Question: Currently, there are hundreds of approaches in management. They can be grouped into three schools: administrative scientific management, human relations management, and management as art, politics, and technology.

We see that modern society does not cope very effectively with many processes related to production and social issues.

How do you think it is possible in the current situation to develop the direction that we have designated as spiritual management based on the principles of Kabbalah? It can also be called eco-adaptive management, which deeply affects the issues of nature and interaction with the surrounding universe.

Answer: I agree that it is necessary to develop a new approach to management. This is an organizational approach that runs throughout the organization of a management group that brings together completely different specialists, different people. But the most important thing is that an integral relationship should arise between them.

They must become similar to integral nature we are now gradually discovering ourselves in, and therefore, we are entering a crisis with it, that is, in a contradiction. All nature is absolutely integral, like a small village. This is a fully interacting system, for example, like our body, if we consider it ideally where each cell and all together work to maintain it in the most optimal state.

We need to create such a collective of people who, in connection with each other, would be similar to this integral nature. And then they will be able to resolve any issues in a completely new form, first of all, managerial, but in principle, not only managerial. After all, such an interaction will appear between them that they represent a single organism and each of them and all together they suddenly feel themselves to be in an integral system.

Question: Where do desires come from and how do we determine which are small and which are big?

Answer: Desires fall on us from above, but you need to determine how to sort them. You need to be in an environment that will help you sort which desires are important and which are not. Everything depends on the society you are in.

Read the article “The Freedom” by Baal HaSulam about the importance of the society you connect to. It is actually the environment that determines your fate, your future.

If you get in the right environment, listen to what is being said in it, and become imbued by their ideas, these ideas gradually become yours and you begin to move forward in that direction.

So, from all your desires you take the desires that are most important to advance in this direction, add your thoughts to them, your mind, and thus develop correctly.

Question: What is the main thing in studying the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: The main thing in studying the wisdom of Kabbalah is to attend every daily lesson. This is a prerequisite, but it is not enough.

In addition to that, we need to be fully connected in the group so that the group will be as one man and will constantly try to be united to each other internally, mentally, and emotionally in order to reveal the Creator in the one common heart!

If they cannot do it, they must ask the Creator to help them and to connect them this way. They don’t need anything other than that!

However, there is a special role to the thought: it intensifies the desire. This means that its role isn’t simply to fulfill the desire but to increase it even more.

The desire remains in its place; it does not have the strength to expand and to perform its action. Yet, because one thinks and contemplates on the matter, and the desire asks of the thought to provide some counsel and advice to carry out the desire, the desire thus grows, expands and performs its actual work. (Baal HaSulam, Shamati 153, “A Thought Is an Upshot Of The Desire”)

Suppose I have some small desire. If I concentrate my thoughts and my attention on it more and more, this desire will eventually rule me, determine my actions, and become obsessive; I will only think about how to fulfill it.

What is more, we need our thoughts not just in order to fulfill our desire, but also in order to sort them out, and choose those we think are essential and thus raise them even higher until I reach a state in which my only thought is: when will I be able to fulfill it and to get an answer to it, a filling?

It turns out that the thought serves the desire, and the desire is the “self” of a person. Now, there is a great self or a small self. A great self dominates the small selves.

It doesn’t simply dominate them, but it can also absorb them. Small desires can even disappear under the influence of a great desire. After all, we cannot feel many desires at once. We feel a certain great desire and all the others seemingly disappear from our sight.

The advice to magnify the self is through the persisting with the thought of the desire.

Suppose you have several desires in life: to make a lot of money, to travel the world, to get married, whatever, these are normal human desires.

Alongside these desires there are other desires about the meaning of life, the wisdom of Kabbalah, and you can manage them the more you read and know. Then you will develop inside you more thoughts about the wisdom of Kabbalah, and to this extent you will suddenly feel that all your ordinary desires become secondary in priority while the thought of attaining the meaning of life becomes the leading and most dominant thought. This is how it works.

A person can sort his desires, manage them, focus and guide himself by his thoughts. This is the reason that there is a thought and a desire. We can thus change ourselves by thinking more about one thing and less about another, by having a greater desire for one thing and a smaller desire for another, etc. But we need to control this and thus manage our future, our fate.

Since the thought grows to the extent that one thinks of it. And so, “in His law doth he meditate day and night,” for by persisting in it, it grows into a great self, until it becomes the actual ruler.

Therefore, it is said a person should constantly practice Kabbalah because from such a constant effort of thought, he will increase his spiritual desire so much that it will prevail over all things.

What does such decisive advice to engage in the wisdom of Kabbalah come down to? You should contemplate and think about the meaning of life, about who and how your are managed, how you can begin to manage yourself on your own, and how you can discover the right and most correct, convenient directions in your life. Thus, you get rid of any unnecessary desires, while the desires that determine your fate will become more important to you.

Answer: No, he did not. In fact, this is not that important.

What is our life given for? What can I exchange it for? On what scales should it be placed? How should it be measured? With what to fill it in order to squeeze it out like a rag and get the dry residue?

I believe that if there is only one valuable science, and such a one with which you can lead people to eternity and perfection, then there is no need to preoccupy yourself with anything else. Only earn a living, and give everything else to the attainment of the upper world and attracting others to it.

As America celebrates its 245th Independence Day, the United States faces two serious threats: the Covid-19 pandemic and its recent Delta variant and record-breaking extreme heat waves in North America. On this important occasion I wish for America to overcome its challenges by building a safer nation that is resistant to all the phenomena from nature and the polarization within society. They need to properly realize their power and make good changes within the country if they want to thrive.

North America is boiling, literally. The traditional 4th of July fireworks displays have been postponed or canceled in certain locales due to heat indices and drought conditions. There are also recommendations to stay indoors. In Portland and Seattle, temperatures reached a record high of 116 degrees Fahrenheit. Health authorities in British Columbia, Canada also reported unbearable temperatures that caused the deaths of at least 700 Canadians.

We should not conceive these blows in North America as punishment. For instance, I do not see Americans as the worst people that have made terrible mistakes or committed some injustices that made them deserve this. It is natural for the whole continent and, actually, the whole world to experience extreme weather.

The world has been evolving and has now reached a new stage of development, a completely different level; humanity must fully recognize the unity of nature as a holistic system, one whole. We need to comprehend that the state of nature depends on the relationships between human beings, the highest level in the pyramid of nature, which influences the rest of the system: inanimate, vegetative, animate, and human itself.

Therefore, if we try to build a balanced system of human relations, all of nature will calm down. The comprehensive solution to the ecological and social dangers we face lies in efforts toward global connection in which we will feel how dependent we are on everyone. Therefore, we will think twice before engaging in any ill-treatment of anyone else.

So how do blows help us advance? Americans are so proud of their independence, more than and above all other countries, and now they are entering the process of testing their own independence, their values, what they are independent from, and what is worth dreaming of. I think it is the beginning of a long and extraordinarily special learning process that will be accelerated by the current political scenario in America where the heat waves are burning the social cohesion.

America has built a strong and prosperous country with a good infrastructure and know-how on how to use money well. But can they still use everything they have built rationally? I am not quite sure, I am very worried about their future. They need to do more to abstain from political divisions and to think about how to build a stable society otherwise they will not be able to successfully face the threats from natural phenomena and internal explosions from various factions within their society. There are many countries in the world waiting for America to reach an internal boiling point and explodes. This sounds like bad news, but it is actually good news because America now has an opportunity to revive with a new awakening, and real chance to reach a true Independence! I wish you success!

The coronavirus will inevitably return. We did not draw the correct conclusions from the first wave of the pandemic, and the second wave will come. All that we understood from the first wave is that we should stay at home, and if we go out, we should wear a mask and keep distance between us. And of course, this is not enough to correct our state.

Therefore, I initially did not expect the coronavirus to disappear quickly. This was only the first wave and a second would come after it, and it is already happening. Not just a repetition of the wave, but new mutations of the virus from a new source. And closer to winter, I think there will be a third wave.

It is very possible that these waves will come with great frequency, time after time, to teach us that we need to finally do something with ourselves. Otherwise, the virus will disconnect us from the normal life we had before. We will have to change the whole routine of life, the economy, industry, forms of work, child care, and forms of communication and interaction.

The virus affects everything because our whole world is built on the connection between people. The pandemic is striking precisely this connection between us. We will now begin to feel more and more how much of a qualitative disturbance this blockage of connection is. The pandemic does not allow us to communicate even with masks on.

The virus will mutate to such an extent that vaccinations will stop working so that we will start thinking about what should the nature of the vaccination be, what it should do, and how we should prepare ourselves so as to not undergo heavy blows. We need to start getting smarter!

The waves of the pandemic are like the Egyptian plagues that push us to rise above our egoism, to get out from the power of the Pharaoh. Is this the direction of our actions, thoughts, and conversations? Do we realize that the coronavirus is the same plague that the people of Israel experienced in Egypt: blood, frogs, lice, and everything else? We have to go through all this, but in a different form.

You can try to close borders so the virus does not penetrate from the outside, but this will not help because the Creator still implements His upper program. The virus will not disappear and will not leave us, because it has not caused any changes within us so far. And so it will have to beat the people of Israel and the whole world again and again.

Israel can by its internal correction cure itself and the whole world of the pandemic by serving as the medicine for the entire human society. If the Jews start treating each other correctly, the pandemic will disappear all over the world, and all of humanity will be cured.

Look what is happening: the Creator is allowing us to almost eliminate the pandemic, but as soon as we breathe a sigh of relief and take off our masks, it suddenly returns with a new force. This is to show us that nothing has gone away, and we have learned nothing from the last wave. Therefore, after a temporary abatement, it returns again.

We needed this respite to distinguish the second blow from the first one and understand that we did nothing. If the pandemic just continued, it would be one blow from which we would learn nothing.

Why were there ten plagues in Egypt? Was one not enough? The Passover Haggadah says that the people of Israel received four hundred blows, one hundred, two hundred, three hundred.

We are at the stage of the final correction when all evil must be revealed. However, in what form it will be revealed depends on us, on our desire to receive the force of correction.

The shortest, ideal way is to turn to the Creator and ask him for the force of connection. We must be connected together as in the corrected system of Adam HaRishon. However, there is no way we can reach such a connection except with the help of the upper force that would influence us and make it possible to connect with each other and all of us together with the Creator.

We have no other choice. Otherwise, we will receive blow after blow. The people of Israel are able to hear this because they have a point in the heart and the heart is the place where this information is received.

The coronavirus binds us. It is like a symbol of our egoistic connection. Therefore, it passes from person to person and manifests itself egoistically in order to eventually teach us how to change the relationships between us.
