Question: In corporeal sensation, why is a day divided into 24 hours, a year into 365 days, etc.?

Answer: This is a consequence of spiritual states in our world. We perceive everything this way because we do not control our corporeal states. But as soon as we begin to control them, time disappears and we become its creators.

Comment: People have always dreamed of time travel.

My Response: So what is the problem? There is no problem because it all exists in a single, common whole. Depending on your state, you are at one level or at the other.

In spirituality, you move along the timeline back and forth, choosing what you want. If you need it to move forward and promote others, that, like everything else, is available.

A Kabbalist always tries to be at the highest possible level and to constantly advance and ascend. But in order to connect with others, to help others, he creates an additional image of himself, just as an adult lowers himself to the level of a small child, in order to play with him.

Then, by creating his own small image, he comes into contact with ordinary people, communicates with them, teaches them, and slowly invites them to rise independently. But at the same time, he himself is still at the highest possible level and is constantly trying to improve it.

Comment: That means there is no other reason for him to descend if not to help others.

My Response: A Kabbalist does not actually descend, as he only wants to ascend. But for the sake of others, he makes for himself, so to speak, an additional Partzuf, i.e., an additional system, like a mother, playing with a child stoops to the level of a little girl to play.

Question: Are such Kabbalists as Baal HaSulam and Rabash present in our current state?

Answer: What for? They did their job and that is it. They are present, but not in such a state that we can contact them.

It seems to us that we, today’s humanity, are in some way the heirs of two civilizations: Rome and Ancient Greece. The government structure and the structure of the judicial and banking systems come from Rome. Philosophy comes from Greece and in a later period partly from Byzantium. But in principle, all this concerns the corporeal development of humanity.

However, the internal altruistic spiritual development of the world came from the Israelites, a group of people who fell from the spiritual level to the corporeal one. All world religions originate from them, and today they have given the nations of the world a certain preparation for the perception of spiritual ideas.

Thus, humanity was prepared for the fact that the story of mutual infiltration and communication would move to a new level. According to Kabbalah, this is bound to happen either by awareness or by being pushed to happiness by a stick.

Question: Do corporeal and spiritual development, in fact, occur simultaneously?

Answer: In spirituality, the beginning, the end, and all the stages of development exist from the very beginning. On the corporeal level, however, there is none of this; it all unfolds only in us. We can go through these stages either with a good feeling or with an evil feeling. We choose between good and evil.

Every time you have to be in a certain state. If you want to understand and feel what is good for you, you need to transform yourself so that the next state prepared for you is desirable. If you are ready for this, you will perceive your whole path well. If you are not ready, you will perceive it as bad. But that does not change the path.

There is a mechanism inside you that shows you a movie that you have to go through. You just order your attitude to this movie with your constant frame-by-frame development.

In other words, in spirituality, all this already exists in one single picture. And you gradually reveal this picture for yourself as you develop either under the influence of suffering or under the influence of awareness.

It is as if you begin to see clearly and you receive a new vision, a new opportunity to feel, to see, to realize, to understand, and to absorb. In this way, a new world opens up to you.

Everyone who is higher than his friend, his egoism is greater. The more you grow, the stronger the ego develops, only it becomes different; it soaks up and absorbs everyone.

And then you grow by fulfilling the desires of others and trying to reveal the general system of connection; in this way it becomes yours. Your starting, root point—the basis of life, the soul—is the starting point from which you constantly act.

That is why our methodology is called Kabbalah (receiving), in the end you receive.

This methodology explains how you can truly absorb the entire universe in all its depth. Everything that Hollywood invents, everything that a person can possibly think of, all of this multiplied by billions of times more you can absorb into yourself and expand to a state where you no longer feel the limitations of earthly existence in any parameters, along any axis of time, or volume, or even the axis of sensations.

Worse and better—all these parameters change and become relative. You are qualitatively changing so much that the transformation of inanimate, vegetative, and animate levels and their various modifications cannot even be compared to what you go through.

It all starts with the realization that it is your desire that becomes something that exists separately from you and it is in it that you begin to work. You set it in motion as some kind of mechanism, change its parameters, process it, and feel it. You are above the desire!

Question: We know that thought has tremendous force. If you constantly imagine that all the hearts in the ten are connected into one, then in the end it will be so; they will connect. How can we use thought for the ten’s advancement?

Question: We feel ourselves in some kind of physical attire. But Kabbalists, looking at this world, probably do not see individuals. Do they perceive it differently, perhaps like an aquarium in which small fish are scurrying around?

Answer: No, you do not see people as protein bodies, but as desires. You watch them shimmer, merge, come closer, and move away. And you need to somehow make sure that they eventually come into the right contact.

Question: Are our everyday worries, say that we need to hammer a nail or do something else, perceived by Kabbalists simply as desires?

Answer: These are animalistic mechanical desires. They are awakened in us automatically by that common motor that moves everyone forward. We need to work through them as well, they are our part.

Like in our world there is a vast universe and there is a clear causality that every molecule and every atom at every moment of time is in some state of its own and in a specific interaction with all the others.

Can we imagine this system? After all, this is infinity! What keeps the atoms of countless stars, nebulae, and galaxies in a certain system, in a certain relationship with each other? This is incredible for our conceptual apparatus.

How is it possible to think about all this at the same time, to program, maintain, and lead the entire system to a state of, say, vegetative nature? And it is even more complicated; all the movements in each molecule, in each combination, occur at a qualitatively new level. Then it all moves to the animate level: to amoebas, to all the simplest vertebrates, and so on. It becomes an enormous system!

But when it is triggered by one force—the force of maximum pleasure because the system itself consists of the desire to receive pleasure, it turns out that all this is averaged out, calms down, and adds up together.

It is very simple, nothing else is needed; into each atom, its desire enters, pleasure is given from above, and they all line up in a certain state. Absolutely everything in the world forms such a common “plate.”

In our world, we feel independent because we do not have a feeling of connection with the force that is shining from above and in relation to which everything is very simply built. Everyone has his own position relative to it and at every moment wants to change his state. As a result, he changes it according to the general scheme. That is, everything exists according to such a definite, clear, rigid order that there is no need to calculate anything in advance or do anything.

The calculation is only relative to the person: how well does he want to move forward in his subjective feelings or not, and nothing more. Everything is very simple.

Everything comes only from sensations. First comes the desire and then the awareness of what you feel in it. This desire may be such that you do not feel anything in it yet. Then some sensations appear.

Although the desire already has some kind of fulfillment, some kind of sensory information, you may not feel it yet, it is below the threshold of your sensitivity. Then you begin to feel it as pleasant or unpleasant, and then realize: is it pleasant or not, what are the causal consequences, and so on.

That is, awareness is born much later than sensation. Therefore, the wisdom of Kabbalah talks about the way to attain, reveal, and begin to feel everything, and then, in accordance with this, you will begin to understand.

Question: In the article “The Last Generation,” Baal HaSulam talks about a society that sets an example for everyone. After all, everything is learned from examples. Can you give us an example of a spiritual reality?

Answer: Do not be so naive. How can I give an example if you do not see the next reality, if you have completely different feelings and thoughts, and if you do not evaluate what is in your egoistic qualities?

Let’s say, I say: “In the spiritual realm, you are in a state of exiting yourself.” Exiting oneself in our earthly lexicon means to be out of oneself. Therefore, I do not know how to explain it to you. It is impossible!

Kabbalah states that you really need to attain the upper world. How? It is impossible to experience the next state until you have the corresponding sensory organs for it.

And how do you develop them? When you start playing with others as if you were in this state. Start trying to construct a bright future in the game.

“Why do I need this? I have already tried building it.” You were building it because the communist party wanted it. But now build it because nature compels you to do so, not because someone invented it, but because it is necessary for your survival.

To the extent you try to do this, you will suddenly start feeling that you are beginning to understand the surrounding world more and the tools return to you that allow you to manage banks, factories, international trade, relationships, and everything else.

Thoughts are nonexistent in and of themselves. Rather, they occur in the mind.

The mind derives from desires.

Our desires derive from the desire that exists in nature.

The desire that exists in nature derives from the intention that exists in nature.

Such a chain manifests in us in order to create desires. Accordingly, desires surface thoughts, and thoughts weave together the mind.

When a certain network of thoughts forms within us, which we can own and operate, we can then evaluate our desires—the influences from nature—and try to connect our mind with nature’s mind, and our desires with nature’s desires.

Desires are primary, and the mind serves them. It turns out that the size and versatility of our desires corresponds to the size of our mind that tries to serve and satisfy them.

Question: What do you mean by “a person”? An ordinary person performs some mental actions due to the fact that the networks of neurons somehow shift among themselves. A machine does the same. What is the difference here? What is so special about a person?

Answer: There is nothing special about a person, but no neural network can own him. To do this, you need to rise above the person, and this is a completely different area.

Rising above a person means understanding his tasks, methods for solving them, and how we can allow such a person to rule the world.
