Answer: Yes, in old times. But today we see how Kabbalists live and how other people neglect them. So I do not think that there is any attractive force in being a Kabbalist and even more so on the level of a prophet.

Comment: We study that before making an agreement with the Creator, a person must make an agreement with his friends, with a group, because in our world the Creator is hidden behind all objects of inanimate, vegetative, animate, and human nature.

My Response: The fact is that the Creator is a force that we do not attain at all. We feel it only in our material—in egoism.

To the extent that we can correct our broken egoistic state and antagonistic ties for a good connection, for altruistic relationships, to that extent we become similar to the Creator and can feel Him among us.

Since a person initially consists of only egoistic intention and desire, then working on this egoism in order to achieve a connection between us is our main work.

By dividing our egoism into five parts according to its level, according to its strength, and according to its desire to reject everything that is outside the field of my egoistic goals—by overcoming these antagonistic desires and intentions for the whole world—I gradually become closer to others and enter into connection with others.

By this I rise above my egoism, defeat it, and thus overcome all five steps of my egoistic desires. Five steps, multiplied by five, and again by five, give one hundred twenty-five steps that separate me from the Creator, from similarity to Him. These are the stages of attainment, correction, and our rapprochement with each other.

Question: What does covenant of the tongue mean? Is it what we are not allowed to talk about?

Answer: In our world all four spiritual covenants are very complex and special laws.

The covenant of the tongue means that a person should be careful not to harm any creations with one’s words, not with thoughts as in the first three laws, but precisely with words, with expressing oneself.

When a person works for bestowal and for connection, then one must perceive the whole world as perfect not only with respect to one’s friends, but with respect to other people and even animals. Therefore, we cannot issue critical remarks about anyone. You perceive the whole world as an act of the Creator and you refrain from causing verbal or mental harm to any of His creations.

Question: What is this necessity that we feel lately to ask for the friends? I increasingly feel the need to ask for them, for love, for unity, and for bestowal. If I don’t ask, I feel like something is wrong. I want to ask for them all the time, I want to ask only for them.

Answer: This is the most correct decision, the outcome of our convention. If from now on I can continue to live by the desires of my friends and raise them to the Creator, this is the best result of the convention!

We must check ourselves each time: “Is my desire not my desire? Is it the desire of my friends that I receive from them and raise to the Creator?” Thus, I am the link between the entire ten and the Creator, and between the Creator and the entire ten.

Comment: Recently, at a morning lesson, your student said with such pain that he needs the Creator more than friends.

My Response: Naturally. No one comes to us in order to find love for their neighbor. And no one in the world needs it.

Comment: It seems like you really need to start coercively to force yourself into it.

My Response: And here it will not work by force.

Comment: You have already answered this question more than once. But all the same, there are questions all the time, and they are in everyone.

My Response: Yes, they will be there until the very last stage. Until complete correction, there will always be the same question: “I don’t want to love the one I feel outside of myself. I can’t!”

Question: He says: “I can’t.” A need arises in the Creator as if there is a dialogue with Him, mechanically, internally, and ?

Answer: We are deceiving ourselves. In fact, the one who is outside of me does not matter to me, neither does the Creator or the friends. Because if I depend on the Creator, if He commands and everything else, then how can I do that?

My Response: You can’t. You don’t have any image in front of you. You will draw whatever you want, as all religions do. So it won’t work.

We must act as it is written in the works of Kabbalists, the way they went, we must go the same way, not because we are dumber than them, but because there is simply no other way.

We must learn to need others. We must understand that everything around us is actually the manifestation of the same Creator, only in a form that more clearly shows me how much I am against it. That is, to the extent that I push people, humanity, and everything in general away from me, to the same extent I push the Creator away. And there are no differences here.

Question: To the same extent that I try to attract others, do I attract the Creator? How can we make it enter the heart?

Answer: Gradually, together with our efforts, the upper light influences us, and it is this light that creates a new system of relations in us.

Question: But you say it will be practically until the final correction?

Answer: No. We want to take at least a few steps. Each time it is necessary to take a certain step forward in this.

Question: But is such difficulty an indication, as you always say, of a lofty soul?

Answer: Yes. The higher the soul, the deeper its egoism, the harder it is, and the more difficult it is for a person to get out of himself. And so for heavy souls it takes decades.

Question: What is your practical advice?

Answer: Just don’t leave. Don’t let there be a single day without classes and not a week without meetings with friends. Do what Kabbalists, our teachers, advise. And everything else will be from the upper light, from the Creator, which surrounds us and includes everything.

Question: How can we express mutual guarantee for each other right now?

Answer: With our thoughts, feelings, and longings of the heart.

Question: If I constantly miss the meeting of the ten due to many circumstances, but I think about them, is it called that I am in mutual guarantee with them?

Answer: I do not think so. I do not know all your problems, but this is not a simple matter. To miss meetings with friends is an extreme case.

Question: What should I do if I feel mutual guarantee with only one person in the ten and I do not see any possibility for it to be in the entire ten yet?

Answer: I think that you should still make sure that the connection in the ten is common and as heartfelt as possible. This is the responsibility of the entire ten. You should stop looking at each other the way you used to before, and start a new life, a new connection.

Question: Is there a way to find out if I am annulling myself correctly before the friends?

Answer: If you annul yourself correctly before your friends, then you will feel their influence on you. You will feel that they are inside you. We must aim for this.

Question: If I cannot ask for myself, then what should be the attitude to the request to pull myself up to advanced friends?

Answer: Through them. Only if you ask for them, you pull yourself up to them. And if you ask for yourself, you go down. These are the inverse laws of spiritual and corporeal states.

Question: On one hand we need to raise the prayer of many, which should be not a sum, but an integral. On the other hand each of us must be in constant dialogue with the Creator. How do these two things correlate?

Answer: We must combine all our requests and efforts so that we can express them collectively to the Creator. Then we can hope that He will react. If we have what is called “one man with one heart,” if we gather in such a structure, then we will deserve His answer.

Only in great desire, yearning, and longing when we are directed to the Creator can we reach some kind of response and reaction from Him.

We must still form our desire in such a way that it is as internal, soulful, and spiritual as possible, and then we will receive an answer. The Creator requires us to be as pure as possible with Him. As pure as possible!

There is only one way to win the internal war: it is to cover all crimes with love and to rise above arguing who is right and who is wrong. Then the corporeal war, which was a consequence of the internal one, will also end.

If the war does not end with victory, first of all in the spiritual sense, then corporeal victory will not help. The battle may subside for a while, but it will certainly resume.

Therefore, we must fight in order to cover all crimes with love, not try to figure out on whose side the truth is in this conflict and confrontation, but to rise above both poles. This is possible only if we understand that all the forces of confrontation come from the Creator and that only by rising up to Him can we reconcile them by ascending to their source.

The conflict is arranged by the Creator, there is none else besides Him. Only by combining two opposing forces can we win, not by choosing which of the two lines is right, but by walking in the middle line. The Creator started the war and is waging it, and therefore, only by appealing to Him with a demand to reconcile this dispute can it be ended. As it is written: “He Who makes peace in His heavens, may He make peace for us.”

We did not make timely corrections, and therefore the corruptions accumulated and have exploded as an exacerbation of a neglected disease. And that is what is happening now. For tens and even hundreds of years these problems have been hiding in humanity, breaking out here and there as symptoms of an internal disease.

We must understand that if a problem has been revealed, then it has already existed before. Now, when it has manifested, we have the opportunity to correct it and reach the end of correction.

The Creator arranged the shattering for us. It is not our fault that we received a shattered world in which the egoistic force rules. We only need to reveal this and ask the Creator to make a correction because through it we adhere to the Creator.

He does everything—not us. We just need to turn to Him above all the revealed problems. We understand that all this was arranged by Him and done on purpose so that we would ask Him for corrections. This is called: “My sons defeated Me.”

Question: There are four covenants in spirituality. Is there an order in which they take place?

Answer: No, we should just work on our common desire within the group and aim to fully link it to the quality of bestowal. This is all done during the study in stages. Once the Creator grants us the upper force, it will happen in us.

Question: What if I am somewhat confused about these four covenants?

Answer: Do not even think about how many there are! We just need to think about connection with our friends and with the whole huge world group studying the advancement toward the Creator, and then with the whole of humanity to bring everyone to the full extent of their strength and capabilities to a covenant with each other and with the Creator.
