The Entire Spiritual Path of a Person

216.02Comment: Baal HaSulam’s book Shamati (I Heard) is written logically, beautifully, and understandable for a person. But this text seems to be encoded because it speaks about something slightly different than what is written in the book.

My Response: Yes, but a person can discover this code. It cannot be passed on secretly from one person to another. One who can understand, understands. One who does not understand cannot do anything about it.

Put a dog next to a Kabbalist, what will it understand? It must first attain the qualities of a human, and then turn from a human into a Kabbalist.

It all depends on us. While we read Shamati, we feel this text differently due to our corrections, not because something exists in the text, but because everything exists in a person.

Let’s say you have a musical score in front of you. If you have a musical instrument, you can play it. If you understand the notes, you can sing without an instrument. But if you do not have an understanding of what these symbols are, what can you do?

Therefore, a person who constantly reads Shamati reveals more and more information in it. There is a deeper code in this book than we imagine when we first read it. It describes the entire spiritual path of a person.

Exchange of Spiritual Energy

235Comment: You say that the transmission of information through vision is more effective than through hearing. But you cannot visually show spirituality, so you convey this information to us orally, as if you paint it through words.

My Response: I transmit information orally and try to evoke adequate sensations in people.

Question: I am looking for the correct combination of picture and sound. You said that certain melodies can create a sensation that is closer to a spiritual experience. Is it possible to convey this with a visual image?

Answer: And with an image it is possible. But it is not the same.

The main transmission of spiritual information occurs on the shared screen between the student and the teacher, which is known as “mouth to mouth.”

“Mouth” does not refer to lips. The mouth refers to the place where the head, the thoughts, of the spiritual Partzuf, ends in our spiritual image. When the thoughts of the teacher and the student fully coincide in the mutual exchange of information, energy, and fulfillment, then the direct transmission of authentic information occurs, if they are connected together at least in some common volume.

This informational explosion, which is felt by each of the individuals connecting in this way, is that special state we need to reach. If we come to this, we will attain the full manifestation of the upper force (the Creator) that will fill us with absolute knowledge, energy, pleasure, and eternal existence.

Implementation of Spiritual Information

234Question: You say that you give us information and the rest is our work. What is the implementation of this information?

Answer: You must annul yourself before the teacher as much as possible in order to take his advice and instructions and follow them the way he tells you to in the group and in the study. That is it! Nothing else.

Additional work is dissemination. By disseminating the Kabbalistic methodology in the world, you receive from the world its desires, its emptiness, and thus you raise them. You are excited by the world and its striving forward and by the lack of its ability to be fulfilled.

That is, dissemination is also of great importance. But, in principle, the priorities are arranged as follows: the teacher, then the group, and together with the teacher and the group, study with books.

By correctly implementing this in yourself, you awaken the hidden force in nature that develops, corrects, creates, and animates everything—the force of bestowal and love called the Creator or light.

The Virus of Selfishness

565.02Question: Do you have students who suppress others for themselves, that impose their mentality and their understanding on others. How can we protect people from this virus?

Answer: In any environment, in any society, there are such people, and there is no getting away from them. It is necessary to accept them as they are and realize that they are all brought up one above the other. Both these and those will develop normally and eventually be rebuilt.

Question: Have there been such changes in your memory that a person turns into a completely different person?

Answer: Sure. At the same time, very powerful, ambitious people who believed that in Kabbalah they could suppress others and establish their own opinion, slowly changed, and so did everyone else around them. All this happens simultaneously in one common mechanism, which is regulated depending on the behavior of each of its parts. They mutually influence each other and move forward.

Question: But it doesn’t change a person’s character, does it?

Answer: He begins to use these means of suppression against himself. In principle, it is necessary to monitor such problems in the group, but there is no need to take any action, to suppress anything harshly.

Question: Why are there people who are insensitive to many things?

Answer: They are specially created like this. They have very big egoism. It means that they will go far afterward.

Question: What do you mean by “big egoism”?

Answer: Such a person on the material level feels only himself and wants to rule in his stupidity, to suppress others in his jealousy. You can’t do anything with him, you have to wait until he corrects himself, until the light begins to act on him so that he begins to feel his evil.

Double Correction

207Comment: You say that the world exists not outside of us, but within us. In any case, outside you see the same thing that, let’s say, is shown on the news.

My Response: Yes, that is correct because we are still in this world with our animalistic senses. In addition I have another sensation above the animalistic one in which I perceive the world differently.

Both perceptions of the world exist within me in parallel: one is based on my egoistic desire, which remains for the time being because I still have uncorrected qualities, and through them, I sense the same as you supposedly sense.

And “allegedly you” because you do not exist, you are in me. And so it will be until I will correct myself to the extent that I begin to perceive everything within me. But before that, I have to correct myself in a twofold way.

In two ways means that I have to correct myself in relation to you and try to provide you with a method of correction so that you correct yourself in relation to me. This duality is specially designed to help us bring both perceptions of the world into one.

States Of Smallness (Katnut) And Greatness (Gadlut)

509The article, “The Rose” in the Introduction of The Book of Zohar says that a rose has two states: Smallness (Katnut) and Greatness (Gadlut).

A state of smallness is the beginning of its creation when it contains only the Sefira Keter. This state is called “a rose among the thorns.”

The state of greatness is called plainly “a rose” or “the assembly of Israel,” when all negative qualities grow and are transformed into positive ones.

Thorns symbolize our negative qualities. When we want to turn on each other with our thorns, we begin to understand that our positive growth lies in our correct attitude toward each other with our petals.

The state of smallness (Katnut) is when we stop using our negative qualities. It is called smallness because in this state we cannot receive the upper light. The state of greatness (Gadlut) is when we bloom like a rose, and through wishing each other good, love, and mutual assistance, we ascend to the level of the Creator.

In other words, as Rabbi Akiva said, “Love your neighbor” is the state of greatness when you can use all your desires for the sake of others. When you simply do not harm anyone, this is the state of smallness, in which you kind of restrain yourself, as if limiting yourself with the thorns of a rose.

Kabbalah Cannot Harm

538Comment: I was talking to a man who uses hallucinogenic drugs. He said that at the time he uses them, he loses his own “I” and can penetrate into other systems, cellular communications, the Internet, and can be a hacker. He has indeed hacked modern servers.

My Response: I do not believe it. Maybe he had some kind of additional intelligence like Wolf Messing did at the time when he saw some codes and could crack them, but this is not Kabbalah. Especially since he was doing such negative things.

A Kabbalist, rising above his level, enters a field that works only for bestowal. He cannot do a single bad thing. All his actions go together with the upper force, with the Creator. Therefore, does not hack something.

Even against bad actions, a Kabbalist can do nothing. Let’s say there are some forces in the world that are launching a nuclear war now. A Kabbalist has no right to interfere! He can only intervene at the lowest level by educating people and helping them to rise and thus neutralize all the bad. That is what I am trying to do.

Full Cup of Blessing

239It is written that “a cup of blessing must be full,” full of prayer, our hopes, and a burning desire to stand before the Creator. All this preparation in the heart is called a cup of blessing.

We ask for a blessing, we ask the Creator to transform our nature, to change our heart, so that instead of egoistic thoughts and desires, He will give us the desire to bestow through all living beings to Him, to the Creator.

This is what is called a cup full of blessing. We bless the Creator, thank Him that although He created us with a will to receive, cruel, and blind; nevertheless, He gave us the opportunity to wrap it in bestowal, in its opposite.

We understand what great change must happen in us, and we are grateful to the Creator for giving us the opportunity to combine two opposite forms within us: our egoism, reception, and bestowal. When we combine these two forms, we will come closer to the Creator, become similar to Him, rise to Him, able to understand and feel Him, and become like Him.

Therefore, before we come into contact with the Creator, we need to feel where we really are, why the Creator created us in this form, and what we need to do to turn ourselves over and make ourselves similar to Him. It is on the basis of these two opposite forms that we can, on one hand, remain created beings, and on the other hand become similar to the Creator, and thus reach our complete correction.

A Twofold View of the World

928Question: What makes you strong? How do you transform obstacles by yourself?

Answer: I see two sides of the world.

One side is our world in the form you see it with the naked eye. This world is against me. After all, if I am the bearer of a Kabbalistic idea, almost everyone in this world except Kabbalists (who are few and hidden) is against me because of their egoistic nature.

And even my students, to the extent they have not yet corrected themselves, have not crossed the Machsom, and have not found a minimal spiritual form of integration, bestowal, connection, are all my opponents too. Internally, each of them can become my opponent at any moment because such is the nature of their ego, there is nothing you can do about it. I was like that too, I went through all the stages of spiritual maturation, and therefore, I understand them perfectly. This is first of all.

Second, everything is controlled by the upper force. Practically, I work not against these people, but against the upper force, as if against the egoism it creates, in order to somehow bring all its particles, that is, all these people who are egoistic particles, to their integral connection.

On one hand, I have a somewhat antagonistic attitude toward the world, and on the other hand, I see it as a means of advancement.

Naturally, there are many problems ahead in the form of detractors, haters, destroyers, and in the form of misunderstanding, laziness, as well as in the form of helpers on the way.

Look for Luck

514.04Question: You often say that in addition to studying texts and practicing Kabbalah, luck is also important. What do you mean by luck?

Answer: By luck, I mean that a person should be careful not to miss a single moment in life. Luck is not favoritism. Luck is when I make the most effective use of every moment to absorb everything I can from every circumstance.

As they say: “Look for luck.” I do not know where it is, but I am prowling like a dog, where can it be? That is what I mean by looking for luck.

I want to make my students more feeling and sensitive in order not to miss every moment.

Question: In any case, do you focus on the main core of students with whom you can communicate more deeply?

Answer: No, my lesson is designed for a more or less average level of students, or maybe a little higher.

The rest are gradually catching up. I am still focusing on the more internal part, on more complex material, in order to force the others to improve a little.

Someone understands five percent, someone fifty, and someone seventy or eighty. But what can I do? I have to develop a methodology both in breadth and depth and a little upward, and show that it covers everything that exists in our world.
