My Comment: Well, actually according to Kabbalah, UFOs (alien intelligence) don’t exist. What Obama’s PR team had in mind was probably more like this: “The eyes of the entire Universe are on America!”

In the News (from FOX News): President Barack Obama’s first public act in office was to institute new limits on lobbyists in his White House and to freeze the salaries of high-paid aides, in a nod to the country’s economic turmoil. The pay freeze would hold salaries at their current levels for the roughly 100 White House employees who make over $100,000 a year.

My Comment: Such solidarity must be universal and equal; then it will lead to Arvut (mutual guarantee) and draw the force of correction, the Upper Light. As soon as even one move is made in this direction, the crisis will be over.

My Comment: Man has no right to interfere with Nature. We can only consume and take from Nature that which is necessary for our existence, without changing anything in It. This is the only way for us to preserve our natural environment and stay in harmony with it.

However, man’s egoism rapidly grows and at times, bursts out, bringing us to greater and greater opposition to all of Nature, because Nature is altruistic. As a result, we also end up with a conflict within all of human society and even within ourselves. Because man is the only egoistic creature, he is the only one that opposes the general harmony of Nature.

Another example of our proprietary attitude is the ambitious activists who try to “fix” the world. They should instead think about the need to correct humanity (see Baal HaSulam’s article, “Peace in the World”).

Man’s attitude of neglect and superiority with regard to Nature, together with his lack of understanding of his predestination and the meaning of life, man’s desire to rule over and own Nature, is inevitably leading mankind to extinction!

My Comment: On the contrary, the crisis is no one’s fault, because it is the expression of humanity’s disharmony with the upcoming, global level of development. So, instead of looking for someone to blame, we should view the crisis as an invitation to change.

By analyzing this crisis, we can discover all our shortcomings. We can see what is wrong with us now by comparing ourselves to “how we should be.” Then, by correcting ourselves accordingly, we will come out of the crisis and create a new, better civilization.

The crisis will sweep away everything from the past: all the outdated social connections, cultures, religions, and financial or trade relationships. The world that will emerge will be opposite to the one we now have.

My Comment: Desire is the matter of all creation, including us. Our entire essence is the will to fulfill our desire. We want to fulfill it by any means possible and as much as possible.

In times of crisis, people’s desires change, as do the sources of fulfillment for the desires. Since people can’t get the fulfillment they desire, they go back to the most natural sources of fulfillment – love and sex.

However, nowadays even this won’t make people feel fulfilled because our desires are transforming into a global desire, which can only be fulfilled when everyone will unite into a single whole.
