Comment: The present wars are removing “superfluous mouths,” and if this doesn’t happen, the population of the Earth will steadily grow.

Answer: There is not a problem in feeding these mouths. If everyone would comfortably begin to engage with spiritual development, then there won’t be “superfluous mouths.” There is a place for everyone under the sun! Moreover, each is desired. It all depends on the relationships between people.

In this case, no one will bother anyone, as if there weren’t anyone near me, because each one will be within himself and simultaneously in mutual agreement and understanding with others and with the Creator. And after that our world will totally disappear, now it is simply portrayed for us through our sensations, but the moment that we begin to elevate our feelings to the last level, to the degree of the elevation, this world will begin to gradually disappear; that is how this works.

Today physicists and psychologists are confirming what the wisdom of Kabbalah spoke about 5,000 years ago. Our world is a holographic image; it exists only in our sensations, in relation to us. In itself it is not like this, but that is how we perceive it. In itself, it is nothing, and it doesn’t exist. Forces exist that portray various pictures in us, like on a television screen. But these pictures that appear in relation to us and in front of us are simply forces. To perceive them, we have our own internal screen. And now instead of this screen it is necessary to create a new screen, and to see the true world on it.

The wisdom of Kabbalah allows us to discover what existed before the creation of our world up to the Big Bang to find out when the worlds were created. It allows us to see from the point we are now all the phases of the future development, “to the end of all the generations.”

The wisdom of Kabbalah tells us what modern physics cannot explain. Paleontologists’ excavations provide us with some information about the previous generations and about the evolutionary phases we have been through. But ordinary science cannot tell us anything about what was created before our world and what is beyond its limits, that is, what is not accessible to our corporeal senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.

Astrophysics studies the development of the universe starting from the Big Bang and the creation of space where all the galaxies, our solar system, and our planet appeared. We do have some information about this, but before the Big Bang there were not even concepts such as “place” and “time,” and therefore it cannot be perceived by our research. We cannot study what happened before the creation of place and time by ordinary methods.

Kabbalah can help us because it gives us new tools and sense organs and expands our senses and mind. Thus, we can explore a reality that is not perceived by our ordinary sensors.

Question: How can we study something that happened before the Big Bang, before the creation of our universe, if there was nothing then? Isn’t the Big Bang the starting point?

Answer: The Big Bang is the starting point of our corporeal world, which was created by a spark of upper energy that exploded. Astrophysics cannot explain how it happened. How could such great energy be concentrated in one tiny point in which the explosion occurred?

Physics now is nearing the point at which spiritual energy transformed into corporeal energy. From the spiritual world, it was microscopic energy. This spiritual energy went from the world of Ein Sof (Infinity) through five spiritual worlds: Adam Kadmon, Atzilut, Beria, Yetzira, and Assiya.

And on the boundary of the last world, when the world of Assiya weakens to a minimum, as if a tiny drop in the sea, this spiritual spark exploded and turned into corporeal energy from which the entire universe was created.

This is the point of the Big Bang that was the starting point of our world. Everything that preceded it applies only to the spiritual world, that is, the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Question: What is the secret of eternal youth?

Answer: The secret of eternal youth is to correct one’s nature from egoistic, which forces one to take care only of oneself, to altruistic in order to take care only of others.

It is a totally different approach to life and to people. Anyone who ceases to care about keeping eternal life and youth for oneself and begins to care about others will live forever. Indeed, he becomes similar to the eternal, perfect, infinite Light of life that fills the entire universe.

A person changes his nature to the nature of Light and turns into a channel through which the Light flows to people. He receives Light only in order to convey it to others.

Question: And meanwhile he would not grow old?

Answer: Our whole life is taking place within the biological, animal body, and that is why it is so short. Eternal existence is possible if we develop the force of love and bestowal, which is called the soul.

A person who has received this power feels that he belongs to eternity, to the other reality, the upper world, to the “Garden of Eden.” Therefore, the death of his physical body, this protein matter, does not bother him.

He will have to grow old and die—this is inevitable and always will be. But during his life in this body, a person has the opportunity to reveal his soul, to expand it, and to raise it to such a degree that through his inner force of bestowal and love he will become similar to the Light, the general force of the entire reality, which is called the Creator.

Question: Does this have anything to do with religion?

Answer: This is not connected with religion at all and is available to any person from any part of the world. Human life is not limited to the physical body, which is sooner or later destined to grow old and die. This material life is given to us as a lucky chance to find and develop one’s own soul during the existence of this body.

The average person feels everything through his body, and therefore it is important whether it is young or old or how many wrinkles it has. Here we are talking about developing beyond one’s biological, protein material, animal body, to another body—spiritual, that is, the desire to bestow and to love, to care about others.

This desire is called the spiritual body or soul. During this life in a physical body we have the opportunity to develop the spiritual body—the desire to bestow. Thus, we gradually move with all our thoughts, intentions, feelings in the spiritual body and begin to identify ourselves with the soul.

Despite the fact that our physical body lives in this world just like everyone else, our spiritual body becomes more important for us. We are concerned with the soul and develop it and attach less and less importance to the physical body until it disappears from our field of attention.

We do not feel its physical death, as people of this world. And there comes a time when we totally separate from that body because we have nothing else to do with it. Indeed, we have developed our soul and through it feel the existence within the force of bestowal and love, the Upper Light that fills the entire universe.

Time is an internal, personal, psychological, selfish option when I measure time as the difference between the time when I want something to aspire to something and when I realize that desire. I feel that time is always a lack of contentment.

If I were to receive what I wanted immediately, as soon as I wanted it—if the desire had been realized at once—I would not feel time. This is called being above time. For example, if receiving the desired happened with infinite speed, time approaches zero.

Our entire nature exists below the speed of light, and all the processes are rate limited. Because of this, we have time. After all, time, speed, and distance are related.

Theoretically, if we were to receive that which is desired at once, we would not sense time.

When I reach a state in which time would equal to zero—that is, if speed were infinite and the distance were reduced to zero—would space turn into a point? When can I perform an action, and immediately perform it, at the same moment, as soon as I wish? This is possible only in the act of bestowal, which depends on me.

If we moved away from the current connection between us in which each person receives from the other, to such communications when each person bestows upon the other and can bestow—he has something to give and the other desires to receive from him—then we would not feel time in the least.

Time is a habit. It is a purely psychological parameter, and this is talking scientifically.

In essence, what do we need if we are talking about real life implementation, about the correct management of time that is given to us? We need to know how to achieve the action of pure bestowal by which we rise to the level where we exist outside of time, space, and motion.

Indeed, if time equals zero, there is no motion and no space. Everything is located in the same place, at that point. We can reach this state if we change our attitude from reception to bestowal.

Question: Sometimes there is a feeling that it is difficult to manage one’s time, that we waste it. What should we avoid in order not to waste time?

Answer: The entire universe consists of two forces, the forces of bestowal and reception, plus and minus. We all live in the force of reception, and therefore are limited.

Indeed, how much can you receive of something from someone? I am not able to receive freely from some sources as I wish. Perhaps a spoiled child whom his or her parents love with absolute love can get from them whatever he or she wants, but their options are limited.

But if my desires grow and I am in a society where everyone is like me, then we are not able to fulfill our desires. Therefore, people are steeped  in drug use, depression, and so on, because they cannot fulfill themselves.

The force of reception is very limited, but the force of bestowal is not. Indeed, you can give without limit, “If I benefit from it with a good mood and a sense of life, I would give gladly.”

Our problem is that we are organized in such a way that we get pleasure from receiving, but not from bestowal. It is only if we give to our children, relatives, and loved ones that we derive pleasure from giving. The more we give, the more we enjoy. We have only a few such examples, but these are limited in time and do not grow in strength from giving pleasure.

Here you can continue to explore further: What would life be like if we organized it not by the receiving force, but by the force of bestowal? If we all had been born or could develop the force of bestowal and live in this paradigm, then it would not be limited regardless of time.

We would feel time differently—not with a sense of a constant lack of fulfillment when I feel the time between what I want and when I receive what I wanted. On the contrary, time would shrink to zero as measured between when I want to give and when I give.

If I can give and I have something to give, then I have no time. The sense of time disappears. Then we speak not from time, but from action. In other words, we leave the time frame. This is stated in modern physics and most of psychology, in the psychology of bestowal and not receiving.

Question: You said that every person must attain his own soul. Can you explain how I will behave once I attain my soul?

Answer: A person who attains his soul begins to see the spiritual world, the upper system that governs us. He begins to see everything above time, motion, and place.

The soul’s perspective isn’t from the birth to the death of the physical body, but from zero to infinity; to the height of the whole ladder a person climbs toward his soul. He will behave only for the benefit of the soul, just as at the moment a person’s behavior is determined only by pleasing his body, his egoistic desire.

A person who discovers his soul feels that this is a totally different life, as it is written, “I saw an upside down world.” Then, he begins to live for the soul since this his greatest eternal part. Previously, he felt pleasure in a totally different manner. The Light that fills the soul fills a person with pleasure that is 620 times greater than all the pleasures in this world.

Opinion (David Chalmers, Australian Philosopher and Cognitive Scientist): “Consciousness is the most mysterious phenomenon in nature. Why do we have consciousness? The answer is unknown. Physics explains chemistry, chemistry explains biology and psychology. But consciousness is beyond the normal definition of our world.

“Consciousness is fundamental. Physicists accept particular aspects of nature as basic: space, time, and mass. They deduce and derive the basic laws that govern nature. These characteristics and laws are not explained in any other form, and upon them a model of the entire world is built. If it is impossible to explain consciousness by means of the basic existing elements (space, time, and mass), then that must also be included in this list, accepting consciousness as a basic element of nature.

“Consciousness is universal. Every system has consciousness to a particular degree: Not only people, flies, and bacteria, but also the elementary particles. Even a photon has consciousness. Does a photon have understanding or thought; is it tormented by worry about where it is being carried with the speed of light? No, but there are possibilities that photons have some kind of subjective feeling, something that precedes consciousness.

“It could be that the connection of consciousness to physical processes is a connection of consciousness with information. There, where information is being processed, is where consciousness is also found. The integrated processing of information, as with humans, is integrated consciousness. The simple processing of information, this is simple consciousness.”

My Comment: The wisdom of Kabbalah maintains that everything is only in the human. And everything that seems to us as outside of the human only seems that way to us, but essentially everything is found within us, and outside of us there are no other creatures. Consciousness is connected with information, which depends only on connections with the Upper Light, the characteristic of bestowal.

Only the Ohr Makif (Surrounding Light) and the Ohr Pnimi (Inner Light), in all the forms that are created (still, vegetative, animate, including humans) maintain consciousness, to the degree of the development of the ego within them and the ascent above it. Question: Were there people in the past who found their souls? If so, where are the souls of those people?

Answer: Throughout all generations, there were many Kabbalists. The first of them was Adam HaRishon followed by twenty generations of Kabbalists until Abraham, after him appeared Isaac, Jacob, Moses, etc…. up to our time.

All these Kabbalists attained an extraordinary condition, a special vessel called the “soul” in which they revealed a higher power and eternal life. We all have to do it too.

Question: Where are their souls now?

Answer: Here we face the question: What does “where is the soul” mean, i.e., is there a place where a soul dwells? When we perceive spirituality, we begin to realize that there is no such thing as a place. Today, even quantum physicists state that there are no such things as place, time, or motion. All these parameters are relative; there is nothing tangible or real about them.

When we stop absorbing into our ego, going outside our selfishness in the direction of our neighbors, we start feeling the external reality that is beyond the boundaries of our ego. Then, all these conventions of time, motion, and space disappear.

Question: What if we die before we attain this state? After all, all these Kabbalists whom you mentioned lived many thousands of years ago…

Answer: The body dies, the animal level rather than something that belongs to the soul. If during one’s life one reaches the level of bestowing to one’s neighbor, i.e., one perceives one’s soul, this sensation of the soul is grasped. This part of us never dies.

My teacher Rabash said that if a person who attained spirituality dies, his physical body is like a shirt that he takes off in the evening and throws in the laundry. No more than that. Our physical body compared to our inner soul.

The whole world is an egoistic state of matter. Everything that is in the still, vegetative, and animate levels exists only in order to preserve itself in the best way possible.

In human matter it is even more exaggerated since I want to sustain myself in the best possible way compared to the rest of the environment of the still, vegetative, animate, and human levels. I have to be in the most comfortable state so that the whole universe will engage in serving my ego. This is a person’s natural inclination. If we could only see how we restrain ourselves internally just because we don’t want to suffer. I ask myself why I should torture myself just because I am not Einstein or Picasso. I don’t want to feel sorry as if I am cutting a part of myself off, accepting that I will not be a Tolstoy or Shakespeare…

The ego has a defensive reaction for every desire that isn’t fulfilled, but wherever I can, I want to grab and subdue everything for my own sake. This is our nature; a person is ready to swallow the whole world.

We cannot change our nature by ourselves. It was created and is sustained in us and in the whole universe thanks to a force called the Light. This force is invisible and not felt in any way by our senses, as it constantly creates, develops, and sustains the ego.

But inside the ego, there is a separate point that doesn’t belong to it, a point that scrutinizes the egoism. The Light that operates on the ego also affects this point. It begins to develop and feel where it is; asking itself, “I’m in some kind of nature? Who am I? Where am I?”

If this point seriously develops in a person (in fact this point exists in everyone, in some more and some less), it begins to ask itself: “What do is this for, why and from where? Why was I created? Was I created in order to suffer? If so, then I curse you as the source that has condemned me to such an existence. If it is for another purpose then what is it exactly? I demand an explanation from You!”

When a person demands an explanation from the Light, the Creator, he comes in contact with Him through the point in the heart, because this point is man and everything else exists in the animate state.

What can actually interest me? It can either be my own nature and how I exist within it in maximum comfort for several years and make as little effort as possible and receive as much pleasure as possible. Or, I yearn for my root, for my source, asking: “Who are You, the one who created and manages me?” This is the highest form of yearning in the dipole of the ego and the point that can develop within it.

The moment the point in the heart begins to develop, it can immediately be given its non-egoistic method of development that is fulfilled only under the influence of the upper Light. If this is what I want it to come to me more often, to have greater influence over me, it is revealed to me in my logic, understanding, and feelings,  in its goals and plans for me because it is the source of power, information—everything.

This is actually what the point in the heart or the human being in me demands. Then I am given the Torah and I begin to work with it. Anyone in whom this inclination is invoked should value it and truly fear that it could disappear and that he will remain a lump of stone of the ego or the beast.
