Things Will Be Bad. Very Bad!

Things Will Be Bad. Very Bad!“Things will be bad. Very bad!” These are the opening words of a front page article in Haaretz, an Israeli newspaper for intellectuals, businessmen and politicians, read by the upper, educated class of the Israeli society. The basis for this statement is the widely recognized situation in the financial world.

My Response: According to the science of Kabbalah, finances are the basis of humanity’s entire egoistic activity; they are the value, the measurement and the means to compare all connections and powers in a human society. Nature operates us in our physical desires (i.e. those that our bodies demand): food, sex, and family. As egoism evolved, social desires emerged: wealth, power, fame, and knowledge. In other words, all of our social relations are based on and measured by wealth (money, finances). We can’t imagine what our lives would be like if this common value were to be disrupted. However, one day we will have no choice but to replace it with a different value: everyone working for the benefit of others, and in return, receiving a normal life in the body, and unity with the Creator in spirit. Such a transformation cannot be accomplished with our own strength, but only through a comprehensible revelation of the Creator.

Nature shows us the harmony that prevails in it and the complete bond that exists between all of its parts. Human society must become just like that.
The idea of collective awareness must be willingly accepted by everyone. And for this reason, there is yet much suffering that will hit the world, and there is no easier path to maturity than the path of Kabbalah.

The UN – a Stronghold of Anti-Semitism

The UN - a Stronghold of Anti-SemitismReport: Anti-Semitism, Anti-Zionism and hatred toward Jews, supported by a number of governments, have become a growing tendency worldwide over the past decade, says a report on Contemporary Global Anti-Semitism, prepared by the Office of the Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating Anti-Semitism and presented to the U.S. Congress.

My Response: As a matter of fact, this is how it should be, because the UN represents all nations of the world, which, according to Kabbalah, consists of Israel and other nations.

Baal HaSulam. Introduction to the Book of Zohar, item 66:
Everything divides into two parts: internality and externality:
Humanity: Israel and the nations of the world.
Israel: the workers of the Creator and those who don’t work for the Creator.
The workers of the Creator: Kabbalists, and those who merely carry out the actions of the Torah.
The nations of the world: the righteous and the destroyers.
Everyone from Israel: the “point in the heart” and the “heart.”
If a person from Israel elevates his externality above his internality, he causes the nations of the world to overcome Israel.
If a person from Israel elevates his internality above his externality, he causes the nations of the world to recognize the value of Israel.

Therefore, in this situation, everything depends entirely on the Jews. If they begin to fulfill their mission toward the world, which is to disclose the method of spiritual and corporeal attainment, then the world will value and love the Jews. Otherwise, the more the world suffers, the worse it will act toward them.

Verifying the Validity of Kabbalah

Verifying the Validity of KabbalahComment for ML: On the one hand, one who has checked out other methods and comes to the method of Kabbalah, discovers that there is no other method for attaining spirituality. On the other hand, Laitman says, rather dogmatically, that there is no other method which can lead a person to spirituality, however, he also says that every person has to verify everything for himself.

My Response:
You’re right. If you tell modern scientists that you possess the one and only true universal wisdom, they won’t even talk to you. This is because modern science, especially over the last century, has come to understand nothing is absolute. Human instruments of attainment are limited, and do not comprehend the complete picture of creation, but only tiny pieces, and therefore any conclusions are impossible. Kabbalah reveals the universe in pieces as well, but as a hologram, where each piece contains the entire universe in itself, on a smaller scale, in the same 10 Sefirot, according to the principle “the particular is equal to the general.”

The process of verifying the validity of doctrines, methods, philosophies and religions – sorting through and comparing them, by a researcher who is subjective and undergoing personal transformations as well – is endless.

Or you can forgo all other doctrines, mysticisms, philosophies and religions of this world and commence an analytical study of Kabbalah, as a scientist-researcher and as a Kabbalist, i.e., attaining the Upper World just as you sense this world. Then you can verify for yourself that you are passing though the same states described in Kabbalistic books and in exactly the same order. Sure, these states could be unpleasant – periods of frustration, apathy, and so on, since you are discovering a robot, an egoist and an animal within yourself, out of which you will then be building a human being. And yet, the order of the development of that human being in you is genuine and verifiable at all times in history. At the same time, you will begin to understand how your consciousness, attainment and perception of the surrounding world depend exclusively on your qualities, and how everything changes as they change. In summary, either the world will keep deteriorating as our ego grows – or we will change ourselves and the world will change for the better!

Comments About Depression, Seeming Egoistic To Others, And Parenting

Comments about Depression, Seeming Egoistic to Others, and ParentingRequest for ML (from a comment to the post: Violence in Schools on the Rise): Dear Laitman, I think it would be great to add a commentary about how deeply depressed some humans are about living in the world today with some lines about how the future can bring joy and peace to them, especially to the young ones. Thanks Already.

My Response: These days, young people are more depressed than ever before. They see no purpose. They’ve exhausted their desires, having already developed through wealth, power, fame and knowledge, there is nothing left but sex and drugs. Sex will also gradually prove itself as being unfulfilling, and eventually they will even lose their desire for drugs – that’s how empty everything will feel!… And then we will hear the universal outcry of despair, when life will become worse than death, and yet, death will not be an option. This will immediately uncover the opportunity to achieve happiness, eternity and perfection in the qualities of love and giving. [Read more →]

Hyperactive Children – the Result of Evolving Egoism

Hyperactive Children - the Result of Evolving EgoismIt’s obvious that there is something special about the children born today: they are especially egoistic, shrewd and intelligent. They want to know “why” they have to do something an adult tells them, and only then do they agree to it, i.e. if they agree at all (usually they don’t!) They’re a completely new generation, with no desire to “succeed” in life, i.e. in our understanding of the term. First they need to prove to themselves that life has meaning. Otherwise, isn’t it better to just escape into drugs, various pleasures, and their own virtual world, rather than put in all sorts of efforts? What’s the point anyway?

We can’t handle them. We can’t restrain their egoism, and we can’t answer their questions. For these reasons, adults use all the means at their disposal to try and tame the new generation – in particular, to tame their hyperactivity. Hyperactivity, however, only seems hyper to adults. It’s quite normal for the new generation.

Many children regularly have permanent damage inflicted upon them through the use of addictive medications, such as Ritalin. These medications cause up to 70 side effects, including suicidal impulses, psychoses and arrhythmia, which parents aren’t warned of beforehand. Such medications are registered as narcotic substances, and are therefore considered as being dangerous drugs. At any rate, the practice of teachers who force parents to prescribe their children with Ritalin, under the fear of their children being expelled from school, is unacceptable. (There is another opinion that Ritalin is not a drug, because it doesn’t cause “withdrawals,” meaning one does not become physically dependent on it.)

Parents themselves can no longer manage their children, and are ready for anything! For example, according to the New York Times, when New York State authorities decided to stop the use of electroshock therapy on problematic children, they were confronted by the parents who insisted that electroshock isn’t actually cruel, that it teaches children to behave.

Kabbalah tells us that we live in a unique transitional period of reevaluating our evolution. In Ancient Babylon, where our evolution began, we made a decision to evolve egoistically. This decision was in spite of Abraham’s advice, who called for humanity’s altruistic evolution. And so we started evolving egoistically, under the influence of egoistic forces. Today, we are discovering that we have come to a dead end. We realize that we have positioned ourselves against Nature (the Creator). Kabbalah, Abraham’s testament, is becoming revealed to the world as a method for a different kind of existence: one that is integral, filled with love, and in balance with Nature. Kabbalah tells us that suffering will force us to accept Abraham’s way of existence, but that we don’t need to suffer. We can change our civilization by recognizing the oncoming global crisis and putting the wisdom of Kabbalah to use.

Are we wise enough to make the right choice?

My Wife Is Against Me Studying Kabbalah

My Wife Is Against Me Studying KabbalahQuestion for ML: I have been passionately studying your materials for two months now, and I am thankful to you from the bottom of my heart. I am turning to you because of an arising crisis in my family – my wife is against me studying Kabbalah. She is not interested in changing toward the spiritual. I have tried to do nothing but give, without receiving, for about two weeks, but I don’t see any improvement. What can I do with regard to her, to receive help for mine and our mutual spiritual growth? I think that I’ll only be able to change myself. Will this affect my wife as well?

My Answer:
1. She’ll probably get used to it, so continue trying, and gently explain to her that you’re simply curious. [Read more →]

Philosophy And Kabbalah

Philosophy and KabbalahPhilosophy has placed a lot of effort into proving that the corporeal is produced by the spiritual, that the soul begets the body. This is, of course, nothing more than philosophy’s invention. The spiritual has nothing to do with the corporeal; there’s no connection between them whatsoever.

Philosophy’s whole uselessness and confusion lies in that it takes pride in a theoretical understanding of the Creator. Kabbalah, on the other hand, is based on and speaks only about actual attainment.

The spiritual represents a force unclothed by a body, and therefore, it is without corporeal form, without any connection to the corporeal. As far as the soul goes, philosophy considers spiritual entities to be unattainable, attributing them to the category of pure reason.

How can the spiritual beget and sustain the corporeal? Such a question is only difficult for philosophers. This question presents no difficulty to a Kabbalist, because Kabbalists attain the total opposite of what philosophers imagine. Moreover, according to Kabbalists, any property of a spiritual object is similar to its corporeal property.

The time of philosophers has passed, and their reign has ended – thanks to materialistic psychologists. Materialistic psychology was built on the ruins of philosophy. Today, everyone understands philosophy’s uselessness, because it lacks a legitimate foundation. The opportunity to disclose Kabbalah to the world arose when materialistic psychology came about, and inflicted a victorious blow to philosophic theology.

Today, Kabbalah will be able to prove its validity by clarifying the uselessness and falsehood of philosophic theology, which inherited the throne of Kabbalah such a long time ago.

Why Kabbalah Disgusts Us

Why Kabbalah Disgusts UsKabbalah contradicts humans. This isn’t because it’s from a foreign nation or ancient civilization, and not because it’s mysterious or even antireligious… Kabbalah contradicts human nature, because human nature is egoistic. No single person will find anything more despicable than this method, which talks about the need to love others. Moreover, Kabbalah asserts that nobody can escape these changes within us either, because Nature (the Creator) makes our ongoing existence in egoism more painful with every passing minute. Even if it seems like we’ve managed to hide from the relentless law of development, which evolves us from egoism to altruism, Nature will still force us to achieve correction: either through suffering, or through our deliberate attraction of the force of correction. We feel this instinctively, which is why we resist it. And if someone doesn’t resist, it’s because he doesn’t yet know what he’s in for!

Who Needs Israel?

Who Needs Israel?News Story: Recently, Israeli representatives in the UN discovered a map on the official UN site, showing Lebanon bordering the state of Palestine. “The mistake” was corrected, but the map reappeared on the site only a few days later as a result of “a technical issue.” Israeli diplomats in the UN say that they are constantly forced to defend Israel’s right to exist, and this incident with the map of Palestine is by far not the only one.

My Response: The world feels that Israel and the Jews don’t need to exist; that they are a source of tension. Besides Israel, no other nation in the world asks about the purpose of its existence. As a carrier of the method of correction, Israel has the right to exist only if it fulfills its mission: to disclose Kabbalah to the world.

The “Introduction to the Book of Zohar” (item 70) says that if the Jews do not fulfill their mission, then the whole world will not only see them as unnecessary, but also harmful, and that everybody would be better off without them. The world’s explicit and closeted support of Nazis is clear proof of this. It stems from the egoistic nature of every single person.

Israel can prove its need to exist and its usefulness to the world only through the spreading of Kabbalah – the method for improving the world. Then Israel won’t need to defend its right to exist before anyone, not even UN officials!

How to Change Yourself and What to Change Yourself Into

How to Change Yourself, and What to Change Yourself IntoQuestion for ML: The science of Kabbalah and a very strong desire on my part have helped me come out of difficult crises of my illness (of the endocrine system). Again and again, I am thankful for seeing that bearded man on TV during on another brutal night, in agonizing pain, and all because of my upstairs neighbor’s suggestion. This has saved my life. But how can one who suffers from a physical illness perceive exalted impressions? Maybe there’s some form of relaxation, which prepares the body for such sensations? Where in Kabbalah can one find the part that connects the head and the body? Where is the practical side of it? I can’t imagine that it’s only words and nothing else.

My Answer: The only thing controlling us and our bodies is the Upper Force. If we want to change something, we can only change it by becoming like, or desiring to become like, the Upper Force. By doing so, we replace our state with His. The reason He makes us suffer in our present state is only so that we would ask Him for such a change to happen.
