Comment: Today there is only a very thin layer of people who feel, understand, and think about the meaning of life.

My Response: And the rest do not desire to do this and instead exist automatically. Ninety percent of people on earth do not know why and how they live at all and they just feed and reproduce offsprings. Only a small portion of people live with questions about the meaning of life and understand the why, how, and what in regards to the nature of their existence. There are very few of them, a couple of million on Earth.

But everyone should be corrected because we represent a huge single body in which there is flesh, various organs, and a small brain, and in the brain resides a small ball that controls everything, a kind of microprocessor. There is nothing else. Everything else is the body as subordinate to it.

That’s how everyone else is. They should just realize that there is no other way and that they need to listen to this little brain: “I want to listen to it, I have to! I want to cling to it, join it, grab hold of it, and thus ensure a good life for myself.” That is all. They are at such an animal level that they need no more than that.

And only the ones that can realize, understand, and absorb the whole picture of creation and all its greatness, scheme, and system are the conduits of light into our world for all the less fortunate people.

These special ones do not live for themselves, but for the whole of humanity. And the whole of humanity exists for each other through the reception of light from above from a small brain system that enables us to live mutually harmoniously even without understanding or realizing all the enormous work that is being done in connection between everyone—in one common soul.

As a result, we will all come to complete correction and will gradually rise to the next degree of the feeling of the universe.

In order to reach adhesion with the Creator, we need a strong desire, which we do not have. Desires are revealed from the entirety of the shattered souls, and therefore, they cannot be strong because everything is fractured. Therefore, some small particle from the common soul awakens here and there thanks to which a person awakens.

This general awakening is caused by the surrounding light that is waiting for us to create a place for it where it can really be revealed. Due to this surrounding light, we find ourselves connected to each other and receive the opportunity to gather into a group and study Kabbalah. All this is in order to increase our desires.

After all, our desires are very small and they are also not directed correctly. We do not know where we exist and for what purpose. It is like a small child who does not know where he is, hut has parents who know exactly what is happening to him and what needs to be done with him, and how to take care of him so that he grows up healthy.

Therefore, if we want to grow spiritually, we are brought to a group and taken through all kinds of states. By establishing correct relationships in the group, we aim ourselves in the right direction and thus advance.

Besides, we are at such an advanced stage of development that it ceases to be individual. That is, we are entering the era of what is called the last generation when all of humanity has to awaken. Today, an awakening of a small group or individual Kabbalists is no longer enough like it was in previous generations.

We must understand that we all belong to the same desire of Adam HaRishon, and we need to come closer and to become incorporated in it. Then we will see that the Creator helps us in more tangible way.

It is not by chance that such great hatred is being revealed in the world today, and it is flaring up more and more day by day. It would seem that this is absolutely not compatible with the high level of development of humanity, which should have already stopped all wars and be concerned with more exalted things.

But it will turn out the opposite. We will forget about space flights and high matters. If we do not start working on our connection, we will feel how humanity is sinking lower and lower every day and being immersed in sordid affairs. After all, the main thing we need to do is to connect everyone to the system of Adam HaRishon. If humanity learns about this method and understands why they were mistaken and were getting into difficult situations all the time, then they will come closer to correction in this way.

It is amazing that the further humanity advances in engineering, high tech, science, culture, and education, making such progress as if it can already reach the stars, at the same time, our life on planet Earth will become more and more miserable, appalling, and gloomy. We will look like bugs crawling in manure.

After all, if we do not advance toward connection, then all our other achievements will turn to our detriment and beat us. They will not allow us to develop correctly, and our life will be getting worse and worse.

However, the correction of egoism is impossible by simply overcoming it. We must connect above our egoism. That is, it is already useless today to fight against our egoism, like in previous generations when each person was developing individually.

In our time, there is only one way to defeat egoism: together, collectively. This field of connection, love, mutual care, and guarantee that we establish between us should save us and bring us to a new state. Otherwise, we will not succeed.

Medium published my new article “Reopening Coal-fired Plants — When Hate Overpowers Common Sense”

After decades of struggling to find climate-friendly alternatives to coal, Europe is forced to return to it after Russia cut its gas exports in retaliation for Europe’s sanctions against it. In a matter of weeks, years of work have been undone. Although this is supposedly a temporary measure, no one can say when gas supplies will be restored. And why has all this happened? Because of hate. The technology is there, the resources are there, but the hostility and enmity are also there, and when these are present, they always win. The only thing we need to fix in order to restore prosperity is our aversion to each other.

Now, because we cannot overcome our hatred, Russia is losing money because it stopped selling gas to Europe. Europe, too, is losing money because it cannot buy cheap gas, and will pollute the air because it will reopen coal-fired plants.

Likewise, there is an abundance of semiconductors, but some companies bought stocks of them in advance, and the rest of the world is fighting for the scraps. As a result, prices are rising the world over, production and shipments are heavily delayed, and countries that want to protect themselves from other country’s selfishness are forced to start manufacturing what they need for themselves, if they can.

Globalization has been good for us. It provided abundant cheap supplies of things we could not produce ourselves, or at least not at an affordable price. Now, for no other reason than hate, humanity is being set back decades, if not centuries, as some of the most technologically advanced countries have to choose between electricity from coal or no electricity at all.

Even worse, that same hate is causing massive shortages of wheat. What if the climate in a particular country is unsuitable for growing wheat? Will people in that country be forced to turn to cornbread or potatoes as a source of carbohydrates? Will they have to switch to a protein based diet and live on meat?

And what if this crisis spreads to the transportation sector? The semiconductor crisis has already affected manufacturing. What if other essential elements are delayed, as well? Would we return ‎to horse and carriage? Can we even do that?

And what about medicine? How can humanity provide adequate medicine without instruments that are manufactured all over the world, and without effective shipment?

If we are wise, we will use the reopening of coal-fired plants as the canary in the mine, if you will. It is a warning sign that we have no choice but to start cultivating truly positive relationships if we want human civilization to survive.

We can make the coming years peaceful and prosperous. But for this to happen, we have to turn our focus from cleaning the air, the water, and the ground, to cleaning our hearts from hatred of each other. Hatred pollutes and kills more than all other pollutants combined.

Medium published my new article “No Point in Having Economists without Accountability”

An economist shared with me that there is a saying about economists, that they tell you tomorrow what happened yesterday.

With the world drowning in a whirlpool of financial and economic crises, we need economists who can tell us not only what happened, but what will happen down the line, and most importantly, what to do about it. Economists who show off their fancy charts spread across multiple displays, who talk about models without telling us what specifically we should do to stop the global economic avalanche, are worthless. We do not need them.

Economists get a lot of prime time exposure, which they use in order to tell us what is happening. But we don’t need them to tell us what is happening because it is happening to us. We need them to tell us what to do, and this is where they all grow silent.

It is like having an expert in microeconomics telling me how to run my house. I trust that economist, but I suddenly find that I cannot buy this food or that appliance, or I cannot pay for my kids’ afterschool classes. How would I relate to such an “economist”?

This is what is happening to us at the macro level. Instead of looking for a hole deep enough to hide in, economists condescendingly lecture us mere mortals about why there is no baby formula on supermarket shelves, why inflation is skyrocketing, and why gasoline costs more than $5 a gallon. (In Israel, by the way, it is twice as expensive as in the US.)

The purpose of economics is to anticipate what might happen and, equally important, how to prepare for it. Clearly, there are unpredictable events. However, these pundits should include preparations for the unpredictable in their models and advise policymakers how to prepare for them. That way, when a downturn comes, we will not be left helpless and hapless as we are now.

Economists must draw the line, set the boundaries, and warn which moves humanity cannot afford to take because of their consequences. When economists prove that they can create models that guarantee the stability of humanity, or at least the stability of a country, they should step off the counselor seat and join the ranks of policymakers.

As such, they will be very powerful because they will be able to influence us through our most sensitive spot: our stomach. If a reliable economist warns that tomorrow we will run out of grain or water, everyone will listen. If all they do is print thick reports on glossy paper, they are not worth the price of the paper their reports are written on.

I can count my money in the bank, assuming I have any; I don’t need economists for that. I do, however, need them to tell me where the world is going out of balance and what to do about it because this will influence my bank account in the future.

If economists felt responsible for what is happening and regretted not warning us in time, they could be excused. But if they remain in the commentator’s seat and do not feel responsible for the well-being of the world, then there is no point in having them at all.

Medium published my new article “What If We Got It All Wrong about the Climate?”

What if we got it all wrong about the climate? What would we do if we learned that aerosols that pollute the air also cool it and mitigate the greenhouse effect? Also, what if we were told that volcanic eruptions that emit CO2 and other greenhouse gases that heat up the atmosphere, also emit ash that blocks the sun’s rays and cools the air more than the CO2 they emit, and which heats it? Recently published scientific papers claim just that.

A study conducted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration claims that “A 50% decrease in pollution particles and droplets in Europe and the U.S. is linked to a 33% increase in Atlantic storm formation in the past couple decades, while the opposite is happening in the Pacific with more pollution and fewer typhoons.”

If we add to this recent discovery the well-established fact that volcanic eruptions cool the Earth, it begs the question, how then do we deal with climate change? Do we clean the air and heat up the planet? Do we keep polluting the air in order to cool it? Or, do we try to somehow clean the air and reduce CO2 emissions in a way that does not accelerate the warming of the air?

If these questions seem unsolvable, it is because they are. They are unsolvable because they are the wrong questions; they aim to “cure” the symptoms rather than the illness. It does not work in medicine, and it does not work with the climate.

The “illness” that causes these problems is human behavior. We are ruthlessly exploiting the earth’s resources. We are competing over who will exploit the planet more effectively and more quickly, and we completely ignore the fact that by doing so, we are sowing off the branch we are sitting on.

To solve the climate crisis, humanity needs to have a round table discussion ‎and collectively determine its priorities. We will have to decide what is necessary for everyone and what is not, and provide only what is necessary. We will have to learn to exist the way all of nature exists. If we do not learn it of our own accord, nature will force us to learn it the hard way.

This solution pertains not only to the climate crisis, but to all our problems. There is not a single problem today that does not affect the entire world. Look at the food shortage that the war in Ukraine has caused, look at the global supply disruptions, the soaring inflation around the world, the viruses that spread uncontrollably, the computer chip crisis, everything impacts everyone and there is nothing we can do to solve these crises because we are trying to save ourselves instead of trying to save everyone collectively.

If we start thinking collectively, we will find solutions to all our problems because they are not problems of pollution or inflation, or any of the other symptoms; they are problems in connection.

When we change the purpose of our connection from mutual exploitation to mutual correction, we will find that we have no problems whatsoever. We can cut the production of all our products and still have more than enough to provide everyone with all their needs. If we stop competing against each other, we will have no reason to deplete the earth. If we have no need to deplete the earth, we will be able to reduce CO2 and aerosol emissions all at the same time.

The bottom line is that we do not need to worry about reducing pollution; we need to worry about improving our connections. If we establish strong connections around the world, the rest of our problems will disappear as if they never existed.

The question about the purpose of life begins to subconsciously awaken in us even though a person does not ask himself openly. He is constantly trying to bury this question so it would not pop up like a snake. And what is left for the person to do? He is fighting against ecological violations, for gays’ rights, for transsexuals’ rights, for other things.

Yet, if we are to show a person that there is a goal given to us from above rather than being invented by us and that it is coming from the upper force rather than from our low egoism, then it will be possible to lead people in a completely different direction—toward unity instead of division.

Egoism is a narrow space and it cannot embrace the whole world. Then what is it against and what is it for? It has to make itself concrete in a certain framework; it is us and that is all.

Therefore, we are very quickly moving toward either good or bad things in the world. Countries will start to unite between themselves, these against those, and those against these and so forth. It will be a big mess.

Comment: According to some statistics i saw, around 30,000 Americans, 25,000 Japanese and 70,000 Russians commit suicide every year and some sociologists say these numbers are understated by nearly half.

My Response: This is a consequence of the breakage of our human society.

The essence of man is the desire to enjoy. We want all the best for ourselves, to be warm, comfortable, safe, happy, but instead we constantly face negative feelings.

A person is brought to such a state where he is forced to ask: “What is the meaning of my life? Why do I need it? In fact, there is nothing to look forward to. I am awaiting cataclysms every day and reassuring myself that not only I but everyone will be affected doesn’t in fact make it better.”

A person can be morally and logically brought to a state where he wants to take his own life here and now. Why suffer?

If the whole of life consists of somehow maintaining my existence that constantly brings me pain and suffering, then only the instinct of self-preservation keeps me from not putting an end to it. But this instinct is not that strong. It can be easily neutralized and we see this happening. Largely, it depends on society.

For example, the Japanese have long held death in high esteem. They built it almost into a cult. Americans have another problem—drugs.

Comment: Today, the US is one of the global leaders in the growth rate of depression.

My Response: Naturally, because they are the most developed. This is the future of all mankind. But there is a way out of this and it is a very simple one.

Kabbalah says that people will nearly reach a state of looking forward to death. In this very state will the breaking point occur.
They will begin to realize that they have brought themselves out of balance with nature with their inner qualities and with how they relate to each other, that they must do something about it: “Instead of nature, we are to blame for this. We can’t expect any changes from it. We have acted in a way that caused it to become hostile toward us. This must be radically changed.”

Then they will reveal the methodology of changing themselves, achieving balance, happiness, and harmony; moreover, not only harmony at our level, but at the same time and through the merging of two worlds, the spiritual and ours, people will begin to feel immortal.

Question: Japan is one of the most developed countries in terms of the pace of technology and computerization. They developed so quickly in relation to other peoples that there were even theories about an extraterrestrial origin of this civilization. Why did this happen?

Answer: I think it is precisely because they were not hindered by the previous stages of development. They jumped from the ancient natural way of life to a new way of life. They did not need to process this information and all sorts of changes. They just went from one state to another.

Their worldview, perception of the world, inner steadfastness, and inner attitude that a person can suffer, sacrifice himself, must rise above himself, and that those who do not think about themselves are respected, all these external motives and their religion helps them. To this can be added their distance from the whole world, the feeling of living on an island.

I was in Japan and felt it very strongly although I visited it in the 21st century after they had achieved all the technological innovations. But it still felt like you were in another world.

Of course, this is not an extraterrestrial civilization. It’s just the character of people who developed together with the belief that a person should rise up, go deep into himself, and unite with nature.

Nature itself forces them to be closer to it because of constant earthquakes, tsunamis, and all kinds of problems; all this has made them.

Moreover, their serious rules of life are still very strong in society. The usual human egoism is hidden inside naturally anyway. But it was in a preliminary state of its development, not fiercely egoistic like it was after the Greek, Roman, and Western civilizations in our world.

The combination of underdeveloped egoism with its suppression, along with a huge methodology of external conventions, led them to a state where they received such a system of relationships, such instructions, and such rigid principles from childhood that they did not even have any opportunities to change their paradigm.

We see that the isolation of this people, their religion, and the corresponding family and social charters have led them to become like this. But it collapses very quickly.

Medium published my new article “Toward a Fiery Turmoil”

Roe v. Wade is overturned and protests erupt, gun laws are revisited, war rages in Ukraine, Sri Lanka’s economy collapses, bank runs in China, escalating tensions between the US and China over Taiwan, an increasingly belligerent North Korea, and a nearly nuclear and wholly unruly Iran — all these are a prelude to a fiery turmoil that will storm the world. The unwanted, unintended, yet inescapable ties among all parts of humanity are raising the level of friction and aggression while our connectedness relentlessly increases.

In this mayhem, countries will collide with countries, parties will jar with parties, societies will clash, and people will thrash one another. Everyone will be embroiled in a vortex in which everyone is connected to everyone else, and everyone influences everyone else. The clashes will demonstrate how hostile we are, how unwilling we are to listen to each other or hear about each other until everything seems to fall apart.

But then people will begin to realize the unexpected truth that the differences between us do not divide us, but nourish us. They will see that although we feel apart, we are actually a family where each member has a unique position, duties, and chores. Yet, above it all, we are a family.

When we realize this, we will understand and even feel that we can succeed only as a family, and not alone. We will understand that although mom does some things, dad does other things, and the children all have their different chores and duties, these differences are not what matters. What matters is not what we do in the family, but that we are a family; that we are connected in our hearts.

When we realize how closely and irrevocably we are connected, we will establish new relationships between us, family relationships among all of humanity. This will solve most, if not all, of our problems.

For example, the impending wave of hunger that will engulf many countries, or the heating problems that countless countries will face next winter, are avoidable crises. There is enough food and gas to meet the needs of all of humanity, and then some. But since there is no desire to distribute these staples, and plenty of desire to deny them and torment other nations, humanity is condemned to starvation and to freezing. In other words, the problem is our foul connection, not a scarcity of anything.

In the current situation, these problems will impact not only countries at war or those that rely on imports for provision of staples; they will affect everyone. The inevitable result will be a realization that our only option is to forge positive relations and connect with one another like the family, as we just mentioned. The question is how much fiery turmoil we will have to endure before we come to this conclusion.

Question: You said that all suffering is brought into the world not by the quality of receiving, but by the quality of bestowal, the quality of the Creator. What does this mean?

Answer: If the Creator did not interfere with us, we would simply live without developing. When the quality of bestowal comes into our world, it begins to constantly spur us on. It is because of it that the quality of receiving grows in us.

Without this, we would remain animals and everything would be fine. But since the Creator wants to draw us closer to Him so we become like Him, He always sends us an illumination that develops us.

As the dough rises because of yeast, so do we constantly grow in our egoism under the influence of external spiritual energy, more and more, until we break out of this pan like dough. Then we begin to brew, like it is happening now when we do not know what we are living for or what to do with ourselves next.

Thus, the upper light, the quality of bestowal, brings almost all suffering into our world. On the one hand, the Creator created evil in the world. On the other hand, even this evil, which is us egoists, He does not leave alone, He constantly develops us to greater and greater evil until we realize it and want to break free of it at all costs.

I hope this will happen in our time because today we can already teach and spread Kabbalah everywhere, we can tell everyone about globalism, about the universal connection between us, about the need to unite, to overcome egoism, and to rise above it, which is something that we had no right to do in prior generations because we had not yet revealed the global nature.

Today, we can already hope that our next steps will be conscious and therefore sweetened by us. We will feel all further development is correct, convenient, and successful, and we will participate in it voluntarily and will prevent undesirable events. That is, we will keep developing but not under the influence of blows.
