upper force, the Creator, because it created all of reality.

And likewise, this force is called Creator (Boreh) from the words, “come and see” (Bo ve Reh), because we need to discover it. The goal of creation is to discover the Creator, as it is written: “For they shall all know Me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them” (Jeremiah 31:33).

So that we can attain the goal as rapidly as possible, the upper force acts and influences us all the time and calls to us to discover Him. Approaching spirituality means to resemble the Creator. The Creator is good, and you  need to become good too. “Just like He is merciful and kind, so should you be merciful and kind” (Talmud Yerushalmi Peah 3:1).

It follows that we must keep improving ourselves, not do to another what is hateful to us, and  love the other like yourself, as it is written, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself” (Leviticus 19:18). And this is possible if we become like the higher force, the Upper Light.

 The Creator created the evil inclination by which we are separated from each other and do not want the spiritual world, development, or advancement. But if we reach the awareness that this desire is bad, then we can correct ourselves with the help of the Torah, meaning with the help of the Light that Reforms.

The Torah is the remedy for our evil inclination, for the ego. The Light can heal us and transform the ego into its opposite: a desire for bestowal and love. The power of bestowal is called the Creator, the good and benevolent, the Light. This Light influences us and when it illuminates more strongly, then we feel bad, since we feel the evil instead of the good because we have not adjusted to it.

The more strongly the Light approaches us, the more evil we feel ourselves to be. All of the bad feelings also come from the Light, from the Creator, about which it is written: “I will place over you a king like Haman who will return you to the good against your will” (Sanhedrin 97b).

By fleeing from evil, we approach the Light a bit. But this way is called the way of suffering, “in its time.” But we can begin to correct ourselves by our own initiative and create the good force, that is, build a group. A group is a collection of people who nullify their egos and begin to make themselves like the force of bestowal.

To the degree that we bring ourselves in accord with the Creator, we approach Him willingly. In such a way we advance, don’t remain His opposite, and don’t flee from the blows. Rather, we are attracted towards Him by our own efforts. We don’t wait to be pushed from behind by suffering that obliges us to run; rather, we hasten towards the Creator by ourselves, and we want Him. This is a positive movement.

Question: What does it mean to advance and move towards the Creator?

Answer: In nature there exists a simple law of adaptation by which objects approach each other according to the degree of their equivalence of form, equivalence of their characteristics. So if we develop the power of bestowal within us, we approach Him. And through getting nearer to Him, we come under His good influence and feel our development as good.

Question: How can a group of people create this power?

Answer: This power is discovered through the connection between us. This is a unique group comprised of ten people who give up their egos to attain a place of common connection. They leave their egos behind and want to unite in a new place. This is called becoming “like one person with one heart.” The common place in which they are all connected is called “one heart.” In this way they become like the Creator through their desire to bestow. For indeed, they want to bestow mutually to each other and reach bestowal to the Creator through this. It follows that they get closer to the Creator within their desire, He comes to meet them, and they meet at some point.

After this, they add another desire to bestow to themselves and meet with the Creator, becoming closer and closer to Him, until they reach full resemblance to and equivalence with Him. This is how Israel acts, which is someone who yearns for the Creator, Yashar-El” (directly to the Creator). On this path there are 125 spiritual levels or five upper worlds, which is the whole of our reality.

The beginning of this way in which we are now found is called, “this world” (Olam ha Zeh) and its final point is called the “end of correction” (Gmar Tikkun).

Question: How can the system of Israel solve the problems in the world?

Answer: It is very easy to attain a good and pleasant life in the upper world where there is no evil and our only concern is reaching our end of correction.

If you feel bad now, it is because you haven’t performed the right correction in time and haven’t advanced towards the goal according to plan, the determined schedule.

If you don’t advance, you summon negative forces upon yourself that push you forward by blows. Therefore, it is written that Pharaoh brought the children of Israel closer to the Creator.

Question: How can I leave my narrow personal perception and acquire a general perception, like the Creator?

Answer: To the extent that you connect with an increasingly greater number of souls, you grow stronger and expand your vessels of perception. Eventually you reach the state where the whole world becomes yours. Thanks to that, you become like the Creator and equal to Him, filled with the Upper Light. This state is called the end of correction or the adhesion of the created being to the Creator.

A person has to attain all of nature as one system, about which it is written: “and they shall all know me from the smallest to the biggest.” We are constantly under pressure, and no matter how much we try to escape it, we will not succeed. On the contrary, we summon even greater afflictions and blows upon us.

All the blows are a call from Above to start advancing towards the real goal, to adhesion with the Creator. Therefore, we need to gradually connect to all the people, from the closest circle to increasingly wider circles, until we encompass the whole world.

Question: How can I affect my life?

Answer: To the extent that you are incorporated in all of reality, you allow the Light to fill it through you. The Light is good and benevolent. All of creation was created by it and therefore wants to be filled with the Light. By being in the middle, you have to help the Light fill the whole world.

To your one side there is the whole creation and to your other side there is the Light, and you are in between like a cork that blocks the way for the Light, keeping the tap closed. You have to open the tap and let the Light fill all of creation,

In order to do that you need to be incorporated in the creation to some extent and on the other hand to connect with the Light. Thus, you connect the two and the Light can flow through you to all of creation. You are like a conductor, a connecting pipe. Turn on the tap and the Light goes through and fills the whole world.

Question: How can I turn this tap on?

Answer: It depends on how much you are incorporated in the creation and in the Light, as well, thus connecting the two. By connecting them, you turn on the tap. All this is done inside you.

The creation becomes your AHP and the Light becomes your GE, and your role is to become the pipe that connects the two. This is the mission of Israel. Israel are those who turn on the tap.

Question: It turns out that if I want to change reality I need to hold on to the tap.

Answer: Now, too, you are holding this tap in your hands, whether you want to or not. The problem is that you don’t feel how you block the way for the Light, for goodness, and don’t let it pour unto all of humanity.

Question: What is the first thing I should do?

Answer: The first thing is to connect with people like you and together establish a system that resembles the Light. Thus you turn on the tap of Light.

Question: Baal HaSulam says in the article “The Arvut” (Mutual Guarantee) that the Israeli nation had been constructed as a sort of gateway by which the sparks of purity would shine upon the whole of the human race the world over. What are “sparks of purity?”

Answer: There are sparks in every person including the AHP (will to receive), but it depends on the state they are in. The sparks that pull a person upward connect him to the Upper Light and are therefore called sparks of purity.

The sparks that are in the depth of the desire to receive, at the moment, cannot awaken by themselves. But through mutual incorporation, we can help them and pull them out of the ego. And due to that we can influence the desire to receive and convey the Light that Reforms, even to a great desire to receive, and use it as AHP of ascent in order to receive the Light of Hochma (wisdom) within it.

The revelation of the Creator is due to these thick AHP. Israel does not reveal the Creator if they don’t take care of the nations of the world.

If we yearn to draw the Light that Reforms, these sparks grow stronger under the influence of the Light. They grow by the Light since they wrap themselves with the vessels of receiving that can help them.

Every spark is like a magnet that pulls vessels of reception to himself. On one hand, it seems to promise a filling of these vessels. I want to fill myself, to receive, to fill my desire to receive. But to the extent that I get closer to this spark, I gradually change and want to fill myself in order to bestow. Then I want to bestow even without receiving anything for myself. This means that I reach the level of Bina.

Then I want to receive in order to bestow and thus I reach the level of Keter. All this happens around the same spark that changes by the Light that Reforms. Everything is done by the Light, while we only need to assist it in the cases when the Light at some point allows us to add our exertion.

The Light constantly operates, but sometimes it also allows us to participate. It is like playing with a child and sometimes letting him do something by himself. Then we again do everything by ourselves and also make room for the child to participate. This is how the Light constantly plays with us.

Question: We in Israel want peace so much and it doesn’t come. What is peace in general?  And how do we bring peace to Israel?

Answer: First of all, peace (Shalom – שלום) is wholeness (Shlemut – שלמות). And wholeness for Israel has always been inner completion (Hashlama  – השלמה).

The forefather Abraham took his supporters out of Babylon and called for them to be a “people,” meaning a group of people who live according to the laws of the property of mercy in mutual love and unity. And around 5,000 people followed him, according to Maimonides. A small group of Babylonians were attracted to bestowal around 3,500 years ago.

Abraham taught them how they needed to connect between them. After that, Isaac and Jacob continued on this mission, and ultimately our ancestors truly became a nation. This happened because they truly took upon themselves the requirements: “Don’t do to your friend what is hateful to you,” “You shall love your friend as yourself,” and “All of Israel are guarantors for each other.”

“And you shall love your friend as yourself” is called the “great general rule in the Torah.” This is the basis of the nation, its constitution, and the fundamental law according to which it exists. The group of Abraham separated from the whole world specifically to unite and live according to this general rule.

How many pursued this small number people and why didn’t they try to? The ten tribes disappeared and those who remained were scattered all over the world. They went through countless troubles and were persecuted again and again, until we returned to the land of Israel.

So what was wrong with this return?

During the period of the exile, the hatred of the nations of the world somehow connected us externally. Because of it, we were connected together, supported each other, and helped one another.

But in the land of Israel, we don’t feel the dominance of the nations of the world upon us, and now it is as if we lack this animosity and our own inner hatred took its place.

In principle, after we are released from the constant pressure, we will need to live here as a true people of Israel in the land of Israel and according to the law of love and oneness. But nothing is happening and nobody is even thinking about this, no sector is calling for this. Once unfounded hatred led to the destruction of the temple and scattered us all over the world,. Now there are the same troubles and the same hatred accompanying us on our return to the land.

Because of the gap in the connection between us, we are not a people. We become a people only if we are united by the power of mutual love. This is the condition, and as long as there is no love between us, the nation of Israel don’t exist.

Other nations arose in different places in the world according to local conditions, on the basis of local tribes, villagers, etc. The creation of every nation is based upon a common history and geography, i.e., earthly foundations.

We were not born this way. We were created on an ideological basis and were separated from the whole world according to an idea that is the opposite to the others, to the whole world. This is the fundamental difference, our original characteristic.

As a result of this, we developed and lived differently. All of our history is different from the usual template. All those around us always related to us as a foreign body, as a strange addition that was “not of this world.” There were even theories that we came from another planet.

How did this happen that today we have “gone crazy” to such an extent that we dream about peace without uniting as the people of Israel on their own soil?

Indeed, separation and division dwell among us, and always in circumstances like these, we are surrounded by “wolves” who want to prey upon the “sheep” that quarrell among themselves. That is how it always has been. So why do we hope? If we look at the present state among the people in the nation of Israel and at what happened two thousand years ago, we see the same picture.

The history is known, the causes are defined, and everything is laid out before us. But we are waiting for something from the Palestinians, maneuvering between political interests of nations near and far, and for what? All of this is most certainly not in our interests.

The moment we unite among us, we will reach wholeness in the relationships between us and will educate the people on the basis of those fundamental principles. As a result of this, we will reach peace.

Indeed, we are a people of the idea, and we must implement it. When we fell from the level of the temple, meaning from love and unity between us, everything was destroyed and we were thrown into exile. This means that only love will make it possible for us to rise again to the level of the temple, the level of peace and well-being.

In fact, these are the foundations of our history that are well known to us. Therefore, calls for peace and attempts to come to terms with the Palestinians are pointless. When we act like this, we are taking the usual approach of the nations of the world, using external means to solve problems of an internal nature. This has never worked and it never will work. After all, the nations of the world are always trying to annihilate us.  

But we can become many times stronger than they are and win over all of our haters only if we unite and are truly united. We must not be like nuts packed in a sack by our neighbors who press upon us from all directions and remind us about unity, even if it is artificial. Otherwise they will simply tear us apart.

So there is nothing more important than educating the people. We must explain to people that their good future depends upon them. The only requirement for peace for the people of Israel is unity within itself.

If we focus upon relationships between us and learn how to cultivate and improve them, everyone around us will relax. The riots will stop because everyone will be waiting for the time when we will finally come to peace among us. Subconsciously, this is what the nations of the world are waiting for.

Moreover, they are waiting for us to show them how to do this and how it is possible to reach wholeness of the self. What they want from us is an example of national unity resulting from mutual love, an example of an economic and national structure based upon this principle. They want us to build the country on the basis of love and bestowal, not based on competition, strife, and hatred.

After we show all of this to the world, we will become a “light to the nations.” Then they will want to receive this and copy this from us.

This is what the world is expecting during the global and integral crisis affecting everyone. There is simply no other choice for the world, as it is hoping for a means and an example that will show what must be done. We specifically can provide the world with this example.

Question: What must the nation of Israel do when the world is constantly chastising it? “Your neighbors also want to live,” they say. “Give them the opportunity to proclaim a state of their own and then sign a peace treaty with them.”

Answer: The subtext is different: “You have ships in the ports. Get on them and float away far from our land. We will bring you to someplace in the middle of the ocean, if you don’t sink on the way, of course. We will let you off on some nice island and you will live there in peace.”

In fact, something similar has already happened. This is specifically what they want and this is what they mean. We will yet see how things progress rapidly in this direction if we don’t begin the process of connection from our side.The people of Israel must initiate the correction of the world and give everyone the example of how the human society of tomorrow must look.

Question: And what if they isolate us in the international arena? In the modern era, a boycott is a serious weapon.

Answer: This will not help them if we act according to a new nature, the quality of bestowal. In this case no egoistic boycott will succeed. It will only make it possible for us to be quietly concerned about essential things and we will not feel a lack of anything.

Don’t be concerned about the economy, especially since up until today nobody knows according to what laws it operates. I am not afraid of anyone. I am only afraid about the people of Israel returning to the land of Israel: When will it finally want to be a nation in the full sense of the word?

Question: So everyone is against us. There is no reason to look at the others; come, let’s take care of our internal problems.

Answer: Of course, this doesn’t mean that we should defiantly run away from everyone, deny what they say and sever all connections. First of all, it is up to us to be concerned about our people. It is necessary to take care of the politics, but above all, 99% of our efforts must be focused upon educating people. Indeed the truth is not power, not money, and not an army that dominates the world.

Question: We always thought that in order to live in peace we had to make peace with our neighbors. And we say that peace begins from us, from what is latent in us.

Answer: This is understood. In fact, we don’t need to search for ways of making peace with our neighbors at all. It is enough for us to make peace among ourselves . All of humanity will look at us with amazement: “Wow! We also want this!” People will suddenly feel a yearning for this.

Indeed, the nations of the world will want to learn from us; but in the meantime, there is nothing to learn. On the contrary, we are trying to take an example from them instead of serving as an example for them. This is the reason that they hate us.

Our mission is to show what the Light is, which is a life of true serenity, mutual bestowal, and love, that is said to be the necessary basis for our existence.

If the world is perfection, then the Light is the power of bestowal and love that brings us this perfection.

Question: How do we nurture love among a people that is divided into thousands of factions?

Answer: Begin to teach them until they understand that separation and fragmentation harms them all along any axis. People will connect among themselves above all the differences. That is how parents love their children. It makes no difference how different they are from each other. All of them are different and all are equal, as one person with one heart.

Question: How can we move to a better united reality from this disintegrated crisis-stricken reality?

Answer: It is as if I awaken from a dream and see an evil world before me and then close my eyes again in order to awaken to a real, good world. The terrible world I first saw was a dream and I don’t want it.

When I wake up the second time, I see a normal world and not the world I saw before in my dream. This is what it says about the spiritual revelation: “It is as if we were dreaming.”

How can we awaken from this terrible nightmare into a good world? There is a remedy for that: We only need to heal our faulty perception. Now, too, we are in a wonderful world, in the Garden of Eden, where there are no afflictions or pain, where there is no evil at all, but only absolute goodness. The only thing we need is to change our perception.

We are in a sphere where all the goodness turns into total evil. Therefore, we see all the goodness as evil. It is to such an extent, that on the outside there is only the wonderful world of Ein Sof (Infinity), but we perceive it according to our evil attributes. If we change our attributes, we will see a good world.

We will find ourselves surrounded by angels who treat each other lovingly, and no one has any evil thoughts. It will be a world of absolute goodness. We should just be careful not to corrupt it and to perceive it correctly.

So if you feel bad, you should only look at yourself. We truly identify with your suffering, but there is a remedy that will help you feel good. This remedy isn’t a lie or a pain killer. On the contrary, when you begin to change your perception, thanks to it, you will see that previously you were dreaming.

The whole world will be corrected and not just parts of it: First it will be 10%, then 20%, 30%, and so on until it is 100% corrected. The world will change for the better as you change your attributes by 10%, 20%, etc.

To the extent that you manage to rise above your hatred towards others, you will see how their attitude towards you will change. Therefore, there is no need to change anyone in this world or to correct the world, you should only correct yourself.

Question: Is it possible to conduct an experiment at home in order to see that reality changes for the better?

Answer: You can invite a couple of friends and organize a circle that operates according to the laws of the corrected world. You should feel as one man in one heart and love one another as yourself, as it is written, “All of Israel are responsible for one another,” and “That which you hate, do not do to your friend.”

If you implement these principles among you, then in the connection between you, you will begin to feel a different state and a different life.

Thanks to the changes that you make inside yourself, all the reality around you also changes. There is no other solution. The solution will not come from an army, no matter how much effort, force, money, pain and anger you put into it. This isn’t our weapon.

It is because you are connected to the whole system, which actually depends on the Israeli nation since only they can influence the whole world. By not influencing the world to be better, we actually summon all the afflictions that hit us.

Connection is the only means that can correct everything, but I cannot explain exactly where you should connect in order to correct a specific state. In order to do so, we should speak in terms of Partzufim and Sefirot.

If the Israeli nation advanced just a little towards connection and not just under external pressure, we could change the world for the better. We must bring the revelation of the upper force that is good and benevolent to the world so that it will dwell among all the people.

It is actually the Israeli nation that should bring about such a revelation, and this is called bringing Light to the nations of the world. If we could understand that this is all our work and our mission and the mission of the Israeli nation in the land that must be as one man in one heart, we would get rid of all the problems and receive the respect and gratitude of the entire world.

Baal HaSulam, newspaper, “The Nation”: It is shameful to admit that one of the most precious merits we have lost during the exile, and the most important of them, is the loss of the awareness of nationality, that natural feeling that connects and sustains each and every nation.

Two thousand years ago, we felt ourselves as one people because all of us were as one man with one heart. This is what was called the “people of Israel,” and it doesn’t exist outside of connection.

Today, we are not connected. Rather, we are huddled together, gathered like sheep because of the wolves that are ready to tear us apart. On the outside, we look like a people, but in fact, this is not so.

This is our main and only problem. The Creator Himself supports all the other peoples. He supplies them with Reshimot and Lights that are drawn one to the other, so their nations are built naturally. The people only implement desires given from above. The Jewish people are different; we must build ourselves above our egoistic desire, in opposition to it.

However, essentially, we are the biggest egoists because we passed through a Shevira (breaking). As a result of this, connection requires difficult efforts from us. The Creator doesn’t favor us. Rather, He only gives us the opportunity to connect. He creates external conditions so that we will implement internal conditions so that we will connect above our desire.

If we do it, we will be fine, and, if we don’t, it will be bad. In this case, He will throw us out of the land. Of course, if we could live well in other countries, everyone would flee from here. However, the Creator sends us troubles and problems throughout the world, and in desperation, we have come to the land of Israel.

Then He arranged troubles for us here, enemies surrounding us without any room for escape. Ultimately, there will be no nation, no people, who will feel any sympathy toward us. The entire world, everyone, will oppose us and won’t want any connection with us. We will be left alone here on a small strip of land, isolated, besieged, like the defenders of the ancient fortress of Masada, and we cannot do anything.

If this does not work, the Creator, as Baal HaSulam writes, may scatter us again throughout the world.

In our present state, we don’t deserve to live on this land, and basically, there is no place on the face of the earth to wander to.

So, what is to be done? As a people, we must be an example for the rest of the peoples, but the thousands of years that have separated us from ancient Babylon have not changed anything. We are the small part that Abraham singled out from the Babylonian for correction. And to the degree that it is corrected, it will be able to influence the rest of the “Babylonians,” will be a “light to the nations,” and then all of Babylon will be corrected, the entire world will reach the long-awaited correction.

So, it is up to us;  first, we must unite according to the principle of “As one man in one heart.” It will be the birth of the spiritual embryo.  Then is the turn of the principle of “That which you hate, do not do to your friend,” the level of Yenika, Katnut. After that, we reach “Love thy friend as thyself,” the state of Gadlut. It is incumbent upon us to pass through these three levels until the completion of correction, and then we will become priests to the world, as it is written, the “nation of priests,” (Exodus 19:6).

Today, we see how hatred toward us grows and expands day by day.

Even nations that were formerly sympathetic to us or were neutral will become hostile. No one will want to do business with us or deal with us in general. That is when we will feel besieged, completely isolated from the world. If we won’t change according to the laws of nature, or the laws of the Creator, that are coming down on the world now, then this will be our future until the war of Gog and Magog. In fact, it is happening now, but its external phase looms before us. And this is all because we are stubborn in not wanting to correct ourselves, and accordingly, we cause the activation of unbreakable laws.

Question: Will the workshops that we conduct with the wider public help us?

Answer: If we come closer to the hearts of people, softening them a bit, then we immediately will take a different direction. The main thing is to change the polarity from minus to plus. In other words, not transforming people from mutual rejection to connection, but at least bring them an inclination toward connection, at least so that they will acknowledge that the connection could indeed be salvation. Through this, we change direction, transform it 180 degrees, and this is a lot. This is because then the Light will illuminate in us positively.

Question: What must the roundtables bring the people to?

Answer: I suppose that, thanks to our work with those parts of the people who are ready to listen to us, we will change the attitude of people toward each other, for all of the people of Israel are not only responsible for one another, but brothers, and not just in times of trouble, but in times of happiness.

Then we will see for ourselves that in connection there  is a latent power that changes everything so much so that the government will not need to enact new laws. This is because, according to the Torah, we don’t need a king with his entourage. A spiritual kingdom dominates the people, and this used to be truly so. This is the only possibility for running a nation with the help of an equal connection between everyone on an equal level, without differences in levels. So, unique powers begin to act, and we hope that we will feel and learn about them quickly.

Question: Even Baal HaSulam didn’t succeed in convincing people, so how can we?

Answer: Well, Baal HaSulam didn’t succeed nor did Moses, Rabbi Shimon, or Rabbi Akiva, but you will succeed. Everyone needs to tell himself that the entire world depends upon him.

If I thought that we wouldn’t succeed, then I would sit in my house and be engaged only with the wisdom of Kabbalah. However, how could you allow yourself to leave the world without help?

Question: Why must we succeed where others have failed?

Answer: We are living in a different time and in a different generation. We have received all that the great Kabbalists of the past have prepared for us in our hands, and we have brought the method closer to each and every one. And we need to continue forward, especially now.

Only in the past year have we started going out to the people. Before then, we disseminated the wisdom of Kabbalah and attracted people in whom the aspiration for it was awakened, people with a point in the heart. But now, no person can be left outside the circle; everyone must join it.

This is only the beginning. We still don’t know how to organize this so that all of the people will receive re-education and how and in what form it is necessary to do this to prevent bad development and reach the good. All this is really being clarified now.

Baal HaSulam produced his newspaper before the war. Who could hear him then? But today, after all the blows and troubles, people are wiser.  And besides, the entire world is covered by a general crisis. Nothing is sacred today. There are no people ready to stand on their principles no matter what. There is a decline in everything: helplessness, incessant threats, and growing anti-Semitism. All this frees up space for the true method  and makes it possible for people to listen to it.

The method itself is becoming more accessible. It has become clear that it is based upon the laws of nature and rational things, not upon beliefs or mysticism. All this is based on common sense.

The method has developed to the degree that the connection between us has become stronger. We are the ones who have developed this method. It is impossible to compare what we have today with what we got from Baal HaSulam and Rabash. We received their articles, letters, The Study of the Ten Sefirot, and The Book of Zohar. That is all. But today, all of us together, students throughout the world, working among ourselves and with the external public, have milled these materials, on all of these materials, like through a grinder, and deduced from this a practical method of correction.

Of course, we didn’t invent anything new, but we have started understanding the method, accepting it from Baal HaSulam and Rabash, and conveying it into practical footing. That did not happen before. And what will happen tomorrow, I don’t know, and so it should be. I see the distant future, but I cannot say what will happen tomorrow. Indeed, we need to create this method in practice.

Theoretically, I do not know everything, but in practice it is born anew each day. Today we are building tomorrow’s level, and we see how we have advanced! Sometimes we are faced with difficulties and feel helpless and in doubt. How do we conduct workshops and attract people? What questions do we discuss? Are people ready for this activity or another? How do we tell them about the necessity of connection?

We are looking for the way, and we are looking for it within us, because, in the meantime, we don’t have all the answers. It is as if we are taking care of someone, but, in fact, we are changing ourselves, and that is how it is day by day. This is the way, and it is possible to advance only in a this form.

Our forefathers lived ages ago, but those who are most important for us are our relatives: our grandfather, grandmother, father, and mother. Our mother and father are undoubtedly the most important since it is through them that we connect to all the generations that preceded them.

This refers both to our corporeal parents and to our spiritual parents. This is also how we connect to our upper father and mother (AVI), our spiritual parents, in order to receive the power, the Light, through them. All our work is in subduing ourselves before them.

Everything depends on the extent to which we can take an example from them and our wanting to be like them, to learn from them, and to subdue ourselves before their greatness. Our ego is intentionally meant for us to criticize them, and our work is to ascend above this criticism, although we disagree.

It is natural to disagree with our father and mother because we are on a lower level, but when we ascend above all the doubts, the questions, the difficulties, and the disagreements with the upper level, it is thanks to this that we ascend.

First, we totally nullify ourselves and incorporate in the upper like an embryo. Then, we move to the phase of Yenika (suckling) and Mochin (mind) and become more independent. All these levels are based on self-annulment, the restrictions of the ego, the acquisition of a Masach (screen), and on working above the criticism that is invoked in us toward the upper.

Therefore, the role of the nation is to annul themselves before the sages, the Kabbalists, to listen to them and serve them in any way possible. We actually must use the Kabbalist’s reason and listen to his advice when he tells us which steps we must take in order to advance spiritually.

This is also how we should act with regard to the world. Israel is called Li Rosh (I have a head), and so those who are on the level of Israel and attain spirituality must fulfill their role with regard to others. We either belong to Yashar El (straight to the Creator), and thus guide others, or to the nation, and then we subdue ourselves with regard to this guidance and follow it.

This refers especially to our nation when we try to reach a state in which everything that is written in the Torah is actually taking place in practice. We are the first generation that is trying, that is making an effort, to fulfill the Torah as well as to set an example for others, which means to reach a connection that is equal to the form of the upper, to the Creator’s form.

Thus, we establish relationships in the group and outside the group, among the nation and outside the nation. Thus, everything is organized in levels, in the shape of a pyramid, and the one below who subdues himself more than others, ascends higher than others.

Now, he is below since he has a Reshimo (reminiscence) from the big Masach that he once had and which he fulfilled it in order to bestow. Now that the Masach is shattered, he fell to the lowest level.

If he annuls himself, his ego, rises above it, and each time attributes himself to a level that is higher than he is, he will reach the top of the pyramid. Thus, the whole pyramid becomes a circle, and we return to the state of Ein Sof (Infinity), of one vessel and one Light.

During the time of the corrections, the time of the work, we have no other choice but to subdue ourselves before the upper. Everyone should understand who his upper is and from whom he receives the method, the Torah, the guidance along the way. Then, all the corrections will become the same, which means that they all form a circle.
