Above Reception and Bestowal

610.2Question: According to Kabbalah, there are two forces at the base of everything: the force of bestowal, which integrates all systems, and the force of reception, which differentiates and divides, and that is why we have such diversity in the world. Which of these forces does the Creator belong to?

Answer: There is no Creator. Something that is like a Creator appears to us in opposite forces: reception-bestowal, plus-minus, and so on.

This upper thought is above both forces, only in relation to us it does manifest itself in this way, and therefore we call it the Creator. But in fact, there is something higher, abstract, unrelated to us.

Question: Which means, if we talk about the Creator as an upper force, a plan, then in our sensations, it manifests itself in the form of two forces: reception and bestowal. But is it Him? Is this His manifestation in relation to us?

Answer: We have nothing more to talk about. We can only explore what is manifested in relation to our sensory organs.

The Influence of Light on a Person

233Question: How does light affect a person?

Answer: In different ways. It all depends on what state a person is in: either he is in an ascent or moving away from it.

In a person, his internal states, Reshimot, are constantly changing. If the light is influencing him, then naturally these states are quickly realized in the direction in which the Reshimot are directed at this time.

Light is the energy that influences a person that directs him to the purpose of creation, to complete connection with all parts of creation: inanimate, vegetative, animate, and human. This connection already reveals within itself the force of connection called “the Creator.”

Question: When a child is growing up, he is influenced by light, and under its influence he develops. What is the difference between this development and the Kabbalistic one?

Answer: The fact is that the child does not know how he develops. It happens instinctively. Reshimot, that is, the informational genes of his physical development are constantly revealed outward along the chain, one after another, and light at this time influences him.

That is, the light is constant, and the genes are changing all the time. The child grows under the influence of constant light as if he receives continuous nutrition. Since more and more “adult,” large, composite genes emerge, this is what guarantees his development.

Question without an Answer

79.02Question: Kabbalists who have attained the Creator describe it in their books. Can this be an instruction for us?

Answer: Of course. Kabbalists tell you what you should do in your desires, how to adjust them in order to feel the Creator.

Question: Will everyone have personal feelings?

Answer: Everyone’s feelings are personal, but you will be able to calibrate yourself like musicians in an orchestra.

Comment: Let’s say you and I baked a cake according to the same recipe. We will feel its taste in the same way.

My Response: How do you know that it will be the same? How can you check it?

Comment: You will say that the cake is sweet, and I will say that it is sweet. We have a common concept of sweet. Even if we feel this sweetness in different ways, at least we will come to a common denominator that it is sweet.

My Response: Maybe we will come to something common because we agree with such a definition. But all the same, the question of attaining the Creator remains without an answer.

How to Get Out of a Losing Streak?

527.04Question: Any person feels that there are some good periods in life and a streak of failures. What does it depend on?

Answer: It all depends on the upper governance. When it descends upon a person and gradually awakens step-by-step, state-by-state, then one no longer knows how to act. One sees that he has caught a jetstream, a current, that takes him somewhere, maybe even into bad waters. Sometimes, it’s the other way around into good and calm waters.

Question: What can be done in this case? How can you get out of the losing streak?

Answer: Take a Kabbalistic book and read, read, read. By this, a person attracts the upper light, the good light. Only this will help him.

Question: What about the connection with other people?

Answer: He will read about this in the books too. But the most effective thing is not the connection with other people, because who knows what kind of people there are in his environment. A Kabbalistic book, however, is always a help.

On The Opposition of Two Worlds

537Question: What happens to my sensations in the five corporeal sensory organs during spiritual attainment?

Answer: Our corporeal sensory organs are so small that they become almost invisible. What do you have left of your childhood? You sometimes remember maybe some episodes and that is it because everything is suppressed by other bigger impressions.

Question: Does a Kabbalist stop perceiving this world the way we perceive it today?

Answer: This world partially disappears from our sensations, since it is the opposite of the world we will come to. Our world is egoistic, built on opposition, hatred, suppression, on the destruction of one another.

And the spiritual world is built on harmony, mutual help, mutual complementing, unity, and connection with each other.

Therefore, instead of our world, a completely different connection between the elements of creation appears.

But all the same, the impression from our world, from its opposites, and from its evil does not completely disappear. It enters that new world and helps make it more convex and brighter precisely in contrast with our world.

Can a Person Punish the Creator?

962.6Question: Is there such a concept that a person can punish the Creator?

Answer: Yes, by the fact that he does not rush in full force to the purpose of creation. This can be regarded as a punishment for the Creator. Like a child who does not want to develop, he upsets his parents a lot by this.

Question: For what actions in this world does the Creator punish a person directly?

Answer: For not wanting to connect with other people in the revelation of the Creator; this is a general formula.

For What Actions Does the Creator Punish a Person?

621Question: Are there rewards and punishments that come directly from the Creator, and not through the surrounding nature, people, and society? A person simply feels that the Creator is sending him something.

Answer: Yes. But for this, a person must adapt and place himself under the control of the Creator, then he will feel it.

Question: For what actions does the Creator punish a person?

Answer: For those that do not lead to the purpose of creation. This is not a punishment, but just amendments, restrictions, and some kind of props. This is what is called working on mistakes.

Baggage from Past Lives

49.01Question: Are there any punishments from past incarnations? Is there such a thing that a person drags baggage because of some bad deeds in past lives?

Answer: In principle, yes because our material life and death do not end anything and do not start anything. We should perceive this reality as a continuous movement of our spiritual ascent to the Creator.

Question: And vice versa, are there any merits that give me easier development in my next lives? Even the Torah speaks of the merits of the forefathers.

Answer: I wouldn’t say it’s easier, but more effective.

Question: In general, is it fair that a person gets punished for some past lives when it is unclear who lived there?

Answer: But they’re yours.

Comment: But I don’t feel that way.

My Response: It doesn’t matter. This is done on purpose so as to not free you from any problems or impose them on you. All this is considered and very clearly comes out of the global governance system. It’s not just some kind of whim or accident or that the human body is independently created in this way.

Toward Better Results

41.01Question: Sometimes a person feels that he did something wrong and immediately received punishment, and vice versa, that he did something good and immediately received some kind of reward. But in most cases, there is no such direct connection; it is concealed. Why is one not shown directly that there is punishment for bad deeds?

Answer: A person is not shown anything at all except what he needs to know for his next correct action. This is how he is led through life.

If he does not understand this and does not feel this, then the problem is in him. In this case, to the extent that he does not feel that he allegedly made a mistake, the mistake itself gradually leads him to some better results.

Everything is arranged so we would move forward by trial and error.

The Essence of the Creator’s Instructions

294.3Question: There are a huge number of people around me in this world. Some of them are talented, rich, and happy, and some, on the contrary, are poor, unhappy, and sick. I really feel like saying that the former people were rewarded by the Creator and the latter were punished. Is it right to reason this way?

Answer: But these are your judgments. How do you know what the reward and punishments are? How do you know the absolute meaning of the Creator’s relation to man?

Even the Torah says: “He, who does not beat his son, hates him.” What is meant is not actual beatings, but the fact that you have to put pressure on him to make a man out of an animal.

Question: So, if a person does not see the entire program of creation, he cannot, at a certain stage of his development and all of mankind’s, draw conclusions about reward and punishment, right?

Answer: No, in no way! For this, we are given lists of instructions that we can align ourselves with. Although we have not yet grasped their truths, we can still concentrate on them.

Question: Is the problem that everyone understands them in their own way?

Answer: It really depends on how developed a person is. But this is precisely the point of these lists, that a person is mistaken to the extent that he does not merge with them, to the extent that he does not comprehend the instructions.
