The End Of The Money Era, Part 1

Laitman_115_06The sin of the first man with the tree of knowledge of good and evil was that Adam tasted what great pleasure can be received by bringing contentment to the Creator and couldn’t resist receiving it egoistically. He could receive this pleasure on condition that he would lead the entire world to connection, and in this way he would have created a screen on the egoistic reception. However, he didn’t have such screen and therefore sinned.

The revelation of this huge egoistic desire is called the original sin, and all of us, our entire world, are the result of this sin. The first time it was revealed was in the ancient Babylon. Once they discovered that egoistic union leads us to crisis, some of the Babylonians simply decided to disperse. The same thing is happening now in Europe and will soon begin in America.

And the other part of the Babylonians said, “No! We have a teacher, Abraham, who says that it is possible to find a force that will be able to unite us.” Since then humanity split and went in two different ways.

Those that went with Abraham and called themselves people of Israel also fell into the same egoism as other nations of the world. And yet they couldn’t become the same as the others due to the division that occurred in ancient Babylon that has run throughout the entire history of humanity. And to this day the same fight is going on.

Once a new egoistic desire was revealed in Adam, he couldn’t think about anything else apart from reception. Our entire world is a materialized consequence of this action, and therefore it is built entirely on material success. In it everything is measured by money, which is an equivalent of all a person’s actions.

We can’t evaluate people according to their psychology and achievements in culture and education. In the end, everything is converted into money. That’s the way it is organized all over the world, but nowadays this model of measurement is beginning to collapse. Soon it will be impossible to measure anything with money and it will disappear, no longer being the sole criterion.

The destruction has already begun in the United States, where previously there wasn’t any other way of payment except money. After all, this country was created by people from all nations and all cultures. They didn’t pay attention if your skin is black, white, or yellow, nothing about you worried them apart from money. Money has been a major force.

And now the force of money is disappearing and eventually there won’t be any model of measurement left. However, for the three hundred years of existence of America, it was very helpful that it didn’t take into account any values other than money.

It was different in Europe. America is one country where many nations live, but in Europe there are many countries and many different opinions, ideologies, ideals of freedom and equality, and the long history of mutual relations and conflicts between all the countries. Therefore the union wasn’t easy for them, and instead of connecting they started to fight.

After the wars, the Europeans attempted to unite following the US example, they wanted to realize the American dream for themselves. However they had to become a United States of Europe for that and this isn’t simple. They didn’t have one government and one nation. Therefore it didn’t work out. And besides, they were prevented by disagreement in psychological principles. In America there was only one principle, money! And in Europe there were many other principles, after all, this is a special ancient culture. Although, no matter what, one collapses from one side, another from another side, but in the end they both will be destroyed.

The Genetic Map Of Humanity, Part 1

Laitman_115_04Question: Genetic testing allows a person to learn about one’s personal hereditary likelihood of certain diseases and the effectiveness of different treatments, his or her ancestry, and the migration of deep ancestors. A person’s genetic map can reveal all this.  What can Kabbalah say beyond genetics, beyond physical genes?

Answer: Humanity came from ancient Babylon, which was the home of many small nations. From there they spread in different directions over the entire globe. Initially they had common culture and language, a more or less similar approach to life and family. However, since every nation settled in their own place, the nature of the terrain, the force acting there, and the environmental conditions began to influence them.

Every nation received a different influence and therefore acquired their color and character, according to the place they settled, in England, Europe, Africa, or in the East – India, China, and Japan.

A place made a person different from others who settled in different places. And those people who live nearby are usually similar.

We all came from ancient Babylon, all people of the world. I think it is yet to be discovered that there was a connection between South and North America, Europe and Africa. As in the spiritual sense, we are all descendants of Adam and Eve, and in the material sense we come from one particular type of monkeys that developed and spread throughout the world.

Unlike monkeys, humans demonstrated a special ability to develop. Monkeys don’t change from generation to generation, but humans change enormously.

We see how much each next generation differs from the previous one, as if they are made from a different material. The modern generation has a different attitude to life, family, children, and to all basic life necessities. All this changes from generation to generation.

Family is not the same as it used to be; the relationships between a man and a woman, between parents and children, the concept of home, kitchen have all changed, especially nowadays.

Therefore, I don’t think that we should be surprised by the results of genetic analysis. Did all the ancestors of Englishmen live in England? Two to three-thousand years ago, barbarians inhabited the whole of Europe.

Culture began to spread from ancient Babylon to the Mediterranean, and then from ancient Greece and Rome to Europe. People were already mixed when they left ancient Babylon. We look at a person and say that he is one-quarter Indian, one-quarter Finnish, and half French. But this is only what we see, and in fact, all these genes were already mixed in him when people were leaving Babylon.

Question: How are these characteristic features passed from generation to generation? How are they transmitted?

Answer: The properties are transmitted through the Reshimot, i.e., informational genes. This bit of information enclosed within the semen gives the internal and external image developing within a person. Parents aren’t just an incubator where eggs are hatched. There is a much deeper internal connection between parents and children that is passed from father to son.

Why The Jews Are Not Left Alone

Laitman_043Question: When we didn’t have a nation and we were weak, they tried to annihilate us. Now, we have a strong nation, and they never leave us alone. Why?

Answer: We won’t be left alone as long as we haven’t we carried out our mission in relation to the world. This was said at the time of our formation.

Many years ago in ancient Babylon, Abraham gathered a group of people who wanted to rise above their egoistic nature, which led to disintegration of Babylon, resistance, and the confusion of languages.

Abraham united them around a simple idea. All of us are egoists and reject each other. But contrary to the ego, inherent in nature lies the force that can be extracted from it that can counterbalance our egoism. Then balance will appear between egoism and altruism, between hatred and love, as it is written, “Love covers all transgressions” (Proverbs 10:12). This is what we must achieve.

With our foundation from Abraham, we lived in this state for 1,500 years until the destruction of the Second Temple, which happened 2,000 years ago. From then on, we were in exile from the state of unity, friendship, love, and mutual assistance.

After the destruction of the Second Temple, we fell from the level of love to the level of unfounded hatred toward each other, and we have been on that level to this very day.

While in this state, we cannot give the method of unification to humanity, which is so needed in our integral world that has become like a “small village.” So, we—the bearers of this method—are hated by the world. The peoples of the world instinctively feel that we are to blame for all of their suffering. They turn toward us with this hatred.

We must understand our mission: to return from spiritual exile, begin to unite, and transform into being one man with one heart, being responsible for each other. Then, we will show the world the example that they are waiting for! Only then will they be able to begin to unite behind us, and the world will come to calm.

This is the meaning of our existence. And the meaning of anti-Semitism is that it obligates us to carry out our work! Until we do that, anti-Semitism in the world will only increase.

Jews In The Diaspora

laitman_430Question: There are many more Jews in the Diaspora than in Israel. What is the role of the Jews in these countries? How much and through what can they influence the development of the state taking into account the mission and role of the Jewish people?

Answer: This depends only on Jewish education, not the usual and traditional education, but Integral Education, which is to merge with each other, and to show Israel and the world the methodology of unity it needs. It is written in the Torah: As it is written in the Torah: “For they shall all know Me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them” (Jeremiah 31:33).

Question: In the past, in many nations, especially in Europe, America, and the Soviet Union, the Jews were assimilated and renounced their Judaism, they intentionally forgot it, etc. What is the harm and benefit of the assimilation of the Jews in the various nations?

Answer: Of course, this happened according to the laws of nature. To the degree that we are separate from each other, we assimilate, and when we assimilate, we bring part of our spiritual foundation to other societies, to other people. In the future it will be revealed how Jewish spiritual foundations spread among the peoples. In addition, it is impossible to forget that we also lost the ten tribes who blended in with other people 2,500 years ago.

Comment: It is possible to divide the Jews who live in the Diaspora into several categories: those in whom Judaism has been internally awakened in them, meaning a yearning to attain the meaning of life, those who are interested in where they came from but define themselves as Russians or Americans and the likeaccording to their cultural affiliation, and those who deny the fact that they are Jews and don’t even think about it.

Answer: Actually, a person defines himself as a Jew either according to his spiritual affinity, or only according to nationality, or he believes that according to where he is living and his cultural affiliation he is Russian, American, and so on. This is natural, he can easily blend in among the other peoples, and they won’t even force him to come out as a Jew, so we cannot determine who is a Jew and in what category he belongs.

The Jewish people are not a people in the direct sense of the word “people.” They were not created on a genetic basis like the rest of the nations. Instead they were founded by the gathering of completely separate and different people living in ancient Babylon. Abraham is the one who gathered them and he began to consolidate them into a single group above all differences, according to the principle: “love covereth all transgressions” (Proverbs 10:12). Under this slogan, Abraham wanted to gather all the inhabitants of Babylon. Because the same situation exists in modern civilization as was in ancient Babylon, we need to reach a state of love above all differences in any case.

Union Concluded At Mount Sinai, Part 4

laitman_232_06In ancient Babylon Abraham discovered that the egoistic force that erupted could be balanced by the good force. He realized that it was not a local conflict that only related to Babylon, but it applied to the entire universe, to the entire upper system that includes in itself not only this world, but also the five upper worlds.

So Abraham began to ask how it was possible to reach this balance? After all, our egoism is very shallow in comparison to the upper worlds and the great forces of good and evil that act in them. What a tremendous evil force we need to reveal in order to attain the entire positive force of nature? How would we be able to withstand such egoism?

And the Creator consoled Abraham that he has nothing to worry about, because his descendants would go into exile. Meaning that the group called Israel would receive such a big negative force that would oblige them to reveal a positive force to balance it.

The balance of these two forces starts from the state at Mt. Sinai and the receiving of the Torah. We by ourselves cannot extract the positive force from nature that would balance the tremendous force of our egoism.

We need an entire system for achieving this positive force and the balance between the two forces. This system is called the Temple, a huge vessel, a special state, where negative and positive forces are in harmony with each other.

When Abraham heard this from the Creator he realized that success was guaranteed. The most important thing was to reveal a powerful negative force called Egypt. This entire negative force is revealed as the Pharaoh that rules over the children of Israel and makes them feel that they must rise above him.

A miracle happens at Mt. Sinai where they receive this positive force. This is a big holiday, a great joy from rising above our nature, and new horizons open in front of a person.

It is impossible to reveal the positive force without revealing the big negative force within us, because the egoism acts as “help against it” and pushes us forward, forcing us to look for the positive force. We feel that we can’t exist in slavery to our egoism any longer. All the Egyptian plagues and blows to our ego push us to reveal the good force.

Question: What conclusions can we draw from the events at Mt. Sinai for our lives today?

Answer: The giving of the Torah happens every day and a person needs to imagine himself standing at Mt. Sinai again. Every moment we need to renew this root again and again, because the egoistic force within us is renewed all the time and we need to draw the positive force against it in order to balance them.

We will continue to advance this way until we reveal the entire negative force and the entire positive force against it, each time reaching the balance between them. It means rising through 125 degrees. At the end, the positive force called the Creator will balance the entire egoistic force allotted to the creature. And then we will feel ourselves in harmony between these two forces and will reach the revelation of the good upper force.

And the negative force wasn’t bad, it actually helped us reveal the Creator and unite with Him.

Crisis In Ancient Babylon And Today

Laitman_115_06Question: What is the difference between the crisis of humanity in the time of Abraham and the crisis today? Why didn’t they use his method of unity, but instead religions appeared? Why only now humanity needs it again? Or is it just because of the differences in the development of egoistic desire?

Answer: In the time of Abraham, the crisis happened only in order to distinguish the group of Kabbalists, its construction, its breakdown, and its scattering among all of the peoples of the world.

Today the crisis has led humanity to the group of Abraham in order to use his method that is already written, organized, arranged, and ready for use by everyone on all levels from the most passive to the most active.

Anti-Semitism Is Growing

Laitman_408Question: There has been a dramatic increase in anti-Semitic incidents in Britain lately without any evident cause. Anti-Semitism in the Labor party and the declarations of the former mayor of London Ken Livingstone, who claimed that Adolf Hitler was an advocate of Zionism when he was elected and strove to transfer the Jews from Europe to Israel and not to concentration camps, are only a few examples of this trend.

What do you think is the cause for these expressions of anti-Semitism in one of the most prosperous countries in Europe and what may be the implications and consequences?

Answer: Of course there cannot be positive implications and I have been warning and writing about this for years.

Anti-Semitism will continue to grow as long as the Jews don’t fulfill their goal. They have to show all of humanity how to unite into one nation and bring the whole world to unity.

It says so in the Torah and also when the Jewish nation was founded in ancient Babylon under the leadership of Abraham. So we have no choice but to fulfill our goal, whether in a good way or as a result of serious blows on the part of nature.

Otherwise, as long as we don’t fulfill our goal, we evoke the negative forces in the world against us ,which are meant to direct us toward our goal. It is our duty to reach the state of “love thy friend as thyself” among the Jewish people and show the world that it is possible to be a role model for them, a “Light unto the nations of the world.”

Orders Of Jewish Officers Reveal The Secrets Of The Bible

laitman_926_01In the News (from lenta.ru): “Pottery shards found in a small Israeli fortress reveal an answer to one of the most important issues of Biblical studies—whether basic texts of the Old Testament were written before the Babylonian exile or after it. Inscriptions on potshards attesting to the literacy of the Jews speak in favor of the first version. This was reported in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. …

“However, Israeli archaeologists have studied the inscription (in Hebrew) on the clayshards from the fortress of Arad (southern Judah), dating from about 600 BC – and found a high level of literacy among the Jews of that era.

“It turned out that the text on 16 potsherds belong to a minimum of six authors, who did not need the help of scribes. Among the records were instructions to the deputy quartermaster of the fortress about the issue of provisions for a detachment of Greek mercenaries. The literacy of junior officers far from Jewish centers of culture indicates that Jews could read the sacred texts long before the Babylonian exile.”

My Comment: From the days of Abraham, comprehensive learning and education were practiced in his group, as well as reading of books written by him. The books from more ancient Kabbalists, from Adam to Abraham, as Rambam wrote, just didn’t reach us. But it indicates that in the period of the First Temple there was no uneducated child who did not know how to read and write and did not know all the sacred texts by heart.

When Was The Bible Written?

Laitman_137Comment: A group of scientists from Tel Aviv University examined the correspondence of the garrison force at the 600 BC Tel Arad fortress and concluded that the Bible was written several centuries earlier than has been believed until now.

As we all know, the Torah was written after the return from the exile in Babylon because there were not enough educated Jews who could write it. Now following this discovery scientists are re-examining when the Bible was written.

Answer: The first book about the wisdom of Kabbalah was written by Adam about 5,770 years ago. During the time between Adam and Abraham, there were several other writings by different Kabbalists. Abraham, as Rambam claims, wrote many Kabbalaistic books, but only one remained until our days, The Book of Creation. Abraham, who lived in ancient Babylon 3,500 years ago, gathered a group of people who became the nation of Israel with time. All the members of the group had to learn how to read and write. They spoke Hebrew because Hebrew and Aramaic were the languages spoken in ancient Babylon.

Abraham’s group was founded in order to attain the upper world in the connection between people. On this basis, they naturally understood the origin of the letters, the roots of the words, and felt the language of the branches, the upper attributes of the world, which have no names, called roots, and are named by their consequences in our world, which are called the branches.

Many books were written in the time between Abraham and Moses because all the Jews were highly educated from Abraham’s time onward. Since the exile in Egypt onward, the Jews left Egypt on a totally different level of consciousness and attainment because during their life in slavery they got to know their work in the ego. During the 40 years of wandering in the desert they began to write the Torah for all the nations.

It says that Moses taught his students along with his assistant Joshua. Moreover he taught all the people because the Levites engaged in the general education and teaching of the nation.

Question: How long did the writing of the Torah (Pentateuch) take?

Answer: The Torah was gradually created during the 40 years of wandering in the desert. Everything the nation of Israel underwent in practice took place internally in their spiritual roots, and they expressed this in the book called Moses’ Torah.

When they lived in the land of Israel after the building of the First Temple and then after the building of the Second Temple, they wrote all the other books including the “Prophets” (Naviim), the “Holy Scriptures” (Ketuvim), and the Mishna.

From the time the two temples were destroyed and before they were exiled, the Talmud was written, and all the other books were written while they were in exile.

The Torah says that there wasn’t a child from Dan to Beer Sheba who didn’t know the Jewish laws and who didn’t know how to read and write. They knew most of the books by heart because that was the ancient method of studying; students had to learn by heart what the teacher taught them.

Question: This means that there was never a break in literacy.

Answer: Since the time of Adam, in those circles where Kabbalists lived, there was almost universal literacy. Abraham eradicated illiteracy among the ancient Babylonians who joined him.

What Made People Spread All Over The Globe?

laitman_746_03In the news (openquaternary.com) : “The explanations for a rapid dispersal of modern humans after 100,000 BP remain enigmatic. Populations of modern humans took new routes – crossing significant topographic and environmental barriers, including making major sea crossings, and moving into and through risky and difficult environments. Neither population increase nor ecological changes provide an adequate explanation for a pattern of rapid movement, including leaping into new regions (saltation events). Here it is argued that the structural dynamics of emotionally complex collaboration and in depth moral commitments generates regular expulsion events of founding populations. These expulsion events provide an explanation for the as yet elusive element to dispersal. Alongside cognitive and cultural complexity we should recognise the influence of emerging emotional complexity on significant behavioural changes in the Palaeolithic.”

My Comment: Undoubtedly egoism grew in each and every generation, arousing more and more problems between fathers and sons and between a person and society. This required correction, meaning connection and unity in opposition to the egoism.

But since the wisdom of Kabbalah, the method for uniting above the ego, had not yet been revealed in those generations because of its smallness and the specific lack of the ability to determine individual egoism as evil, people preferred to stay away from each other to mitigate the hostility.

And only in ancient Babylon did egoism show itself as the only problem in humanity. But even then, only a small group of people accepted the method of unity above and against the ego and began to call themselves a people, not on the basis of their local origin, but freely chosen by them ideologically.

And in our time we must finally choose unity as the principle for a new society, specifically in contrast to the global egoism and the involuntary global connection between us. Balancing opposing tendencies is possible only when we elevate global connection above global hatred.
