Humanity Is Leaving The Womb

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from RH Reality Check): “Focusing on finding ways to save premature babies, Japanese professor Dr. Yoshinori Kuwabara of Juntendo University, has successfully gestated goat embryos in a machine that holds amniotic fluid in tanks.  On the other end of the process focusing on helping women unable to conceive and gestate babies, is Dr. Helen Hung-Ching Liu, Director of the Reproductive Endocrine Laboratory at the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility at Cornell University. Quietly, in 2003, she and her team succeeded in growing a mouse embryo, almost to full term, by adding engineered endometrium tissue to a bio-engineered, extra-uterine ‘scaffold.’ More recently, she grew a human embryo, for ten days in an artificial womb. Her work is limited by legislation that imposes a 14-day limit on research project of this nature.  As complicated as it is, her goal is a functioning external womb.”

My Comment: As long as we have not reached the intention to do everything for the sake of the whole of humanity, above our egoism, all we do brings us to the deepening of the crisis and increased suffering.

Correction Through The Method Of Justification

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: How should we choose between the Nefesh de Kedusha (holy soul) and the Nefesh de Klipa  (impure soul) that the Creator gives us in every state?

Answer: In every state, I need to say that I am found half in Kedusha (sanctity) and half in Klipa (impurity) and choose between them, as it is written: “A person should always see himself as if he is half innocent and half guilty, and decide between them.” This means that I am always free to determine my attitude towards the state I am in.

I don’t change the states; I cannot change the Reshimot (informational genes). I am not the master of the Light. It is within my power only to change my attitude to the current state.

I don’t work with the forces of Klipa and Kedusha. Everything depends only on what attracts me in the present situation, either the side of bestowal or the side of reception. In creation, we become partners with the Creator in order to justify Him.

But this is enough, for this justification opens my eyes to the degree that I unite with the Creator with the right perception, manner, program, depth, and goal of His actions that are opened to me. This is called revelation of the Creator.

Revelation of the Creator gives me the power to justify Him in the present state, in all previous states, and in the next states, regarding each and every one in reality, according to all parts of the shattered Kli. And so I am called Tzadik Gamor (completely righteous).

The completion of correction (Gmar Tikkun) is the complete justification of the Creator in all of His activities with all of the creatures.

Question: So why doesn’t a person reach the completion of correction when he succeeds for the first time in reaching such a point of justification of the Creator?

Answer: Because I will have many points like these on the way. I need to go through them all, one after the other, because only in this gradual and consistent way, can I recognize the Creator. To justify means that I know, understand, and feel all of the reasons, actions, and results of the work that the Light performs on the Kelim. And then “From your deeds we shall know you,” meaning that I recognize and understand Him, and discover that He and His actions are perfect.

Pharaoh Turns The Animal Into A Human Being

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: Who helps a person along the way, the Creator or Pharaoh?

Answer: It’s the same thing. I have to relate to these two forces in the same manner and not prefer one over the other but remain in the middle line.

Pharaoh helps me and the Creator helps me. I escape from Pharaoh to the Creator in order to get help, but, at the same time, I should appreciate Pharaoh and see him as the force without which I would have no connection with the Creator.

I have a small animal desire to enjoy. If the Pharaoh would not strike me, and he gives me spiritual blows, then I would not run to the Creator to ask Him for help, to look for protection. Then Pharaoh strikes me again and again, and I need the Creator again. If Pharaoh doesn’t do anything and doesn’t hit me, I fall into the animal, corporeal existence. It’s impossible without Pharaoh because without him I do not want advance anywhere.

It was the same with Mordecai. If Haman hadn’t been revealed, Mordecai would have sat quietly at the King’s gate. The Creator wanted to raise Mordecai, and therefore He raised Haman, as it says in the Megillah.

Increasingly Clearer Lines Of Bestowal

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: What does it mean to ask the friends for help?

Answer: Help can only come in the direction of connection, when everyone yearns to attain a connection in which there is maximal mutual bestowal upon one another for the sake of revealing of the Creator. We try to create more and more connections between us by trying this or that and the Egyptians help us by showing us which connection is right and which is not. They show us our mistakes, the places where we did not connect correctly and did not achieve mutual benefit.

Thus, they help us advance, and it is called that Pharaoh brought the children of Israel to the Creator. Thus we constantly search for what the true attribute of bestowal should be. We cannot discover it, but we appeal by requests, prayers, cries, by clarifying things between us and the Creator until we finally understand it.

But we have to find it by ourselves. There is help, an illumination from Above, according to our exertion. But we cannot receive this revelation for free, since we would not feel anything then. It has to be the result of our efforts, our searching, and our requests. Everything has to start from our inner impulse, from an awakening from below. If we connect with others in a way that matches the first revelation, then it happens and brings us to redemption.

We have to look for the next form of bestowal that is more and more advanced each time in order to find the Creator in a clear, illuminated, and more outstanding way. The Creator’s form is actually us. The form of bestowal that we discover among us is the Light. Now we don’t see or feel it but later the Light will sustain us.

In this Light we discover the thought of creation, the attributes of the upper. Thus we build the infrastructure for His revelation which is called Divinity. The form of bestowal with its mission is called Creator. The Creator is dressed in the created being. The created being is the spiritual Partzuf that is built as a result of the connection between us. Therefore it says that we make the Creator that is called Bo-re (come and see).

Question: So where is the request for help from the friends here?

Answer: The request should be mutual. This is called mutual guarantee. It has to be incorporated in mutual bestowal. Everything is aimed at one direction. Mutual guarantee is the common efforts to attain the Creator’s form and His attributes.

The Bottleneck

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: How can we balance the study, the dissemination, and our ordinary life in the family and at work correctly?

Answer: We always feel pressure in every direction: The family demands that we spend all our time with it, at work, we have to make great efforts in what we do. But we always have to choose what is most important.

Everything depends on importance. There are people who can dedicate more time to the study and to dissemination, and others have less time. There are those who say that nothing depends on them, and others do everything possible for their spiritual development since otherwise their life will come to nothing. One thing depends on another, on the importance of the spiritual development that is established in the group.

We are living in a very special time, and we can see this in the way the world develops and the changes in it, and even by the changes in the climate. So, we have to consider how we make decisions and how much the world depends on us.

The Bottleneck
If we don’t convey the Light that Reforms to the world, it will be our fault. This is the mission of the Jews, of Israel. Israel means Yashar-El (straight to the Creator), and it is a conductor, an adapter. If we don’t convey the upper Light down to the entire world, we create a problem.

We must be the conductor and even the amplifier of the Light by our good work. Besides, we have to arrange the Light correctly by pouring it to the world through us like through a funnel so that it will be soft and smooth, and at the right angle. Our adaptor is rather complicated, and it has ten Sefirot.

However, if we don’t do all that and don’t adapt the Light correctly, we cannot connect and adapt the created beings, the entire world, to the Creator. First, we have to correct ourselves, and that is the reason that we feel pressure. The world is putting great negative pressure on us in the form of hatred and anti-Semitism.

There is also pressure from Above since we are like a bottleneck through which the Light and the abundance must pour unto those below. Therefore, we are in a special time and can advance seriously and powerfully. However, on the other hand, we also can lose everything.

In Neutral Gear

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: What changes after crossing the Machsom (barrier)? If I didn’t have an income, does it suddenly appear after the Machsom?

Answer: It doesn’t appear. Nothing changes after the Machsom except for the authority that rules over you. You agree with all that is happening, and this means that you rise to the vessels of bestowal. And so your world becomes the spiritual world.

Question: So why does Baal HaSulam write that after the Machsom the whole world seems good, the sick become healthy, and the poor become rich?

Answer: Baal HaSulam writes about this in the article “The Creator’s Concealment and Revelation.” It’s because I change my properties and that is how I see things. Nothing is changed except for my perception.

I take off my glasses, look around, and see that everything is terribly vague and blurry. After that, I put the glasses on and see a nice, wonderful world. I correct only myself, and through my corrected vision, intellect, and sensation I suddenly see that I am in Malchut of Infinity.

This material world doesn’t exist. Everything is absolutely perfect. And it wasn’t like this before? Certainly it was, only I didn’t see it. The whole world is within me.

But this world with its stores and the need to get bread by the sweat of our brows will remain until the last stage of the end of correction. This is because it’s impossible to correct even the highest level if this world doesn’t exist. For this, there must be a whole Partzuf, from end to end.

Afterwards, this world will disappear since in the entire system, the whole integral correction will be finished and matter will no longer remain in the sensation of this physical level. Even before this, we already begin to lose its Aviut (thickness).

We need this world so that by existing outside of spirituality, outside of the truth, we can enter the true world through our free choice and climb the spiritual ladder. But this world is imaginary, it exists like in a dream only for us to switch, like from neutral gear to the spiritual gear.

Who Directs The Puppet?

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: When a person discovers that he is completely dominated by his desire to receive and that he is simply a puppet that has no free choice, what must he do with this?

Answer: It is revealed to you that your feet and hands are tied and you have no free choice about anything. You cannot even look around.

You have no freedom of movement: not in thought and not in desire. All of your cells, all of your systems, your entire brain and heart are under the control of a foreign force. Only one thought in which you understand your servitude comes to you in particular so that you can escape to freedom, if you want it.

For this you need to accept this control voluntarily. This is the difference between Pharaoh and the Creator. The Creator arranges learning for you so that you will see that all of the desires sent to you are bad until you agree with them. But the moment you agree with them, they become good. In that way you go out from servitude to freedom.

Everything depends upon how you accept the upper governance: like the control of Pharaoh or of the Creator.

Restriction And The Screen

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: How can I reduce the time? Do I need to renounce my desire to receive completely? Will I then be able to reach bestowal even within half a year?

Answer: I don’t need to renounce my desire to receive, but I see that it harms me. And if I do renounce my egoism, it is not because it brings me suffering.

If I stop smoking because smoking is bad for my health, this indeed doesn’t mean that through this action I will reach bestowal and enter spirituality. If I do this in order to avoid blows, this is not called bestowal and spiritual advancement. Fleeing from blows is not the right action. It is necessary to understand that these are not blows, but mercy, and I need to feel that this is so.

My actions shouldn’t originate from the desire to receive that feels good or bad, but from the desire to bestow that wants to feel what is good or bad for the Creator. I must determine things according to this. This is called a Masach (screen).

A Masach indicates that I am directed towards the Creator and take Him into account, paying no attention to myself at all—I don’t exist! I am directed only towards Him. To make a Tzimtzum (restriction) means that from this moment on, I will not take my desires, thoughts, and inclinations into account, but will use all of this only to bestow to the Creator.

He is the goal. For me, all of His characteristics and desires are my vessel, and I use myself only to fulfill Him. This means that I use all that I have, but evaluate bad and good only relative to Him, within Him.

It’s all about Him. I feel His desires, fulfillments, deficiencies, and problems. After this I consider how I can realize what He lacks. This is just like a mother who is naturally and instinctively devoted to her infant.
