The Formula Of The Correction: A Circle – A Line – A Circle

As a result of all the corrections, we have to return to the form of a circle, as was created by the Creator in the world of Ein Sof (Infinity). But this can only be done by a multitude of lines, which means restrictions of the desire to receive, Masachim (screens) and Zivug de Haka’a.

The direct line is justice; pay and you will receive! Circles are like a mother that is ready to give us everything that she has: take whatever you want.

But the circles that we yearn for after the correction are such great number of straight lines that it takes on the form of a circle. If there are no limitations on my desire and it is fully corrected, I become a circle, the one who bestows equally, “I am for my beloved and my beloved is for me.”

Of course, our ego is a circle and this circle is corrupt. It wants to enjoy everything it sees without any limitations and accounts. We have to bring it to the form of a corrected circle so that it will be totally in order to bestow, above any accounts. Its correction is fulfilled by a line. We restrict our desire and limit it by a Masach. It is the Masach that turns the circle into a line, since it limits the circle and arranges it according to a certain order and a certain account.

If it weren’t for the Masach, the vessels would remain circles, like the Light that created them. After the restrictions, however, we say no to unlimited receiving and are willing to receive only according to a certain ration, a certain account, a certain agreement. The Creator is not involved in that.

By restricting yourself, you seem to say to the Creator: “Wait, please give me time to manage my desire to receive. I want to fix it. The moment I fix it we will connect. Please don’t interrupt me, just help me when I ask for Your help.” If I don’t do that, I will feel shame, and if I do that I will be worthy, and I will be independent.

Work in a straight line means working according to justice. This is determined by how much I can place the group in contrast to my desire to receive, so that by the help of the group I will draw the Light that Reforms and ask the Creator for help. Direct line is working with the Masach, according to my ability to overcome shame and turn it into respect, according to an account of how much a person can use his nature and the Creator’s nature,

Question: An ordinary line connects points, what does this line connect?

Answer: This line connects the desire to receive with the Light through the Masach. Thus, the circle of “in order to receive” turns into a circle of “in order to bestow.” The corrected circle is created by multiplying the number of lines until Ein Sof. If we find even a grain of a “desire to receive,” we turn it into a line.

It turns out that such an infinite amount of lines becomes a circle. Receiving in order to bestow infinitely is also called circles. Thus we return to the world of Ein Sof. We can turn our desire to receive into lines except for the heart of stone that will be corrected by all our efforts all at once at the end. This is according to the condition of: “He swallowed an army and shall vomit it.”

The World Is Making A Transition From Reception To Bestowal

Our world is becoming more and more “round”; this means that the collective mutual link between everyone is being discovered; everyone influences everyone.

Ten thousand years ago you would have attacked your neighbor, you would have killed and eaten him. Five thousand years later you would have already stopped killing the neighbors, rather you would have understood that it was better to enslave them.

Another few thousand years passed and you would have attacked your neighbor and made him a worker since a slave was no longer worthwhile. Everything is established according to what is useful to the desire to receive. But today things are no longer the way they used to be. If you were to attack someone and conquer him today, you would begin to feed him and be concerned for him. Therefore, in our times wars are not worthwhile.

We see how the world, without understanding on its own, is gradually transitioning entirely from reception to bestowal! All of our systems (economics, health, and so forth) must transform to be more “round”; we have no other choice. Governments are compelled to distribute money to their people so that everyone will have something to eat. Nations have now transformed into social security institutions and welfare bureaus. Whether it wants to or not, every nation must transform into a system that is primarily concerned about its ordinary citizens.

All this is a result that we are approaching “circles,” spherical vessels. Otherwise we cannot exist in conditions like these. But in this kind of form we will not be released from problems because these changes are made from above, from the government, by the circles. We must do this from below, through correction by the person, through the “straight line.”

The way of correction from above is a long way of “recognition of evil.” As much as this seems nice to us today, that a nation is concerned for its citizens so that everyone will get all that they require, in the end, this will bring immense destruction. Ultimately, we must discover that we must begin correction from below. There must be bestowal from the side of the person below, therefore, we must turn to the most failed strata, take care of them, and bring to them the method of correction.

“Circles” is the discovery of the higher power, the Upper Light, the upper Kli. And these become a great threat over us. All the forces of nature are revealed in the form of a circular shape. A person must work in the form of a straight line.

A tsunami wave that comes doesn’t take into account if you are a good or a bad person, rich or poor, instead it wipes out everything in its path. That is how the circles work. And we must become a straight line. Though the straight line is opposite the circle, when it becomes the bestower, it actually fills the circles. With this we transform ourselves into a force that fills the Creator. The guest must fill the host, just as the host wants to fill the guest. This is what is called reaching adherence through equivalence of form and equivalence of deeds.

A Wonderful View From The Upper Floor

“Circles” are bestowals that arrive from above. But when this bestowal comes to us, to the desire to receive, which is not equivalent to its form and is unable to accommodate its characteristics, then it is perceived by us as something bad. It is like when your mother forces you to do something that you don’t want to. She is bestowing good to you, but it seems as if it is something bad.

Our role is to pass through so many “lines,” so many capillaries in our collective body, that we will reach each and every cell. Every living body works like this. All of creation, the still, vegetative, and animate exist in complete and wondrous harmony between “circles” and “lines.” We only need to correct a person’s attitude.

And this correction must begin from below, from the lowest strata. We see that changes have already begun from above, the governments will be obligated to make “circles” for the distribution of benefits to everyone, like social security, and so forth. But all this comes from above in the form of “circles”—as in the upper worlds, so also in our world. A corrected nation is one that somehow organizes its work in the form of a circle regarding the people.

Therefore, we need to begin integral education from the lowest strata. First of all, this is because they suffer more than everyone, and improving their condition is possible only though the Light that Reforms. They have nothing else to rely on, and therefore we can reach them.

Besides this, correction must be from below to above, from the smallest and simplest deficiencies and desires, which begin to be linked in the form of a circle. When I am linked with a group of ten, with my group, then I fill it with this. The group, which transforms into a complete unit, a “1,” rises to a higher level, to a new qualitative level, and begins to work as a line in the circle that exists on a higher level.

We always rise like this. A circle that is constructed by us on a lower level is equivalent to a direct one at the next stage. That is how we rise all the time, by transforming the line into a circle.

At the moment that we begin to be linked to a circle, we reach wholeness and receive bestowal, the Light. We don’t lack anything. As Baal HaSulam writes in the article, “The Creator’s Concealment and Revelation,” a person sees friends suffering from diseases of poverty, and after correction he suddenly sees that they are all successful, healthy, and rich. A change like this takes place at the time of ascent to a new level, a new state.

We do not understand how this is possible, but it will happen. There is no other way to correct the world except to correct the perception. Infinite bestowal exists in the world, we only need to ascend and see the entire world from a higher level. Don’t try to make some kind of change or correction to the world on your level, this will not help. The more you invest, the more you will suffer and lose.

Belonging To The Absolute Truth

Question: How do we feel the Creator? Is there a feeling of gratitude that He created us or something else?

Answer: If you have no spiritual vessels, then there is no sensation of the Creator, and it is impossible to explain this.

The sensation of the Creator is a feeling of belonging to the absolute truth, beyond all doubts, above your problems, and separate from all your petty calculations! You discover an “absolute” perfection. And this perfection is beyond all of your previous estimations.

Question: Does it follow that this feeling is detached from my connection with the friends?

Answer: On one hand, this is detached, and on the other hand, in spite of it all, through a link with the friends, you feel a slight touch of the sensation of the Creator. As it is said, “Exodus 33:23”: “And you will see My back, but My face shall not be seen.” But you can already guess that this is something beyond your Kelim, beyond your properties. So the question is: How is it possible to evaluate something beyond my Kelim? But this is how the Ohr Makif (Surrounding Light), the Achoraim de Elyon is revealed.

But essentially, this is the middle line, without it, without this momentary contact with the Creator, all of your attainments are not worth anything. Even if we were to attain total peace and the Garden of Eden on the face of the Earth and everything were to seem wonderful, this entire idyll is worth nothing. For in the end, we need to attain some kind of affiliation with the upper force that is beyond us.

This is like an electric wire that is only required to reveal the electricity. The electricity doesn’t “flow” through the wire; rather, it is passed around the wire as the energy of an electromagnetic field; that is, the energy passes next to the wire and not within it. And the wire is so that the energy can be revealed next to it. That is how it also is with the friends; this is the material through which the Creator must be revealed.

Question: In the modern era we must put ourselves in line with the wishes of the wide audience, whereas before, students had to become similar in qualities with their teacher. How is this combined?

Answer: We reveal the Creator in the center of the group. In our relations, we are the upper, and He is the upper above the upper. And besides that, outside of us, there is a wide audience—the lower, the people or humanity.

Accordingly, we (Bnei Baruch – BB) must apply joint efforts together in work between ourselves, as well as to address the outer circles, adapting ourselves according to them.

To do this, we split into two parts: the seven lower Sefirot (ZAT) and the three higher (GAR), and we represent Bina and take the appropriate form at the top and at the bottom.

The Light Emerges In Darkness

Baal HaSulam “The Teaching of Kabbalah and Its Essence”: All the worlds and everything that fills them in their every detail emerged from the Creator in one, unique, and unified thought. And the thought alone cascaded and created all the many worlds, the creations, and their conducts, as explained in “The Tree of Life” and in the Tikkunei Zohar.

“Thought” is the force that descends and acts in its derivative. The power of the thought forms the “material” of the desire and then acts in it, imprints itself in various forms. The desire accepts these “imprints” and changes accordingly.

The material of the desire inevitably passes through a series of changes in which we feel they come from a certain thought. Thus, the thought enters the desire, the mind enters the heart. And then the desire thinks: “What do I want? Why? What motivates me?”

Entering the desire, the thought “corrupts,” changes it, until it becomes aware: “There I am, and there is the preceding thought that created and changes me. This means that it is better for me to join it. Let me have my thought through which I control the desire, rule it, instead of it controlling my calculations.” Indeed, while the desire dominates, our life is determined by the requirements of the body, so isn’t it better to entrust the management to the head, the mind?

Kabbalists discovered that nearly six thousand years ago, and then during the three periods, two thousand years each, the Lights were entering the vessels, the thought entered the desire. And today, all of humanity, everyone’s common desire discovers and realizes the result of this process, “What is happening to us?” The situation is bad; we suffer, live in a lie, not knowing the reasons, not finding solutions… Why?

Thus, the thought inspects the desire and the states, “it is guilty of what is happening. Apparently, it has to be managed differently.” And gradually, we are approaching the point of this solution: Will the thought manage the desire or the desire manages the thought? This is our choice.

Question: However, the thought and desire inherent in us are opposite to the Creator. Our thoughts are opposite to the plan of creation

Answer: True, otherwise we would not be able to know Him. We must know the truth, and this is only possible from lies. Everything is conceived only from its opposite. We need bitter to know sweet and darkness to know light because the darkness is opposite to the light; otherwise, you could not recognize anything. You need a measuring point that is outside of the measured properties, a benchmark against the calculations that are made.

We are vessels, desires, and only in this way can we measure, feel, and understand something by comparing the two opposites. The Creator is united, and we are not. We need a comparison; otherwise, we seem to float in a vacuum devoid of any landmarks without a sense of direction.

Moreover, if we were put in a special liquid with special conditions, with the same gravity as our body, then we would stop feeling it.

The same thing can be done with our consciousness; if it is free from polar orientations, then we lose a sense of our self, our existence, because we are unable to feel the opposites.

So, as the created beings, we can measure and evaluate ourselves only by contrast. In Kabbalah, it is said that the advantage of the light is known from darkness. Thus, you will not reach perfection if you have not passed through all the troubles of the world, through its “underworld,” the opposite side of the “Garden of Eden.” But you can know this “kingdom of darkness,” like a wise man, who still in darkness, sees the emerging dawn.

However, the question arises: If today I see perfection from afar but I do not feel it in my vessels, then what will happen tomorrow? I do not agree to “look at the paradise through binoculars,” I want to enter its gates.

That is why there is a need for the breaking and its subsequent correction. It is enough if we feel the gap between us slightly, and then the rest we will get from the group in the finished form.

Protection, So You Won’t Burn

Question: Why does a person go through such difficult states that show how low and distant one is from spirituality, yet we are still required to be happy?

Answer: A person isn’t shown more than he can bear. If he were shown his real state, he would simply burn like in a short circuit. So we are constantly held between certain limits, between two points, so that a person will be able to bear it. It is like a fuse that burns when the current is too strong. As long as the current is normal, it transmits it. Its role is to hold on until a critical situation occurs and then it burns out, but it keeps the system intact.

Everything has a certain limit, and so from above, a person is gradually shown the AHP of the upper level, its posterior. If he is suitable for it as a result of his own exertion, then he is ready to ascend to the next level.

The West Pays For The Destruction Of The USSR

Opinion (Sergei V. Lukyanenko, science-fiction writer, author of Night Watch and Day Watch): “In the competition between the USSR and the capitalist world, the USSR at the beginning had two trump cards: internationalism and social equality. By discarding belief in God, national patriotism, competition – only by these two ideas ‘internationalism and social equality,’ the Soviet Union waged competition with the world and even was a leader in some moments.

“The fact is that ‘internationalism and social equality’ appeal directly to the human desire for justice, equality, brotherhood.

“The USSR could be destroyed only in the following ways:

– By distorting their ideas in the USSR, what the Soviet government did,

– By demonstrating that the capitalism in the ‘West’ is also capable of internationalism and social justice (providing for the unemployed and education for the poor) – this was done in the ‘West’ by introducing a system of free healthcare, social assistance, free and accessible education, equality of nationalities and races.

“After that, the Soviet Union was doomed because in the stimulation of production, productivity, flexibility of production and trade the benefits of the capitalist system are obvious.

“But the mechanisms that are running ‘in the West’ continue to work: by letting millions of immigrants and giving them citizenship, it is impossible to return to nationalism without shocks. It is also necessary to recognize the freedom of belief and equality of religions.

“Creating a system of social assistance to the poor, countries have to put up with millions living on welfare and demanding everything from the state. Having declared the equality of sexual minorities, it is ridiculous not to expect that this will finish Christianity, disintegrate society, destroy the foundations of Euro-American civilization.

“’In the West,’ it is still possible to change back to the past – but only by rejecting ‘internationalism’ and ‘social equality,’ but this would lead to such unpredictable shocks, for which the West is not ready. So, the boomerang sent by the West returns after hitting the target, the USSR, and I see some deep justice.”

My Comment: The alternate recognition of evil in a capitalist and socialist state, which both the West and the East must go through, will lead them to the need to work together to solve the problem not of coexistence, but existence in general, and will bring them together in opposition to the South …
